Pizza and wine

We sat outside and enjoyed our pizzas. I got a glass of prosecco as well. The server was very nice. My only suggestion would be making the outdoor seating area a little nicer. We will definitely come back.

Wait? I've never reviewed Luna Pizza Cafe? This is one of those things where I must have avoided it for so long because I love it so much and I was trying to gatekeep... although that's not really a thing if you're familiar with Greenville, NC. This is a downtown staple, right next to Pitt St Brewery. Pizzas are great and tiramisu even better. Probably my favorite thing on the menu, and the thing I crave the most often, is their salad with croutons, marinated tomatoes, salami, etc. Service is always great. Owner is always involved and serving customers. Beer and wine list extensive. Eat in at the bar or intimate tables or order to go.

Luna is a great lil artisan pizza joint. Food. The real star of the show is the eggplant appetizer. The eggplant is very crispy. The cheese is very cheesy. Combined together they make for the perfect combination of hot and tasty. The pizza is also very good but could be better. The complaint in a few of the reviews is that the crust in the middle is a bit oversauced and soggy. Those reviews are correct. If they can fix that I would bump the review up to a 5. Vibe. The buildout is nice. It is very intimate and well appointed. It is the perfect spot for a date or just hanging out with friends and family. I personally recommend setting at the bar, getting a cocktail, and getting down.

In town for our kids soccer tournament and so glad we chose this place for lunch. I would not be surprised if the owner had made a few trips to Naples, Italy...the pizza is reminiscent of that area. The dough has that perfect mix of crunch and chew. The pomodoro sauce is well balanced and delicious and the toppings are fresh. This pizza is done right!! Please bring it to Morrisville, NC! Great service including bringing my pup some water without asking. She appreciated it! 10 stars!

Such a cute and yummy pizza cafe! Love the atmosphere! The owner provided my young children with tattoos and a small bucket of toys to play with! I consider myself a bit of a pizza snob, having grown up in New Haven, CT and being so close to NYC. Ive had some terrible Napoleon pizza before and Luna is absolutely amazing and my absolute favorite! The basil was so fresh and the mozzarella chunks were so tasty. I was provided extra sauce to dip my crust into and the spices in the sauce were heavenly! We love this pizza plan and will continue to eat here when in town!

We went here a week or so ago and it was so delicious! Our waiter was really nice and looked like a young Freddie Mercury. We both made our own pizzas and got the antipasto salad. The dessert was incredible and even though we shared it, I think I hugged most of it! The owner is so friendly and it's nice to talk to us when we go in.

My fiancé and I have been in love with Luna since the day it opened. Whether it's food for date night or grabbing pizza to-go to eat at one of the breweries nearby, I always enjoy the food I get. Plus, their staff is absolutely wonderful. I've genuinely never had a bad experience and we've been going there for years. I also tell people that their spaghetti has ruined me on every other spaghetti because of how good it is.

I try to go to Luna every time I am back in Greenville. The pizza is one of my favorites and the eggplant app is amazing.

After being delivered the wrong order and waiting over an hour for food, we won't be patronizing Luna Pizza Cafe for the foreseeable future.

The other really nice thing was that everyone working there seemed happy to be doing their job. This is rare these days. In addition, they have gluten free options! Personal pizza to vegetable and rice noodles to give options for once to those avoiding wheat. I even saw a beautiful fish plate piled on grilled veggies for those watching the carbs. I watched those carbs flow right into my mouth and they were worth every one I ate! Also very reasonable on prices.Very busy for a Thursday night so you may want to go early.

We were seated quickly enough but the tables are set up so that some tables have chairs set so your back is directly in front of someone else's chair sideways. So, the diner sitting behind me stared at my back the entire time they were there. I just found this the most awkward of arrangements I've ever seen in a restaurant. I ordered a water & baked ziti with meatballs. When my lunch arrived I thought the meatballs looked dry but after tasting them, while they did look dry on the outside, they were moist and tasted delicious. The rest of the entree was a disappointment. I didn't feel as though there was enough sauce on the ziti, it tasted overcooked and the layers of cheese on top had baked too long. So long it was hard to break off and enjoy in one bite - ziti, meatball and cheese all in one taste. The toasted bread needed more butter as it was just dry toast to me. I had plenty of leftovers and tried to pawn them off on my husband for dinner. While he did eat it all he also made mention that even after heating it up in the microwave, the cheese was still hard to eat. Our server either had too many tables or just doesn't believe in refilling water. I had hopes that if my glass only had ice in it she would take that as a hint to refill it. It was not to be and I had to hunt down a drink soon as we left the restaurant. All in all, this isn't a place I would return to. I liked the atmosphere and the transparent kitchen, it just isn't a place I would spend anymore money in.

I discovered Nino's when looking for places to dine over my stay in Greenville, NC. I read it was a…read morebusy place so I made sure to make a reservation. When I arrived, I thought I was going to a fine dining establishment with the decor outside and patio. Even the chandeliers and painted ceiling when entering set my expectations high. Then I was seated in the empty Rat Pack room. It was obvious that I was exiled to be hidden away from the other diners in the main dining area. A couple did join me over an hour later. I would have been fine dining in the room to myself if the staff standing around the hostess stand were not loudly complaining about their personal problems such as their high electric bills, rent payments or needing to complete homework. These conversations belong in the break room, and not for guests to need to listen to, so much for the fine dining atmosphere. My waitress was friendly but did not go over the specials, or seem that familiar with the menu. I started with the Sicily Sunset and some bread. Then I ordered the Pear and Cheese Sacchetti. The pasta pouches filled with cheese and pears in an Alfredo sauce. It was to come with the garnish of cracked pepper, Romano cheese and parsley but that was missing. Parmesan was added at the table. I was a little shocked when my dish arrived within minutes of ordering. It made me feel like I was being rushed as I was isolated and the food came out too quickly. I do wonder if it was freshly made. I could tell they were trying to turn the table quickly as then the dessert menu arrived while I was still eating my entree. The pasta dish was good with the textures and flavor. I would have had a better opinion of the food if I had just ordered that and skipped the dessert. The dessert menu wasn't very Italian so that was disappointing. I had to laugh that the assorted Italian cookies contained chocolate chip, sprinkles, and a chocolate dipped cookie. I did take a photo of the menu, so you can read it yourself. I went with the profiterole, not realizing their version was pre-made. So they took it out of the refrigerator and served it cold. The pasty's texture was changed by the temperature and was chewy. The chocolate ganache had hardened rather than flowing like lava. The dish was not good and I didn't finish. I did mention to the waitress that it was not good and she just said that they might make it different. They pre-prepare it so it isn't fresh. For the price, the service, atmosphere and pacing were below professional standards. I do not recommend Nino's if you are looking for an upscale environment. I would not return after my experience.

It was sooooo nasty; and what I failed to understand was between the kitchen and waitstaff how something so disgusting could end up on a table...I noticed a table near me ordered the same special, and watched as it was also sent back. Decided to go with Eggplant Parm - literally greasy, DEEP FRIED eggplant in some kind of nasty tomato ketchup sauce. Absolutely inedible. As we were leaving, we noticed the 'Help Wanted Kitchen Staff' by the front door. Says it all. This was beyond a disappointment; the owners should be ashamed of themselves for letting food this bad make it to tables! We are NEVER, EVER getting back together.

From the parts I got to see inside was small table seating around the bar. We got lucky to sit in at the outdoor covered patio seating which was great minus perhaps some outdoor heaters to warm it up a bit. Service was good overall. Servers were fun and helpful. Service a bit slow on our drink refills but the food running and table bussing was fast. Food was great, wished I had taken pics to share. Menu consisted of a good selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and sides. Everything we tried was great. Chicken nachos were awesome, wish they had been a bit bigger but the topping portions was perfect and the taste amazing. The Cuban and fried pork chop sandwiches were again great and the spicy sweet potato fries were so good. Potion sizes were good and the food tasty. The nachos and spicy sweet potato fries were my faves. While probably not the place for young families, this was a hidden gem and fantastic find. Not really for those in wheelchairs as it is tight getting through the bar area, but there was a small ramp I recall.
