Smh. The cheese isn't even melted.

Came for the pizza by the slice and a steak and cheese. I didn't listen to my gut and walk out. So once again disappointed in my choices. The wait was 30 mins there were approx 3 other customers already seated and eating. I had to remind them we were waiting. Then the final product... yikes. This is a never again.

Single supreme pizza and Chicken Fingers

We scheduled a trip to shop at the Carolinas Premium Outlet in Smithfield but we started getting hungry so we took a quick detour to this restaurant. What led us to this joint was the strong recommendation from fellow Yelpers (so helpful!). The place wasn't so busy so we were seated promptly. We decided on the solo pizza and the chicken tenders. Sometimes it's the simplest fare that gives the best impression. The pizza was prepared superbly! The crust was delectably crunchy without being tough and the toppings were delicious! If this place wasn't too far from where I live, I'd be here everyday. Of course I still love the pizza at Johnny's. But variety is the spice of life and it doesn't hurt to try other things. The chicken tenders were slightly overcooked on the outside but remarkably moist and tender inside. I don't know how they did it. So with that, let's pass on the grades The pizza was an A-. The tenders was a C+ The service was adequate. I hope to come back again and try the rest of their fare.

The food was not prepared as ordered. My wife is a vegetarian and the special for Friday was a 1 topping large pizza so I ordered half mushroom half cheese. They instead gave me half pepperoni and half pepperoni and mushrooms. Wife ended up having to go to papa John's to get a pizza instead. The fried mushrooms were ok. Tons of batter on them. My gyro platter was very disappointing. No sauce. Meat really dry. And fries cold and soggy. Yes it was very busy but if you're going to take so long to fulfill the order at least complete it right. Prob won't order from here again.

This was a really tasty pizza. The flavor, crust, sauce, cheese everything on point. Will definitely come back!

    Meat lovers calzone

This is one of those sweet places you only know about from locals! Staff is super friendly and anticipates your needs...aka they brought me a box with my MASSIVE calzone! My mom ordered a chef salad, and it looks delicious, also huge. The calzone crust with perfect, golden Crispiness, vented just right.

Excellent pizza, obviously fresh ingredients, attentive wait staff. Highly recommend it for the pizzas we had.

Fresh ingredients, homemade crust, great friendly staff, not sure what more you cold want from a pizza place! We had a small Veggie pizza with generous toppings and a more traditional small one also generously topped! They even brought separate serving utensils which we've never had anyone do before, they said they knew some people didn't want to mix uses. We were passing though but will definitely stop again!

Had a craving for some pizza and garlic knots, so I ordered from Angelo's through Doordash. The garlic knots were a tiny bit over cooked, but overall still delicious. Who wouldn't enjoy bread covered in garlic and parmesan? CARB ME UP, BABY! Pizza was spot on- definitely would order again.

Small pepperoni pizza w/ green peppers and spinach.

Pizza was so good! Staff was nice and wearing masks. Tables were spaced out well and felt comfortable eating inside. We are from out of town but will definitely be back if we pass through again!

    Veggie pizza - yum!

Since I was going to be in their town in a few days and only live about 20 minutes from Melina's I decided to order some and bring it in a cooler so my mother could surprise her. I'm glad I ordered it ahead of time. It was a smooth process and allowed me to choose a few things to try on my own. I followed my GPS to the teenie-tiny building Melina's is located in. Walked in and was greeted by a big smile from one of their workers with a chef's coat on. She grabbed my box quickly from their freezer and answered a few of my curious questions. She seemed to love what she did! How refreshing! She welcomed my questions and was just an overall cheerful person. Tried some of their pasta about a week later. It was goodness in a string. There is NO comparison to store-bought pasta. Melina's pasta is delicious! Also, Melina's sauce- better than the rest. For real. I'm thrilled to have Melina's to go to for all things pasta (and sauces). I'm supporting a small, local business and it's delicious! Win-win!

We were sat in the back of the restaurant and felt tucked away, but this didn't hinder service in the slightest. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. He knew the menu and had a confident answer to every question. Before being sat at our table, we grabbed a drink at the bar and asked the bartender about the menu. There was a woman who took special time to explain what the menu items were and how they differed from your usual "chicken or beef etc". Which was not only informative, but interesting too. Onto the star of the show, the meal. We ordered the bison & farro and the poulet rouge carbonara. Both of these dishes were phenomenal. I've never had a culinary experience even close to this one. These are meals you think about for the rest of your life. The textures and flavors together resulted in an exquisite explosion of harmony. The kitchen staff put their heart and soul into these dishes and it is obvious! I cannot wait for my next visit.

Anyway, Was shown to my table, a male server showed up, lit the candle, and I didn't see anyone for 18 minutes while two tables around me were greeted, cleared the table of extra dishes not needed and was served water, and their plates for the dinner buffet. The server that lit the candle, came back, asked if my server showed up. Uh, no. Finally, a woman server came by, went to the other table. Can't make this up. Then she realized they were being taken care of. She finally made it to me. I informed her I was dining alone, she cleared extra dishes, asked if I needed salt or pepper. Interesting question considering I didn't have any food. She filled my water glass, then brought my plate, as it was a dinner buffet night. Their first dinner buffet. No excuse for the poor service, though. Make me feel important, valued whether dining alone or with a group, please. The buffet had a great variety of proteins and sides. A couple of beef strip choices, shredded chicken, crisp tortillas to build your own nachos for the kids, fried catfish, fried chicken patty, salmon, swordfish, all cut into small portions. Proteins were the perfect size to try everything without filling up. A carving station consisted of sirloin, pork loin, sausage and baked salmon. The seasoning on every protein at the buffet and carving station was different. Excellent. Sides included mac and cheese, roasted potatoes, a squash medley, Brussels Sprouts, and mashed potatoes. A nice spread for a salad included mixed greens, large leaves of them. All the veggie toppings, two kinds of shredded cheeses, house made croutons, four dressings and fresh fruit that blew me away. Every bite of the fruit was ripe, sweet. Not the hard, no flavor offerings at some establishments/groceries this time of year. The gumbo had large pieces of shrimp, crawfish, sausage, potatoes, and smaller pieces of mussels, mini shrimp, etc. The breads selection was biscuits, baguette and others. All fresh, soft and crunchy. Great to dip into the gumbo broth. Dessert offerings included brownies and cookies. I opted to enjoy a brownie along with the fresh berries/fruit. They also offer a Sunday brunch buffet. The other nights they have a full menu. Be aware, they automatically add in a "brunch gratuity" of 20% to the bill. Overall, I would visit again.

We subscribe to offline platforms specifically to discover new places--and we often return and pay full price because, for us, the quality of food and service is what matters most. That's the whole point of an offline experience. Speaking from my experience: the staff member initially took out a piece of tiramisu that looked perfectly fine--not frozen. But right in front of me, he switched it out and served a freezer-burnt piece instead. I'm quite sure that piece was going to be thrown out anyway, so it wasn't a loss caused by me. Unfortunately, he wasn't apologetic--in fact, his response was aggressive, both in tone and body language. He gave me a piece that was okay at first and then while I was paying switched it put to a freezer burnt piece! When I asked him about it he was super aggressive and said he'd give me a refund but I should get an entree instead. And oh yeah he said I could keep that frozen crappy piece too!
