First off we stop in during off hours, before dinner and after lunch. We sat down and waited a long time before we got served. She brought water but no glasses. I got a Irish ice coffee and it was horrible. Tasted like water down coffee with a splash of Jameson. My friend and I decided to try this place after reading through the reviews. However, we had the worse experience. We ordered the steak platter, french onion soup, and the corn dip. The steak platter was $55 and I normally wouldn't care if the quality of the food was good. The meal was suppose to consist of skirt steak, sausage, thick cut bacon, and jerk ribs. The steak was completely inedible and extremely hard to chew. The sausage tasted nothing like what we expected and was extremely spicy. I'm very sensitive to spice and the menu didn't state anything about any of the options being spicy. The jerk ribs were okay, but we both didn't like the taste of them. As for the thick cut bacon, it was again absolutely disgusting, very chewy, which again was something else that was inedible. The garlic fries were the only thing we liked about the dish. The sides we got were good, a little over priced, but would recommend the corn dip. When I spoke to our waitress about how we didn't eat any of the food and we're wondering if we didn't have to pay for it, being it was very expensive and we weren't able to eat it. The waitress talked to the manager who said since there was nothing "wrong" with the food, he wouldn't do anything about the situation and we would still have to pay. Never going back and wouldn't recommend. Wish I could have saved $55 and went to McDonald's or literally anywhere else to get better service/decent priced and tasting food. read more

It looked like a nice pub to have dinner. My friend ordered the crab cakes and they were expensive but very good. I ordered the Caesar Salad which said it had shaved pecorino cheese and croutons. It came to the table as a plate of shredded romaine. That's it. Lettuce. No cheese. No croutons. I asked the server for some shaved cheese and croutons. He said they were out of croutons and offered me some powdered parmesan. How do you screw up a simple caesar salad? We waited to pay our tab as he was too busy flirting with other patrons. When he saw us starting to walk out he managed to take our bill and process it. Will not be back - lots of other good options in Ogunquit. read more

Went there on a whim, regretted it once we got our food. The server, Jhoan, came over quickly and brought us our drinks. No issues. Went to order, was told as we are ordering no pulled pork, no mussels, ok we picked something else. Our appetizer was brought by someone else. Our server never checked on us. Came back as we finished our app to tell us he did have pulled pork, so my husband ordered it, told him no slaw. Food came to the table by someone other than our server. Food was wrong. His pulled pork had slaw on it, my chicken BLT was supposed to come with a salad, chicken was dry, and there was very little flavor. Our server didn't check on us for the entire meal. We did see him but couldn't get his attention. He was getting silverware and doing other things, and it looked like a shift change. My husband pulled off the slaw from his sandwich, i didn't even eat half my sandwich and still couldn't get our servers' attention. Finally, at the end of our meal, another server saw us looking around and asked what we needed. She ended up getting us our check and even running the credit card. I am very disappointed in this whole experience and definitely will not recommend it to others. read more

They went from a 2 star to a 5 star review! I don't write reviews normally, but this experience was worth mentioning. I called Crew at least a 1.5 months ahead to make reservations for 20 people to celebrate a bachelorette. Whitney confirmed they could accommodate. I asked her the best time to make the reservations for if we wanted to leave by 7:30 to head to our next planned event. She said 5:15-5:30 especially because it was going to be Cinco de Mayo weekend and they would expect it to be busy (keep this in mind later). I called the Tuesday before our reservations to give a final head count of 19 and to ask if we could bring the cake to the restaurant. Not sure who I spoke to, but they said they would mark my reservation as confirmed and that the restaurant could cut and serve the cake - incredible that they didn't even have a serving fee! Fastforward to the day of the bachelorette. I have music playing through my phone for all to hear. I get a call from "Wells, ME" and I assume this may be the restaurant so I answer. Music stops... I answer and it is Crew calling to confirm my reservations (strange, I just did so a few days ago). I let them know we are down to 18 guests but yes, we'll be there between 5:15-5:30. Music resumes. Keep in mind, I am now wrangling the guests to come together and watch the bachelorette open her gifts. 2 minutes later I get a call back (music stops) telling me they don't think they can accommodate to all of us sitting together. I asked to speak to a manager. I spoke with Chris who repeated that they were so busy with the Kentucky Derby that they didn't think they could accommodate to all of us sitting together. I tried my best to stay calm as the party is now awkwardly silent. I told Chris it was extremely disappointing to hear this as I had made these reservations over a month ago, confirmed this week, and was even told they knew it would be a busy weekend with Cinco de Mayo. If my party size was not going to be accommodated they should have told me no back then and I would have moved onto another restaurant. I told him I understand the situation he was in but I would appreciate if he could try his best to accommodate our party sitting together. He asked if it was possible to show up before 5 and that might help. I told him I would try but this is now an inconvenience to us and already 3:30. Try as we did but we didn't end up getting there until the reservation time of 5:15. I showed up and introduced myself to Chris and he said "I think we figured it out". THEY ABSOLUTELY DID! The entire second bar in front of open air windows with 3 surrounding tables and a reserved size cutting off the rest of the restaurant. We didn't just have tables together, we had an ENTIRE SECTION with our own bar for our guests to use. It is exactly what I wanted in a venue but not what I would have expected at Crew because it is a smaller establishment. They knocked it out of the park! This setup allowed the bride-to-be to roam from table to table to mingle with her guests. Incredible! Not only did they redeem themselves with where we sat but the bartenders (who also took and served our orders) were INCREDIBLE! Alex and Shaun were personable, friendly, fast, and all around AMAZING! I mentioned to them that there were 18 and to cut enough cake to have at least one piece left over to take home for the groom. The cake was cut and served flawlessly and not only did they give us one piece for the room, they put it into a to go container. PERFECT TOUCH. So minor but a detail that was appreciated. I just assumed we'd get the big box back with whatever was leftover. The food was also incredible! Squash rings...YUM! All the guests were so pleased! Thank you so much! read more

We walked in today and the place was very busy. We were seated right away and ordered beverages. After ordering our brunch, we waited over 45 minutes for our food to be served. After a half an hour, the waitress came to say that she apologized for the delay, the kitchen was short. I understand that, sign of the times, but we should have been notified when we walked in that food service would be slow. To make matters worse, the owner of the business came in after we were there about 30 minutes with two other people. Their food was brought out before everyone's orders who had been waiting! We've come to Ogunquit several times over the last 10'years, and have always wanted to try Crew, but it's always packed. We decided to head to head there early (5ish) for dinner this year, and we were able to get right in. It's small inside but the decor is pretty and nautical & the music was good. My hubby and I started w the shishito peppers, which were good and not filing. Our five year old had a generous portion of chicken tenders and fries and my husband liked his salmon which was also a nice sized portion. Unfortunately for pregnant me, they sent me a crab cake sandwich with Mayo (I avoid due to the raw egg). Normally, I'd advise this when ordering but it wasn't listed on the menu as an ingredient. I sent it back (the waitress was nice about it) but they sent out another and this one was missing the pickled onion, which I suspect was what gave it flavor because it wasn't that tasty. Overall, I'm bummed about the food experience & for the price, I feel like it should be a lot better. read more

we ate here for my birthday dinner. it was spectacular. everything was delicious, fresh and on point. we sat in the bar area, our server was FANTASTIC. he went above and beyond. made great coctails and even got his girlfriend to come across the street to bring a birthday candle for me. our bartender even waved to us the next day as we were walking around. if we had another night in ogunquit I would 1000% eat there again. cant wait to go back and visit. read more

Staff and service was great. Food can be way better. Ordered the burger which was ok. What disappointed the most was the soggy oily fries. I was looking forward to crispy delicious garlic fries and that is not What I got. I'm not sure how a restaurant can mess up fries, but maybe it's the container they come in. July 19, 2022 - I brought family members to enjoy a great dinner at Crew after raving about the great meals I had there last summer. My mistake... We should have chosen another restaurant in the area. Here are some reasons why: * Upon entering the restaurant, the hostess tried seating us right in front of the gentleman singing. The noise from the speaker was so loud, we couldn't hear what the hostess (or any of us) was saying. We asked if we could sit off to the side where all the tables were empty. Reluctantly, the hostess pointed to the table across the room that we could seat ourselves. Noise level was still extremely loud and our table ate in silence because nobody could hear anything that was said. *Drinks were ordered and took awhile to get to our table. Once our orders were given to the waitress, we never saw her again until our plates had been cleared by a bus person. Members in our party stopped another wait staff member and asked for a refill on their soda. Drink sat on bar counter (saw bartender refilling glass) and no one brought it over. Ten minutes later, same bus person walked by and we asked her if she could hand it to us. She gladly brought the refill over. * Speaking of soda refills... Be prepared to pay $4.00 for each soda refill. That was a surprise on the bill. Crew should state on menu that refill drinks will be added to your bill. * Sandwiches were okay. Nothing to "crew" about. * When our waitress finally showed up at the end of the meal and presented our bill, I tried using a $100.00 gift certificate that a family member had given us last week. The waitress said we couldn't use it. We asked to speak to the manager. Manager arrived and said we couldn't use it. We showed her the redemption code and it (gift certificate) stated at bottom that to redeem our gift card, go to Crew. She stated that she has honored redemption codes in the past, only to have people use them again. She said that once a gift card is purchased, you have to wait until you receive it in the mail before using. I explained that we were out of state and leaving at the end of the week. Why couldn't she honor the redemption code? No apologies, discount on bill, etc. This is Crew policy. The gift certificate doesn't say to go to "Crew.com" to redeem. It states to redeem it at "Crew". This dinner experience was a huge disappointment. The $100.00 gift card to the Crew restaurant will sit on a corner of my desk collecting dust if it ever arrives in the mail. read more

The newest tourist trap in Ogunquit is overpriced and over-iced! My spouse and I ordered cocktails called "Calm before the storm". At $13 a piece, we were expecting something spectacular. Imagine our disappointment when they were served in small rocks glasses, and it was full of ice and maybe three sips. Moving on to the food. We each ordered the Harvest Salad with grilled chicken. It took over 30 minutes to get our food! How long does it take to prepare a salad? It was supposed to be prepared with a white balsamic dressing, but they must have run out because all we could taste was olive oil, so they must have thrown in olive oil instead. There was no empathy or attempt at service recovery by our server, Stephanie. She couldn't have cared less. In fact, my spouse asked for salt and pepper, and she never came back. We had to get another server's attention to bring the salt and pepper to the table. You would think our server would be waiting on us hand and foot since it took so long. Being short handed cannot be used as an excuse in this situation. The establishment seemed well staffed, and we observed other patrons who ordered after us get their food before us! However, if a noisy and chaotic atmosphere is your thing, then this is the perfect place for you. Our bill came to $96...a total rip off for what we got. Needless to say, we will NEVER return to this establishment again...it's overpriced and the service is LOUSY! read more
