Disappointed. This isn't creole food. My catfish and grits were dry as heck. No sauce (though they did give me hot sauce and tartar sauce), no flavor either. Dry dry dry. I was expecting a bowl of grits smothered with sauce and topped with chunks of catfish. Service was nice. Downtown spot has a lot of potential.

It was just a random Saturday morning and I had the hankering for some shrimp and grits. I remember this place from back in the day had some really good shrimp and grits so I decided to look them up and to my delight they were still open. They moved from their previous location in the strip mall, and this new location is much more easily accessible, and I see they've updated a lot of the decor. As usual, the shrimp and grits did not disappoint, and my husband enjoyed his catfish and grits. The coffee was not the greatest in my opinion, but they did try to get us a fresh pot made, and it just still didn't hit. The server was pleasant and professional, and the prices weren't too bad either. If you are in the neighborhood, I suggest you stop by AB's always remember to support local businesses

I just had a coffee to drink.

I went to Creole Kitchen recently for breakfast and I must say for the quality of food, price point, friendly staff, and portion size this place might be one of my new go to breakfast spots. The restaurant was clean, food came out quick and hot. Everything was seasoned well. The french toast and sausage were hands down the stars of the show. The sausage was a little spicy but I liked it. And I don't know what kind of bread they used for the French Toast but It was nice and soft and just overall delicious. There was also free on street parking and plenty of indoor seating.

Open at new location 795 E Long Street from 8 am to 9 or 10 pm, closed Mondays. Our server was so polite, professional, and made us feel well cared for. We came for breakfast and everything we had was wonderful! Lots of people coming in to pick up take out. Right next to the iconic Lincoln Theatre, so you can combine dinner with a show without moving your car.

Best seafood boil I've had in Columbus!…read more Kai's Crab Boil is hands down one of my favorite seafood spots in Columbus. The gumbo is fantastic and honestly some of the most authentic I've had here in Columbus. It's packed with flavor and really stands out. Their shrimp and crab with the garlic butter sauce at a medium heat level is absolutely incredible. The seasoning and spice are perfect, and paired with their cornbread... OMG It's SO good! The service was great, and the ambiance was really nice too. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. If you're looking for a seafood boil with authentic Cajun/Creole flavors, I definitely recommend Kai's. Everything we had was delicious, and I can't wait to go back!

We sat on the upstairs balcony and had a lovely meal. We started with soups and salads, the lobster bisque was incredible, I mean presentation alone was lovely. My husband ordered a Pepsi and was brought cherry Pepsi, then on our seafood tower we ordered 8 shrimp cocktail and were given only 7. My husband also got the twice baked potato but that also came out wrong and the server said she would take it off the bill, she did not. It was not good. The steak the reason we went... was a huge disappointment. We got the filet and the large ribeye. It just wasn't good, for the amount that they charge you expect to have great food and excellent service. Sadly both were lacking. I will never go here again that's how bad it was. I also never want to go to another Cameron Mitchell restaurant. I was so looking forward to it and was so disappointed. The lobster bisque and bread were good. We didn't get a check we got a total it wasn't until we paid and I asked for a receipt did I get the itemized that showed that we were charged for what she said we wouldn't. I thought it odd.

When it got darker later in the evening, it was a decent view. I did like the fire place which is right in front of where our table was located. The server informed us of the items that were about to get 86'd which was the prime rib so I had to put my order in immediately. The table got a variety of things from a salmon dinner to a burger. The best looking item was the lobster mac and cheese. There was a whole lobster tail in there! My prime rib was okay. The au jus was mid and didn't add much to the meat. The carrots and mashed potatoes were great. The caviar seafood dip with chips were very bland. I didn't taste anything but the crème fraiche. My friend ordered the Buckeye Pie for dessert which he loved. Said it was a 5 star dessert. The timing of the food was off as people were halfway through their mains when others came out. I waited until everyone got their food leaving my prime rib cold. Got a tequila cocktail which was served in an interesting mug. Kind of made it hard to drink from. All and all, the restaurant was okay but not my first choice for a group dinner.

Our server Kelcie, who was 5* by the way, helped us in navigating all the intricacies to the ingredients. Lots of nuance to the menu. Our choices: lamb appetizer, black cod, sirloin, and chocolate mousse; each were tasty, presented well, and excellent dishes. The potato cake on the steak was very different and well done. Our Old Fashion had a nice taste. The place is very small and reservations are a must. The GM Michael came by and chatted us up...to thank us for coming, and glad they were able to accommodate our food needs. Nice touch. Excellent bathrooms. Thanks for that. The small cozy atmosphere was a delight to enjoy a wonderful meal and conversation. The drinks were exceptionally great and since I'm coming from California, very affordable. The food was delicious, especially the braised beef croquets, chicken friend mushrooms, whipped ricotta, and sourdough. The pork collar and the tare squash were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I requested the sommelier to recommend a wine that would compliment our order and the Domaine de Ferrand Chateauneuf - du- Pape a fine French wine from the Rhone Valley was our selection. This was a beautiful bottle and fine selection. John, our server was the perfect gentlemen and server with great personality and full of customer service.
