If your hours state a closing time at 10pm, why are you on the phone lying saying yall close at 9:30 or you just didn't feel like doing your job?? Upon my arrival, there is no parking, you have to park on the street, but the street parking is always full. Honestly with so little they offered, is kind of expensive. This place is definitely unique, and I think I didn't exactly know what I was doing…read more This place is extremely casual, and for those who know, I don't recommend going on hair washing day . It's very small, and most people appeared to get take out. Per usual, we ordered A LOT... and all at one time. That was our mistake. I recommend ordering your food a few skewers at a time so the food doesn't have time to get cold. They offer a warming grate, but it doesn't do much. Initially, I loved the skewers. However, they use the same seasonings on everything... which gets a little overwhelming. I really enjoyed the green beans, chicken, wings, potatoes, and beef; my husband enjoyed the prawns and lamb (I don't like either meat, so I didn't try those). The hotdog was 'ok'. It has been a while since I have been here, so I am open to going back and trying more items.

Once the ice cream starts melting, things get even more gooey and delicious! So. Freaking. Good. I went during lunch and had the benefit of trying my wife's cheesesteak which is only one the lunch menu. Now, I loved my burger and the thick cuts of bacon that overflowed from the circumference on the buns. Somehow, that cheesesteak was a notch above that. The cheese sauce was the key ingredient. If you get a sandwich, my vote is for the fries over the kettle chips. But my biggest vote is for going to South Village Grille in the first place because they really impressed during my lunchtime visit.

I wasn't obsessed with the blue cheese at first because I like mine a little stronger, but once I paired it with the sauce that came with the wings... chef's kiss. Together they were so good. The real star of the meal though? The jalapeño corn spoon bread with the honey butter. BABY. It was sweet, savory, buttery, and had just the right little kick. I will absolutely be ordering that every single time I come back. My friend tried both the baked oysters and the fried oysters, and she said the baked oysters were the winner because they had so much more flavor. Overall, such a cute spot with some really tasty food. The spoon bread alone is worth the visit. 8.8/10 Also Alex was our server! Super cute and fun she was the best!

Great First Visit at Colo Market and Oyster Bar…read more Stopped by Colo Market and Oyster Bar at North Market for the first time today. While there are plenty of fresh seafood options on offer, I went with my go-to favorite: fish and chips. The service was impressively quick--food arrived boxed neatly and everything was piping hot. The star of the show was the corn-dusted fried pollock paired with fresh-cut fries. Absolutely delicious. It came with a nice pickle spear, a lemon wedge, and something listed as "tartar sauce" that turned out to be a from-scratch remoulade packed with herbs. It was a standout touch that really elevated the meal. Will definitely be returning next time I'm at North Market.

The ambience is a bit over the top -- pink chandelier over the bar, and there is a dance club next door. I suppose it depends on what you're looking for--I didn't mind it, but I was in the minority :). The mussels were okay but were tremendously under seasoned and even after adding much needed salt, they remained just okay. They came with cheese bread and honestly it made the dish unnecessarily heavy and made it difficult to dip the bread in the broth. My wife and I shared the 16 oz ribeye -- it was cooked a perfect medium rare, but the meat itself was chewy and gristly, not what you'd expect from USDA prime. The saving grace was the side of Brussels sprouts -- they were excellent. In terms of drinks, I really liked my dirty martini (with vodka and olives with blue cheese).

This is a 'special occasion' type of place as it is very pricy. But the food is definitely reflects the atmosphere, pricing and service because anything we tried was very good to excellent. In no particular order - burrata (very good), truffle pasta (excellent), fish of the day - cod (very good), crispy rice (good, but wouldn't order it again as there was nothing special to it), wagyu meatballs (very good but didn't taste any different than regular meatballs), 3 appetizers - crispy brussels sprouts, broccolini and truffle fries (all were good to very good). Definitely worth going once, if you have credit card to pay for it (restaurant does charge 3% transaction fee. You would think at these prices and these type of restaurant, they would not do it but...)

I am Disappointed. Hatred, Blatant Racism, and Unconscious Bias that equate to racism are all…read morewrong. My husband and I just picked up our dinner from a local restaurant near this store. As we walked up the stairs, we exchanged greetings with another shopper (a white female). When we reached the top of the stairs, we turned left towards the bar/liquor store. A white woman who worked there was sitting at the bar reading a newspaper. She looked up over her glasses and, in a very abrupt and accusatory tone, said, "CAN I HELP YOU?" My husband instantly turned around and walked away in disappointment. I responded, "Hello, we're just looking," and followed him. While in the adjacent wine section, I told my husband, "She was kind of rude." He replied, "That's exactly why I walked away. We'll get some wine and pay downstairs." Now, stay with me for a moment. The area was well-lit, and there was a glass divider separating the two rooms. While I was considering my options for a red blend near the back wall my husband looked at the white wines. In a more welcoming tone, the same woman who had been sitting at the bar addressed another shopper (a white male) in a very welcoming and charismatic voice, saying, "Hi, how are you? What can I help you with?" as she walked over to him with a smile. I instantly recognized the difference in her demeanor. Even my husband noted, "She didn't talk to us like that." We then proceeded downstairs to the customer service desk. My husband felt I shouldn't share my concerns because this behavior happens daily, and he believed nothing would change. However, I decided to speak with the manager, Sabrina, who kindly listened to my experience. Sabrina responded by saying "Well, I've never had anyone else complain about her as an associate and repeated it to me twice before saying, but I'll look at it." That was not the response I was hoping for; an apology would have been welcomed. However, I honestly do not know what I expected. I do not want the associate to lose her job or anything crazy, but her attitude toward us was crazy and offensive. Should she be educated? Yes, absolutely. Had the roles been reversed, I would have likely been fired, handcuffed by an all-white group of Bexley Police officers, and charged with assault and misconduct of some magnitude. Or I could have reacted in the same way as the associate, inappropriate, disrespectful, and racist, and I still would have been arrested in the same manner mentioned above. I'm so sick and tired of the racism and hostility. My husband and I are educated, working-class humans who respect others and deserve to be treated equally, just like every other customer, no matter what we look like or how we identify. We may be only two of many shoppers, but I will not be returning to the store at all. I am disappointed. Hatred, blatant racism, and unconscious bias that equates to racism are all wrong.

I ordered the ceviche on happy hour (very clearly stating this intent to the waitress). It was ok - fresh but not very flavorful, most of the flavor was onion and a small amount of lime. It was small bowl amount, not a ton at all- had I been hungry going in I would have still been hungry after. It came with a very large plate of chips that were a little odd? Almost stale in texture. But the kicker was when I got the bill the waitress had charged full price. When I pointed out it was on happy hour she said she would talk to the manager but then came back and said since I got the full plate and not the happy hour plate brought out they couldn't adjust the bill. Despite not ordering that/having no context for it (also very curious how small the happy hour plate could have been). Finding parking is a CHALLENGE- especially with all the construction. Not fun and not the safest area. Overall a poor experience compounded on itself.
