However, what I got was garlic butter, butter, butter and very mild, no spice. Because I felt a gag-reflex coming on, I decided to take the rest home. However, the service was good. Suggestion: Management should discourage customers from filming the restaurant and using the cell flash feature on the phone to capture the restaurant and other guests. This place was suggested by my dad and I was not aware of what was going to go down as we pulled into the empty lot. Service was okay. The staff does the bare minimum to be honest. They'll get you your drinks initially and take your orders but there's not much up keeping during the meal. The server my dad and i had kept AirPods in the entire time. We passed this place a couple weeks ago and decided to check it out. It was perfect for a Saturday date night dinner. Overall summary, expect to spend a little $$ here (it's seafood), and the food was good, the restaurant was clean and the hostess and server were very friendly. The only negative thing I could say is the service was slow and this was for order placement, drink re-fills, and getting the check processed. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant has a giant shark hanging outside. We went in and I took in all the atmosphere as we were greeted and quickly seated. There was a slight wait before ordering. We both had the A1 Signature Bombes, Low Country Boil ($31 each) - it had 1/2 LB Snow Crab Legs, 1/2 LB Shrimp, 1/2 LB All Meats Sausage, 1 Boil Egg, 1 Corn, 1 Potato. The shrimp didn't have heads but did have the shells. Keep that in mind when you dig in. I did a combo sauce of the Medium heat Cajun/garlic butter. Your sauce options are Cajun, Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, House Special (which is all 3). You can also choose your heat level of mild, medium, hot, and super-hot. I believe It could have been a bit hotter but didn't want to overdo it trying out a new place. For the dinners, they give you a bucket, gloves, bibs and forks. We did have ask for shell crackers and there are warning signs everywhere not throw you cutlery in the bucket. They aren't playing around with that or their $3.00 cokes. The food was delicious and a mess. I do have a helpful hint while eating, if you need it there is a sink and hand washing station conveniently located away from the restrooms in the man area. I didn't see it until we were done and laughed as I made about 4 to 5 trips to the bathroom sink. For two, plan on dropping around $85+ if you get the boil bags, drinks, and include your gratuities. It's worth it for the food and the experience. Not an every Saturday thing for me but was fun. And I did want to mention they there are a lot other options on the menu including soups, sandwiches, crab cake baskets, oysters, fish, chicken wings and tenders. You do not have to go with their Signature Bombes (Low Country Boil) but that is what I would recommend trying if you haven't experienced one! read more

My order was ready in 10 min. The food was hot and fresh when I got home. Order: Lunch special - 3/4 Crawfish, garlic butter, mild. All for $10! The crawfish tails were curved, that's a good sign! The garlic butter sauce was fantastic. The corn on the cob had that signature chewy taste and the potato was perfectly cooked. Spice levels - mild, medium, hot and super hot. 1-3 pm, Tuesday, February 21, 2023 This restaurant must be about to fold. When a place has such abject lack of service, and a rude manager, they usually fold shortly after. I went with a group for Mardi Gras lunch. There were 13 in our group, and a total of 13 other people in the restaurant. As we waited and waited and waited and waited, I actually counted the other people. A reservation for 15 had been made several weeks in advance, so they knew we were coming. * We had to wait an hour and a half to get lunch. * They would not let us talk during the long wait because they had "music" blaring so loudly that talking was impossible. It was really bad "music" -- not cajun - so there was no reason for it to be playing at all. The manager absolutely refused to turn it down adequately or turn the noise off. She was asked several times, and she completely refused. It was so loud that I still heard it blaring when i was in my car to leave. We could only talk to one person near us, not across the table, not to the group because of that rude manager. * I ordered a beer three times over a period of over a half-hour hour. The third time that I ordered it, I actually got it. * Some people got water within 15 minutes. Then the waitress vanished for about 45 minutes. People, who did not get water the first time, had to wait for 1 hr and 7 minutes for a glass of water. (I looked at my phone in disgust to get the actual time.) Why did she vanish. Was she taking a lunch break while we waited? Did she have to go in the kitchen to cook? Since we were a group of friends, not family, we needed separate checks. They wrote down all 13 orders on one check, instead of separate pieces of paper. Then she had to translate them to separate papers. It's not too hard to write orders on separate pieces of paper initially. But having to transpose them is ridiculous. Food was not too bad. They were too cheap with crackers for the gumbo. And I knew not to ask for more, or my gumbo would be cold by the time they arrived, if they did. Several people did not get everything they had ordered by the time we left after 2 hours. The manager, who refused to allow us a chance to talk while we waited and waited, seemed to do basically nothing. She did start to take our orders during the 45 minutes that the restaurant was without a waitress. Otherwise she just sat or stood around. Too lazy to step in and help when the waitress needed help They served desserts before lunch. They served soup after lunch. THAT MANAGER DEFINITELY NEEDS TO BE FIRED. Imagine: refusing to shut off bad noise in order to let guests talk together -- while they waited 1.5 hours to get food - in a nearly empty restaurant! I was really looking forward to lunch. The terrible service and the rude manager made the lunch unpleasant for everyone. I would never go back there if it was the only restaurant in the world. The wait might not have been nearly as bad if the rude manager had allowed us to talk while waiting. read more

My husband and I were in the area for his birthday and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed overall. When we sat down, we noticed that the lights were flickering on and off pretty consistently--almost like when something was turned on or off they flickered. Hard on the eyes. We started with the gator bites--which were REALLY good and the dipping sauce they are served with was great! The boil itself had really good flavor-we both got the house special sauce (he mild and I medium). Both of our crab leg clusters were ICE cold and somehow seemed very overcooked. Also, my shrimp were very overcooked and the texture was super rubbery and grainy textured. My husband's mussels were good, the sausage I got was good and the veggies were good however the main star of the dish (the crab) was super disappointing. We were in a hurry to return home, so we didn't have time to wait for another to be made-so we just dealt with it the way it was. We've definitely had better boil spots, but what saved this place for a 3 star was the sauce. Both of our meals were $33 plus tax--reasonably priced for a boil spot. read more

Very tasty meal. I ordered the Jambalaya. This was seasoned very well ample amount of good quality shrimp and sausage. Mositure could be added to the dish. I added some Frank's Hot Sauce, how, the flavor of the held it own and I throughly enjoy. I also had a small order of fried chicken wings, well done. The wings were cooked perfectly. Pros: The food was fantastic. Honestly the absolute best seafood broil I have had in the city. To start we tried the fried oysters with Cajun sauce on the side. The oysters were fried to perfection and actually larger than I expected. Next we moved on to the A1 broil with crab legs, peel and eat shrimp, potatoes, Sausage rice and a hard boiled egg. The meal came in a steamed bag and was more enough for the two of us. We also ordered a side of fries. Which we found out was totally unnecessary. First time customer and definitely happy we went. The wait on a Saturday night was minimal and we were seated in the back corner to a table covered in white butcher paper. The server came up within moments and introduced herself. She took our drink orders and came back and answered any questions we had.
