I have used Cregger for a few years..they installed my Navien tankless-boiler combo, which unfortunately has needed service quite a few times since install (2022). This past Sunday (18th) I had no heat (not the first time after my install), called Cregger and was told the earliest appointment was Wednesday. With the current temps, I would consider this an emergency but again they had no one to work on the Navien unit. Told me they would call me first thing Monday to see if they could come sooner. Never heard from them on Monday or Tuesday. It is now Wednesday and haven't heard anything. I was able to find a company to take care of it and won't be going back to Cregger again. read more

Sewer line was clogged. They were able to come out the next day. They used the power auger and found roots about 40' away from the house. Once it was cleared they ran a camera and showed me where all the roots are coming in. Friendly repairman who answered lots of questions I had (get your monies worth people, ask them questions!) It was steep at $423, but he gave me some top money saving advice. read more

We called Cregger's for a service call and they sent Colin out within an hour or less of our call. They were hyper communicative, letting us know when they were 30 minutes away; sent us a photo of Colin so we knew it was him when he arrived. They even made sure to follow instructions (I.e. knocking, since our doorbell is broken). Colin was professional and very knowledgeable; completing the service within less than an hour. He snaked a drain and advised possible next steps if there are future issues. Colin was very polite and answered all of our questions. We'd definitely use them again and highly recommend! He called me before starting the work to explain what needed to be done( it is a rental home) and to quote the price. He called after the work was done too. 'Twas Christmas Eve morning and all through the house, not a fluid was stirring, particularly any trying to get through our sewer. With a glimmer in his eye old St. Cregger appeared, with a snake and some gloves and abundant good cheer. Down the clean out he went with a WISH and a WHOOSH, till his snake hit a whatsit that just wouldn't push. Undeterred, old St. Cregger pulled back on his snake then loudly HO HO'd n'said, "This isn't great." He sat back for a minute to gather his strength, then dove down the clean out with the greatest of haste. We heard a big bang then a grumble or two, then back up he came with some goo and good news! Our blockage was gone though stubborn it was, 'twas no match for St. Cregger, his snake or his cause... Once again old St. Cregger this day did he save and we happy paid him with a credit card wave. I had a new furnace and AC installed last week. I was very impressed with the whole team, but Nick Bond in particular. They were professional, personable, and did a magnificent job of routing (and re-routing) my HVAC ducts. (I live in an old house, and it was an "octopus" of ducts going everywhere; it looked like a mistake!) Cregger came back a second day, and spent well over 12 hours on the install to do everything neatly and to code. They also re-located my AC to the side of my house and out of my garden. Not very impressed at all.. Called them with a plumbing problem, they couldn't get someone to come out until the next day. Okay, fine not a big deal. I take the next day off work because they gave me a window of 12-5. Guy shows up the next day, show him the issue. He quotes me on that and then starts talking about another "issue" with another pipe, told him I wasn't worried about it at all being that it wasn't giving me an issue. Kept trying to push an issue with the other thing despite being told 3 times I'm not interested in doing the other thing. So he finally quotes me at over $500 to replace a 5 inch section of copper pipe that I initially needed replaced.. I almost would have done it, except that he said he couldn't replace the pipe today but instead was sending someone else TOMORROW. Good thing though, because it gave me an opportunity to find someone better who did the work that I needed done initially for $225! When I asked the new plumber about the issue that the other one was trying to push, he said no need to worry about it unless it breaks because if it were to have broke, it would have already have done so because the pipes are under a tremendous amount of pressure. When he asked who quoted me at over 500 for the job, he said he wasn't surprised as he's often the 2nd call people make after Cregger comes out. read more

Technician arrived on time, coordinating with my property manager, provided reasonable quote, and offered to do the job on the spot. Requested plumbing quote for kitchen remodel. Again total professionals on all sides. I excepted their bid, technician completed the job on time on schedule. Creeger's investment in technology is on point. Their estimate and billing system makes life easier. The estimate was easy to read, and I understood what I was paying for. Their office staff is very professional and organized, appearing to use a centralized record system, so everyone knows the status of a job. This is huge, nothing more frustrating than calling a company and the person that knows about XYZ is not reachable. Cregger has figured this out. The real test of course is when something goes wrong. Our interactions with their plumbers has always gone very well. We have roots in our system and they need to come out about once a year to clear the line. My son had a blocked main drain at his house. They came in and snaked it out, $400. Water drained fine. 2 weeks later the drain started to slow down, and another week later it started to back up. I called the company.... No warranty whatsoever on that type of work, and they tried to upsell me on their $1000 water jet solution. Now I do t expect a year warranty on a blocked drain, but less than a month? Find someone else to do the work you need. And ask about warranty. BTW I found a local one man shop that snake it out again ad charged $225. Along with a 6 month free callback if necessary... read more

I used Cregger plumbing twice. One was for my daughters house. She has an older furnace/air conditioner combination unit. We had trouble finding people to service it because it is a commercial unit, but it is at a house. Commercial people didn't want to touch it since it was residential, and residential people weren't capable. Had one other big name contractor come, and they said it couldn't be fixed and would be $12k to replace the unit. They tried to stronghold my daughter with trying to finance it. Cregger diagnosed it and replace a circuit board. Has been working perfectly for over 6 months so far. Also, used them to do a boiler inspection certification for my son's house. They did it fast, and City of Southfield approved. I highly recommend Creggar -- they are a well known brand but aren't trying to take advantage of people. Thank you. read more

I called Cregger Plumbing recently to replace my 60+ year old toilet. The response was immediate and a plumber, "Kody," arrived promptly. Kody was efficient, pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. After replacing my toilet, he also repaired a "slow draining" sink. Both sink and toilet are fully functional. Kody took the time to explain everything and, cleaned up before leaving my home. The office staff (Liz) was also pleasant & knowledgeable. I highly recommend this company & have plans to hire them again for additional plumbing services. I don't usually write reviews but, I was so impressed that I felt someone else could benefit from my experience. Also...the price for replacement/repair was, in my opinion, very reasonable.
