On 3-24-26 I had water in the basement that had washed out my water heater pilot light. they responded the same night. The tech that was sent stated my sump pump was still running and knew what the problem was, he went to my drain pipe that previously led underground to the ditch and cut it off with a Saws-all, no water came out. He then replaced my sump pump with a different pump, this set off an electricity outage. He went back and forth several times with popping breakers and plugging into different outlets in the basement. I told him I had never had a problem with electricity in the basement before. He then asked for an electrical extension cord, he ran the electrical cord from the pump up the stairs and plugged it into my utility room outlet, when I asked if this is the way it was going to be left, he stated I would have to now consult an electrician, when I asked about the drain pipe that was running out of the front of my house he said I would have to rebury it. The next morning I went down to the basement to light the water heater pilot light, the sump pump that was put in had quit working and approximately 4-5 inches of water remained. I called the number listed that I had called the previous night and asked to speak with a supervisor, the supervisor's name was Trevor. I explained that the tech said my sump pump was still working when he arrived, Trevor stated the tech should not have said that out loud, that he was probably thinking about what the problem might be and said it out loud and that sometimes the tech's say that so homeowners won't follow them around while they are trying to work. Trevor also said that the electrical problem didn't have anything to do with the sump pump that was installed. He said they could have an electrician come out and check into the problem. I said I didn't think I should be charged a service fee because I didn't have an electrical problem before their company showed up last night. Trevor said he could wave the after hours fee and quote fee. I said I had to work at least until 4:45, he said he would schedule my appointment for 5-7pm on Wed 3-25. While at work I am unable to answer my phone. I was at home at 5pm, I waited until 7:30pm, no one showed up for the appt. I listened to my voicemails, a person named Seth left a message that he was coming by early and that if that wasn't going to work to give him a call, he did not leave his phone number. I proceeded to call the number for the business I had called the night before, repeatedly, no answer, one time it said the voicemail is full, through the string of phone numbers I called one that answered under Trevor, but the business name was different, I left a message on the voicemail stating the tech did not show at the scheduled appt time, that their sump pump had stopped and that the water was still in the basement. The price for Rocket Service Pros was outrageous, but because I was in a very vulnerable position I wrote a check, for a very substantial amount of money. The second company charged 2/3 less than Rocket Service Pros, replaced the sump pump, plugged it in using the basement outlet with absolutely no electrical problems, and returned to light my pilot light. I did not need a new water heater (Rocket Service Pros suggested a new one, also at an outrageous price) I would not only not recommend Rocket Service Pros, I would caution future potential customers to do their research. read more
