I highly recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing and Kevin. I had a basement flood yesterday with about 3 inches of water throughout and didn't notice it until 3:30. Kevin from A1 was over within an hour and half. Kevin and the assistant he brought with him (Arch?) were both great. The snaked my drains and got the water down. Kevin offered to put a camera down for a little extra money but did not push me on it. But I knew I needed it and he showed me with his camera the other issues going on through my drain. He explained things very professionally and did a great job. Arch worked very hard as well. Mind you, this was on a Friday late afternoon and A1 and Kevin got me taken care of very quickly and did a great job. I am very nervous when hiring a plumber because I have been screwed over before. I was not this time. I HIGHLY recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing. I asked a friend of mine who is a retired master plumber about the service I got and the price I paid and he said I got great work for a great price. Thank you Kevin and Arch. - Jim Belanger read more

I highly recommend A1 plumbing and Kevin. Came to fix my toilet leak and the service was excellent. Price was good and showed up when he said he was going to. Will use A1 plumbing moving forward! read more

The service was excellent. We had a backed up storm drain and it started backing up into our basement. We chose A1 Bargain Plumbing because of the Yelp reviews and after speaking with the owner: Kevin. We called Monday evening, someone called me back and we scheduled an appointment. Their plumber Logan was excellent too. Unclogged the pipe thoroughly and quickly, explained exactly what happened, and answered our questions. Also, no funny business with the price. The same price they told me the day earlier was the same price we paid. We highly recommend A1! read more

Called them last night at 9:30pm and rep answering the phone was very professional and friendly. Ryan called today to say he is on his way and arrived in same window of time that they had promised yesterday. Our 3 years old flushed her winter glove (a single one) with a big smile on her face. While Ryan was not able to snake it out, he double checked and water in toilet flushes fine. Will keep them on my list to call if I need a plumber again. Happy with their professional service and fair pricing. read more

Fast and they were available in under 24 hours to complete the project for a reasonable price. I would recommend and will definitely reach out to them 1st for my next project or plumbing ER! Ryan was efficient and respectful and very polite. read more

A serviceman came on time and did the job I needed. He was friendly. I don't know what else I can say!

Plumber spent 2 hours clearing our drains due to a sludge plug. Very professional and persistent. Thanks A1!

I will definitely call this company again when I have plumbing issues. They efficiently fixed the problem I called them for (sewer issue) and didn't try to upsell me additional services which other companies I've used in the past often do. read more

Requested them to come out to assist with a clogged sink and they were able to come out next day. Cleared it within an hour and reasonably rated for the service requested. Ryan was very professional and helpful with his work and possible future work. Would highly recommend in the future. read more

We had an issue with water in the basement. Two guys came out to snake it - they left a muddy, sludgy mess and we paid $400. They did tell us we needed a camera to see the issue which we did not agree to. Ten minutes later water was not draining and water was coming back up. We called and they came back. They put a camera down and said we had an obstruction and a cracked pipe. They did not resnake. They estimated a $15,000 repair. We spent the evening worried and wondering what to do. Today we called in another company. They showed us the obstruction and how easy it was to clear. They cleared it and explained that the pipe was fine and that in the future we may need to fix the trap for $2,500. We called A1 back today and the man we spoke to was very annoyed and defensive. He said, "you'll pay the price one way or another. I'm done talking to you." Would not recommend. read more

I just want to reiterate how amazing these plumbers are. I have had to use them four times and each time they had the best price, and came out within HOURS. And this is in a location in Detroit where I have had other plumbers say they will come out in a few day and then they don't even show up. They were very fair, explained clearly what the issue was, and presented the options. read more

Moved to Dearborn area just over six months ago and knew before buying the home that the basement had some sort of water episode that soaked into the carpetted area of the finished side of the basement. I asked the homeowner to have the drain snaked to be sure it was only roots. (there are several massive Oak trees on the lot!) Snaked the front drain to the road and they didn't really tell me what went on there - just that the pipes were all cleaned and fine - no broken pipes. BUT they did NOT snake the drain in the back of the house, where i later found out is WHERE THE WATER BACKS UP. I wasn't living in the house so it wasn't my call to the plumber - but damn it if a plumber shouldn't be snaking all the drains that could be the issue when they come out to a house!! After the first strong storm in spring, my new home's basement flooded because of the clogged drain - the main drain - the un-snaked drain. Go figure! - the pipes had collapsed. Over $20,000 worth of damage to the property. Thankfully, insurance covered it all, but when the carpet was removed, the insurance men showed me evidence of prior water damage stemming from the un-snaked drain. All I can take away from this experience is that this plumber purposefully snaked only the second drain, and not the main, because they knew what was going on. Maybe the seller was the only pussy in this scenario? Or maybe they were buddies with the seller? I do know they absolutely knew they were snaking a secondary drain, and not the main drain. They also knew that I was requesting the house drains be snaked since I was concerned about the water stain on the carpet... something the seller was saying had not been wet in the 3 years he lived there. This costed me 4 months of intense remodelling and very uncomfortable living arrangements! Disclaimer: I had written this review in the spring of 2019, following my move-in in October 2018. I just found it in my "draft" reviews, I had never posted it. So I'm posting it now. read more

2023: I was trying to write a new review because I had a recent second experience with this A1 Bargain Plumbing. They came out to install a new hot water tank. I am very happy with the service. They arrived the stated appointment time, was very thorough and clear about the process from cost of new heater to parts and labor. There were nothing hidden or surprise added cost. Kevin and Logan were very professional and courteous to keep things clean. I felt very confident and secure with the job they did . I am happy and this is my go-to plumbing company. 2020: I had A1 Bargain Plumbing come out to fix a slow sink drain. This was a blind hire of this company. I'm glad that I picked them out of the many choices in my area. Their yelp and Google reviews helped with my choice. The two men who came out was very prompt, professional and thoughtful. They kindly moved my plants out the way while going in and out with their equipment. They cleaned up after themselves after fixing my slow drain by wiping down the sink and floors. The price was great and honest. I highly recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing and I will be using them again should I have any other plumbing issues. Prompt services, professional, great price and saved the day. I'm happy and grateful for their service. read more

I can't recommend A1 Bargain Plumbing enough. I called several people/companies and got a lot of information that turned out to be untrue. I feel the LORD led me to search online and I came to A1. The customer service as well as Kevin was extremely courteous and concerned about my problem. Kevin came out he explained, showed me on the camera, recommended and fixed my 3 month issue. Kevin treated me just like family. He even found an additional problem and fixed that. I feel my experience was treated fairly. I will forever recommend A1 to anyone in need of true, honest and fair services. Thank you again. read more

While installing new flooring in my house, a leak in the supply line valve to the toilet was discovered. After a quick Yelp search I called A1. Have been using A-1 for household plumbing repairs for years. They do great work and at an honest price.

Best company I had help for a same day call. Will save this company's # if I need them for anything with my main house or any of my rentals.

These guys are GREAT. I had to hire them after another company failed to do the job (Waterwork Plumbing, Ferndale--awful dishonest company!!). I live out of town and needed someone to fix a leak in my father's condo. My father is a senior and they were sensitive to his needs. They were able to come the next day and did everything as promised..(called on the way, wore masks, came with all parts). They worked on it a few hours until it was completely resolved and charged a VERY fair price. Highly recommended. read more

I had to call a plumber today due to a backed up drain in my laundry room. What a mess! After looking at different plumbers on yelp, I decided to call A-1 Bargain Plumbing. I called, spoke with Kevin. I told him my problem, he was out within the hour! What a nice guy! Explained everything to me, what the causes could be, etc. Afterwards he showed me videos of what he did, the cause of my problem. He was here about half hour, everything fixed. Very reasonable in his prices. I'll never use anyone else, he's my guy for plumbing now! Janell McGrath read more

I am giving a "One" Star Rating and the possibility of filing a law suit for humiliating the customer by video tapping the customer by Mr. Branden. from A1 Bargain Plumbing, and for the following reasons: Service Date: April 4, 2023 Contractor: A1 Bargain Plumbing Personal: 1. Kevin (Business Owner) 2. Branden (Helper) I do not know if Branden is related to Kevin. According to Branden, he claims he is Kevin's' son. On April 4,2023, A1 Bargain Plumbing performed a survive at my house. 1. Customer felt humiliated by Mr. Branden (from A1 Bargain Plumbing.), by video tapping me on his cell phone while I was explaining their work, payment, and next stets need to be taken. I am attempting to file a civil law suit against "A1 Bargain Plumbing ". Kevin was a gentleman and very professional who understood customer needs 2. Brendon on the other hand, he acted in in completely in "Unprofessional" way, and he seems just want to make money. In a matter of one-hour, Branden new repair cost increase by 70% when compared to a previously submitted repair cost by Kevin. Scope-of-work-remained the same a did not change. While performing the service, I noticed the following: 1. Equipment they were using is (i.e., Snake and cameras) are very absolute equipment compared what is available on the market today. i.e., High-resolution pictures, measurement and location of troubled some objects, clear views of some areas, etc.......) 2. You can barely see what the camera sees while in the underground pipe. read more

My mom was having drain issues in her basement. After a few other outfits came out and pulled the scare tactic BS and gave high quotes and vague answers, I felt I needed another opinion. I stumbled upon A1 Bargain Plumbing online, Kevin came out, verified the problem, explained everything, and gave us a realistic answer and quote to do the work. I just liked his honest way and easy going additude. It was a moderate job that included busting up a basement floor, they wrapped it up in one day and even mopped and cleaned up when done. Definitely calling A1 again next time I have a plumbing issue I can't resolve. read more

We had a small sewage backup in our basement shower. We called during New Years weekend and they had guys out right on time the next day they were open. They scoped the pipe and found a blockage, and were able to clear it with the scope. They were honest, showed us what they were seeing, explained it all very clearly, and took care of the issue quickly & effectively. They were more affordable than we expected. As new homeowners, we were extremely grateful! Will definitely be calling them again if needed. read more

I really appreciate and highly recommend A-1 Plumbing. On a Sunday, a faucet to my shower broke and we had to turn off the hot water valve to get it to stop. I immediately contacted my regular plumber (NOT A-1), who said he would come out the next day.. Monday came and went. I contacted them again Tuesday and was told someone would be out to fix it Wednesday.. No one called or showed up. And then on Thursday, another no-call no-show. Finally Friday morning I gave up and after lots of research decided to contact A-1. They happened to have one of their crews available and they were at my house within about an hour. Within about an hour and a half, everything was fixed and better than ever. The servicemen (Ryan and Jason) were great, very friendly and gave very clear explanations as to what they needed to do and why, a couple different options we had, and also gave me some advice on my older plumbing and explained what will need to be done to get it updated. I will definitely be calling them from now on for any plumbing issues we have. Thank you guys so much!! read more

So i had a plumber come out for a nasty sewage backup throughput my house. The 1st plumber came out and snaked unsuccessfully . The plumber did not fix the sewage problem, charged me $250 and stated i needed to dig up the front yard for $3000 just to see what the problem was. The next day Kevin at A-1 called me to check on my yelp request to make sure i had been serviced. He explained to me the errors the plumber made and i was able to get them to come back out and fix the issue for no additional cost. Had it not been for Kevin assessing the issue by phone and texting pics who knows how much time and money we would have loss. We did not use A-1 for this job but we will from now on. Kevin is very knowledgeable, honest and goes above and beyond to help those in need... Thx so much A1. read more

Disclaimer: This company did not perform work for me, this review only speaks to the initial conversation I had with one of the gentlemen. I was told my sewer line needed to be replaced, which is an important and expensive job, so I wanted to get estimates from various companies. Two other companies provide free estimates and understood when I told them quite frankly that I am getting other estimates. This company does not provide free estimates, which is fine. I told him I could tell him what I need done (based on the assessment provided free from the other companies) and get a quote from him so I can compare. In response to that idea, he had the nerve to lecture me about how wrong it is to get an estimate and not hire the other company... First, we live in a free market system where competition is simply a reality. I know this first hand because my husband does sales for a residential construction company. Everyday he spends hours providing free estimates to customers who don't make a purchase. It is a reality that we live with, BUT because his products are superior and his prices are fair, he does well enough to make up for the lost time. He knows that it is your job as a service provider to sell yourself and your work. This guy obviously isn't very confident that he can make the sale when held up against others! Either that or he would prefer a stupid customer who will take the first quote provided. Sorry, that's not going to be me. Second, spare me from your boring moral soap box. While you, the passionate martyr, are defending your industry from the unfairness of getting multiple quotes, your competition is getting business, continuing to grow, and has enough revenue to hire a darn receptionist so he's not missing calls because of poor cell service. What a joke! read more

A1 Bargain Plumbing - Plumbing Near Me - Dearborn Heights, Michigan

These guys are nothing short of sensational! I had a water back up in my basement and a unique plumbing situation to go along with it (some of the other plumbers I called in Dearborn weren't willing to roll their sleeves up and get their hands dirty). The team came in, assessed the situation and started work right away. They were super helpful and professional, just absolutely amazing. They told me what they were going to do and when they were going to do it, along with keeping me informed every step of the way. I am so grateful for them, they absolutely saved me. Kevin was very helpful and honest. I called for a sewer line repair quote, they came out quickly and thoroughly checked out the situation. I called them back for a scope and locate service, he was able to help me determine which route to go. In my case, he suggested that my best option would be to go with a trenchless sewer repair, which is something they don't offer. that goes to show you that they are honest and reputable, a few other companies had given me quotes for this job and wouldn't have cared if they did the right job for this circumstance. Kevin was even nice enough to steer me in the right direction. I plan on calling them when i need a plumber in the future!! read more

We had a clogged sewer line due to tree roots, with flooding in the basement. We got several estimates and he came in much much lower in price than any other plumber that I called, he worked his hardest to get us a view using the camera, and he fixed our problem entirely.
