The Creekwood manager was very flexible to accommodate our last minute party size changes. The service was excellent, attentive, and very patient while we waited for all of our party to arrive. We never felt rushed. We were celebrating our friend's 80th birthday and selected Creekwood due to the positive reviews on Yelp and OpenTable. I was looking for a place that was more personable, where we would be able to hear each other talking. Creekwood has a nice and varied menu. We decided to eat family style so that we could try a variety of dishes. We ordered PEI mussels, Burrata, Little Gems Salad, and Brussel Sprouts small dishes to start. The mussels were tender and flavorful. The Burrata was delicious and fresh. The brussel sprouts were perfectly prepared and was a generous portion. We ordered the Gnocchi large plate and the Mushroom pizza. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy and the basil pesto was devine. The mushroom pizza didn't disappoint either. The pizza was good as well. We ordered the prosciutto di san Daniele pizza which came with mozzarella, Parmesan, lots of arugula and lemon zest. I think the sauce base was olive oil maybe? Which made the pizza feel light, not to heavy as we were eating it. Little gem salad was probably my favorite dish of the 3 we ordered. Was perfectly coated with the crème fraught vin dressing. Oh my! Creekwood is an Italian restaurant that does it all right from my experience in Italy! Service was welcoming, prompt and friendly . We ordered the Caesar salad with anchovies, mushroom pappardelle and fresh oysters with mignonette. Everything was expertly prepared and served Italian style. Pasta was definitely house made and delicious. Caesar was the best I've had in long time as most restaurants do not serve with anchovies which I love in my Caesar salad, we had the customary bread and butter that was delectable and the wine I believe Verdacchio was excellent. Creekwood is the hot and new sexy Italian spot smack dab between Bushrod/North Oak and SW Berk. Came by for a walk-in dinner with a good friend and we were lucky to score a table outdoors. Sounds like it's a spot where most people have reservations. We were flanked by tables of larger (3+) parties, and most people had delicious appetizers and gorgeous pizza's on their tables which made our mouths water instantly. They have a full drink menu on one side and food on the other--PAPER MENUS TOO! No QR, what a TBT pre-COVID times. We easily chose their mushroom pizza (Enoki) and their red-sauce fettucine with broccolini. Great choices for non-meat eats too, which was what we had! The flavors worked perfectly, the truffle mushroom was A VIBE so delicious and savory. The pizza crust is on the thinner side, almost like Naples style. I wish it came out hotter, and the texture was on the dry-er side. Their fettucine noodle was perfectly al dente and I love the uniqueness of a red sauce base. The ingredients are very fresh and we loved that service was so friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Shoutout to the sweet gentlemen who kept refilling our waters. Of note, they're dog-friendly on their outdoor patio WITH warm overhead heaters! Outdoor seating is close to the street, but not too much so where you feel like a safety hazard. Parking is hit or miss, as you'll probably have to get residential parking, but it gets tough during dinnertime since you're vying for spots with the locals. Ordered the pesto gnocchi and it looked amazing and was prepped very well. But I think the gnocchi pieces were too big and there wasn't nearly enough pesto sauce for me; not a single piece was fully covered in the pesto sauce. in fact not even half was covered in sauce. We came here with some of our dearest friends for holiday cheer!!! We had an excellent time. We started off with the burrata and mushroom pizza. very nice portion of both to share amongst us. Flavors were great execution was lovely. We then moved on to the winter salad, everything was fresh, and it was not overdressed, which was also appreciated! We shared the mushroom pappardelle and cameroni! The mushroom pasta was cooked very well, the mushroom flavor was outstanding, and they worked with the mushroom well and that it did not make the pasta watery as it can be! The cameroni was the star of the evening. Delicious flavors very hardy!!! perfect Ragu!!! Bravo!!! we were all very stuffed, but we could not pass up the gelato and a piece of the chocolate cake, which was all very delicious!!! The only complaint I have, which is a typical complaint of most restaurants I go to is that they have very poor tea. It always amazes me how much money restaurants will designate for coffee, but then they give one step above Lipton for their tea!!! I advise the restaurant look at Harney & Sons. They are an excellent price and wonderful quality. Our service was great. It is a pretty small restaurant and the server managed everything beautifully and the manager pitched in. The restaurant inside is very warm and inviting and clearly it is a neighbor restaurant with locals that come in every week. Bravo!!!!! It also came with what I believe is a garlic aioli which paired perfectly. Hands down the best fries I've ever had! Ribeye 1/5: the meat was so fatty, and had this awful sauce poured all over it. When the dish came out, it was visually unappealing and unfortunately it tasted as bad as it looked. There was no crust on the steak, it tasted like it was boiled. The best thing about this dish was the crispy fingerling potatoes as the side. Flourless chocolate cake 3/5: this was just okay. Super chocolately and rich. It tasted like an average brownie. The sodas here are really crisp sorta like McDonald's and the fries are great. However everything else fell short. Also while I was here, someone( I believe the manager) accidentally knocked something over and had a poor attitude about it to his employees. This was far and away the best Gnocchi I've ever had in my life.. The pesto and seared pillowy potato dumplings were mind blowingly delicious.. The 14oz Wagyu Ribeye at $68 is frankly a bargain in the bay area and something that can easily be shared by two people. The service at Creekwood was exemplary. Hubby ordered halibut crudo to start, and I ordered the brussels sprouts. The crudo was simple and good. The brussels sprouts are "pistachio fried peppercorn praline" preparation. Honestly, we didn't taste any of those flavors, but that said, they were delicious and I'd order them again. For the main I ordered the halibut main dish and it was exactly as you'd expect and good. Hubby got the pappardelle and liked it very much. What we really enjoyed was the warm environment, the friendly service, and the multiple options of items we could order...especially me, being pescatarian. I went for the first time and had dinner here yesterday. It had been on my list and I'm glad I finally tried it. I made a reservation at 730 on open table and I'm glad I did. The reservation was easy to get on the same day but they were also very busy. The host sat us right away, the server was kind and the food came fairly quickly. We ordered the meatballs to start and they were good, just a little salty. Then I ordered the short rib and my boyfriend ordered the ribeye. Both were perfectly coooked and incredibly tasty.
