Love this place. For acrylics and nail art go to Nancy or Lynn. Let me preface by saying that I was in San Jose for years and for a long time there was only a couple places you could get great nail art done (I'm talking real art, not airbrush). Recently, the nail art craze has grown and there are quite a bit more choices, however there is usually only one person in a salon that's really good at it. In any case, I moved to Morgan Hill 2 years ago and found that great nail art is not really in demand so there were no salons providing it. I DID find this place which gave GREAT fills AND they were willing to put gel OVER my polish (the only way to keep polish perfect and glassy for many weeks...if it's not done right it will bubble and that's probably why lots of salons won't do it).AND they are really fast (fill, polish, gel, drying in 1 hour out the door)! I brought them some photos of nail designs I wanted and they were completely open to doing them and did a great job! I recently brought my daughter in to make an appointment for her 13th birthday and showed a specific picture with 3d art and though they don't carry 3d supplies on a regular basis, they purchased a small selection for her appointment and they turned out awesome. I'm really hoping the word will spread in this sleepy town and the demand for nail art and 3d nail art will rise so they can provide ore of it because it's a nice, relaxing salon with very efficient service. I was told that 3 of the techs there actually came from the salon in Campbell that made nail designs a thing in San Jose. PROS: Fast, friendly and high quality. Open to trying new art designs. I think the prices are good but then again I don't usually pay too much attention to that...more focused on getting what I want and happy to pay for it. Lots of colored and glitter acrylic powders. CONS: Not currently carrying lots of 3d supplies but if you plan in advance, they may purchase for you. TIPS: Come prepared with a design and allow the tech a few minutes to figure out if and how she can do it, possibly have a back up in case she's not prepared for the first one. They have lots of regulars who make appointments so if you like that late afternoon or Saturday time, make an appointment because they may not be able to take a walk in. They are not the kind of salon that generically says "pick a color, 10 minutes". If you get a tech that you feel isn't understanding your needs due to a language barrier, ask if someone can translate. TIP YOUR NAIL TECH WELL!! THEY WORK 6 LONG DAYS A WEEK AND APPRECIATE IT. The workers were very kind and the workplace had a very positive atmosphere throughout my time there. The store is in a safe area and the interior of the store was very clean and neat. Never coming back to this place!!! I got both a manicure and pedicure. The manicure was a good experience. The lady who took care of the manicure was very nice. However, for my pedicure two ladies took care of it and it was awful. The lady who started my pedicure took a hangnail off. She proceeded to clean all my toes. When it came time to paint my toenails there was a switch in staff. Another lady took over as she had just arrived into the salon. I didn't notice her pulling more when I hand the hangnail up until I felt pain. I looked over and made a noise because it hurt bad. The lady proceeded to tell me a hangnail. Which I was aware since I tend to get them frequently. I think it even began to bleed because I noticed her clean it right away after pulling. I didn't think anything of it because I get hangnails taken off regularly. Up until today after work!! When I took my sock off I saw some blood and pus. Keep in mind I had no issues at work. But now that I've been resting at home it's been causing me pain. Luckily, I got some antibiotics prescribed to take care of it. But had I not noticed then it could have continued to get worse without treatment. After many times of sitting on other peoples nails, in acrylic dust and getting the "10 more minutes" speech when if made an appointment, I've moved on. They overbook and that makes for a less than fun experience. Tools are not visibly autoclaved and the dust everywhere is icky! read more

There are literally nail salons every quarter mile here in Morgan Hill, and when I started living here I kind of just hoped to walk in to the right salon for me on my first try, so one morning while getting donuts I saw the sign for the pedi special at Creative Nails, and walked right in. I am glad I did, it is a very clean establishment, and very very very reasonably priced for the treatment you get with the pedicures. Just the basic package offers a hot stone massage, and mud mask, and they do a great french polish, I have never been less than happy with the end result. I will normally also get a mani and I love that they offer a wide array of colors of polish of OPI and Essie colors. I come here at least every other week, so yes, I highly recommend for your basic mani and pedi. read more

I also always make an appointment and still have to wait about 45 minutes later than my scheduled appointment, i noticed they do not write any names and times down when people call for appointments. The nail salon itself looks as though it's been through the ringer and needs a make over. Lately I have been making an appointment , and yet when I get there , I still have to wait another 20-30 minutes to be seated. What's the point of making an appointment? Not only after that amount of time I am finally seated , they go on to another person and make you wait another 10-15 minutes before they even start your manicure or pedicure. The lady that did my nails was so fast on doing my full set of acrylics. I showed her a light, pastel yellow and she gave me a bright, neon yellow. Also, she didn't ask me what shape i wanted, she just went on and did it. I'm guessing she tried doing coffin shaped but they don't even look coffin! They look oval and my pinky looks squared. Lastly, she left a huge bump of acrylic on my nail and she glued my index nail crooked. It was such a disaster! I DO NOT recommend this place. Classy Nails in Morgan Hill does a way better job. I am on a quest to find a salon that has great customer service, easy menu of services to understand with competent workers. Still looking. I had gone to Tip nToe for years and finally got fed up with the incompetent workers who were doing my basic manicure and pedicures. They would accidentally cut me, their massages were painful and the owner has an attitude. She only is nice to people with fake nails not us boring folk who just are coming in for the manicure/pedicures. Here at Creative Nails2 I thought I would try another salon. The workers are nice but the menus of service is confusing. The sign in the door says pedicure for $20. I go in and the card I am handed the Pedicures start at $25. What it does not mention is that you have choose A or B or C. I only know this because I asked the customer next to me. Why is this not more clear on their menu? As for the manicures no price is mentioned. I chose the basic pedicure with hot oil massage for $25. However they spray a room temperature oil on my legs and rubbed it with hot rocks. Where is the hot oil? So I go and pay and the bill is $47. How? I did not even get my nails painted! It does not add up. Like Tip n Toe neither are worth going to. read more

My FAVORITE place to get my manicure and pedicure. They are always consistent and prices are great too. I always try and ask for Mai because she is amazing! She gives the best massages and really makes sure she does a great job every time. I came in with a broken big toe nail and was so sad bc it looked so ugly but they fixed it no problem and free of charge! I have such mixed feeling about this place. I have been traumatized that I am no longer able to visit Creative Nails. I always received top quality service from the girls at this shop. I felt like I had found Nail Salon Heaven whenever I visited. I brought friends and family here. Lynn, Nancy, Kim and Tina always did a wonderful job. No cutting or bleeding or filing accidents. I did not experience any sore toes afterwards. If my shellac manicure had chipped I came in and they would fix it. Kim gave the greatest arm massages with my manicures. After a while they would welcome me by my name, which I thought was endearing. I loved visiting this salon. Until one frightful afternoon when I went in on a busy day. My usual manicurist (Kim) was busy and Mimi started my nails. She didn't listen (or understand) what I had asked for by way of nail shape. When I corrected her and she attempted to fix it she ended up filing one hands nails down much shorter than the other. When I showed her, she told me that I came into the shop like that. I asked her to repeat that...? I came in to the shop like this? I was incredulous. I wanted to cry but laughed instead. She insinuated I was making this up and I couldn't allow that. I left without her finishing my nails. I was hoping someone would follow me out to try and rectify this, but no one did. I felt so sad because I thought I was such a good customer. I really did love this place but cannot go back for reasons of personal respect. I cannot give them a totally bad review since the work they do really is high quality for a good price. I walked in at 6:05 (they didn't close until 7), told them i wanted french tip acrylic nails and without hesitation the lady working closest to the door said they were too busy and didn't have time for me. She didn't even ask the other ladies. so upsetting! They were still open for another hour! Guess she was desperate to leave, but they lost a potential loyal customer. I called Tina's nails, which is right across the street, at 6:20 (they also closed at 7) and they were glad to take me in. If I could give -1 star for this salon I would. My mother in law has been going to this nail salon for years. She's always had a great time here and loving her nails, but today when my husband brought her, we've had the worst experience ever. Ever since my MIL has been coming here, she always has had two girls help her (pedi and mani at the same time done) because she can't sit for a long period of time and she ALWAYS HAD A PAD OR PILLOW THAT THEY PROVIDED FOR HER TO SIT ON to support her bottom. She's 85 years old. When she came in this morning, my husband dropped MIL off. My husband asked for a pillow to have my MIL sit on. The owner, telling my husband that MIL can't sit on it, and that the pillow was only for back support, but my husband insisted to have the pillow for my mother in law and she got it to sit on. MIL called she's done and ready to be picked up. I came with my husband because i have this hunch that something is not right. So I came in the salon, greeted my MIL and complimented her how beautiful her nails. MIL had gel on her nails and regular on her toes. I asked for a slip on/sandals for her toes since I don't want her newly painted nails to be ruined. One of the girls there, I think her name is LYNN said to me, "No, you can't have sandals, she wears her shoes. You put your MIL shoes yourself" I was like, seriously? We paid this much money for a pedi to be ruined. When you go to TINA NAILS, they assist you in and out of your chair. They even assist you to put your shoes, flip flops, whatever you are wearing back on, but at CREATIVE NAILS, you are on your own! As I decipher this little situation here, I can understand that they don't want my MIL to slip and fall, and that's liability to them. I assure LYNN that that's what I am there for to assist my mother in law if they are not willing to help. While this was going on, another lady from the shop was there taking the pillow my mother in law was sitting on and putting it in a garbage bag like it's been soiled or something. I was appalled. The owner who I handed my debit card said that THEY HAVE TO CHARGE ME TEN DOLLARS EXTRA FOR THE PILLOW, AND NEXT TIME WE COME TO BRING THE PILLOW FOR my mother in law to sit on! They've always provided a pillow in the past. Besides, if they were concerned that the pillow will be soiled, it has a slip cover, and easily wash it since they have a washing machine on site. I was very disgusted hearing this! After all those years my mother in law has been coming to this shop, they change midstream how they treated her. It doesn't mean my mother in law is an ELDERLY, she's incontinent, stinky, or soiled her pants. It was very embarrassing how they treated her. Like she carries some disease or something. Assuming that my MIL would ruined the slip cover on their pad/pillow is a form of age discrimination. The pillow was needed for support, which they have been providing her in the past. My mother in law felt so embarrassed. She said how awful to have people think that she's incontinent, and is not in control of her bodily functions. Instead of being pampered today, she came home with her self-esteem damaged. This place doesn't deserve any recognition at all. There's no respect and dignity. read more

I've passed this place up so many times thinking it was not going to do a good job... since I was a regular at Lavande Nail in Santana Row. Place was ok. Felt like the lady rushed through my manicure because it was really busy. Then when I asked fora pedicure she seemed annoyed. Once I was seated they place the nail dryer that was plugged into the wall while my feet where in the water on my lap. I think this is the only nail salon that has tried to talk me out of extra work. No conversation and I think 3 different people did my pedicure. I think they are better at acrylic than plain old pedicures and manicures. read more

My first time, I dropped in to schedule eyelash extensions. Mimi took me in right then. She was meticulous and my lashes look great. In fact, a girl at a makeup studio commented how nice they look. At first this place seemed a little out of the ordinary for my sister and I being that we always end up at the fancy salons, but this place is great. We drive 35 min just to get our nails done here and it's so so worth it. My nails were so ugly and short and she worked her magic to make them look brand new! I was so surprised. My manicurist gave me three coats of gel which usually at other places they won't do because it's too "thick", she shaped them perfectly and also the price here was cheaper than anywhere else I've gone to! My sister did have to wait as her lady switched to someone else but the one who ended up doing her nails did an amazing job. They were also very kind when we paid and not hounding us over leaving tips or our payment method which can get annoying at other places. We'll keep coming back. read more

I have been meaning to express my happiness with this place and after my yet again great service on Tuesday it was time. Hands down best nail salon I have EVER been to. Here's why, it's clean, everyone is friendly, and no matter who you see, they do a great job. I have been coming here for over 3 years and I now only book with Tammy. She seriously works wonders, and she is the reason I have cute flintstone feet, haha. I get a gel and pedi about every month. Not once have my nails felt weak, actually they are getting so long and healthy. Her work is always the same, quality and done with passion. I recently lost a part of my toe nail from a door jam and running, sorry for the tmi, but Tammy build me an acrylic nail, no questions, didn't make a big deal, nor did the nail ladies huddle around, as most do in any other place. I'm a caregiver and spend hours on my feet all day and night sometimes. Although, I don't exactly make big bank, so regulating pampering is off the list. Had a day off after a rough week, and decided to just walk next door,( I live next to Vineyard Center)! I asked for the prices ( $12 for basic mani, $20 for a pedi and $6 extra for pretty gem stones the nice woman put on my toe nails), then made an appointment....for that day...just two hours later. I got such wonderful service. One was working on my toes while the other worked on my hands. All while I sat in a relaxing massage chair. They both spent so long, making sure everything was just right, checking every so often to make sure I liked it so far. Just want to throw in, this all came with a 20 minute foot and leg massage, 5-10 minutes of hot rocks all over your feet and legs, the manicurist also massaged my hands and lower arms for about 10 minutes. She even opened my free water since I was handicapped at the moment. :-P Since I usually have moths fluttering out of my wallet, going somewhere and being treated like I'm someone important is just....rare. So, $38.00 is totally worth it for how I felt after leaving. read more
