We had a supply line burst causing a lot of water to flood from the bathroom to our carpet, so we worked with Ovi to get repairs done and replaced all of our old carpet with laminate flooring. The repair work eventually led to a discovery of a long term leak hidden in the bathroom walls, which Ovi and his team performed extensive repairs to get the bathroom operational again within a very short time frame. I was in need of redoing the shower in my bathroom. It had developed a leak in the valve behind the tile. The tile was original to the house. Kris began our kitchen remodel on August 31, 2022, which seemed to be the hottest day of the year. He and his crew were very responsive and reliable in both their work and time committed towards the project. Our all white kitchen went from drab to bright in two months, which allowed us to try local restaurants and new micro-wave and BBQ recipes for dining in the living room. I was responsible for buying the floor tile and countertop, as well as new lights and plumbing fixtures. New Building Codes required a separate electric panel for kitchen appliances and resulted in re-wiring through our attic to our garage. This was probably the most difficult part of the remodel and was achieved without exposed wiring or conduit. The kitchen cabinets were designed and fitted by another company, and installed in one day. Overall, the remodel was fairly painless, although I wish the cabinetry company had a better product, as it was basically RTA with no frills. Had the cabinets been of a better quality installation, this would have been a five-star review. David was super responsive and thorough, we ended up doing not only a bathroom remodel but a FULL house remodel including adding an ADU, kitchen cabinets, etc, down to the studs. David always provided references when asked and invited us to see a finished remodel he had done which we did. The remodel took about the amount of time estimated and it also stayed within a reasonable overage of the original estimate. We were referred to Kris through a friend who also used Creative Home Remodeling for their beautiful home in Palos Verdes. We received 3 bids for our project and we're impressed with David and Kris from the start. We had some initial delays due to city permits, but Kris was great at setting expectations as this is our first home and first remodel project. Once we were approved to start work, Kris and his team did everything they could to make up for lost time and hit our move-in timeline. We did a full remodel of our new home. If NO STAR was available I'd give that.. these people started out great but quickly descended to madness! Demolition, electrical & plumbing went pretty smoothly although we did fail our first electrical inspection. We removed a jacuzzi tub to install a shower. What was supposed to be a simple job lasting 2 possibly 3 weeks isn't finished, damage was done to connecting walls (not repaired) forcing us to stop the job before they could do more damage. David is condescending & makes promises he doesn't keep! Workers were using my toilet, when he promised to leave a Porta Potty (he never did).. The concrete workers were totally MESSY! This was my first major remodeling project. I had never worked with a contractor before, and I was worried about trusting my house and investing a considerable amount of money with somebody I had never met before. I interviewed some contractors, and I wasn't happy that they wanted to sell me what they had, rather than listening to me and helping me develop a design that could fulfill my expectations and accommodate my budget. I contacted Creative Home Remodeling and I liked them from the beginning because they listened to me, and showed professionalism and respect from the first day. I worked most of the time with their manager, Ido (Kris). Ido clearly has a lot of experience in the business, and he helped me develop ideas that ended up in the beautiful interior design that I have now. Ido and the CHR's team came up with a solution to modify the structure of my home, so I could turn the kitchen, dining room and living room into a large open space. At first I didn't think it would be possible - but they came up with the right solution and executed it efficiently and in the estimated time. I was also worried at the beginning about out of control costs - I had heard many horror stories from other people before. But CHR proved to be fair and worked with me when unexpected issues appeared. We negotiated a scope of work and a written estimate from the beginning, and I didn't pay a dollar over what was negotiated. There were budget overruns - but they came from issues that were not possible to see before starting the work. Ido was clear at the beginning that, because the house is old, he didn't know what he may uncover once he removed the walls and the underfloor, and there could be extra expenses. These extra expenses came from things like uncovering a very uneven subfloor, replacing a 70 year old iron sewer, adding structure to bring things up to code, and a few other minor things. But CHR was always willing to work with me on the pricing, and I found them to be pretty fair. I have to say - the sticker price seemed steep at the beginning, and adding the overruns was a strain on my budget. But in the end, you get what you pay for. CHR delivered what they promised they would deliver. Ido was always on top of things, listened to all my concerns and responded very efficiently and professionally to what I asked for. Being an engineer myself, I can be strict when focusing on details, but Ido always accommodated my requests (as long as they were reasonable, of course). I was also very happy that the house was finished in the promised timeframe. Before starting the job, I heard lots of stories from friends that worked with other contractors about how they always blew up the schedule, but that wasn't the case with CHR. There were a few minor delays because of the issues that we discovered during the construction, but overall, the project was finished on time and at a reasonable cost. My house now looks like a new house, and I'm enjoying it every day. I will definitely recommend Creative Home Remodeling to anybody that is thinking of doing a remodeling job, big or small. read more

I requested for them to give me a quote and I also requested another company to give me a quote. they were pretty much very similar in price the request was for doing pavers in my backyard throughout my whole backyard. The gentleman that came out was Yaniv. He measured my backyard gave me a quote came to an agreement. Right before the job he came out and measured again everything was perfect. As a matter fact he said that the measurements he was getting there was going to be leftovers and so we were OK with that since we had all agreed on a price. The day of the job the installers came and I guess it is customary to remeasured. the installer said that the measuring was wrong there was like about 500 feet not allowed for. Got on the phone with Yaniv and he came out and he said it was a mistake that he had made a mistake even though he had messured three times and I always stress to him I wanted my whole backyard done. So he said he could only do the pavers the amount of square footage that he had quoted and if we wanted the rest of the backyard which was initially discussed and agreed upon now we need to pay an additional $5000 at this point we had already given him the deposit and the workers had started the demolition. we could not come to an agreement. He absolutely was not willing to make it right or come to any terms whatsoever he just kept saying was it was a messuring mistake but he didn't do any thing to remedy the mistake we were the ones that ended up losing part of my backyard was never done and he charge me the amount that we initially agreed on to do the hole backyard but were we went wrong is that we didn't do the measurements I don't know about measurements I was relying on his numbers he's the one that does this for a living I assume that he was covering my whole backyard because I told him I want the whole backyard messuring is not my strong, so I left it up to him. he measured the whole backyard and he gave me a quote and everytime he messured he did the hole backyard so never were we under the impression that it would be less. All i am telling u is that if u encounter something like this make sure u write down on the contract very clear that u want ur hole backyard with the right messurements. Because now i can not even take him to court because he new that it was my hole backyard but he wrote down feet that he messured And now he knows a judge would stick to that! He under messured so he can get the job is what i feel he did and then left us hanging. I kept my end of the bargain by paying on time and all but he did us very wrong. Be aware they quote u a lesser amount so that they can get ur business and word it a particular way that they know if they go to court they will win. I have never done a renovation before and decided to start with my master bathroom. I chose Creative Home Remodeling Group online after reading reviews and comparing to other companies. I submitted a request for a quote and someone called back immediately and made an appointment with me. Ben was the project manager that came to my home to look at my project and give his suggestions regarding possibilities for the room. He was cordial, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He submitted his written proposal in a timely fashion and I quickly made the decision to proceed with this company. What impressed me most about Ben is his attention to detail and his communication skills. He called me almost everyday of the remodel and was onsite all the time. His team of skilled workers were awesome and I was very happy with their work. We had a slight delay with the timeline as we failed the first inspection. Our job was a disappointment. Every step of the way. On top of the normal delays and surprise overages, which we expected, this company barely supervised the job, used very cheap materials, and employed some of the most incompetent workers I have ever seen. While they are nice about fixing things, they do almost NOTHING right the first time. Which means you have a full-time job managing the project even though you hired someone to do it. They have almost no ability to see ahead and be prepared for the next step of the project. Even though I have many examples of their incompetence, I will just share one. Their "Door specialist" almost installed a six-foot, $3K, sliding door backwards. Once again, I had to step in to prevent the error. THEY ARE VERY EXPENSIVE FOR THE LOWEND WORK THEY DO. Sears came out to service our Refrigerator, the Technician showed me where the water line for the ice maker/water dispenser comes through the wall, (not sealed hole leading under house and through the drywall/ adapter plate won't even fit on to the housing) this was a new wall done by creative.
