First of all THANK GOODNESS for Ron!!! We decided to have our house remodeled and met a couple of contractors but the first time we met Ron, we're like ok, he is THE one! C - Communication is key! Talking to Ron is like talking to your good friend. Easy to communicate, listens and gives feedback and answers, even though he is out of the country! With great communication, you get answers to your questions and concerns asap! F - "Fast-Efficient"! This is what I called the entire team! Everything is done quick, timely manner and Ron reassures that "you will get your house back" so you can enjoy the "home" that they made beautiful for you! A - Attitude and demeanor of the entire crew was awesome!!! They're all nice, polite, and respectful! They work from morning until afternoon with a smile! I appreciate people that love their job... P - Price for us was very reasonable. We appreciate the fact that Ron doesn't suggest to go to a specific store for stuff, he'll give you free hand of where you wanna buy things so you can get the stuff within your price range. My seller had SB perform some buyer requested repair work which included some moisture detection and its source, plus installation of a French drain system and all of the needed restoration work such as a lot of plaster repair, which was exceptional, the buyer even questioned if the walls were ever opened up as they looked untouched. I have continually asked SB Construction to stop posting pictures of my home for advertising purposes, and they refuse to do so. This is why I feel the need to share my experience... the pictures they post do not reflect the quality of their work. There are multiple problems the contractor committed to fixing, and while blatantly ignoring my texts, he continues to post. It's tacky and unprofessional. The dishonesty in saying this was a full home remodel is also incredibly frustrating. This remodel was supposed to be for my entire home. We agreed to start on the top floor with a 6 week time frame and then move onto the second floor. Well that 6 week time period turned into an entire year and I refused to move forward with this company for the remainder of my home. It was a horrific experience and the aftermath of the low quality work continues to haunt me a year and a half later. I have had to fix multiple issues and have spent thousands redoing their subpar work... yet the company continues to post the pictures. The pictures you cannot see are the walls left opened underneath the sinks... the leaks from the brand new sliding doors after every single rain... the damaged baseboards and flooring (both brand new) because of the nonstop leaks... the freshly painted walls bubbling up because the painters did not use the proper primer... the electrical issues that required walls to be reopened to assure that the live wires were no longer a safety concern... the dents and chips over all of my "custom wood cabinets and niche" that turned out to be MDF and not wood (as discussed). The list goes on and on. So many lies and so many mistakes turned this 6 week project into an entire year of frustration and lost money. There was also a constant turnover of subcontractors. To cover up that they had actually quit, the contractor would blame me. I maintained relationships with several of them who have helped me with my issues post remodel now that they are no longer working with Ron and his team. The original carpenter let me know that Ron specifically asked him to use the cheapest material and that is why they went with MDF vs wood. The carpenter that replaced him also told me Ron asked him to do the same. The subcontractors constantly complained about the lack of communication and would bad mouth the team whenever they were in my home. Because of the constant turnover due to the subs always quitting... because of the lack of attention to detail due to working on too many projects at once... because of the dishonesty and low quality work that was a constant theme throughout the project, I would feel guilty not sharing my honest feedback. When I saw someone else recently experienced the same nightmare, I felt bad for not sharing my experience sooner. If this review just helps one person not go through what I had to go through, then I feel obligated to share an authentic review. read more

Due to SERIOUS current and ongoing legal matters against Ron Shaked and Omri Behar of SB Construction and Remodeling Inc, their previous RMO, Hai Phu Nguyen and the GC, Home Creations, they hired to work on our renovation and addition, I will refrain from posting detail's and photos right now but to make a long story short eight months into the project we had to tear down almost our whole entire house and start from scratch from what they did including some current foundation work that could never be fixed right unless we properly excavated, which, which they didn't. Please make sure you are very careful and extensively check everything first before hiring them. READ EVERY review on every platform and do a very thorough check on the CSLB website- past companies owned and affiliated with, actual experience and what they claim on marketing themselves. There will be a link to all evidence and photos shortly on a website to show the history and communication of everything so homeowners can do their due diligence on every company of affiliated that worked on our house. We hired Ron and SB Construction to renovate our backyard and side yard. At first everything was fine, Ron gave us a detailed quote and started on time. As work progressed however, we had nothing but problems working with this company. The subcontractors he hired had no idea what they were doing. They laid our pavers with too much of a slope so none of our outdoor furniture sat evenly. We had to fight with them to fix their work. He charged us over $1200 to repair the holes his electricians made in our stucco and then used interior paint on the exterior of our house so we now need to repaint everything. Our fire pit was installed at an angle and the pergola was the wrong color because no one from their company was here overseeing the job. The people who installed the turf never talked to us about pet-friendly turf options even though they were well aware we had dogs. They also never offered to install any type of odor eliminator so we had to do that ourselves. The biggest reason I decided to write this review is because the electricians SB Construction used could have burned down my house! They installed a heater that needed 250 volts with the incorrect equipment. We couldn't understand why the heater kept knocking out our breaker. Finally, I had to hire another electrician to come and fix their work. He told me the heaters wires inside my roof were all melted together and could have caused a fire! The project took much longer than expected because it was poorly managed. At the end we were extremely unhappy but we were so tired and frustrated from dealing with Ron that we would have done anything to get him off our property. Ron was very difficult to work with and hard to get in touch with unless it was time for a stage payment. We had to threaten to report him to the contractors board on more than one occasion just to get the job completed. Since the project was finished we have had to spend over $9000 just to fix their work. Do not work with SB Construction! read more

BUYER BEWARE! In October 2021 I entered into a contract with Ron Shaked/ SB Construction to remodel my 2bed 2bath apartment. I live in a high rise which allows a maximum of 3 months for small renovation projects. However, Ron assured me that he and his team of professionals could have the project completed in 2 months. This was great news I was excited to hear as i'd plan to live in the apartment during the construction. After working out the issues with his insurance coverage November 1, 2021 demo work began. The demo went well with the exception of one major detail. Ron's demo guys destroyed the cast iron tub i'd planned to keep. Days after the electrical team came. All went well (so I thought) until the city inspector came to do a ruff inspection and discovered Ron's team of electricians left live wires inside the walls (see pics). Things went downhill from there. Everything Ron, his subs and workers touched was a disaster. It got so bad the building manager stopped work on the project until we could get things under control. Work resumed but sadly things never got better. Not only did Ron's workers continue to hide electrical wires inside the walls but there were plumbing issues, carpentry issues, poorly cut/destruction of very expensive marble/porcelain slabs, horrible craftsmanship and a total lack of attention to detail. Just when I thought things couldn't get any worse I discovered Ron's workers had been urinating in buckets, coke cans and water bottles which they left throughout my home (see pictures). On top of all that Ron was double billing me for things he previously billed me for in the original quote. Things got so bad that I called into question Ron's credentials. Im not sure where Ron was getting his workers from but every other day he (Ron) was bringing/sending a different group of "workers" into my home who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Again I took my concerns to my building manager. She began running a quick background check on every worker. What she discovered was shocking. Some of his (Ron) workers had criminal records and when questioned they admitted they were day workers. Needless to say things came to a head as I could no longer tolerate Ron and his workers incompetence. I was spending my hard earned money for garbage. Instead of making things right Ron's solution was to abandon the project. After I surveyed the damage I requested a refund. Ron agreed to reimburse me but needless to say I never saw a penny so I decided to file a claim with his insurance company. I didn't get the full amount I was requesting but 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing. Needless to say considering the condition of my apartment it was very difficult to find a legitimate contractor to take over the project. No one wanted to touch it. After months of searching I finally found a great company to complete my renovation. Putting an end to an almost 16 month nightmare that was only suppose to take two (2) months to complete.
