Great staff, great customer service, beautiful project finished. After reading some of the reviews here, I admit I was hesitant to go with Creative Countertops. But, I really wanted to deal with a local company, not some big outfit from across the water. Bill at Creative was great when I made my initial visit. He knows his stuff, took his time to explain everything, and followed up every question. I ended up picking a granite I never thought I would, but the price was right. It took couple of weeks for templating appointment, and then two weeks for the manufacture which they do on site with their giant machines. I really liked being able to review how my countertop pieces were being placed on the slabs I chose, and having the ability to tell the designer "please turn that one 90 degrees, to take advantage of that white area I want to see in the top right corner of the backsplash" etc., because they have photos of your slab they lay out on! The installation guys, that I ended up calling the "J crew" because all three of their names started with J, were extremely polite and professional. Yes, sadly we ran into couple of issues. Not with the extremely complicated pieces with 6 different angles that had to go into awkward places - those "weirdos" were all measured and fit perfectly. It was the rectangle backsplash piece that had an issue, and it was addressed on the spot, and resolved to my satisfaction within 2 days. Kudos to Creative to owning their mistake, owning it, and making it right. Overall, I would go with these guys again, and do recommend them. And no, they didn't ask me to write them a review. read more

As part of a complete kitchen gut and remodel, Creative Countertops was chosen by my contractor to fit and install both quartzite and quartz countertops. They were extremely expensive yet performed unprofessionally. Two quartz pieces were miss cut, they gouged the side of an adjacent wood cabinet, and then retracted their offer to address inevitable chips because I missed their one-year window by a month. And the owner, Jason, whined about how hard it is to cut quartzite and said he wouldn't do any more quartzite work! Isn't that what they are supposed to be able to do well!? I redesigned the backsplash to save them from having to order a new slab of quartz, but they did have to recut the elevated area around the prep sink, as their first attempt was ludicrous. Unless you have no budgetary constraints, all the time in the world and the patience of a saint, go elsewhere. read more

I don't plan on hiring these guys again. Let me say, however, that the workers/installers were incredibly friendly and were very conscientious while in our home. Unfortunately, we had a series of problems occur while replacing several countertops. 1. They were scheduled to finish the job in one day, a Friday, before a 3 day weekend. They only got 1/2 the job complete and ended up rushing near the end of the day unfortunately. They drilled the kitchen faucet too far back so when we tried to install the faucet the next day, it couldn't go in because the windowsill was in the way. Our plumber had to cut a chunk out of our windowsill in order for the faucet to go in. They also didn't come back for over a week to continue working on our job so we were left without a sink in our kids bathroom for much longer than expected. 2. The laundry room counter had to be cut 3x, so they had to come back to our house 3x, because they had gotten the measurements incorrect. Third times a charm, and they eventually got it. 3. They uninstalled our stove and retractable fan to install the kitchen counters. When they reinstalled it, the retractable fan no longer works properly. I have to hire someone to come out and fix it. When I explained this to the owner, he turned it back on me and told me that they don't mess with gas so it's not their responsibility. When I told him that I handled the gas installation myself but his worker uninstalled/reinstalled the stove, he still did not take responsibility for it. 4. They used blue painter tape to tape down cardboard to protect our wood floors. When they peeled them up, the top finish of our wood floors peeled up and now our floors are ruined. Again, they blamed it on old floors (they're 12 years old). The owner said he would call someone who refinished floors but there was never any follow up. read more

Called to ask about their stones, a very rude sales lady got irritated when I told her I wasn't interested in quartz countertops. She said if I wanted natural stone, I'd have to find it on my own from one of their vendors. I asked if she could direct me to their websites or email me links, she got even more irritated and said she'd email me and hung up. She never followed up. They have done quality work for us in the past. Incredibly expensive, but quality. Needed a shower remodel. Original quote was breathtakingly expensive but it needed to be done. gave them a 10400 dollar deposit via visa. signed contract. Comes time to do scheduling, and ooooops, they forgot to include the demolition fees of 15 to 20K on top of a 20 k project. we cancelled the project. asked for refund of our deposit, multiple calls. Final call with Accounts manager found them to be defensive, rude, dismissive, interrupting, and frankly hostile. they plan on holding back 250.00 for the Visa fee......normally I would understand this, but in this case, we did NOT change our mind after giving a down payment. They BROKE THE TERMS of the contract, leading to us cancelling the deal. Now they are trying to say that we were aware of the terms (page two of the contract, and actually we were aware of it upon signing). It seems horrendously unprofessional and borderline dishonest that they will not refund the entire deposit based on their own mistakes!!!! Don't every do business with them. They are ingenuous, manipulative, misleading, and very dissapointing. Lucky for them there is little other competition in Kitsap county or they would be out of business within 6 months. read more

Went to their location, selected a remnant piece to add to our kitchen island. We worked with the owner and his wife. The wife wrote our name on our selected slab, promised great customer service they provided, and then waited for them to contact us, per their process. We heard nothing!! We called a week later, the desk person didn't know what we were talking about!! Fortunately, I had taken a photo of the slab with my name written on it by the owner's wife. He dug into the files and found that our request was inappropriately buried in a file and nothing was being done on our order. Finally they used my photo to find my info!! The Installers were great. However, I never received an apology, never received anything about their horrible service or inappropriate process or behavior. I would not recommend them. read more

They were always here on schedule from templates to installation. Had masks and cleaned up after themselves. No pressure to buy and their inventory was fine. Our bathroom remodel presented some thorny problems to the Creative Countertop teams. However, they stuck with us and kept in touch throughout the process of troubleshooting what turned out to be an incompatible sink/faucet combination (unknown to all beforehand!). We were especially impressed with the team who created the template and also the installation team (including the plumber). They were prompt, respectful (wore masks), and efficient. Nothing but praise for the office team, the owner Jason AND the installation teams. read more

I was very disappointed with the work Creative did. I had to have them come back 3 times after complaining about multiple things wrong. I also had to hire another contractor to finish the work since they sent out a very inexperienced installer for the kitchen project. All the other five star comments are true. Many companies can provide competent service. Creative Countertops is different: they're true craftsmen, and their pleasure in their work shines through every interaction. It's hard to put into words. I felt they were really with me every step of the way, that they cared about the end results as much as I did. It wasn't just a business transaction. It was more like a barn-raising where people help each other build something together. Money can't buy that. It comes from good people. My project was modest, a solid surface vanity top. The owner talked to me about surfaces with genuine interest and he showed off his stock with a pride that had nothing to do with upselling. The price was very good. They came out to measure the project very quickly. Their team answered all my questions and also spotted some problems with my amateur measurements that saved me a lot of trouble. They worked on the installation with the same care as if it had been the finest stonework. And although my project was modest, it looked better than I ever imagined. Creative Countertops recently put in new Countertops in my kitchen and master bath . I do like the Countertops, but the way they conduct their business is despicable. Trying to charge me $100's of dollars over their original bid. Their plumbers who they hired were not informed of jobs that I was told they would do. Creative Countertops workers placed holes in improper place for my kitchen sink so one of my faucets would only work at a 45 degree angle. The only solution was to buy a new faucet . Creative Countertops did not compensate us for their mistakes. Instead they charged us more money! read more

We had our bathroom remodeled in our house on Bainbridge Island. Creative Countertops installed our tile floors, vanity top, and glass tile surround in the bathtub. In the beginning everyone was very nice to work with, but after the vanity went in, things started going downhill. It took a month to complete our tiny bathroom. I felt like they just fit us in between jobs. The "interior designer" in the front office made me feel like I was bothering her several times when I would call. There was extremely poor communication between the office, workers, and client (myself). On several occasions I had to call to see if they were even going to show up to work that day. To be fair, after the job was complete the floor and vanity looked very nice. However, there was a mistake made on the tile surround in the shower. The paper backing was ripped off on about 6 glass tiles in the corner of the shower. We called Creative Countertops and asked if they would repair it. They told us they would have The worker who installed it call to discuss the repair. We never heard from him. After three more attempts to get someone out to look at it, with no return call or email. We were so frustrated we basically gave up. To poor salt in the wound, I ran into the man who was the foreman on the job in the grocery store four months later. I asked him why no one has gotten back to us? He said, "we just discussed it yesterday and he would tell the worker who installed it to call me." I told him that I thought that was really poor customer service and he agreed. That was 8 days ago, I still have not heard anything from them. read more

We used Creative Countertops for our recent kitchen remodel. They installed granite and a stone backsplash. We picked our own granite slabs in Fife and then we were able to layout our templates on the slabs how we wanted them to be cut. We really liked that! Everyone we worked with at Creative Countertops was so friendly and helpful. We had about 4 different people at our home throughout the remodel and everyone of them was conscientious, friendly and did beautiful work. We used Creative Countertops for a recent extensive bathroom remodel. They delivered in a big way, for a price that is probably 25% less than the bid of one of their major area competitors for such remodels. One notable benefit was that their expertise extends well beyond countertops. What they couldn't do, such as electrical, plumbing and finished drywall, they were able to recommend and coordinate with, reasonably priced, reliable contractors for those trades. In effect, their expertise and flexibility allowed us to avoid paying for a general contractor (which is effectively the role they performed). They have an outstanding selection of materials and their understanding of the performance of the materials and design elements allowed them to work effectively with our designer to come up with exactly what we wanted at a reasonable cost. Their workers are skilled and universally pleasant, and were very considerate with their scheduling and communication. If we have any more projects of this type, we will likely go to them without any further shopping around. We should note that our designer, Connie Lamont, recommended them and deserves our thanks for doing so, as well as for her great design and ability to work with Creative Countertops to make our vision a reality. I worked with Creative Countertops to replace solid surface kitchen counter tops with quartz. Before finding Creative I worked with a local kitchen and bath company but the prices were extremely high. So I visited Creative Countertops and was not disappointed. They had a nice show room with plenty of product to view and I was able to take a car load of samples home to think about. I had to provide my own measurements and drawings and based on that the price estimate was about 40% lower than the other company. Granted that the other company took care of every prep and post detail and with Creative I took on a few of the responsibilities. Every home project is not without problems and this was no different. A week before installation was scheduled I was called and informed that the quartz I had selected was no longer available from the manufacturer. Because I was leaving town I had to rush down and bring home other samples and make a quick decision. Without me asking, Creative Countertops provided a very nice discount for the inconvenience. I was able to make another selection which, to this day, I am pleased with. Just a couple of days I got another call from Creative to let me know that there was a problem with the quartz slabs they received and colors not matching. I had a friend scheduled to do the plumbing for me and having to push the installation date meant I lost my plumber. So, without asking again Creative arranged a plumber, at no cost to me, to complete the post install work. So with the day of installation finally here the guys were quite good. They were professional and careful and friendly. They did a magnificent installation job and the final product was perfect. So even though this project was not without issues, I was impressed at how Creative always did the right thing and was very easy to work with...from the show room staff to the installers. Hence the 5 stars. I would not hesitate to work with Creative Countertops again. read more
