So first off let me say its surprisingly hard to find a good tile guy at a decent price. In my search half didn't return calls, others bid two to three times what Emerald Install did it for. So needless to say I was excited that Emerald Install responded quickly when I reached out. One downside was they charge for a measure to give a quote. The measure was professional and informative, but then the quote didn't come for weeks. I was tempted to blow them off but they apologized, explained what happened, and I decided to give them a chance. Install happened on time, work was done professionally, and the end result looks great. So while it was a bit bumpy road, I'm hopeful they'll work out the process kinks in quoting and I'd still recommend them for a tile job and hire them again for my home. read more

My husband and I visited the Emerald showroom while shopping for new flooring. We found Alexander professional, helpful, responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly. He had a nice selection of high quality, but reasonably priced, flooring covering options and helped us identify the LVP flooring we were trying to match in our new house. Due to construction delays, we put the selection of new flooring on hold. A few weeks later my contactor removed some of the existing LVP floor to do foundation work. When my contractor was then unable to reinstall the floor, we panicked since it was critical for the next stage of our remodel. I immediately reached out to Alexander at Emerald Installation. He was AMAZING! Alexander came over that same afternoon and reinstalled the flooring. It was beautiful, and just in time for the next stage of construction. We went to Emerald Installation for new carpet and laminate flooring based on their 5 star reviews and boy those reviews were right. They are fantastic!! We shopped around and were under whelmed by other places. A competitor's estimate stated that carpet seams will show! Natasha assured us that the would not happen with Emerald and she was right. Everyone there was kind and patient with us as we took awhile to figure out what we wanted. They went to extreme lengths to make sure we were happy. They replaced my entire upstairs pet-stained carpet with beautiful flooring, and put down a sealer that eliminated the pet urine odor. They even included a closet and stairway. This is our second experience with Emerald and they never disappoint. Their customer care and communication were excellent. We were delayed by wrong items delivered, snow, and other variables but they communicated each step of the way and ensured quality work. We asked for carpet tear out and both laminate and tile work. All is beautiful. What a great, attentive team. My only criticism/exception to above would be the subcontractors who did the master bathroom tile. They blocked all access to our bedroom and clothing and set up their tile cutter in the bedroom. They left everything overnight and we had to sleep elsewhere. Everything was carefully protected with coverings and plastic but did not like having the tile cutter in the room and the blocked access was not communicated. For price and quality, Emerald is the way to go. We'll be back. read more

My roof failed and the wood floors were ruined. Emerald was willing to work with me to get the price down closer to what my insurance would reimburse, and then new floors are much better quality than what was here before. Update: they claimed they had me scheduled for Sunday. So, since I couldn't get out in time to deal with it before then, I figured I'd see if they'd come out or not. They did--it was quick. I scheduled the installation almost 4 weeks out (today, August 29th--the day I had available and show up between 8-10am. Plenty of time, figuring that they already messed me around once. There's NO WAY they'd do it again, right? Well, yesterday they called to see if they could move me back to 10-12pm to finish another project. Ok--I used some poor words in my last interaction and I still feel bad about it (various swear words) so I owed them one...no problem. Just be here when you say you will. It is now 12:15pm...no show. Called in, they don't have any response from their installers and don't know where they are nor when they will be here. read more

We had Emerald install new kitchen backsplashing. They had to do quite a bit of special work around fixtures, windows, etc., and we had almost 40 feet of backsplash installed. The worst company we have ever done business with. The installers lie, they ruined our furniture during our install and rather than own up to their mistake, they said nope, won't help you fix your items. Love how on both google and yelp half of their reviews are by employees and not by actual customers. This company is more concerned with their review rating than doing right by customers, what a joke! Reported this business to the BBB for shady business practices and horrible customer service after the install. If you go through Loews for an install, please do your homework and request anyone other than this company. You will regret it from the moment they step foot into your home to measure the floors to the moment they leave after the install and weeks after like we are. Update: while I appreciate your response, none of what you have stated is true. The furniture was delivered to our home and had not moved until your installers moved them. The paint on the wall has remained the same since I painted them two years ago. While we do have the intention on repainting our master bedroom, that has not and will not occur for quite some time. Furthermore, the furniture was not turned to face the wall. We have pictures to refute this claim made by your installation team as well as eye witness accounts of when the furniture was delivered and a witness that was here while your installers were in the other rooms who can attest that we didn't move anything as you claim. The soiled carpets were due to the previous owners of the home and their pets, hence why we replaced the carpets. This was told to both your installers and the Lowe's team at the time of purchase. As stated in the complaint, we also have a custom gate at the bottom of the stairs to block any animals from the upper level of our home. This also blocks them from chewing our furniture as you are claiming they did. Also, the distance between both the items is too narrow for any animal to fit their mouth around, let alone two big dogs that we actually own. If you would like to come take a look at the furniture items in question, I urge you to co tact me directly to schedule a date and time. Maybe you can also take the cigarette butts from my yard at the time left behind by your team as well as the chewed gum left on our sound window sill (due to medical reasons, we are a no gum household). I would recommend this company to anyone. My husband and I have had some mediocre experiences with floor installations in homes in the past by other companies, but this experience was top notch. BEWARE ! This company was our second estimator for full house carpet replacement .... they estimated 400 sq. ft. more than the first company !! Emerald is Lowe's only estimator and after going over this issue with the Lowe's carpet salesman and he/Lowes could not get them down to the actual measurement, I washed my hands of them both. I had done my homework and understand seam placement and the "waste" that comes with laying carpet ..... I feel Emerald was trying to rip me off. I had something to compare to so it's good to have two to three estimations. My advice is BEWARE ! read more

I recently got new floors for my upstairs. I went with someone who was suggested here for the installation. They didn't begin the work when they said they would. In fact it was 5 weeks later. Said it would take two days, after four days they still weren't done. The work they did do was horrible. When I asked if it could be fixed, they walked off the job. There was not much to be done and I didn't know where to go to find someone to finish such a small job. Happily I found Emerald Installation. They came out immediately. Showed up when they said they would. Treated my home with respect. Did a wonderful job and fixed the damaged caused by the previous person. We hired Lowe's to install our kitchen backsplash. They told us they had companies they sub-contracted with who could complete our job. It took Lowe's a while but we got a call from Belinda, the Office Manager for Emerald Installation. Since it took Lowe's so long for them to find us an installer, I informed Belinda that we were on the verge of canceling our contract with Lowe's. She assured me that they were the right company to do our job and to give them a chance. She told me her installers were exceptional and we would be pleased with the finish product. She even text me some great pictures of jobs they had previously completed. Best of all, she told her crew was available the next day. An appointment was set for her installers to arrive between 8 - 10am the next day. The next day I looked out my window at 7:15 and noticed a couple of vehicles in my driveway. When I went outside, I met with Eric Behring, Emerald Installation's Operation Manager and his installers Eugene & Nick. They told me they had already picked up the material from Lowe's and were ready to begin working. And working they did. They recommended things to us along the way which enhance the beauty of the job. Their attention to detail and the way they cared for our home in the performance of their work was better than could have expected. Eric was at our job site the majority of the time to make sure that we were satisfied with his employees work. And satisfied we are! The finished backsplash is more beautiful than anything my wife and I expected. Belinda in the office was a true gem! Her professionalism is out of this world! Had it not been for her, we would have cancelled our job with Lowe's. I would avoid using them at all cost. We had multiple issues. They took the paint off the wall when pulling up the old carpet. They did not offer to fix. They did not carpet a storage area. We were told this was not part of the measurement despite my discussion when he came out to measure. They do not leave remnants unless it is documented in the contract. Well no one ever said this and we have had previous houses carpeted and never encountered the installer not leaving the remnants that you purchased. The installer did not replace the sliders for the carpet. He came out and told my husband how to do. For the life of my I do not understand why he did not complete this. The installer left garbage in the house and outside. He also left carpet fibers all over. So suggest you have your carpet installed by someone else. Don't buy your carpet from Lowe's either. We will be doing our shopping at Home Depot from now on. read more

Truly the best. We were on a short time frame around the holidays and they squeezed us in and did an amazing job! We had one issue where the carper ripples just a bit but I think it was more so because of the size and shape of the room and how they had to cut the carpet and seam it but they were so quick to fix it and apologetic. I found the countertop and backsplash I wanted at Lowes and they offered to organize installation. Lowes managed to make one mistake after another with the exception of the two contractors that did the installation. Emerald did the backsplash AND worked through the fact that Lowes sent out the wrong material, then it would take a week to get the correct tile from the Bremerton store. DUH. Then they sent the wrong amount and I had to return it. Every step of the way Emerald people were fabulous and reassuring and they stepped in to get things straightened out with Lowes. The installers were so professional and highly skilled. I'm an architect and those things matter a lot to me. When they left everything was clean and done properly so all I had to do was move stuff back into the kitchen. read more

I can't say enough good things about our Emerald Installation experience! From the estimator, to the schedulers, to the installer, we had excellent service and LOVE our new carpet. The estimator, Craig, went above and beyond as we asked him to bring the samples more than once. Lori, our Emerald project manager, was extremely responsive to all communications and was very tolerant of my crazy indecision! The installer, Alberto was nothing short of amazing! I don't think I have ever seen anyone work that hard. He moved our very heavy furniture efficiently, while taking care of our treasured things. Due to something out of his control, he could not get here until noon. Emerald guaranteed the work would be done in one day and that guy stayed until 8:30 at night to finish. Worst experience I have ever had. They are unprofessional and do not know what they are doing. I purchased vinyl plank from Lowe's and went through Lowe's to have it installed. Lowe's contracts with Emerald. The installers came out and the first thing they did is blast their music in my home loud enough for the neighbors to hear. I had to tell them to turn it off. Strike one. After they were done, I inspected the floor and everything visible looked ok; however, they had taped up the transition piece at the doorways so I couldn't see what they looked like and told me to wait 24 hours before removing it. Once I removed it, I realized they just cut a piece of the transition piece and glued it to the floor up against the threshold. I called Lowe's and Emerald to express my concern - that is not how it is suppose to look - it was not a seamless look like I had before and like the rest of my doorways where the floor meets the carpet. I sent pictures and they sent the same unprofessional installers back out after me calling for an entire week and fighting with them. The installers came out and told me there was nothing they could do. Strike two. This battle is still continuing. I have spent the last two+ weeks calling Emerald and Lowes. Each time I speak with someone all I get is we are working on it. I finally asked for a manager at Emerald and Britan or Brittany admitted that the installers should have told me beforehand that there was an issue with the threshold before starting and they wouldn't be able to put the transition in the threshold without causing possible damage to the doorway because the threshold there is a wooden piece that I'm going to say they just don't know how to take out because they don't know what they are doing! After admitting to this, she still went on to say that there is nothing they can do and that was that. I was so frustrated I just hung up the phone and called Lowe's to speak to a manager. I expressed my concern to the manager with Emerald and Lowes especially with having to call daily for two weeks to get an update on how they are going to fix this problem. Within the hour, I did get a call from Lowe's and they stated Emerald will be back out to fix the problem. You best better believe that when they come back out I will record the entire job because I do not have the confidence they know how to do the work that needs to be done in the doorway. I will NEVER have anything installed through Lowe's again! This has been a complete nightmare. They haven't even refunded me my money for work not done after two weeks! read more

Loved that they showed up in a mask, safety being my #1 priority right now as am senior with many healthy issues, disabled being just one. I am acting as my own GC for this tune up remodel. Can't get many sub contractors to even call, text, email, voicemail me Even when I state I am hiring right now! Grrr. Emerald always contacted me within hours after advising them I needed to speak with them at their earliest convenience. All employees on the team from owner on down are awesome! we are doing a tuneup of our house since we are in house arrest/lockdown. most of the contractors don't even return phone calls texts emails etc. etc. these people do all of the above owner down to laborers and all in between. I reached out to Emerald Installation after a friend recommended them to me after my flooring company backed out. I called and set up an appointment for an estimate and decided to go with them. Time came for the installation of the tile and I so waited my two hour time frame but the installer was running late. He came two hours after the allotted time, was cranky and said he couldn't do the job. Thank goodness that Lori the project manager was there. Within in two days she had her best tile person scheduled to do the job while the asst manager Christian delivered my flooring and to come to speak to me about the incident last Saturday. Then it was time for the flooring guys and I was amazed at how fast they did the work and how they paid attention to detail. Very poor communication. Not sure who to point the finger at with a carpet installation. Purchased carpet from Lowe's in Federal Way. Emerald Installation is farmed out from Lowe's to do their installs. Through Lowe's I was told all our furniture in our bedroom would be moved to install our carpet. When the installers showed up they called their company and said they don't move beds or dressers with personal items. I had to contact neighbors as fast as I could to come and move the furniture. Honestly, I think they just didn't want to do it after the installer told me his boss only pays him $20.00 to move it. When I called Emerald they told me Lowe's was responsible for telling me the bed needed to be disassembled and the drawers needed to be removed from the dressers. When I talked with the scheduler at Emerald I asked him specifically IF there was ANY stipulations. He said to just have electronics and breakables removed from the top of the dressers. Make sure you ask, ask, ask every question you can possibly think of. Bottom line, the job is done and looks good. Be careful going through a third party. read more

We have had a great experience with Emerald Installation Inc. through project coordinator Michelle B. and the team who installed our bathroom floors. And offer our strongest possible recommendation to **work directly with Emerald** rather than through another national chain where they utilize Emerald as a subcontractor. There appears to have been/be a communication disconnect between the national chain and Emerald leading to less than positive reviews for Emerald here on Yelp and other review sites; very unfortunate for customers and both companies. Based upon our first project experience with Emerald directly, we will have additional, more significant work completed in the future. We found Emerald while visiting the Kitsap Home Show last year.
