I used to come here all the time, but unfortunately I won't be returning for a few reasons. After one visit, my mother developed a serious toe infection, which was really upsetting. I also always make sure to tip, but it feels uncomfortable when the staff seem to treat customers differently if the tip isn't what they expect -- even to the point of not acknowledging you or saying goodbye. I decided to get a pedicure. Bad choice. CLEARLY, their tools are unsterile, the lady who did my nails looked to be cutting skin off the side with her instrument. The next morning my toe was swollen, hurting, and red. Extremely painful. Hurts to walk on. I now have PUSS coming out of my toe. Let me preface by saying I've never had a toe infection IN MY LIFE. And I get my toes done once a month. Called the salon and she said she would talk to the lady. But then she said if it's not bleeding it's not infected. So unprofessional, and clearly; not true. But now I have to go on medication. They don't remove tools from packaging after they've been sterilized so I'm not sure what their procedures are with that. Clearly-there are none. And, clearly, you don't get a toe infection from clean tools. Totally pissed and honestly grossed out at whatever bacteria was living on their dirty tools, and that my health was clearly put at risk and compromised. read more

I used to go every 2 weeks pre-covid for the $21 mani-pedi with eyebrow and lip wax it was about $40. Went back this week, it is now $62 for a mani-pedi, lip and eyebrow wax. For such a bare bones place it doesn't seem worth it to me. There are 2 other nail salons within a block. Will check them out next time. read more

1 star is TOO MUCH for this place. I used to be a monthly customer here, mainly for gel mani and pedi. Recently I went, and I was charged $47 for a gel pedi. Prior to the unreasonable charge, I had heard the manicurist talking to another woman in a yellow floral shirt asking how much they should charge me. It was very apparent that they were going back and forth about the price. Ultimately, the manicurist returned and said $47. On the wall, gel prices are listed as $35. I received NO massage or extra service. When I inquired about the price change, I was told it was due to cleaning of the callus, and because they charge $1 for removing gel. Absolute none sense, they make up the prices themselves depending on their mood and who is working there. You lost a customer for good. read more

I went here based on the Yelp reviews. I normally get my nails done in Westwood. Now that it is pedicure weather, I thought I'd try a place closer to home. I went on a Saturday morning and the place was fairly busy, but able to fit me in immediately. The other customers, as others have mentioned, were clearly regulars. They knew the names of everyone in the place and were there for waxing, manicures, and pedicures. I'm not one for "regular" treatment (I like to remain anonymous) and don't make much small talk, I did receive good service even though I didn't make the effort to socialize like the other customers. This place definitely costs less than the salons in the Village. They had a good selection of OPI colors and their stations were clean. I think I'll be going here more often. read more

Came in on a Friday (noon). It's not busy. It's a clean and decent place. Friendly gals. I just thought that service was rushed/too quick though it's not busy... Regular Mani-pedi is $25, french tip is $3.. They offered $5 extra for 7 minute massage on arms and another $5 extra for 7 minute massage on legs.. They also offer $15 for a longer time..Massage was okay. I like how they don't rush you on leaving though... Gave me enough time to dry my polished nails. Note: Bring cash for tip. I've been wanting to write this review for a while now. I've come to Creation Nails several times in the last year to get my nails done. Their quality is consistently good. It's not superb, but good. They listen to what you want and will give it to you, even if the colors you've chosen look ridiculous. They do solid manicures & pedicures. I wouldn't bother paying the extra $2 or so for the massage chairs -- they ask you to turn off the massage function when they're doing your hands (otherwise you'll be shaking around too much). My one complaint about this place is, like most nail places, they take credit cards but make you feel super guilty about it. They straight up told me, "You don't have cash?" No. "Okay, we use credit card this time, but next time you bring cash." I told them, what's the point of accepting credit cards if you're going to shame people about it? They just smiled. Ugh. But I'll likely be back because they're so close to my house and they do a pretty good job. read more

Simply put, they are the best in the business! And prior to meeting them five years ago, I had tried about 50 other places to find my regular spot for manicures and pedicures. They are all terrific so I won't name names. There is no pretense here, they get the job done and do it well! Their skill level is near perfection and everybody is a very hard worker! Even though Saturday's are very busy, they do a great job, and the staff is very sensitive to, keeping the wait time to a minimum. We've noticed a lot of repeat customers, to the point that since we go at the same time every week, that we run into the same customers. And staff uses the customer's first name! Ever since Tina and a few other girls left, I stopped coming here. I used to be a big fan of Creations and had been a regular for years but when I found out they don't clean their tools, I had to stop coming. Sadly, I have to admit, the place is dirty. My Dad and I both had recurring nail fungus despite trying everything under the sun to get rid of it. Finally, when I stopped going to Creations Nails, my feet got better and so did his. I haven't been in over a year and my feet are beautiful and free of any fungus. I was a regular customer- coming regularly weekly, or bi weekly at the most, but it's not worth risking my foot health. They reuse the plastic liners in the foot tubs, they put dirty tools in open "Sterile" bags to make it look like they're fresh and new. Every bag should be sealed and torn open in front of you- you should be able to ask them to see the bag and upon inspection see the dot in the upper corner that changes color when it's sterilized properly. I have since found Tina and Lynne, they're over at Q salon in Beverly Hills. Now that's a clean and awesome place! Visited here last week. In need of a basic mani/pedi for a weekend wedding. I am not a regular mani-pedi girl but instead reserve it for special occassions - like when I have an event to go to or am need of some pampering. I don't like paying spa prices. Just something reasonably priced with good service. Creation Nails fits the bill. I found this place on yelp. It's close to my work and the prices seemed reasonable. A mani/pedi combo was $23. The ladies worked efficiently and I was in-and-out within the 1 hour parking meter time. Salon was quiet except for the sound of the televisions and occassional conversation. (Some of the loud conversations in other nail salons can be a little too much.) While I was there I noticed that several regulars came in - only reason I knew is because the ladies knew them by name. Regular customers is a good sign of a quality establishment. There was even a woman who seemed to be getting a 1 hour sholder massage in addition to getting her nails done. On their menu of services they also list waxing services. A sandwich board of their services sits on the sidewalk outside their doors if you want to check out their prices or services. Located 2 doors south of Feast from the East and adjacent to the church on the corner. Ample street parking is available, but you might have to cross the street. They gladly changed a dollar for quarters so that I could feed the meter. If you use a credit card to pay, they don't automatically add in the tip so request they add it before the swipe or tip in cash. read more

Came here based on the recommendation of my good friend and co-worker who always shows up with fantastic and beautiful nail and polish. Finally came here after getting the name of the awesome lady. Came here on a Monday for French tips with Kathy, who is awesome and pretty chatty which they usually are when still taking your old polish off and giving you a mini scrub and massage. What else can they do when they are so close to you, silent treatment? Anyways Kathy shared her life story with me and I'm happy to say we've kind become buddies. I also have a really bad habit of not sitting still and while drying the polish accidentally put in dents and scratches. All you yelpers who have come before me to Creations Nails (yes, it's actually called Creations with an S according to their signage) must have very low standards. First of all, the selection of colors was PATHETIC! Mayyyybe 25 essie colors, maybe 25 OPI, some other randoms and I think there was actually a Revlon color mixed into their measly collection. I would have turned around and walked out immediately if not for all the reviews I read before deciding to come here. Next, if you have massage chairs in your facility, the price must be built into the total price of the pedicure. This is called "Cost of Doing Business." And if your salon charges an extra $2 just to sit in this chair (no whirlpool mind you, just the chair and a bucket.) you had better tell the customer it's $2 more. And finally, please, oh please, I hoped they would do a good job at least! But no, almost every single nail turned out uneven, slanted, or shaped different than its neighbors. This is even after I explained more than once the shape I wanted and asked them to fix the unevenness. ATTENTION EAST COAST LADIES (AND GENTLEMEN): If you have ever had a mani-pedi in NYC or the surrounding areas, this place will underwhelm you like you can't imagine. They didn't hurt me or cause me to bleed but I will not be going back here and I suggest others looking for a quality mani-pedi avoid this place. read more

Here's hoping I didn't catch hepatitis. This place is not too observant of the health code. They tried to start my manicure with a bag of tools that was open, not sealed. I objected, and asked for a clean, sterilized, sealed bag. No one seemed to understand my English too well... but the woman working on my feet took the tools to the back, and came back with a sealed autoclave bag. However, the bag hadn't been actually autoclaved. If the bag is autoclaved, the little color indicators on it change color. For all I know, it was probably the same bag, just closed. I don't know why I decided to go ahead and let her do the manicure... I am kicking myself about it now and freaking out! Hopefully she really did disinfect the tools, at least, with barbicide. It's a disgrace that they're pretending to autoclave things without actually doing so. All of the nail buffers were obviously reused from other people (covered in white dust). The nail file, I couldn't tell if it was used on other people, because it was white, but it probably was dirty too, given the hygienic standards they've demonstrated so far. She was pretty rough, too, and filed my skin as well as nails. I give them 2 stars instead of 1 because the worker did spend a long time and do a thorough job, and my feet look good now even though they were pretty gross before (I was kind of overdue for a pedicure...) But this place needs to seriously change its practices or they are going to be spreading a lot of disease. Was here for the first time today to get my nails done for a wedding tomorrow. First off, they were incredibly busy- i was there on a lunch break & I didn't get called back until 20 min after my apt time. i should have left but i needed them done. Oh, and parking is a b*tch even though they have their own lot (it was full)... Yes, I know it's Westwood. I got a French tip gel manicure & French tip pedicure. The lady doing my pedicure couldn't paint a straight line to save her life or make the tips come even close to matching in thickness, so after over an hour of nit picking I finally just gave up. After having the callous remover done i should have checked but didn't & now I'm kicking myself. My feet are worse than I started & feel like sandpaper! The woman who did my gel nails was great for the most part, the nails look great but she didn't do a very good job cutting all the cuticles and rough skin off around my nails. Not really worth the $50+ I spent. I won't be going back. read more

I love Creations Nails! They do a great job and it's only $26 for a spa mani/pedi with french on my fingers. I've had Linda, Chau and Annie all do my nails and they all did a great job. They're very attentive and even fixed my nail for free when I came back later in the day, after I smudged my nail driving home. This salon is very clean and I love that they use removable foot baths for their massage chairs, so each person has fresh water and a plastic bag that covers the foot bath to ensure good hygiene. I make a point to come here at least once during each of my trips to L.A. And for UCLA students, trust me it's worth finding a ride down Westwood or catching the bus. This place is less expensive and does a MUCH better job than any of the places in the village (e.g. Son Tre, In Style, etc.). read more

I needed a quick pedicure because of a painful ingrown toenail. I tried to get it out myself prior to visiting creations but I made it worse. So I was scared of going here for the first time. But they were able to cut it out gently with very minimal pain!! And not to mention quickly. I didn't come prepared i was wearing sneakers but they had slippers ready for me and they charged me only a dollar for it. I got Mani pedi with foot massage and slippers for $39 read more

I have been going to this nail salon for oh, about 5-6 years now. No matter how far away I've moved or other nail salons I've been to, I seem to always come back here and the plus is, they all pretty much know me now. Nothing like having a salon where everyone knows your name/face (I never have to wait!). The prices are great, although they have gone up a few bucks since the beginning (still less than anywhere else though). They have a great selection of products (i.e. polish---I'm a brand snob). I agree with the verdict on Chau, she is great and SUPER fast, but then so is everyone else. Works out great if you're in a rush, however, it kinda sucks if you just want to relax and read a magazine b/c you don't get the chance. DO watch out for the offerings; everything they sell has a price. They draw you in w/the $20 mani/pedi combo but that can quickly go up w/the massage/buff/callous remover, etc, you get the idea. ONE caveat (although I have been guilty of this a few times) - DO NOT CHARGE THE TIP! They get kinda angry when you have them add the tip to your tab, just make sure you have at least a couple of dollars for that and you'll be fine. read more

The girls do a great job with nails. Beware, they try to charge you for everything so know what you are agreeing to (i.e. callous remover, foot massage, neck massage). I don't recommend the waxing. I have been burned a couple of times and stopped going. Stick to nails, they know what they are doing. They are particularly good at french manicures. read more

I have been to this salon I'd estimate over 30 times in the past few years. It's hit/miss in my experience. I had a manicure a few months ago that started to chip the next day but other times before/after has lasted longer. I've arrived many times without anyone greeting me, had to ask to be seen, sat and waited only for the next person to walk in to be worked on ahead of me. They're not very friendly - they do talk and laugh amongst themselves but treat the customer like they're not interested in them (except for 2 workers including the male one I think his name is Paul not 100% sure, who is very friendly, polite and professional) which is good when you don't feel like talking (I also had one girl who would not stop talking and asking me personal questions as if she was practicing her English on me and I was forced to say please stop but she wouldn't). Sometimes you feel like they are talking about you but can't understand what they're saying. They did have a remodel done recently with a long couch placed along the length of the wall where those who don't want the spa treament sit side by side in a row instead of at an individual table. The couch is pretty high up so as a short person my feet did not reach completely into the bucket of water below for the pedicure, just dabbling on the surface (I had asked for a spa seat but they were all taken which can be a good sign of being busy like that so best to schedule an appointment which I've never done before). They have two large flat screens on either wall playing the Food channel for the past several times I've been there (last two times the volume was off which to me is not good as I like to listen and better than hearing the workers talk in Asian with each other). A few years ago I'd have given it 5 stars but in recent times a 3 is more accurate maybe because I've been to better places since. Be prepared to pay in cash, they've even placed an ATM machine inside the shop recently and will encourage you to use it if you don't have cash. Also be careful with the meters if you park in front of the shop on Westwood Blvd as there's no parking after 4pm and the private lot can get full but there's more metered parking along the side streets behind and to the side. read more

For some reason when it would normally be dry - every single nail got messed up the minute I resumed every day life.
