After two disappointing experiences here, I am sad to say I will not be returning. My first visit was for a simple gel mani with cat eye + removal of my old gel polish. I booked an appointment in advance expecting to be in and out in a reasonable amount of time. However, my appointment ended up taking over two hours from start to finish. I sat there with my hands in foils for at least an hour while the techs attended to everyone around me. Once Annie saw me, she worked as quickly as possible which I appreciated but unfortunately my experience was already soured by then. I decided to give them another try and came back for gel x removal and builder gel. Unfortunately, they were overly aggressive with the removal and filed my nails paper thin. Now I am dealing with a deep and painful break in my nail (even with builder gel, which is supposed to make your nails stronger). I learned my lesson and will stick to my usual salon as they care more about preserving your nail health. read more

Do not go to Fancy Nails if you want to have a good experience. Only go if you're a regular. I went to Fancy Nails for the first time about a week ago, and honestly, if I could give this place negative stars or zero stars, I would. I usually go to Nature's Nails and see Brian, but he was out of town and wasn't going to be back for a while, so I decided to try Fancy Nails because I had heard good things. Unfortunately, those good things were not true for me, and I've since heard similar experiences from a couple of other people. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and usually get Gel-X. I had Gel-X on before getting my new set. The man at the front and on the phone was very kind, so I had no problem with him. However, the girl doing my nails, Annie, was a different story. She took a tool and ripped off my old Gel-X, which hurt and was especially concerning because my natural nails were already somewhat damaged. Then we picked the color. I wanted a dark cherry red, but the first color I chose didn't look exactly like the sample. I asked if she had anything darker, and she gave me a red-pink shade. I politely asked for something darker, and she gave me another red-pink shade that looked more red on the sample. It still wasn't a dark cherry red, more like a Lamborghini red, but I decided it was fine and went with it. Then we chose the length. I wanted something slightly longer than the short option. She said longer was $10 more, which was completely fine with me. I just didn't want them super long or super short. I asked if she could make them somewhere in between, maybe about an inch longer than the short ones, but she gave me an attitude and said it would be the same as the other one. I didn't want to argue, so I just went with the shorter length. While doing my nails, she only cured each coat for around 10 seconds, maybe 15 seconds maximum. This included the first coat, second coat, and top coat. I was concerned that it wasn't enough time, but I decided to trust her and not make a problem out of it. After I paid, I noticed that some of the nails were pokey and sharp. I'm really not picky about my nails or someone who looks for every tiny imperfection, but I had a lot of things coming up and wanted them to look nice. I asked if she could make them less sharp and more almond-shaped. She pulled my hand over, asked, "Like this?" and I said yes. She continued filing, and the process overall felt somewhat aggressive. I'm not saying she was extremely aggressive, but it was more aggressive than I'm used to. She did cure them for a little longer after filing. About a week later, two of my nails broke completely out of nowhere. It was my middle finger and fourth finger, which are not nails I would normally expect to break. I was really disappointed because I had only had the set for about a week. I went back today for my 1:00 appointment to get them fixed. It was already 1:30 and she still hadn't taken me, so I was just sitting there waiting. I had a lot of things to do today, so I was already frustrated that my time wasn't being respected. When she finally worked on my nails, she again ripped off what was left of the Gel-X on the broken nails. I had also heard from other people that she does the same thing. She asked what color I used, and I told her I honestly didn't remember the number because it had been a week. She said she remembered it, so I thanked her. While fixing them, she was again somewhat aggressive when filing. She pulled my hand, not super hard, but just a little aggressively. When I was finished, the man at the front said, "Are you happy now?" in a way that came across as passive-aggressive. It wasn't that I expected everything to be perfect. My issue was the way everything was handled, from ripping off my old Gel-X and the attitude about the length, to the short curing times, aggressive filing, two nails breaking after only a week, waiting 30 minutes past my appointment, and the way I was spoken to afterward. Overall, I'm really disappointed with my experience and personally would not go back. If you're a regular and have had a good experience, maybe it's different, but as a first-time customer, I did not feel like my time, comfort, or concerns were respected. I highly recommend Nature's Nails, especially Brian. I've always had a much better experience with him, which is why I normally go there. I only tried Fancy Nails because Brian was out of town, and after this experience, I definitely wish I had just waited for him. read more

I would never come back here. I called ahead and was told to come in at 4:15 for a manicure. When I walked in, it was immediately obvious they were completely overwhelmed. There were only two people working, they were already in the middle of other services, and multiple clients were waiting. Right before me, another customer was upset because she came in to have a recently done nail fixed and they refused to help her, telling her to come back hours later. I should have walked out. Instead, they still took me even though they clearly did not have the time or staff to properly do my nails. My manicure took literally 8 MINUTES and was the worst manicure I've ever had. The shaping is uneven, the nails are crooked, and the whole thing was rushed and sloppy. If you're overbooked, just say no instead of squeezing people in and sending them out with terrible work. I entered for an emergency removal as my gel-x was more or less all lifting. I was seated relatively quickly, with little notice. The set up weren't particularly comfortable due to the spacing in between the chair and table, making me slouch, though it would not be a big issue for someone who was of regular height. The quality itself was ok. I got blue hard gel, and they missed multiple corners on my fingers. It started chipping on the third day. They are quick and get the job done, however. It was the most efficient removal and filing by far. In total, it came out to be around 60$ including removal, though the pricing quote was different from the original. It is reasonable, though it could have been more clear up front. Overall it is not a bad spot for nails; especially for anything quick, last-second, and affordable. read more

This review is for the pedicure. I read nice reviews about the pedicure so I was excited to try it out. However, this is probably one of the worst pedicures I've ever experienced. First, they kept pushing for add-ons when I tried to opt in for a basic pedicure, so I gave in. That was a big mistake since it basically felt like a basic pedicure. The massage was only about two minutes and I felt rushed throughout the process. I was disappointed since the massage is definitely my favorite part of a pedicure so that was a bummer. Paint job was super thick and uneven. I also worry about the cleanliness of the place since they used a cheese grater for my heels so that definitely turned me off. Additionally, I saw some ants by the cash register so I hope they get that checked out. Not sure how it is for manicures but definitely think twice about getting pedicures here. read more

This place was a huge disappointment. My sister and I came in for pedicures, and from the start, the staff kept pushing unnecessary add-ons. Even worse, they ended up charging us for services we had specifically declined. My sister chose a pedicure that, according to their flyer, included a 10-minute massage. Partway through, she was told the massage would cost an extra $10. When she questioned it, they claimed she had requested a callus removal instead -- something she never mentioned. By that point, it was clear we weren't happy, and we could see the staff talking about us in front of us, which felt extremely unprofessional. When it came time for my own massage, it was rushed and poorly done. The worst part, though, was how rude and dismissive they were throughout the experience. I would absolutely not recommend this place. Save your time and money and go somewhere that treats customers with respect. read more

She helped me make a plan to rebuild my nails after a nearby salon filed the nail bed down too deep and cut into my skin. I came in with sawed nubs and left an hour later with gorgeous gel-x nails. Aw man. This place was Icarus and flew too close to the sun and got burned. Literally. I made an appointment for a new set and came in and they were super crowded. John came over and he seemed so rushed! When he was removing my old set he burned my fingers around 5 times (the sanding tool got so hot!!!) that I yelped in pain and had to pull my hand away several times. He seemed stressed and didn't speak much and went through the motions but was nowhere near as thorough as first time. I'm not sure if the salon was overbooking him or if it was by his request, but going so fast and rushing customers treatments and services is not good for the nail technicians or the customers. I finally found a place that properly cuts my cuticles and paints my natural nails close to the cuticles. The nail tech was Detail oriented , super clean, so nice , and offered me a coffee while I waited. They have meters and free street parking on side streets for 2 hours till 6pm.
