Updated prices

Convenient location in Sawtelle, pretty good prices, but the price raised from the other menu photos on Yelp fyi. I needed a simple plain pedicure, it costed $20, the total costs an extra dollar if you use card. The nail tech was kind and did a good job. There wasn't too much hospitality otherwise.

I thought this place was only ok but because the prices are cheaper than others in the area, I bumped it to 4 stars. I walked in around 3pm and got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure ($46). I was seen immediately and given a box of colors to choose from. One lady did my hands while another did my feet (wish I asked for their names!). They were fast and efficient. We didn't speak much to each other, which was totally fine! It took about an hour. I paid via credit card and left. This place is no frills, and their prices accordingly match it. Don't come here if you're looking for a super luxurious, personable, and relaxing experience, but if you just want your nails to look good and to be in and out, this is the place for you.

Left glue on skin

The staff is great owner is very unwelcoming and after coming here for 15 years I was treated so poorly today we're Victoria refused to service me any further and told me I wasn't welcome back all because my nail had bumps in the gel x process. This was due to the staff not allowing me to wash my hands after buffing my nails and filling. This is no way to be treated , very disappointed won't be coming back Do not wax here the owner double dips the sticks after it touched your skin . Very illegal I always see the owner and manager pouring acetone to the nail Polish which is actually very toxic. They do this so that your nail chips quickly and you return. The acetone acts as a paint thinner. Do your research guys

2 days after gel mani

I got a gel manicure on 7/12 and this is what it looks like today, 7/14. I have been on a business trip so I've done no housework, barely been on my computer, etc. so I've arguably put less wear on them than usual. The manicure itself was very rushed and two cuticles were also completely bloodied on day one. On the other hand, I've had a couple good manicures here in the past too so moral of the story, the place is very hit or miss. If you do come here, my advice is to make note of a nail tech you like and only ask for that person and definitely make note of who you DON'T like and make sure you don't get that person.

Queen Nails has been a Westside gem for years. I don't know why it took me so long to get here! My friend has been a long-time customer and brought me one day. It's easy to make an appointment. They take you on time. No waiting! And the ladies always do a fantastic job. Mia and Tina, especially! Prices are reasonable, the salon is clean and they have quite a selection of gel colors. I can see why they always have a steady stream of clients!

Gel-X new set - it's a perfect Winter Wonderland!
Manager L.

I took Mom in today for our regular bi-weekly visit, but there was nothing "ordinary" about my nails today! I had a BIG request for Cindy. A client of mine came in with Insta-gorgeous nails and I wanted a new set of Gel-X in the same style. She professionally and gently removed my acrylics (while I was getting my great gel pedi in the spa chair) and then she proceeded to create the most stunning Winter Wonderland look ever! Even though the salon was super busy, every single nail artist was patient and kind towards all their clients, whether they were walk-ins or long time repeat customers. Thank you ladies!

Regular mani

I've been searching for a solid regular manicure in LA for so long and this is the one! Quick, cheap, kind, in a fun location. Make sure to support by paying in cash-- credit cards and Venmo have fees so pay cash if you're able! My mani pedi is perfect and was $30!

Cindy did an amazing job with my gel x I showed her a picture of what I wanted and committed to making sure I was happy and it looked just like the picture thank you Cindy

Manicure (Regular Nail Polish)

I came here as a walk in and Kim did my pedicure and prepped my finger nails for my manicure. Kim was a delight! She was talking to me about her sons and was being overall very friendly. I loved her energy and I definitely felt welcomed by her. She did amazing. I loved my experience here. Regular Manicure and Pedicure was around $37 cash not including tip but $38 if paying with card. I heard one of them tell me that Gel Manicure and regular Pedicure was $50 something. And if I wanted Gel Mani & Gel Pedi it would've been $70 something. I got the regular mani and pedi but it looks amazing! :)

Regular nail polish

They do a great job with nails here. I've been coming here for the last 5 months or so, and i've been pleased every time--sometimes even shocked with how long the polish lasts on my nails. They do non-spa pedicures at these tables as well for a cheaper price and still the same quality. They put in a plastic covering for all pedicures, great for being sanitary! You can get a color change for $7, a manicure for $12, and a mani-pedi for $23. It's a steal in terms of getting your nails done for the quality they do. I use regular nail polish and it lasts usually about a full week without chipping at all (and I am very active). They use a gel top coat to finish it off without the UV radiation for drying it, which I think helps with not chipping. It is a pretty small nail salon, and not super clean given the building is older. They have 4 spa style seats and then 8-10ish tables for manicures. If you can go during the "working day" it is not busy, but after about 5pm or on the weekend it can be busy and there may be a 20 minute wait. I recommend calling and making an appointment ahead of time if you are going during busier hours. WAXING: They do have a room in the back for waxing. Very affordable pricing especially if you compare it to the specialized wax studios, it can be 50% less here, and they do a good job. Underarms are $10, and the tweeze anything left over. PARKING: There is metered parking out front and on the side street. There is also a public lot behind the salon that charges $1/hour. If you drive further down the side street there is free 2 hour parking by the apartments; however, read the signs because there is street sweeping somedays of the week. The employees are really sweet and if your meter is running out, they will go put money in for you!

Acrylic fill with gel polish -- pretty much identical to the reference photo :)

The salon itself is clean, relaxing, and has such a calm, welcoming vibe -- you can actually unwind instead of feeling rushed or herded through like an assembly line. Everything felt intentional and well-kept. And Grace... she is THAT girl. Her attention to detail is unreal. She took her time, made sure everything was shaped perfectly, and didn't cut corners at all. You can tell she really cares about her work and takes pride in what she does. My nails came out flawless -- clean, precise, and exactly what I wanted (honestly even better). On top of that, she's so sweet and easy to talk to, which just makes the whole experience even better. It didn't feel transactional, it felt like being taken care of. If you're booking here, ask for Grace -- she's the one. I'll definitely be coming back! :)

I reached out to the salon about the issue, but they didn't offer any solution and the attitude was quite rude. It honestly felt like they just didn't care. Very frustrating experience. Most gel nail places are way too harsh in your nails, and I was looking for a more non-toxic approach. I am not a fan of the soak off removal approach, as my nails become brittle. I was also looking for a salon that didn't do acrylics because of the smell because I was pregnant then. I am happy to say I am a regular, both Kazumi and Aiko are wonderful. My nails have never been healthier and I often get people commenting on the designs. They are super fast and do such great designs, anything you can think of or if you have examples they are very skilled. Their prices are very reasonable for the west side for the quality you get. There is also a small parking lot that's free, another positive for WLA. The inside is super cute and clean, Kazumi has many cute plants and crystals, you will feel relaxed.

The way she works is very zen-like. She keeps her tools very neatly in one place, she is very resourceful, she is very quiet and smooth with her movements. She took extra time to make sure my nail art was good as it can be. The reason why I give 3 stars is because although she is very talented, she lacks in basic nail skills. Initially I was very happy with my white ombré nails but I noticed my cuticles weren't as smooth as they typically would have been if I had gone to my usual spot. I remember noticing that my cuticles weren't cut and Kazumi told me that cutting cuticles would dry them out more. Sadly, as the day went on I was stressing out and the next day I had to get my cuticles fixed right before of my wedding at another salon. The technician actually told me that my nails "looked terrible." I am sure Kazumi gives great work to other clients, but I was disappointed and I don't know if I will come back. My cuticles aren't always in the best shape (I'm a healthcare worker) but I expect at least they would've been cleaned up better considering the $50+ I spent and the fact that my nails were going to be photographed up close for my wedding.

I came in today 1.5 hour earlier than my appointment. Angie greeted me as always, so friendly while navigating a busy room. Professional and efficient. She checked to see if the ladies could take me early and they could. Next I HAVE to give Lisa her flowers. So I have been coming here for YEARS and though I am not picky about who does the pedicure service, I want someone that hears me and is gentle. I have ankle and some joint issues and in the past (not necessarily here), I have had people move my feet and ankles in position that are painful because they feel more comfortable if my feet are in a certain position. Then when I have to move it to be comfortable they get upset with me. What I love about Lisa is she is gentle. If I am uncomfortable she tries her best to work with the fact my foot might be tilted a bit and makes it work. She is detailed and listens to the shape and requests I might have. She is so sweet and I love having her do my nails. I know I dont talk much when I am there but I REALLY appreciate the women who do my nails and the care they take.
