I just accepted them and left because it was late and I didn't feel like arguing, but I had come back to this salon on purpose after they'd done a great job last time and was beyond disappointed. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!! i went last week and I didn't even got what i asked for. It was the wrong color. The lady kept on cutting me with her tools!! I have scars all around my fingers. Very pricey then what it shows so it's an absolute scam, as well as waste of my time because they already started coming off. I'm pleasantly surprised I found a great nail salon to go to in the Westwood area. I got a gel manicure by Vivian and she was great. She took her time and had a great paint job. There is a piece of lint under the paint on one of my nails but besides that, no issues. I like to keep my nails shorts because of my active lifestyle and I had cut them myself. It was uneven and round. I asked Vivian for a more squared out oval and it looked so much better than I thought. 30 bucks for a gel manicure? I thought that was more than fair. They don't rush you to get to another customer which is very important for me. Great color selection. They do take card but with all beauty services I always recommend bringing cash for the service AND tip. You walk away with your nails done but the business doesn't see the money until a while. I walked in without an appointment for a simple pedicure without polish and Tracy did a really fine job. I will be back for sure! The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant but when I entered there was a very strong chemical smell of nail polish remover. There are a lot of other nail salons local so I'd recommend just going to those unless you have a specific nail tech you prefer. Thank god I walked in and Tina was available, since she is very popular there. She knew exactly how to shape my nails the way I liked them and painted them flawlessly. I usually always get gel, but hers lasted me a week longer than they usually last for me. I went back yesterday and Tina did a flawless job once again! The salon is under new management! I have been seeing Tina for the past 12 years and I don't trust anyone with my nails and waxing needs more than her! I would follow her wherever she goes, but thankfully she is now managing the shop. I'm so happy that she now has her own beautiful shop and her talents will now be seen by a new clientele! Trust me, run, don't walk to see her and her talented group of women. For your nails, of course see Tina, after that you have the very talented Michelle and Celine who are also amazing! I called ahead of time to confirm they could remove my gel x nails if I came in that day, and they confirmed that they had time and were able to remove them. As soon as i sat down they tried to stick an acrylic nail between my natural nail and what I wanted removed (ouch). I asked them if they could soak the nails and they insisted they pry them off with an acrylic nail because "it'd be faster". After trying (and failing) a few more times I told them it hurt and asked again for them to soak them. They refused and insisted they'd be gentle. After failing a few more times, they finally realized they wouldn't be able to get them off without soaking them (as I said in the first place) and they came off much easier and gentler that way. I still left the salon with a layer of gel on a few nails (and a few cuts) but at least they got removed I guess. read more

The nail salon lady who pedicured was very nice BUT the receptionist needs to brush up on being welcoming, accommodating and learn to show appreciation for their clients. She needs to read and brush up on client protocols. Even uneducated people can still learn how to welcome clients. I am upset to even write this review, but after being a loyal client at this nail salon for over 15 years... the new ownership change has basically forced me to. The new ownership handles customers poorly. They are rude, disrespectful, pretend like they are doing YOU a favor to do your nails, and have horrible time management (they do no respect appt times- I have waited 30min-1 hr for my scheduled appt). On top of taking me an hour late, I was ridiculed for asking for 25 cents for my meter (which the old ownership happily did). I found it disrespectful and cheap. When I asked my nail lady to please fill my meter- she was angry that i had her walk outside and said "why should I pay for your meter." Mind you, she took me over an hour late. Had she not taken me late, my meter would not have ran out. It was embarrassing to say the least. It saddens me to write this review, as this place was my nail salon for so long. Yet i am not the only loyal returning customer who feels this way about the new ownership and management. The only remaining employees that save the salon are Kim, Vivian, Celine and Louis If you must go (only request them). Find another nail salon in Westwood. There are plenty. read more

The staff here are helpful but arent very good at their jobs. My nails were first undershaped and when I asked them to reshape them, they were overshaped. Also, the flesh around my nails hurts really bad and are on the verge of bleeding after the service. They overtrimmed the skin and were really rough on filing. I walked in today to get my nails done. It's my 4th time coming to this place( by the way I didn't mind waiting but this time it was different) It took one hour to get my pedicure done I was moved to the table after it was done to get my gel manicure I sat there waiting for my turn while other people that have appointment go first. I went to use the ladies room when I went back the manicurist that was setting the table to start working on my nails left and started working on another customer without explaining to me what's happening or apologizing and still I sat down and waited for about 15 min waiting for her to say something. Very disrespectful I was very frustrated. I had to leave without getting my gel manicure done. They always very busy and overbooked have few employees that are hassling and running g around jumping from one customer to another. They are not very organized or efficient. They should tell customers that they only take appointment or explain that if you don't have an appointment it will take up to 2 hrs to get your nails done..... The employees are very nice and do great job but they are always rushing between customers( god knows if they have time to clean the material they are using) the owner/manager is not friendly or welcoming person. They should have at least offered me water or apologize for the wait. Being courteous is important. We are supposed to relax and get pampered while getting the nails done not frustrated ( it cost money, it's not free) I will not go back again. read more
