My family decided to celebrate my cousin's birthday at Crazy Crab, and this birthday will be one to remember(I don't mean this in a good way). My goodness where to be begin? 3 people out of our party of 7 didn't receive some of the food they ordered. We had to tell the server we haven't receive our French Fries and Hush Puppies. After the 4th time of her checking and still not receiving our French Fries we told her to just take it off the order. The birthday girl ordered Crab Legs and headless Shrimp and when it arrived to the table the food was extremely cold. Made us think her food had been sitting out for a long time. She sent it back and they give her a new hot dish. Here is where things turned for the worst. I DO NOT eat pork, it's against my religion. I ordered Crab legs and headless shrimps WITHOUT the pork sausages. Well when my food arrived guess what was cooked in my food? That's right the pork sausages. BTW before I ordered I told the waitress that I do not eat pork! She apologized and took it back and told me a new dish would be made for me without the pork. Within 5 minutes I had my food which appeared to not have pork sausages in it. As I'm eating my food and get towards the bottom(as you can see in the pictures I posted) there were pork sausages on my plate. To me I feel as if they just took the pork sausages out without making me a new plate and served it back to me. I was livid because again I DO NOT EAT PORK. I immediately notified the waitress and she apologized and said for our mistake we will give you a 5% discount. I felt so disrespected because again I DO NOT EAT PORK, and I was given pork not once but TWICE. I asked for the manager and the original response I was given is that he is too busy to talk to you. Again y'all served pork to a non pork eater and now your manager is too busy to speak with me. The waitress finally tells me she can take off the shrimp but not the crab legs. Again this was not acceptable to me because I have now had pork. I expected more than just the original 5% discount which turned into we will take the crab legs off which finally turned into getting my whole meal for free. After arguing with the waitress her manager finally made time for me. He originally didn't even seem like he cared that I was given pork. He made excuses saying it was human error(how can you make the same mistake twice in a row) and that there was nothing he could do. I asked to speak with his boss because the manager was not helping the situation. He goes he is in the hospital and he is the the only one who can take your food off the bill. Then proceed to tell me some story about how his boss doesn't eat pork either. News flash Mr. Manager, what does that story have to do with solving my current problem. After arguing with him he finally told me since I'm so unhappy he will take the meal off the menu. But I thought you didn't have the power to do so??? Clearly I was being lied too. Clearly he didn't care that I was served pork not only once but twice. Then they thought giving a 5% discount would make up for the mistake. I WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. Let's not forget to mention shorty after leaving I felt sick to my stomach. I ended up being sick and throwing up. Also this going back and forth took about 20-30 minutes. When your costumer has a food allergy, doesn't eat meat, or etc the restaurant so be mindful of that when they are notified and make sure they do not serve those items to their customers. This place was awesome!! We met some friends here as our last birthday get together (Hubby and I have back to back birth dates). We had driven by here a couple of times and with a memorable name when asked where we might be thinking for this last birthday dinner I suggested Crazy Crab and I am so very glad I did. They were great about bringing out such yummy eats. When you go with the group table service you pick some appetizers, some sides, and some main dishes. As they deplete you order additional servings of your options from the list. They are great about bringing lots of seasoning, sauces, and crackers. They were also great about providing a waste container and removing them as they fill-up. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that a bottomless beverage comes with the meal. We enjoyed the hushpuppies, fried claim strips, crab balls as well as crab legs, scallops, clams, shrimp, and the sashimi. One of our friends took this as an opportunity to introduce us to crawfish and I am glad that she did, don't imagine I could have had a better introduction. The food was enjoyable and the staff was wonderful. When they come out for the birthday music is played over the stereo system and they bring an ice cream with a sparkler. It was pretty awesome and memorable. This is a great place for a birthday celebration and someplace I will be sure to take others for their special days. Fair warning this place is in a little strip mall and parking is challenging, I rode around 15-20 minutes waiting for a spot to become available. Once inside, it was jam packed on a Saturday around 6ish, I believe the wait was roughly 3 hours....... luckily I was a part of a party of 12 that had a reservation, although the reservation was apparently lost, the manager did attempt to accommodate us. The all-you-can-eat menu can be overwhelming and confusing and with a large party it can be difficult to agree. This used to be my favorite restaurant at Nova. I was so disappointed I went out of my way to get on yelp and leave a review. They recently raised the price but the quality keeps getting worse. I kept giving them a chance hoping it'll be better but I'm not sure if I'll be back anymore. Most of the crawfish was black and inedible and the crabs were small. Not sure what happened tonight because it wasn't even that busy but the service was the worst I've ever had. The places can get packed so you may want to schedule a reservation unless you know when their best down time hours are. We had to wait 30 min. I made my own seafood combo of 1/2 of clams, 1/2 crawfish, and 1lb of blue crab. This was filling for me, and I felt I paid a reasonable price for the amount I received. Keep in mind, you get sausage and corn and as a side for each combo item. My belly was satisfied. I was able to bring left over to my husband. This honestly left me full for the rest of the day. I eat spicy, normally i order the most spicy sauce on side that its never been too spicy for me until this time but thats a great flavour i love that. This time i have $25 deal all you can eat and i ordered scallop $20/ lb as an extra and i think its worth the price. Service is good but not so great. However, $45 for dinner option i think its quite high. Think about someone who bring kid and they have to pay for their kid who barely eat food (my friend told me that she brought her son, probably 2 years old but she has to pay for him and thats not worth money at all compared with quantity he ate) but overall is good and whenever i crave for seafood, here is the first place now that i think of.
