The crawfish is not worth the judgment and terrible service. I use to love this place. Our whole family use to come here. I will no longer support this place or any establishment that turns me away because the clothes I'm wearing, especially when I am covered and the lady which is Dan's wife- Dan is the owner... she was extremely rude. This place is a joke! Customer service is terrible they judged me because I have big boobs/am a busty lady and the lady (Dan's rude wife) at the front tried to tell me they have a dress code I'm wearing a halter top and my top is in line their dress code. The dress code states no swimsuits, no see through shirts and a couple other things. What does my age have to do with anything? I'm actually a grown adult. I'm 27... your response is complete bs and yes you can implement your own rules but you clearly are a jealous insecure women Bc I was dressed very decently and there was other women who don't have as big of breast with cleavage who werent turned away. I saw and heard the situation Bc I was there. I read your sign. And told you I am in line with the dress code and I said this is not see through nor a bathing suit top it is a halter top. Your response was snobby and judgmental you said "well it looks like one" (assuming you were referring that my top looked like a bathing suit top when it does not) I am also wearing pants. Imagine being a women who owns a business that doesn't support other women and turns people away based on their own insecurities. Image making a young women feel bad Bc she couldn't take her family to have food at a place they use to love Bc the owners are complete shit. Y'all have so many reviews abt how bad y'all management suck. Apparently the rest of y'all staff is nice except for Jennifer and Dan. read more

NOT WORTH IT - WORST CRAWFISH I EVER HAD 2 hours in line for this. the guy who took my order , didn't told me that mild means that the crawfish is just boiled in water. I find out until the cashier told me, even tho I told them both it was my first time and for me mild means just not spicy but you expect some seasoning. I told her when I was paying I didn't wanted if is just boiled it and she keep saying "you will be fine " in rude way. This crawfish are LITERALLY the most smallest tales I have ever seen. Not worth the drive, the wait. It doesn't even taste anything. Gumbo was okei. I spend 55 dollars for pretty much awful food. Don't waste your money read more

The BEST crawfish hands down. We have been coming here for years, since they opened. Returning customers because the crawfish is the best and the staff/service is always amazing. We always look forward to crawfish season because this is where we know we won't be disappointed. There is always a line, but it's worth the wait. Friendly atmosphere and BYOB. It does get hot towards the end of the season, so I recommend bringing one of those little portable battery powered table fans if you're going in May. Other than that, enjoy! read more

If you're willing to wait then giving them a try. We have picked up and ate there. I'm not much of a crawfish person, but their shrimp, mushrooms, red beans and rice are my favorite. They also have kids meal for little ones. Shrimp are big and juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. Oh, and their potato's big, soft and melt in your mouth once dipped in butter. The other great thing is you can bring your own drinks (gas station across the street). Again, this place is great if you don't mind the wait! read more

I went to Crawsby, Texas for crawfish, y'all. My dearest cousin lives in this neck of the country woods, and for the past year or so, I've taken notice of the Crawfish Shack each time I've driven passed its dirt parking lot filled with jacked-up pickups and Harleys. And when I heard it was BYOB, I was on a mission to make a day of it here. Foodies, critics and bloggers across the city - along with fellow crawfish crazies - should take note of what I'm about to say: Come here. Come here now. Hurricane Katrina and then Ike haulted the availability of mudbugs, thus, the high price for these critters about the size of one's thumb. But Crawfish Shack appears to have found a steroid solution -- or so it seems. Imagine crawdads the size of your iPhone. Or your entire hand. And claws worth cracking into. Unheard of. And each and every -- I repeat: each and every -- bug was this size. No weaklings. No babies. They were piping hot, dripping with juice and seasoning. You can also buy live crawfish, for those who prefer to season to their own liking at home; or order it ready-to-go for a stress-free, crawfish boil fiesta in the backyard as we did. Sixty pounds to be exact. So there you have it. Spread the word. Get here early. And don't forget the beer. read more

You get the whole experience at the Shack. Amazing crawfish (large sized, perfectly cooked, nice and spicy, with a variety of dipping sauces beyond basic butter). Fun, casual seating (picnic tables, bring your own cooler of beer, huge open space). The staff is great if your a first timer, or if you're a known crawfish lover looking for something new (my waitress recommended her favorite dip 'red sauce', which was a bit of cooking liquid, lemon juice and the dry seasoning - so tart and spicy!) I've seen the wait lines in pictures but I always get there early and do not have to wait very long, if at all. I do not feel out of place alone there (business traveler), but it is much more fun with friends! read more

First off the place gives prejudice, they don't accommodate babies in a stroller they won't allow you to sit with your party they'll make you sit on the complete opposite side of your party. They also have a confederate FLAG. I wouldn't recommend driving 40 min out and have a bad experience like we experienced. Crawfish is also very average you can find better in the city. read more

Medium, hot or spicy? How do you like your crawfish? How about some snow crab legs? Corn, boiled shrimp, sausage & potatoes? Want beer? You can byob. Pricing is the going market rate. Today 05/12/18 it's $6,95 per pound. If you get 20 pounds or more $5.95 a pound. * $5.95 for each additional pound after that. The crawfish were large not jumbo. They were a perfect size. They have good parking. Their parking lot fills up fast. Diverse crowd. Lots of families enjoying crawfish, shrimp, snow crab legs, sausage, corn & potatoes. . Make sure you get their garlic infused butter dip. Yoooooooooooo...It is fantastic. It's garlic infused butter. It sets off whatever you dip into it. That garlic infused butter dripping elixir is heaven. Don't think about it. Just say yes when the server asks if you want it. This place is great for groups. The food and service was top notch. The food came out the kitchen in a decent amount of time. Overall I loved it. Their crawfish, snow crab legs, were the bomb diggity. It's a drive out here down 90 from where i normally roam. I am very disappointed with this place I have heard many good things about it in the past and I was excited to come try it out. My experience did not match my expectations and you all let me down! I would not recommend this place to anyone I am very big on customer services and the energy it brings to the restaurant.. I ordered the spicy 2 pounds of crawfish and boiled shrimp. The shrimp was not boiled it seemed to be steamed only thing was great about the shrimp was the flavor was fully thru .. not the same for the crawfish! It was seasoned on the outside but NOT THE INSIDE.. i had to use extra seasoning! Plus they were the small shrimp that is used for a po boy sandwich .. That is not BOILED SHRIMP! My 2 pounds of crawfish definitely looked on the smaller size portion .. If you are a sauce person !!! Listen up !!!!!! THEY HAVE A DIPPING SAUCE THAT IS NOT GOOD ! It is sweet! Yuck! We wanted Mayo and ketchup but the server insisted on getting us their sauce . She stated word by word "if you don't like the sauce we have we can take it back". That is not True! We tried it and didn't like it .. ask her if she could just bring the Mayo and and ketchup bowl and spoon .. not knowing that we were then charged for the condiments packets (Mayo and ketchup) without being told prior to asking for them , that we would be charged . As we received the bill we see we had additional prices added on the bill . Spoke to server and she mention that the manger told her to charge us for the packets as a dip sauce.. when the equivalence of the cup of sauce and the packets def don't add up ! I asked to the speak to the Manager .. and tbh the energy and the Careless I received from the manager was a very uncomfortable one ! He gave me a BS excuses and just horrible customer service from him ALONE !! I am willing to pay any amount for great food and tip exceptionally well for wonderful customer service ( which I still left a tip for our server ) but I do not enjoy being charged hidden fees regardless of how much extra the cost is ) You never know who someone is when they enter your establishment .. so you should treat everyone fairly read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. First , we came here for my sisters in law's birthday. She gave them the amount of people in our party and we thought when the table was ready we could be seated. It took me and my boyfriend 20 minutes just to find a parking spot while they were at the front waiting to be seated. Once we finally found a parking spot and attempted to enter into Crawfish Shack a blonde woman which I believe was the manager came at us full charge and told us how we had to go back out and put our name on the list , there wasn't enough room for us (which there defines was room) and "she won't allow for us to skip her line" but we never knew that we were skipping we knew that we were included in the count. That was a huge slap in the face considering we drove an hour just to eat here. Due to the disrespect all 14 of us left and they quickly came back and sat us at the SAME exact table she claimed there wasn't enough room. Okay ? Second , the crawfish was mediocre , the red beans and rice tasted like it was from popeyes and the gumbo was tasteless! The waitress would give us our spoons , forks and just place them on the table bare. I know some people can just be Ugly and rude and I don't like to always say it's because the color of someone's skin but honestly here I think that was the reason. Im not the most pickiest person , and I don't leave reviews but this experience was horrific. If you are from Houston do NOT come here ... there are so many other places to visit that has better crawfish , a competent staff and non prejudice ways. read more

Crawfish Shack - Cajun/Creole Near Me - Crosby, Texas

Many have given this place rave reviews, which enticed me to try it. However, I was extremely underwhelmed by the crawfish. Yes, they were HUGE! And, yes they had some flavor. But, with a name like the "Crawfish Hut", they should have stood out in my mind as some of the best. Well, they didn't. I ordered 3 pounds of the medium spice level. They were not spicy at all. I, also, ordered the red beans & rice, which was YUMMY! As a matter of fact, this dish was better than the crawfish. I ordered the sweet tea, which was good, as well. Overall, I would definitely recommend the place for the ambiance! It's a great place to casually hang out alone or with friends/family. However, I am not a fan of the crawfish. read more
