Almost 20 years later and now married, I wanted to bring my husband here and share this experience. Of course, we both had a great time. The atmosphere, the service, the food. Again, all wonderful! Parking is in the garage, and they validate. We got the Torched Salmon Belly (be sure to eat the leaf it comes on! it's part of the experience). Delicious! 10/10 would get again, mostly because the Shiso leaf was something I've never had before. The Grilled Octopus was wonderful and not chewy at all. Loved the Greek lemon caper pepperoncini vinaigrette that came with it. I read that a lot of others were recommending the Deviled Eggs, which we also got and enjoyed. I think one set was salmon and the other was tuna. You honestly cant go wrong with either. I feel like getting the Coconut Creme Pie is a must here. I love coconut, and oddly enough really dislike pies, so this wouldn't be something I would normally get. But with a presentation like this, how can you pass it up? I do remember getting this back in 2008 and loving it, and it seems my tastebuds haven't changed. 10/10! Get this! But only if you love coconut.

We were…read morespecifically looking for some seafood to round out our first night in the Seattle area, and Seastar was both the most convenient and the one with reservations available. For two, we got a few appetizers (ahi tuna poke, crab cakes, raw oysters) and an entree to split (Jambalaya). Service was very attentive, checking in after each meal and even pre-splitting the entree which was great. Overall though, the appetizers failed to impress. The highlights of this meal were probably the raw oysters followed by the Jambalaya, which meant the rest of the meal left something to be desired. 3/5 stars for the average meal but +1 star for service.

You get a full whole fish packed with flavor, plus your choice of add-in proteins and veggies. Because I was dining with friends with lower spice tolerances, we went with the lowest spice level and it was still incredible. I'm definitely coming back to try the spiciest level next! * Dan Dan Noodles: Nailed the exact flavor profile I look for--properly spicy and numbing (ma la) rather than being washed out by overly sweet peanut paste. Cant say it's the best dan dan noodle that I've had but loved that it wasn't too sweet. * Smashed Eggplant with Century Egg: I was so hyped to see one of my all-time favorite dishes on the menu! Rich, savory, and delicious. My only wish is that it included a few blistered hot peppers for an extra spicy kick, but it's still a must-order. * Lucky Beef Trio: Solid, savory, and very well executed. Pro-Tip: The flexible spice scale makes this spot ideal for group dining, even if half your table can't handle high heat! - though it's best to go with friends that has similar spice tolerance to have the most satisfaction

There's more parking behind the plaza where Young Tea is located. Upon entering the restaurant, it was already packed so we had to put our name on the waitlist. After about 20 minutes, we got seated nearby the window. The restaurant did not look too big from the outside but it was spacious when you walk inside. Restaurant had nice Chinese art decors and red painted walls. Our waitress instructed us to scan the menu QR code and order from our phone. Looking at the extensive menu, here are some items we ordered: Sweet and sour pork ribs: Thought this was pretty good. It was sweet and tendered. A good alternative dish if you can't handle spicy food. Dry pot tofu sheets: This was one of our favorites. It is a recommended dish to try when dining here. This dish was spicy and flavorful with lots of spicy peppers and peppercorn. A very numbing dish that requires you to eat with rice. They place the pot on top of an open flame for you to enjoy. A must try item! Dan Dan noodles: I like this way better than DTF. It was flavorful and spicy but a bit salty. Chili oil dumplings: The dumplings were soft and silky, which made the dish very soupy. It wasn't too spicy which was great considered that there were too many spicy items already ordered. Overall, a solid restaurant to try. It was our first time trying Hunan/Sichuan cuisine and it did not disappoint! If your palate can handle spicy, then this place is a must try. I will for sure come back and try their other dishes. Just expect to wait for a bit since it can get busy.

The host was very quiet and although I didn't hear him, luckily my daughter did. I asked for a five star curry with Salmon, but they informed me that they could only do three stars so ordered the three star curry, a side of spicy sauce and rice. My daughter ordered the Phad See Eiw with tofu. The server delivered the wrong noodle dish, I immediately said that it wasn't what we ordered; she ignored me, dropped it off and left for the next table where they informed her that she had swapped the dishes. The salmon was quite good, seared and crispy around the edges. The curry wasn't spicy at all, so I had to add the full side of spicy sauce. The spicy sauce made it spicy enough, but it was sour. I tried to explain this to the server; instead of hearing me out she immediately brought more spicy sauce. Finally I was able to get them to cook the curry with the spicy sauce making it less sour and the flavor was good. The rice was definitely insufficient for the amount of curry ordered, which I found strange given how cheap rice is. I tried my daughters noodles. They use a cheaper oil and added lots of sugar, making it a sub par dish. We also ordered a young coconut, but it wasn't that young and the meat was hard. At $12 for an item that costs $1.50 I was underwhelmed. Overall the dishes were hit and miss, and the service was sub par. Try it at your own risk.

Food however left a little to be desired. The clam chowder was great and for the price point, was a good value. We ordered the chicken wings that came out longer than expected and tasted just ok. A couple of the wings weren't cooked all the way. We opted for the Dungeness crab combo with their signature sauce. The flavor was good but the crab definitely did not taste like it was fresh. Since I was alone, I ordered smaller plates... though the cost ended up being about the same as the stew. I ordered several BBQ items (the mushrooms were disappointingly cold, but the rest were great), the pork belly dish (excellent), and the three vegetable+vermicelli dish (also excellent). The food was overall pretty good; there was enough staff though they kind of required waving down if you needed something. The portions were decent, and I ate ~3 other meals after this with the leftovers I had, which meant the cost would've been about $25/person.
