3rd time to this location,(best) Bellaire is 2nd and the Pearland location comes in last place(food wasn't hot and a little salty) and now we've tried them all! I got my usual Kickin Cajun Crawfish - spicy -so much flavor and it really isn't too spicy! Hubs got the 1lb headless shrimp with Texas Cajun- spicy with garlic butter and they were perfectly cooked. Okra-5/5 very lightly breaded Crawfish eggrolls- meh Wings- Cajun buffalo 5/5 taste like Franks with added Cajun flavors We didn't get it this time but get the red beans and rice- yummmm(better here because it isn't dry like the Bellaire location) service is quick and friendly and the time to come is at lunch or early because they get really busy!

TL;DR: Get ready to get down and dirty! Love the flavors for each of the boils and don't sleep on the corn and mushrooms! Service was quick and attentive :) Was recommended to stop by Crawfish Cafe for some Viet-Cajun vibes and was not disappointed. We ordered several bags of shrimp (unfortunately not crawfish season), corn, mushrooms, and hot links. On the side, we ordered some crab which was fine but the shrimp boils were definitely the star I am mildly allergic to shrimp and this was totally worth the trip to the store across the street to pick up some Benadryl. Cheers, Crawfish Cafe!

Came in to try crawfish for the first time, and expected more flavor. I ordered the crawfish and shrimp mix, with the signature seasoning mix and the spicy heat level. The food I got was barely black pepper spicy. The crawfish itself was okay, but I would rather have 3 or 4 bigger ones than the slaughter of little crawfish I got in the bag. Shrimp was good, but still lacked flavor. It's an experience, and the service is friendly but a little slow. They have a nice patio, and the restaurant is very crowded most of the time. Parking is there, but hard to find. Do not park in other lots, you will get towed. Kroger parking is safe across the street.

The Bellaire location is under renovations right now, so we decided to drive further to give this spot a try. My experience was solid, the service was good the food was exceptional & the restaurant is pretty clean itself. I was craving crawfish & it's my first time having it for 2026. Crawfish is on the smaller side which is understandable since it's January. We went ahead and ordered their lemon pepper wings to start. It was delicious and came out piping hot. Very strong lemon pepper flavor. Then we went ahead and got 6 pounds of their crawfish. Two pounds of "the mix" (lemon pepper & garlic butter), two pounds of "the grail" (garlic butter & Thai basil) and two pounds of "the signature" (garlic butter & kickin Cajun). Got it as spicy. My favorite is the signature since it had the most flavor but the grail had more of a spice kick. All the sauces were buttery & spicy. However, I felt that they should've let the sauce soak into the crawfish a little longer to give the meat more flavor. Corn, potatoes, sausage & egg were cooked just right. Don't get me wrong, I love me a southern sweet tea but the one I received was beyond sweet. So I switched it out for sprite instead. At the end I ordered their gumbo to go. I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't salty just wish there were more sausages in the gumbo. Overall, I'm satisfied. I prefer the Bellaire location since the food is better but the service on Shepherd is way better. Definitely coming back here when I'm around the area.

Food was actually fresh, and the sauce was really good with great service. However, the parking situation completely ruined the experience. Parking here is extremely difficult and poorly managed. There are very limited parking spaces for this restaurant, and it's nearly impossible to find a spots at all. What makes it worse is that cars get towed aggressively even if you are actively dining. I was inside the restaurant, and my car was towed just minutes before I finished my meal. This creates a frustrating and unfair experience for customers. As someone visiting from California, this feels especially unreasonable and excessive. If you plan to dine here, be very careful with parking -- or you may end up paying $300 something in towing fees.

Service was great! Our server was super nice and helpful! The food came very quick and was delicious! The ambiance is nice, there is indoor and outdoor seating options. My only deterrent is the parking. The parking is very limited and tons of construction surrounding this location but otherwise plenty options on their menu and great food

Despite the many culinary accolades Houston has to offer, Viet Cajun is one that is practically exclusive to the city. There are numerous stellar options in this fusion cuisine, but Crawfish Cafe has emerged as one of its best local chains, and besting most, If not all of the options in The Heights. The Chinatown location is the one I've frequented the most, but seeing as it's been closed for renovations, it's been more or less this location of nothing. (#1) The parking has been problematic on their busiest nights, sharing the space with several other eateries, so know this ahead of time during their busy lunch and dinner hour. A wait is likely given no reservations, so finding time for parking might not be so bad. The interior is tight but they've done a decent job at maintaining large and small groups despite how busy it gets. I've only come here in large groups, but the feast is guaranteed every time. When crawfish is in season, there is no better place to be. When it comes to the sauces, I am all for the grail mix, which is garlic butter and Thai basil. The coco loco is an excellent sauce as well, and the kickin Cajun most definitely has a nice kick. Other recommended items are their oysters, garlic noodles, boudin balls, and egg rolls. Overall, the service is good but can be tough during their busiest nights. Prices are going to add up since it's seafood, but the experience almost always is going to be worth it. ____________ (#1) There's always Cypress, but I have yet to go.

This place was packed on a Sunday night, and I can see why it's so popular. The whole city loves crawfish and these heads do it very well. I couldn't really taste the Viet influence though; I'm no crawfish connoisseur and this just tasted like regular old garlic'ed crawfish to me lol. TBH the shrimp is more flavorful and has more meat than the crawfish!

Lunch date with the man and he decided on this place from tiktok. Our waiter was a doll and might I add the mini games on the table paper was a cute time passer even for adults. I ordered a category 5 for a drink, strongest one might i add and it didn't disappoint. Hell didn't even need two. We ordered the crawfish egg rolls to try that came with a sauce, it was pretty okay. Probably wouldn't order again, and the oyster nachos. Only came with four and my old guy looved it. I already don't eat oysters so it was a no for me lol. For entree i ordered 3lbs crawfish in kickin cajun, big and delicious! He got a lb of snow crab, same seasoning and actually preferred a different flavor. All in all, the menu is very extensive so i'd be back to try other things either way lol

loveddd the crawfish egg rolls and lychee cocktail! my catfish po'boy was also decent! i tried crawfish for the first time here, and it was a great experience; however, i am not a fan of crawfish. all of the work with little return on my investment. i am much more of a lobster girl, working smart and not hard! i happened to show up on a sunday and it was PACKED! the wait was about 20-30 mins. the restaurant is big, but because it was packed it felt like it was small. side note, there is a little alleyway from the parking to the restaurant that has such an icky vibe to it!! management totally needs to do something to make this transition from parking lot to dining a better experience for guests... because it smells funny and just has an overall gross factor to it! but.. bonne appétit

Live crawfish in signature blend (garlic butter & Cajun) my go to spice level is medium.

Food & service are always consistently really good everytime we come here. Crawfish is always fresh and purged well and a good size. We've tried a lot of the menu items. Calamari is good, raw oysters are always really fresh anytime we've come here, tried the sweet potato fries today and they were good, Cajun fried rice is a huge portion and there is a lot of protein that comes with it, shrimp & crawfish are always cooked really well. Service wise everyone comes and checks on you, whether it's servers, food runners and all of the managers. We love supporting this place because of how well you guys treat regulars. Easily one of the best viet Cajun spots in houston!

Here you will get standard service. Nothing special that I can note but nothing bad either. The cracklings and cheese, crawfish empanadas, crawfish egg rolls and wings with the Cajun dry rub were all just ok. I probably wouldn't get again as it's not my favorite but my friends really like the egg rolls and wings. The garlic noodles are saucey and actually pretty good. The char grilled oysters are REALLY good. From what I hear this is one of the best you will find in Houston that's closest to Nola style. Sometimes they come out really charred so it's probably best to request to not cook it too long if you like them a little juicy. The Original Cajun and Texas Cajun seasoning are dry seasonings for the boil (no butter and all that extra sauces stuff). This is my preference for eating seafood boils and it was soooo freaking good on the crawfish and crab. The original seasoning is the better flavor hands down but it's just a tad too salty. It the salt can be dialed back a little while keeping the flavor this would be tied with my favorite crawfish in Nola. Can't wait to return

They took my key anyway. $5 valet. We were seated immediately with a reservation for 7. Waters were served and orders were taken. The food came out piping hot. It was quite the extensive menu with many healthy options. The decor was on the glam side. The staff was attentive and friendly. Everyone liked their meals. Portions were grand. I ate all of my food with a short lived thought to take half home. Good food experience but not so much with the valet when the guy yelled at me to pay the $5. They moved my car only for me to see that an older car parked where I was originally parked. Did they really have to move my car?!

And also just seeing other people's food around us! They have a separate brunch menu that some of us ordered from. I ended up ordering the traditional eggs Benedict. The cool thing about their eggs Benedict is that it comes with potatoes or gratin as well as asparagus and mashed butternut squash with a cinnamon sweet crumble on top. Very delicious! My friends all enjoyed their meal and we had a great experience. I also got to try one of the mixed drinks which all of the drinks can be made into mocktails. So overall, while it was pricey, they were able to accommodate a big group pretty well. And the food came out delicious! I already have in mind what I want to order next time.

Honestly, every dish we've ever tried here has been fantastic--it hits exactly the right spots. The Flavor Profile: A quick heads-up for those seeking "authentic" traditional Chinese--this isn't it. This is the Indianized version of Chinese food (Indo-Chinese), so prepare for bold spices and a serious kick. If you grew up loving those specific flavors, Monk's is the gold standard. The Verdict: The heat is on point, the portions are great, and the flavors are nostalgic and bold. It's the kind of meal we look forward to all the way down I-10. Truly a gem for anyone who appreciates the spicy, savory fusion of Desi Chinese!

I walked in and the spices were spicing so much so that I started sneezing. I asked if maybe the dining area was through some door, but no there is no dine in. It's a small space with a register and seats to wait for your order or you can wait in your car. Food: 4/5 Chicken Tikka Masala it was creamy and velvety, I'm not a big fan of tomato but know is a core part of it, which I did distinguish the taste in this order that I haven't usually tasted in others. The garlic naan had good flavor however it was a bit tough and crunchy when biting into it. Which wasn't my favorite, but got the job done to dip into the sauce.

For drinks, I got the Mekhong Mojito and it was sweet and refreshing! For appetizers, we got the crispy squid and the crispy wonton- crispy squid was good but if you had to choose between the two, get the crispy wonton! As for the entree, I ordered the Khao Soi with shrimp and my friend ordered the spicy red snapper. The curry broth with coconut milk was fragrant and with the toppings that came on the side (i.e. lime, onions/shallots, mustard greens, etc) enhanced the dish. The flat egg noodles were bouncy and the shrimp was solid. If you're stuck between choosing a curry dish and a noodle dish, get the best of both worlds and order the Khao Soi! As for my friend's spicy red snapper, I tried a bite and the spices/texture in the dish complimented the fish very well. For dessert, we ordered the classic Mango Sticky Rice! The mango was soft/sweet, the rice and sauce had that salty coconutty flavor. Aside from the delicious food, the interior is cozy and the waiters here were friendly and gave great advice on what to order. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and are craving good thai food!

They have that street food vibe as a well representation of their name, Rim Tanon, which means roadside. With dedicated parking that fills up quick during peak times, it may be difficult to locate parking as it is shared with a few other restaurants and the spaces are quite tight. We tried their appetizers including Salmon Rolls (flavorfully packed with cream cheese, salmon, and spinach in a crispy shell and loving that actually spicy mayo on the side), Thai Style Jerky (deep fried and sun dried marinated pork and beef served with sticky rice rolls and side spicy tamarind sauce, a bit too dry/chewy), Fried Tofu (perfect little triangles, so good by itself or with the side sweet and sour sauce with crushed peanuts), Chive Pancake (deep fried and chive packed triangles with a slight chew to it, great by itself or with it's spicy soy sauce companion). As for the mains, the Spicy Seafood Fried Rice is a good value as it was loaded with all sort of fruits of the sea (shrimp, squid, and mussel), with prominent lemongrass and kaffir lime aroma, but a bit wet or moist for a fried rice dish, the Crabmeat Omelet is served with a nice portion of lump crabmeat where you can taste the flavor of the seafood and add sriracha to liking, and the Beef Pad See Ew is made appetizing with wok charred flat rice noodles along with a savory blend of soy sauce, Chinese broccoli and egg. The portion size is alright and filling for a moderately hungry individual, though it would've been even better a tad bigger for those coming in hangry. I'll be back for more when I'm craving some modern Thai food and especially want to try their curry dishes. Service was quick and efficient, attentive to refills on drinks and friendly!
