Great ice cream, however their customer service skills need improvement…read more On a recent visit to Cals Creamery, I was the next person in line. While the Cal's employee working the counter/register was working on the of the customer before me, the line of people waiting grew over the course of a few minutes. There were now 9 people waiting in line to order. During this time I saw 4 other employees handling other tasks (folding cake boxes, washing containers including an approximately 3 minute conversation between the 4). None of the other employees bothered to help the one (one out of five..) person at the counter and went about their business oblivious to the growing line of waiting customers. It took over 10 min for me to get a pint ice cream. Again, great ice cream, but be prepared for an inordinately long wait to get it..

I would recommend she chill I asked for a kiddie size soft serve, the one with the gel on the outside. She got me a small and tried to charge me, I did call out what I said I ordered and she honoroed it. The kiddie was $7 which seems extremely expensive for a soft service ice cream... By the time I got to eating it from walking out to taking a quick pic it was melty and messy. The pricing is moderate here and they also offer DoorDash delivery. The place is order at the counter and there is table seating along the wall and front windows, plus a gumball machine. I ordered the fan favorite Turkey Apple Cheddar ($12 plus tax) making it Fat Larry-Double Meat (add $2) which was made to order promptly and wrapped to go. The sandwich had plenty of deli sliced roast turkey, cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, apples, mayo, & an onion fig jam between toasted marble rye (my choice of bread). This sandwich was amazing and I will have to also try out their other sandwiches on my next visits to Fat Larry's.

They are allergy friendly. I mentioned a nut allergy and the staff member offered to open a new carton of ice cream to accommodate it, which I thought was very nice. They have every thing from ice cream to soft serve to slush to lattes. They even have homemade cookies and ice cream cakes. There creations are what makes them special - lattes, sundaes, tornadoes, nachos, stackables, etc. This is the only place where I've ever seen flavored soft serve like coffee, creamsicle, and pistachio etc. aside from the regular chocolate and vanilla. Watermelon dole whip aside from the pineapple. They also section to order from outside around the cornee (very easy to miss) and a small seating area next to it. Their ice cream is a bit too sweet for me, but I did enjoy the affogato which was soft serve and coffee. Their coffee tasted surprisingly good, so I will be back to try some of their very creative lattes. We also tried a stackable, which to me is a huge pre-made sundae. It is definitely a lot for one person and price is steeper at around $9-$12, but worth it if you want to share as there are a lot of creative options. I will also come back for some of their different flavored soft serve and the watermelon dole whip!
