    Vanilla Ice Cream

Went to Cravings Ice Cream on June 5 2024 Wednesday I had Vanilla Ice Cream it was Awesome Located at 389 Main Street Wakefield ma

This might just be the new dessert place to go to whenever I'm in Wakefield! Cravings is a cute, spacious shop that sells a variety of sweets ranging from soft-serve to coffee. Its interior is very retro and gives off that old school-esque atmosphere I've only ever seen in movies (or diners). They also offer a variety of candies (such as sour straws, candy cigarettes) as well as fine chocolates and truffles. The service is nice and prompt- the workers greet you the moment you step through the door. There is plenty of seating, ranging from booths to tables. I'm hooked on their mocha soft-serve. The first time we visited, we shared a small cup ($4.50) and that was enough to satisfy our sweet tooths. Its flavor is quite concentrated and its consistency is creamy and smooth. The second time I visited, I had their mochacinno soft-serve, which tasted just like their mocha soft-serve, but upped up a notch, and had vanilla swirls in it. So, so good! I'd definitely recommend either flavor if you're a fan of a strong coffee flavor. :- )

What a joke $5 and the cup isn't even full. I know prices are going up but I mean "really" the profits on ice cream are astronomical and the owner has his own machine. Never again. I'm going to Robertson and get better, cheaper, and more for my hard working $

Great for kids, but unimpressive for this adult. I really just love soft serve chocolate ice cream. Unfortunately they take vanilla ice cream through cocoa powder and blend it up hand you a sloppy cone and it really wasn't very flavorful. I asked the gentleman helping me this evening if he could adjust it as I did not think it very good and he just looked confused and said that how we make it. So I took my cone stuffed it inside of a cup and I'll toss it in the freezer for when I get desperate. If you have kids this is the place to go, they can throw a ton of toppings onto it blend it all up and be thrilled with the variety. As a person who just enjoys quality chocolate ice cream with no frills this might not be your place.

So cool build an yogurt !! Lol

Just had white chocolate macadamia nut. The nuts taste rancid (going bad). Skip this flavor.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want from a neighborhood ice cream shop: friendly, unpretentious, and completely focused on making great ice cream. The star of my visit? The Nutella Stackable. I almost went with something safer, but I'm so glad I didn't. Layer after layer of rich, velvety Nutella ice cream, it was indulgent in the best possible way and tasted like they somehow captured the essence of Nutella and made it even better. My boys were eyeing it the entire time, which is the highest compliment I can give. Speaking of the boys, they were immediately at home here. The staff was patient and cheerful while two excited kids deliberated for what felt like forever, and the portions were generous enough that everyone left completely satisfied. No small feat with those two. Kennedy's has the feel of a place that's been done right: quality ingredients, a welcoming atmosphere, and people behind the counter who clearly take pride in what they're serving. Melrose is lucky to have it!

The prices are on the higher side for a local spot and they appear to serve Gifford's and a variety of ice cream products from different suppliers. The variety is worth the visit if you're in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way. It's a busy shop, expect a line especially on weekends. My main complaint was how long it took to order, I came in with a friend and there were 3 groups in front of us but we waited 25 minutes. I understand it was busy but they seemed short staffed having to juggle the walk up window and the line inside the shop.
