Crane's Roost Park is such a beautiful space not just for attending fireworks, festivals, concerts or other events. It's a great place to go for a walk. There were families taking a walk while others were fishing or having a picnic. A pair of photographers were out taking pictures of the wildlife in and around the park. The park grounds are kept and well maintained. There are plenty of parking spaces available with multiple access points to the park. On our walk, we came across a food truck that was stationed near the park. Culinary Concepts by Chef Pierre offers a variety of food options from burgers, fish sandwiches to shrimp and ribs. Chef Pierre can be found on Thursdays and Fridays at different locations/apartment complexes. We ordered the Fried Fish, French Fries and Coleslaw combo. We did, however, opted out of the French Fries. The Fish was fried golden brown and was crispy. The Coleslaw was fresh and delicious. Chef Pierre and his staff were friendly and welcoming. We have been searching for new parks to frequent since we recently moved to the area. Crane's Roost Park is definitely at the top of our list and now our go to park. We will also keep a look out for Culinary Concepts by Chef Pierre next time we visit Crane's Roost Park. read more

This is a cute little park. You could definitely walk around if you want to lose weight or if you wanna just sit and look at the water or if you wanna sit and watch the performance it's very unique kind of park but it's really nice to walk around I normally just walk around in for a little exercise, but sometimes they have show sometimes they have fireworks sometimes they have things going on for the kids so it's a nice little park. read more

I love coming to Cranes Roost Park! I'm here at least once a week and often take the one loop multiple times around the park. I started to also come every last Saturday of the month at 10am in front of the amphitheater to join a really fun, free, HIIT fitness class. It's great! Definitely worth adding to your holiday rotation. I went with my husband and 3yr old daughter. We walked around to see all the Christmas lights. Made it about half way around before the little one started to melt down. The beautiful lights were worth the trip. We will be back. read more

This is absolutely gorgeous at the holidays and from the reviews it's well maintained all year round! I walked around the lake on the very clean walkways to see the lights on a beautiful cool Friday evening and found lots of parking close to walk around safely with nice crowds of couples, fitness enthusiasts and families enjoying the park with a few security guards for peace of mind. never knew how beautiful Cranes Roost Park was until this event! The lake views, well-maintained walkways, and relaxing atmosphere made it the perfect spot for Taste of Altamonte. I was surprised to learn that the full loop around the lake is a mile long--such a great place for a scenic stroll. The sunset? Absolutely immaculate. I love this walking loop. It's relatively flat and an easy, peaceful walk. It's a little under one mile so keep that in mind for tracking. I like to park in the movie theater lot as it is easy access to the path. Many festivals are held here, including red, hot and boom and a plethora of community activities themed events. read more

I occasionally venture out to Crane's Roost Park to either attend an event or enjoy a scenic 1-mile walk around the lake. During walks, it is possible to see a variety of wildlife such as birds, turtles and fish. The park is a beautiful, well-designed space. It is a great place for a walk or jog or just to sit out and enjoy the weather and nature. No wheels are allowed so leave the bikes, skates, etc. at home. On one side of the park is an amphitheater that is often used for shows and programs, along with restrooms and various places to sit. The location is near the Altamonte Springs Mall, AMC Movie Theater and a number of restaurants and shops. This is convenient, especially if there are no events that are hosting food trucks or other street food vendors. There is plenty of free parking and in the nearby Mall parking lot which is another plus. I definitely recommend checking out this park if you haven't already. read more

Soooooo welcome 2026 HNY!! so I decided to go walking today instead of brunch with friends for the first time in a while. I found the park well lit, Christmas music was nice playing, (I like that) I don't know how many miles is it around the entire park put I was pleasantly shocked of how many times I've been able to do laps, you see dog walkers, a few runners, families with kids walking around and I really enjoyed the couples holding hands, sitting on benches the scenery was great do not be afraid of being alone. I went to this park for the Taste of Altamonte event last week. Parking was quite easy at the garage or lot at the mall nearby. It's an easy walk to the park from the mall, and there is plenty of space to walk around the lake. Since I was at the event, they blocked some of the areas including the central area, but still there were other spaces to walk for the non guests. I loved the views of the lake, especially during the night when the park and buildings are lit up. The fountain in the central area is quite nice and well lit. We also had a wonderful band playing live music during the event, which was very enjoyable. There are even restaurants nearby the park, so you can enjoy food and drinks after a nice walk. And of course you can shop at the mall nearby. It's definitely a very nice park in the Altamonte Springs area. read more

There is always some type of event going on here and lots of people so you can feel free if you come here to walk or just clear your mind. Crane's Roost is one of my favorite places to walk in the Orlando area. The full loop is about a mile long and gives you beautiful scenery the whole way through. Plan on seeing plenty of ducks and turtles on your stroll or experience the beautiful color-changing lights if you go in the evening. Cranes Roost Park is a nice park just off of Interstate 4 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. It is a nice park, though it has more of a sidewalk around a lake and maybe downtown walking type thing more than an actual park. Cranes Roost Park is named because it surrounds Crane Roost Lake and is host to the popular 4th of July fireworks display. The park itself was a pleasant enough experience and I enjoyed my time over here and even though it was a bit chilly (the temperature was just under fifty degrees), it was nice enough to spend some time here. This place is so special as my husband and I officially became a couple while walking here one night and one year later we got married. A few months after that we moved in our first apartment together that is located directly behind Crane's Roost. It's a great spot for walking your dogs, getting outside, and just feeling part of the community. They always have exciting events there like for 4th of July and New Years and other vendor events through the year where they have food trucks and other services available. It's especially beautiful around the holidays because they have a giant tree that you can see from the i4 expressway! read more

If you have not been to this park, you are missing out. The park has a walking path over the water and is close to nice greenery areas for workouts and some yoga. I do know the City of Altamonte Springs does fit classes there once a week and events. I also enjoy all of the pokemon gyms and spins at this location too. The piece of art was so gorgeous I had to share. It is a mama nurturing her young. I would definitely recommend this location for family and friends. Cranes Roost Park is a beautiful place in a very busy area of Altamonte Springs. Yet its very peaceful to walk around the lake when the crowd is less. Cranes Roost Park is nested on 45 acres in the heart of Uptown Altamonte Springs surrounding Cranes Roost Lake. The park provides a large continuous walkway with a built-in audio system that spans the length of a mile. There are themed lighting fixtures, a beautiful fountain and choreographed fountain lighting show. The Park also has an integrated stadium-style Amphitheater with a floating stage which is great for watching live bands and to catch spectacular views of the fireworks during Red Hot & Boom. We come to Cranes Roost whenever we are in the Altamonte Springs area. I would come here more often but parking is somewhat limited and traffic in Altamonte can be horrendous. However, we always come to enjoy the Holiday Fountain Show that runs from November 28th through December 31st and the Holiday Light Display running from December 7th through January 1st annually. The Christmas Tree and Fountain are the main spectacles at this location but there are many other fun holiday themed lights to see as you walk around the lake. Park hours are Sunday-Thursday 7am - 11pm and Friday and Saturday 7am - 12am. The park is pet friendly in most areas so bring your best friend along for the holiday celebration. read more

They have such a nice walk around the lake at Cranes Roost Park. I don't know how long the actual walk is but it's great for a quick stroll during a lunch break. I saw some people using it as their running track too. Around the holidays, they have decorated lights and a beautifully lit Christmas tree for photo opportunities. Came here to check out the World Food Festival and I was quite impressed with the area. I loved the huge lake pond and the walking trail around it. It was super walkable, family and pet friendly and there were a good number of benches to just enjoy the scenery. I've never been in the area, but have always wanted to check it out. The food festival itself was just ok. I hate tickets that you have to buy so I didn't buy anything. I definitely enjoyed walking around and spending a perfect day there! read more

It's kinda preaching to the choir for those Central Floridians, but if you are from out of town, Crane's Roost Park is a some what hidden gem in the Greater Orlando area if you're not too familiar with this area. One trip around the lake maybe around a mile and it's a peaceful way to go for a after dinner walk all around the year. In the summer season it gets incredibly hot around the noon time so I'd avoid coming here at that time. It has an amphitheater area where they occasionally hold some musical events and if you come here in some Sunday's you may see some local community events held or sponsored by local small businesses or hospital systems alike. read more

This is my go to park normally when I need to exercise but not in the gym mood i can get my 3 or 4 miles in. Even when i go at night i feel sage there is always staff & people around. This is a good park for walking, running/jogging, bringing your dogs & small children. The park had easy parking and is right behind the Altamonte mall & movie theater. There are also condos, restaurants and other small businesses near as well. This is Christmas time so i had the pleasure of taking my niece & nephew to light it up on December 1st they had train rides, face painting, games, food & fireworks . We had a blast. Duke Energy every year sponsors light it up. So during the month of December you get to see the lights , Huge Christmas tree & a fountain show . ( you can find the times for the fountain show on their website). This is definitely a fun family park i would recommend to anyone. read more

Very nice park, feels very safe. There are dining choices nearby overlooking the park. There are performances out here on the lake. The boardwalk and sidewalk are in really good shape. There are several park benches throughout the lake area. Many are covered. I didn't see any myself, but I'm told by neighbors that you can go out and feed the turtles.
