As someone who enjoys walking outdoors near bodies of water, I truly enjoyed this walk. There was a good amount of seating throughout the park. There were various other recreational courts that you can use alongside, public restrooms, outdoor grills, large fields to gather in for picnics, workouts, etc. There is also a good amount of public parking. Secret Lake Park is lovely, and it is also peaceful. You can fish or just enjoy overlooking the lakes in a moment of solitude. Speaking of lakes, Secret Lake Park is made up of a series of lakes at varying sizes that you can walk near/around. They also have some historical boards in the park that you can read about the history of the lakes.

I decided to get my cardio in and the run was amazing with such a pretty view of the lake , ducks, turtles, flowers and a new heron sculpture. One lap around is a mile so after I hit my 3 miles, I sat on the benches located directly on the lake and truly enjoyed the morning sunshine and breeze. There were tons of people getting their cardio on and of all ages which was very ice and I felt very safe. There is a stage area located near the road where live concerts and events take place Monthly. They have a posting area to see all the upcoming events and even have health walks and seminars coming up. Even though this was a bit of a drive for me, I truly enjoyed getting my run in with a new view and will definitely come back again.

There are a lot of different slides, climbing options, and swings at this playground. There are a decent amount of benches as well. Most of the playground is fenced in except for the entrance. Note that while there are water fountains inside the playground, the bathrooms are in the large building a few steps away. This park also has baseball fields, basketball courts, and tennis courts. Lake Lotus Park is a wonderful park located close to the border of Orange and Seminole County…read more While a few of the Boardwalk walking paths were temporarily closed, I still enjoyed my walk along their walking path amongst the trees. There was a decent amount of parking and there was a sign for overflow parking. They have several signs warning of black bears and giving instructions on what to do if you encounter a black bear. All in all, this was a wonderful park to come and visit and I would definitely recommend that you come check this wonderful park out. Overall, I am going to give Lake Lotus Park five stars. The Orlando area has some great parks and Lake Lotus Park is definitely just another great reason to live in this area. Again, Lake Lotus Park has my recommendation and I give it an overall score of five stars. Go see Lake Lotus Park for yourself.

I found out about this park because I came with my wife, our son, and our granddaughter for a playdate. The park is home to the Altamonte Fast Pitch Academy and Babe Ruth Softball. They have three full size softball fields that are used for the softball academy, for Babe Ruth Softball, and you can also use them to practice on as well. Located between the three fields is a concession stand and the restrooms. What I really lived about this park is the three playground areas they have, each playground has their own set of things for kids to play on and a different theme for each area. They also have a swing-set area which includes a swing that you can sit in with your child and be able to swing together. There are also to pavilion areas for you to choose from one is called Oak Pavilion and the other is the Beach Pavilion which has two beach volleyball courts for you to play volleyball on which is a nice touch. Lastly I love the scenery of the park it has lots of great looking trees around the park. So if you are ever in the Altamonte, FL area and you want a nice secluded park to take your family to then I would recommend Merrill Park.

I also like that the ground is the padded type for two playgrounds and the whole park is fenced in. The park is right off a busy section of 436 in Altamonte so it's a good thing it is fenced in. There are few parking spots next to the playground, otherwise there are more parking spaces if you follow the signs to a separate lot. If you're desperate for a bathroom, you'll still have to get in your car and drive down the street. My suggestion would be Panera or Walgreens.

Basically, a battle of the local rock and roll bands - a variety of different members from different bands come together on two teams for one day with a purpose to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Tickets are only $5, bring a foldup chair, 10x10 tent, a cooler and it's a great time watching all of our friends compete with one another on the field. Torcaso Cove Park is a great place to hold this event. There is a spacious field with plenty of space on the sidelines for fans. There are several parking areas available making parking easy for large events. There was plenty of space for a half-time show with live music right by the field. There were also a BBQ vendor and several other vendors on site selling food, jewelry, and other items. The park has a public restroom, a playground, splash park, sand pits, plenty of paved walking areas, a picnic area with tables, large pavilion, a beautiful bridge that crosses the heart shaped cove, the park has a bunch of Muscovy ducks waddling around and is dog friendly, what else can you ask for. Nancy and I really enjoyed our time at the park, we will definitely be back to bring our dog and take a nice walk. I just have to mention that it was a bit muddy on the field, even on a hot sunny day. So be sure to wear something you don't care about getting dirty.

It's great to see that being preserved here in Maitland. The trails are perfect for a walk or short run, with plenty of nature and wildlife to take in.
