The lighting on the stage wasn't that great as the projected screen got in the way of the other lighting. They need to light it more from the bar area instead of right above the stage pointing down. Not the best. Most of the seating was those tiny uncomfortable stools with no backs, but the bar had seats that were bigger and had backs to them. I'm glad we were able to sit there. Drinks were good and the big buckets were only $15 which is pretty good for any cocktail these days. They also had lots of choices for hard alcohol and beers available. Staff was great and kept checking in. And the Pizza looked good too, although I didn't have any. I just scowled at other patrons consuming it. Overall, this was a good place with good views of the stage from multiple angles and I'd go here to see a show again!

Muldoons has that blue collar, biker bar vibe which is cool. The beer is cold and the people are friendly. I love that they have live music outside but that outdoor area needs a little help. All in all if you're in the mood for local music and a beer Muldoons is worth a visit.

The doors don't open till right before showtime, but there's covered tables & chairs to sit & wait. Parking was a bit tight. The doormen were very fast & efficient. Everyone was friendly too! Overall I really like The Abbey & am going back again in a few weeks, Oh - pro tip - there's an absolutely OUTSTANDING sushi restaurant around the corner & they were very accommodating when we said we were in a hurry to get to the show on time. 4 Stars for possibly the oddest DIY event space / living space / arts space I've ever encountered…read more "Welcome. You are here. It is now." -- The words painted on the stairs leading to this magical place. How can I not be a fan of The Space? This DIY venue, with no signage, located above Anthony's Pizza in Mills 50 is just so crazy that it makes me want more. They host a bunch of odd/quirky/artistic events including Literocalypse (a monthly reading series featuring local writers), figure drawing art sessions, crazy dance parties (ex: SPACE-FEST), nude yoga, zine-release parties, musicians from all around, etc. Park behind Anthony's and walk up the stairs to find fantastically decorated hallways (sheets, sheets, and more sheets!) in what I imagine used to be a regular apartment. I went for Literocalypse one night and found myself wandering the apartment between readings. It seemed like people lived there- the kitchen looked like I had stocked it in my early college days and there were some homemade brownies sitting there, tempting anyone brave enough to take one. Their website, though minimal, hints to the goals of this place with a simple message at the top: "culture. expression. collaboration. education. inspiration. community. progress." It seems you can rent the space for events or to live there- "rental rates are flexible and donation based." I dig that they have a calendar of events that seems to be kept up to date. Unfortunately, I've heard that they've recently been throwing shows and events to raise money to save The Space and I hear that the actual physical space is for sale, but hopefully with the support of the arts community it will remain in its current iteration or another. In the end, Orlando is better for having these types of unique, non-judgemental venues for young artists to explore themselves and for us less artistic folks to enjoy something very real and untainted. And yes, I hear the dance parties are pretty freaking nuts (and hot, with only window AC units).

It's what I call a hole-in-the-wall bar, but a fun place to occasionally visit and have a drink or two. They offer specials different days of the week and they hold Bingo games where you can actually win $$$. They don't offer much to eat, maybe some chips and pretzels. LOL, they do have an actual snack machine where you can purchase items. There were two other customers in there when we came in; we all introduced ourselves and had great conversation. It's a shame that the owner doesn't try to upgrade this bar. It really is a hole-in-the-wall!

For me it was a moment of nostalgia dating back to the 90's when I followed Rancid on tour with Suicide Machines. This party doesn't discriminate though, and has new age bands who were just as amazing. I absolutely love the Shbooms. It's like a beautiful mix of Aretha Franklin meets ska/rock. If you want to have a low key festival experience in a small intimate venue then this is definitely the party you need to attend. The inside bar has lots of wonderful beer choices from local beers to mainstream beers and mixed cocktails. I drank sooo many Sanford Irish reds that I definitely paid the price the next day, but I also had the time of my life. I can't wait till next years lineup announcement. Don't miss it if you've never been.
