Have you ever gone to a place and thought to yourself, this place could be so much better if they would just do...this? Well, Muldoons is that bar for sure. Muldoons has that blue collar, biker bar vibe which is cool. The beer is cold and the people are friendly. I love that they have live music outside but that outdoor area needs a little help. The blue tarp flappin in the wind behind the stage needs to go. The indoor bar is super smokey but if you're not bothered it's no big deal. We stopped by for a few beers since the reviews were good and we live close. They have darts, pool, and several other games that look cool. But they allow smoking so whether you sit inside or outside the place reeks of cigarettes. I'm sure that's why we were the only people here under the age of 60. Won't be back. read more

I like this place but on 11/07/21 the bartender was a dickhead, ignored me and refused to treat me as a human being. No I was NOT overdressed nor underdressed. Muldoon's Saloon is another great dive bar on Aloma in Goldenrod. I usually pop in here for a drink or two when I'm visiting my boyfriend in O-Town. Smoky? Of course. Questionable crowd? At times. But they have super reasonable drink prices ($2.50 wells everyday), karaoke Wednesdays, Jam Band Thursdays, and great live music on the weekends. Friendly bartenders. There's only one pool table, though. Out back there's a neat little patio seating area with a fire pit. As other reviewers of this establishment have noted, do NOT go here with high expectations. A dive is called a dive for a reason. If you're looking for a good place to relax with friends or for a pick me up after work, Muldoon's is your Saloon. Only complaint: don't expect to finish your drink if you've got some left come last call. They'll make you pour it out. read more

Great neighborhood bar. Affordable prices, inside and outside seating. It is actually two bars one inside, and one outside. While the outside bar opens later it is nice to have clear air to breathe. They have music outside and post their schedule online. The drinks are very affordable with happy hour running all day. Some people describe it as a dive bar but I feel it is much more than that. Inside is exactly what you expect from a true old school dive bar...vinyl stools, cigarette smoke, pool table and cheap beer...outside has a neat rustic outdoor vibe with an indoor/outdoor full bar with plenty of fans to keep it cool even in summer. Reading over these reviews, I grow confused. Someone came to this place and expected a classy, upscale sort of establishment? It's mostly located outside - there's really no excuse for not seeing it precisely for what it was and the exact sort of patrons it attracts. You can tell before you even exit your vehicle that you may be over dressed.... and if this is truly a legitimate concern for you, you can surely start the engine up again and haul your hoity-toity heiny over to an alternate location more suitable for your refined tastes. Fifi's or Miss Prissy Princessface, for example. I am sure these places exist (probably on Park Ave) and are perfectly happy to accept money from people with more high-maintenance sensibilities Yes, this is low key, low production type of joint. Yes, the average customer is a grizzled older gentleman and perhaps he owns a motorcycle and even more likely he is a war vet who could tell you some interesting stories if you weren't so concerned with chipping a nail or walking your Jimmy Choos through a little bit of dirt to get to a table on the patio. Another reviewer remarked that this is not a place for nuns or sissies or girl scouts; as both a former girl scout and a current, licensed sissy, I disagree. I cannot, however, speak for the nuns. What it is: a local watering hole populated by some working glass folks, probably a 40-60+ crowd (full disclosure: I am 37 but I would probably like this place even if I were in my 20s). Beer and liquor, nothing fancy. If you're a regular customer, the bartender has your glass pour before you even get up the bar. No food. Or, at least very little food. I am told they serve it, but I have never seen anyone eating there. Sometimes live music, though this is only hearsay as far as I am concerned; I have yet to hear any. A good place for a drink with a small group if you're not out to impress anyone and don't give a crap about appearances. You want a cheap drink with some good friends. You must also not mind a few mosquito bites, because as I mentioned most of the seating is outside. What it is not: a nightclub; a teaparty; a discotheque; a runway. This place is a DUMP. I visited shortly before Christmas last year with my boyfriend and apparently was overdressed. I stuck out like a sore thumb and I wasn't even really dressed up. I guess having a full set of teeth and having been recently showered made me stand out. Several of the "distinguished gentlemen" clientele looked as if they were dying for a fight and I'm not even sure how the overly intoxicated, underage bartender was still serving drinks and making decent draft pours. I guess that's a plus? I suppose they offered decent drink specials but I personally can't get away from how gross this place feels. I was told that they hire bouncers to pose as regulars in case things get out of hand, so I guess that's another plus? In summary, if you have clothes that you can set on fire after visiting then by all means make a trip here. Do not wear anything you'd like to keep - the scent of smoke and other undesirable scents will never wash out. Ever. read more

I used to frequent this place a couple of decades ago, and I just recently began to go back again. It is a local, blue collar and blue jeans type of joint...period. Small, crowded, and sometimes loud inside. Smoking permitted. No food. Other than adding the 'tiki bar' area in the back, it really hasn't changed much in 20+ years. Drop in for a few drinks and listen to some live music in one of Winter Park's iconic watering holes. Make sure to put it on your pub crawl itinerary. Sissies, nuns, and girl scouts should probably go somewhere else. This ain't TGI Fridays. read more

You aren't kidding, Ashley K. - this place is abysmal. I have a lot of funny stories about this place ... though they're not really even MY OWN stories, since I was only here one time and didn't stay long enough to really take everything in. Long story, but I know someone who used to work here ... and she told me about a lot of crazy stuff that happened here ... some of which involved her. (She's kind of a lunatic herself.) I don't go to this part of town anymore, so there's a zero % chance I'll ever be back. Even if I did find myself in that area, I'd have to be the most desperate person in the world for a beer to go back in. I'm guessing that the only people who go here on a regular basis are constant regulars, people who don't go more than a half-mile from their house or people who just don't realize that there's anything better than this place. (Maybe all of the above!) Seriously ... just try and find somewhere on Aloma, S.R. 436 or University to grab a drink. You're close enough to all three that going to Muldoon's shouldn't even be a consideration. AVOID. read more

This is your average dive bar, the people make this place and are very accommodating if you have patience. I drink a Jamison Manhattan and out of all my visits only one bartender knew how to make the drink, the others looked it up and made it just fine after a little research. Also worth recognizing is the fact that they will remember you and your drink after that initial encounter, cant really complain imo - if you dont know what a dive is and/or you are easily put off by stuff, just skip this place and go somewhere else. read more

Hey man, when you are looking for a Dive Bar this is the place to be!! It is really close to me and I have frequented it several times. Within the last couple of years it has been re-done and is much nicer. The drinks are generous and the price is way more than fair. However, I enjoy being able to buy my bartender and shot, and this rule has recently changed. I am not sure why, but I am sure one person ruined this privilege for everybody. As a patron I shouldn't have to conform to rules of generosity. If an employee got out of hand as a result of enjoying a drink with their customers, it should be addressed on a one on one level. I would love to see this change. The food is good for what it is. It is a limited menu, but the items you can get are worth every cent. There is live music every night except for Monday, and the happy hour special is the best in the area. In exchange for live music on Monday, you are offered endless Happy Hour specials which is amazing. If you live close and want to have a good time, I highly recommend this place! Smoking is allowed, but they do a good job with keeping ventilation open. I hope to see you there!! read more

I consider Muldoon's my local watering hole. Typically regulars, music inside and out. Front porch seating, real nice patio, bar and picnic tables including fire pits during winter out back. Driveway has limited parking but parking is never an issue due to street parking on the side and a business that has a vacant lot at night which is basically connected to the Saloon's parking lot. There is a pool table and stage in the bar. Music of some sort most nights...rock, blues, acoustic, jams, and Karaoke (which sometimes is dreadful) but it's always a good time. Has dedicated motorcycle parking. Bartenders have been changing, most good some too busy on their cells to keep your beer full. A few don't know newer, specialty shots (snickers, Pay Day etc) but when we tell them the ingredients we find out the particular liquor isn't on shelf. No food so don't expect a burger with your beer. On occasion a roach or two but it's always a good time. I'm actually going there tonight. read more

Great little hole in the wall where you can come dressed as you are(either casual or not) and feel welcome and wanted. It's like the TV show "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. Tammi is the only bartender that I know that will have my drink already being poured as I pull into the parking lot and who will greet you with open arms. She treats all her customers like you are wanted and welcome...all the time. I can honestly say that a large group of us only go there because of her. Stopped in for a couple of drinks. When I walked in to the main bar, it was dark and the bar had several patrons sitting at it. My first impression was that this was a typical neighborhood bar. I found out, just how "neighborhood"'it was. Pink Floyd was playing and that was pretty good, I'm a fan. Ordered my drink, then the acrid cigarette smoke started to etch my throat. The place was so smokey that it was actually uncomfortable. I finished my vodka, slid my empty glass to the edge of the bar, hoping to have another. But, here's the deal. If you are not a regular, tough luck. The bartender Tracy, walked by me six times, not busy mind you, I think she made two drinks in passing. She attended to the regulars and never even addressed me after that first drink. I waited about ten minutes and six passes before I gave up. I would avoid this place unless it's your frequent liver and lung destruction palace. read more
