Been to BS many times. Almost always a good band there. I dropped by on the Superbowl . At halftime they switched to the TPUSA show. I was looking forward to Bad Bunny's show as it had been heavily advertised. We walked out after Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner. Disappointed in BS. They ditched a great show for a sad scraggly bunch of unknowns and lip syncing has-beens. read more

THIS IS NOT A DRILL! This is NOT a drill! This unassuming, kinda divey (but not too divey), cool little place has Blantons! Never in a zillion years would I have expected this place to have Blantons. And you can get a giant glass on the rocks for 20 bucks! We came here several evenings during our trip to bike week because we really enjoyed it here. The bartends were quick and friendly, the other patrons were friendly as well. It has a chill vibe with flame tables outside, high-tops and pool tables inside. Give it a shot (or two)! read more

This is our local neighborhood bar where everyone is so welcoming. We normally go there for a couple drinks and music. Today we ordered the Tacos and a Hotdog with Chips. The food here is always consistent and delivered with a smile by Dena. We truly appreciate being able to order some yummy bites while out enjoying some cocktails. How does NSB have so many awesome spots for live music? Accidentally stopped by the tavern, and to our surprise, there was a woman singing NO Doubt song and jamming on the drums at the same time with a full band. We literally walked in and went straight towards the stage. And stayed for a good 2 hours. I can't rmbr anything else except good drinks, awesome music, and a pretty chill vibe of people of different ages. read more

Food: exceptionally disgusting! Service: incredibly underwhelming, security targets certain people throughout the night & have no manners whatsoever. very rude & inconsiderate! Ambiance was horrible, floors need cleaning, need to invest in new furniture with how filthy it is in there. Overall by far one of my worst experiences. This place is a hidden gem. We passed it while staying for my son's spring break and realized most places close early so we stopped in. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately by a fun, outgoing bartender - (wish I got his name), he wore a fun hat and had the personality that fits his job. There was also a girl bartender who was just as attentive - they never missed a beat and it was busy. We ordered chips and salsa (probably the best salsa I've had at a restaurant), hot dog and tacos. Food was on point!!! Drinks were never empty - live music was a plus bc of the variety of music being played. We will definitely be back - maybe even tonight. read more

Only place open late at the beach. Great vibes. Only place with darts but at the end of the night... the staff screamed "get the F**k out" at appropriately 1:45. Right in our face. Recommend to my from a local, I made my trip up here after leaving the local dive bar to catch some more live music and cold drinks. It was definitely a busy night but I was attended pretty quickly and the drinks were cheap. Everyone here was super welcoming and cool. The music wasn't uncomfortably loud and the weather was just right. Plenty of locals gather here for a drink which add that chill neighborhood vibe right on the beach. The drink specials are great here and there's always a special of some sort going on. They hire local bands which add to the coolness factor for sure. It's pretty central so catching an Uber or walking over from Flagler isn't too bad. I like bars like this the most. I'm glad I found out about this spot just by following the music. read more

Worst bar ive been too. Made terrible drinks. There was an orange in my margarita for some reason? Rude service. Bartender couldn't do math and overcharged us. Lost our credit card behind bar and had to wait 40 minutes for them to find it when we were trying to leave. This place is a joke. Went there to see G Love concert and watched a 3 hour sound check. Paid $20 and got nothing. No G Love no music. Very poor management. Crappy atmosphere. Visited here early on a Saturday evening with a group of friends. This is a little tavern with a bar on one side, tables and a pool table in the middle, a small stage area, and a few outside seats with fire pits. Decor is nothing special or fancy. When we came, the bar area was full of what I assume are probably regulars, and no one was seated at any tables. We ended up leaving before the band played, so I can't comment on that. For the most part, the bartenders were good. No one ever came to our table, (no table service) we went to the bar to order all our drinks. I was impressed when the bartender said she new of a specific mixed shot I asked for, and she made it well. Prices weren't bad either, we got out for under $30 between my husband and I. The downside to this place would probably be the regulars. Not all of them, but there were a few that were well known by other patrons, who even went as far as to warn us about certain individuals by name. But this was after we had already had these individuals come up to our table or involve themselves in our conversations. And I enjoy a community vibe, having a good time with new people, but this went to a new level of extreme, even involving inappropriate comments made to several in our group. That kind of behavior should not be tolerated. Since I do not live in the New Smyrna area, I probably won't cross paths with this place anytime soon. But I will say if you go, be prepared for unique interactions. read more

Zero star because the service was horrible. Chicken nachos came with not one piece of chicken on it. So we asked our server if they could please be remade he said yes keep the old ones for extra chips we said thats ok he could take them back because they would be cold by the time it got remade. The food came back finally just chicken no nachos. Now they had to be taken back again to be put on the nachos. Server came back around rudely and looked at my girlfriend and said how are they the 3rd time around and just walked away. I believe his name was tuna or something like that. We will never come back here ever again because our server spoke to us 3 times the whole night when we originally asked if we should just go to the bar to order but he insisted that we sit anywhere we like. read more

Came here a week later to the day, we got scolded for writing on the old rotting wood on the deck as someone backed into the deck fence knocked my iPhone down which was charging, fence was bent 30 degrees by car hiting it and nothing was said!!! But I was degraded for writing with chalk, which they provide and no signs say not to write on their precious wood!!! Also too cameras in bathrooms!!! Yes cameras in bathrooms!!!! Women watch out!! I did a shot in the bathroom which we brought in and I did in bathroom And bartender made a comment to me "we only drink liquor from the bar" how would she know that if no camera!!! I would not even give it a star. Went there with friends. Stood by the bar and waited our turns. It looked like she was just going down the line. After 15 minutes of watching her work it seemed we were next in line. This didn't happen. She gave me eye contact and skipped right over us and served what seemed to be locals there. We left in disappointment. I understand it was busy, but we were very patient. She was very deliberate in ignoring us. We have never been there before and will NEVER RETURN. Beachside Tavern is where the locals go. They always have live music, and the bar staff is friendly and quick. In the winter they have fire pit tables, which really add to the atmosphere but they do go quick. They've got plenty of beer on tap, as well as a large bottle selection and a full bar. The music varies from cover bands to local ska, punk, bluegrass, and alternative. If you're in the Daytona area Beachside Tavern is worth the trip - it will get you away from all the touristy, overcrowded bars in the downtown Daytona area. read more
