We learned that the old windows were not even windows by today's standards, they were just huge panes of glass that gave no insulation. He measured the windows so quickly (like 2 minutes) that I wondered if the windows world 3 actually fit (they did!). The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. To start, I want to say everyone I've interacted with from Champion(minus the door installers) have…read morebeen professional and kind. I called Champion to have storm doors removed. Champion had previously installed a sunroom window and they had done a great job. I met with a Champion rep on August 2nd, 2022. We signed a deal for two more windows in the sunroom and two storm doors. The windows were installed without issue quickly (before end of 2022). Storm doors were not installed until 3/11/2023. During installation the upstairs storm door was installed with a large gap between the door frame and door. The outside handle was installed upside down. The handle was never fixed, but the installers did fix the gap issues. The downstairs side door was installed without major gaps or issues HOWEVER the travel clips to keep the door screen and glass in place were never removed and the pieces to keep the screen or glass in place by itself was never given to us. We contacted Champion for a service call since the door is slamming and unable to close properly. 3/27/2023 - the installer comes out, lets us know about the missing storm door clips for screen and glass. He does not have the part on hand, and put an order in. He also helped get the door balanced as best as he could to reduce door slamming. 5/26/2023 - Scheduled date for part install. Appointment is cancelled since they don't have the part. No follow up on when part will be in. 7/11/2023 - Still no update or ETA on when the door will be finished, 116 days since install. Not working with Champion again based on their communication and lack of follow through.

It's a builders grade glass door, so the lower quality of the door made it more difficult to repair. All of the other companies we obtained bids from said it couldn't be repaired and quoted 2500 to 3000 for a replacement. Peter came over on a Sunday morning and repaired it expertly. Our front window had a broken sash and required a complete replacement. The replacement cost Peter quoted was a reasonable price and he took out the old damaged window and replaced it with a new one, spending time caulking and finishing the job. Peter responded quickly and provided a quote before beginning the job. I highly recommend Pat Builders.

I called them and they were able to send Oscar out right away. They told me to save 60 -90 min for the consultation, which seemed like a lot of time considering every other company just needed 5-10 min of my time. However, i was willing to invest the time for the right doors and right price. Oscar and i met for over an hour. He was super friendly and knowledgeable about all my door options. He brought along a presentation (via his ipad), as well as materials so we got it all done within that hour. The other companies took a lot less, but resulted in a few trips to my house and lots of back and forth via email. I honestly probably prefer the latter since less time all at once. In the end I went with a different company due to price, but thought this company offered a good product at competitive pricing so would be worth looking into them.
