Craft is definitely a solid bar in Lynbrook. I've been here a million times and I'm definitely a fan. They have good food, and good drinks. If you can grab a seat at the bar, you have a great view of the game! Craft has a great location, pretty much right under Lynbrook Railroad. So it's super convenient if you're taking the train there. Also, there's always plenty of parking if you're driving. Like live music? You'll most likely find a guy with a guitar who does great Keith Urban covers. Like hello? Am I in Key West right now? We order two burgers and chicken teriyaki wing. Number one the burgers wasn't well done. Number two sauce that we ask to put on the side was never in the Togo bag. The wings was very salty. Pretty much the food was disgusting. So we left a message and they restaurant call us the next day and we told them the problem. Do you know what they said instead of trying thing to do something or anything. They said. Next time we will try better. We always go there but the the staff and manages are nasty people. They don't care to take care of the guest. They just want to money and a tip. Disgusting food. I will never go back to this place. Shame on you. Nice little outdoor patio with bar. Indoor area is nothing to write home about, and neither is the food. Typical average bar fare. The bar itself is fine and they do have trivia nights and live music. The food though is mediocre at best. Burger was a 3 (average). Bavarian pretzel a 4. Steak tidbits a 2. They have a great selection of craft beers including local options from breweries like Grimm and Great South Bay. The bar is spacious and has plenty of TVs so there is s good vantage point anywhere in the bar. There is an outdoor patio area which is great for spring and summer days. This place is the definition of neighborhood cool! We have been here several times now and they have done it right every time. The staff are all awesome! All very welcoming and friendly. They are even cool if you are with the family. Kids are welcome. Catch the right night and you may enjoy music spun by a local DJ creating a fun environment. Just loud enough to groove to the music, but not so loud you can't hear. The DJ tonight was even cool enough to play my kids favorite song - Bruno Mars Uptownfunk. She was over the moon! There is indoor and some nice outdoor seating to enjoy on a nice summer evening. As for the food and drinks... the food is pub food - burgers, some fancy dogs, salads, and more. The apps are all excellent! ...and I can say that because we have tried darn near all of them. Wings are good too! They have a nice drink selection - beers, ciders, wine and mixed drinks. I am not a bar person, but I was around the corner in the cigar lounge and it was time for lunch, so I decided it looked ok. It was far better than expectations. A fine burger cooked exactly to order, which is a hard quality to find. Fries likewise exactly cooked to order. Super attentive, pleasant and considerate server, Elisa. And the background music was surprisingly enjoyable; golden oldies of the 60's - 70's. I don't know yet if that's the norm or just a happy fluke. Hope it's the norm. One of the worst experiences in my life, Staff is extremely unprofessional and racist. It started with us telling the entertainer that we had a birthday in the group, he totally ignored us the entire night. Management singled out our group and demanded that we sit down,(in the guise of covid precautions) even though their white patrons were free to roam the outdoor dining area with no restrictions and no mask. We will be reporting this establishment to the Nassau board of consumers affairs to start an investigation. read more

I love this place. The food is great and so is the atmosphere. We were 10 people there for brunch and it's bottomless brunch drinks for 10.00 and you can have champagne. Extremely loud but it's a bar so I could deal with it, the waitress didn't seem very interested in her job never smiled and didn't offer any suggestions for drinks or food even though we asked. She sat us took our drinks and order then didn't come back to see if we needed anything or to ask if everything was ok until she gave us the bill. We had to flag people down for napkins and water. 4 stars are for the cocktails and the atmosphere. There are plenty of TVs to watch games, and every table in the main restaurant area has a good vantage point to most TVs. There is a patio with an outside bar which is fantastic for warm nights on Long Island. It's right down the block from the train station so it makes a good stop on the way to something, and also on the way home. We've been going since it changed over from Mary Mac's and the service has always been good as well, whether we sat at a table or the bar. The speciality cocktails are all pretty solid and well-mixed. They've got a pretty good whiskey/bourbon selection, beers and wines as well. Most recently we had a seasonal special caramel apple sangria which ended up being absolutely delicious, and a fine price for the area at $8. Personally, I'm happy anytime we can have a fall-themed anything that isn't pumpkin so perhaps I am biased, but I thought it was great! The food is ok, good to nosh on if you're in a drinking/watching a game/hanging out with friends/casual date kind of mood but not absolutely gourmet or anything. I do tend to love anywhere I can get tots - and you can get them here smothered in nacho fashion :). They've also got pretzels, and hot dog/hamburger selections that are a little wild. Personally I think it's a super fun place to watch a baseball game because with the food options it's almost like you're there! Overall, we tend to head here when we're in the mood for good drinks and the food isn't the focus, but the food isn't in any way a disappointment either. Craft - Taproom, yes, Kitchen, not so much. This location has been turned into a very nice place in the physical sense. Outdoor dining, a window that opens up to the outside (albeit to the LIRR elevated platform) and a very pleasant indoor seating area. However, the place is extraordinarily noisy, even when it is one- third full, due to the high tin ceilings which carry noise to an insane level. Craft has a large selection of beers; they offer most of them in a 32 oz size if you so desire. But you better be sure of what you order - there's nothing like being stuck with a quart of a beer you thought you would like but didn't, especially at $11 a pop. That said, it's a good place to down a few. As for the restaurant, it's very disappointing. While the appetizer selection is varied, there is very little in terms of an actual selection of entrees. A few types of burgers, a few salads, and some other dishes. They could do much better on the dinner offerings, that's for sure. The service also leaves much to be desired. One waitress was handling the back room on a Friday night, leaving it taking forever to order, get the meals, and then wait to get the check. The food, a few salads and burgers, were nothing special. With White Castle a stone's throw away, we may have been better off with the better tasting belly-bombs. If you want to drink, you will enjoy yourself. If you want to actually have dinner, go somewhere else and then stop on to Craft Kitchen and Taproom for a nightcap. read more

This place is so underwhelming! The name and the reviews would lead you to believe other. Ordered shrimp tacos that were eatable but hardly good. The best thing they had going was the slaw on top, the sauce was pretty good. The shrimp were so small and appeared to be boiled. They also charge 18 for 3 tacos with no side, honest Chili's or some other large scale chain would have better food. So maybe you think they have good beer. They are the classic case of pay to play with their beer choice. People must go here for sheer proximity to the town/train. read more

I was super happy and excited to come here. Finally a craft beer/bourbon related place locally. This was the old Charlie Gibsons, Mary Mac Namaras. Sadly this was a one and done deal. Very disappointed. It took nearly 25 mins to have the waitress to ask us what we wanted to drink while we sat at our table (It wasnt packed or busy). Craft beer bar, first 2 choices of beers we ordered they were out of it. On to the food. Horrible. I ordered maple bourbon wings....they came out as buffalo wings. They had to be sent back. My bf ordered the bourbon burger....it came out with half the burger not in it (Bacon, pickles). We had to send both back. The waitress apologized and blamed it on the kitchen. She tried to make up for everything and offered to buy us a round, but the dinner was so far gone at that point. Fast forward 2 hours later - sick as a dog. We wont be back. read more

I can't say enough good about this place! I love their wings cooked crispy and spicy, the salmon burger is to die for! Delicious, I have had some of their sausage sampler platter as well. Yay a new eatery in Lynbrook! This spot has had a few names over the years but, I think this one is here to stay! It def. had a nice facelift since it was Mary Mac's. It has a much more "mature" feeling than Mary's did. It has less of a "Let's get blackout drunk feel." (he he.) Came here on a Friday around 7PM for dinner with Mom. The parking was sparse so we both agreed, if there is a wait, we won't. We walked right in and were seated by a lovely hostess. She asked if this was our first visit and to let her know if she could assist us further. Nice. BUT!!!!!!!!!!..... Friday night after working a long week, Friday dinner is chatty, catch up time for my Mom and I. We were seated in the main bar area - high tables - very bar like. That is absolutely fine but, it was the acoustic singer we were seated directly in back of, that wasn't something we were happy about. The live singing/music was SO loud, and it was impossible to hear each other or hold a conversation. Maybe we chose the wrong venue for our mom/daughter date nights. Most of the patrons were enjoying the music. We were just not fans. Anyway, menu has a great selection. VERY creative and delicious sounding selections! I can't wait to try one of each out the categories! I wish I took a pic of the menu because I don't remember the actual name of the meal I had. It was a traditional grilled cheese with bacon, tomato on the thickest most yummy white bread ever! The fries were skin on, and beautifully done. A crisp fresh pickle on the side. It really was so tasty! Mom had the ham and swiss grilled number that looked really good. We both had leftovers to look forward to! Craft kitchen has an excellent beer menu as expected. And in my experience our waiter was very excited about it and let me sample beers without question and helped me find two excellent tap beers. There is an extensive can and bottle list as well. The bar restaurant is decorated with Jameson barrels, a nice mural of some men drinking beer. Our food arrived quickly and was hot. They serve on metal trays with a wax newspaper sheet. They spent a lot of effort to make this a true gastropub experience. We had pulled pork and a chicken sandwich with wings. Excellent. Ok so first off, this place is easy to get to, either by train or by car (it's basically next to the lynbrook train station). Plenty of parking, and overall the layout of the bar and restaurant is very comfortable, plenty of space, lots of tv's, a huge selection of tap and bottled craft beers and a solid menu of food. I felt like the menu reminded me of choices I'd find at the spotted pig in Manhattan, and overall this place has a similar feel (with a better layout and more beer options). On the menu, the wings are great, the pretzel is a monster and great for sharing. The choice of brats and dogs is pretty big so most definitely something for everyone and the burgers are excellent. I had the bourbon burger which I really liked. The fries are made fresh daily and you get a huge portion with your burger. This place is great and in an area that has really only one food option (Angelina's) this spot should be a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. read more

I appreciate the new spots popping up near by and this was one I wanted to try. It has that pub feel but much cleaner because it's new. Very large space lots of seating by the bar with many TVs playing the games for the night. Looking around they have trivia night and live music events. Beer selection was pretty usual for any pub but I'd hope they'd have more options since maybe the name kind of hints at it. I've had or heard of most of their list so nothing that stands out. Had the onion blossom to start - it was fried to deliciousness but I knew I'd pay for it at the gym. The sauce it came with was great. Ordered the salmon burger .. It was good but I enjoyed the fries more. I also tasted their bourbon wings but just tasted more like regular bbq wings. In the end - I'm glad it's around I don't have to drive to the usual sports bars or overcrowded wing spots for food, beer and TVs. read more
