Bone in buffalo wings
Noel M.

I have been here so many times either with my friends or with my wife. This is a family friendly place. The ambiance is great, they keep the place clean. A very good joint to hang out and have some beer, wings, burgers, etc. They have a huge selection of beers from seasonal, craft, rarities, dark, wheat, Pilsner, light, amber lager, fruit beer, cider and a lot more. The staff has always been great, wait time for any orders are acceptable, food prices has gone up a bit, beer prices are fair, food taste is awesome. This is the home of "cry like a baby chicken wings", I tried it once, it was so spicy that I can just finish one chicken wing and then the rest of the night I have to keep chugging a beer to take the spicy taste off, ha ha ha. I highly recommend the place, but hey, everybody's taste is different.

Patron shots

Came to this location the other night and by 9:15pm ish the bar was completely full. Without much choice my friend and I asked for a booth and we were seated immediately in the front by the door. Not our ideal seats to go with however we sat and waited and waited and waited.. We got plenty of time to look over the menu, we didn't want to really get food immediately. Gratefully we ended up getting seats at the bar and quickly grabbed them. With the help of the floor server she was a really nice. The bartender that helped us was nice initially maybe not so much however over time she loosened up. The other girls on the far left of the bar forget about it they had weird vibes they didn't even look our way. Hospitality people!!! We ordered two patron shots A margarita that was okay however the ice load was crazy!!!!! My friend ordered a drink that she wasn't satisfied with and had it switched out without a problem. I then ordered a beer and my friend ordered a shot and another drink. For food we both got a beyond burger I got onion rings and my friend got fries. I told the bartender I don't eat meat so I was contemplating what I could order she told me most of the staff doesn't eat meat either and went to see if they had these burgers and we ordered right away when she said that they did. One thing I did notice is that they don't really have bar napkins I mean you putting my garnishes on a coaster that most likely will be used/has been used for glasses is not sanitary.

Croxley's is a nice go-to when you're looking for good tap beers and a good old American food menu. Not a fancy place, but very quaint.

Good sports bar. Burgers are very tasty. Lots of TVs around to watch sport. Makes me think of my youth and old-time sports bars.

Ask the Community - Croxley's Franklin Square

Do you still do the wing night specials ? If so when

Dennis B. thanks for the inquiry. At this time we do not offer any of our old wing night specials. We hope to see soon. Cheers!

Are the $.10/$.20 wing specials no longer happening? I only see deals for $.50 "historic wings"...

That would be correct :-/

Glad to come across this establishment that offers a halal menu. Went for brunch which was a bit…read moreempty but they just revamped their brunch menu and the food was delicious. Met with the chef who was friendly. The bar tender was a bit distracted and drinks were not flowing for the 90 bottomless. Besides that definitely recommend. It's a huge place and I hear it gets crowded on games nights. Will be back to try the dinner menu.

Having not visited Your Mother's House in a couple of years, we decided to return for brunch,…read morerecalling it as a reliable spot for a quick, enjoyable meal. Unfortunately, what followed was a rather comprehensive departure from even the most basic expectations of hospitality. The tone was set almost immediately. Menus were presented visibly crumpled and coated with food and grease--something we had to point out and request replacements for. After being seated, our place setting consisted of two small plates, two forks, two spoons... and a single napkin between us. A small detail, perhaps, but one that tends to reflect broader operational awareness--or lack thereof. Service, while polite, was notably inefficient. A simple question about ordering a side of grits required a ten-minute round trip to the kitchen for clarification. Shortly thereafter, I ordered a Bloody Mary with top-shelf vodka. After another ten-minute wait, what arrived was difficult to categorize as a finished cocktail: a small glass with visibly melted ice, a single crushed olive at the bottom, and a diluted, unstirred mixture that suggested it had long been abandoned before reaching the table. This was billed at $10, plus an additional $4 for the "premium" vodka. We proceeded to place our brunch order, including eggs, toast, and coffee. What followed was a series of small but telling misfires: a steak knife delivered for an omelette; an insistence from a second server that we had ordered two coffees (we had not); and coffee that, upon tasting, was barely warm. When the food arrived, it unfortunately mirrored the trajectory of the service--eggs that were no longer warm and, notably, no appropriate utensils to eat them with. After asking for a knife, what was brought out was a large, wooden-handled steak knife with an oversized blade--again, an odd choice for eggs. To add to the experience, the blade itself was loose within the handle, rendering it both ineffective and somewhat concerning to use. The side of toast followed more than ten minutes later. By that point, hunger had overtaken expectations, and my husband made the best of it. In the meantime, an attempt to season the meal introduced another surprise: both the salt and pepper grinders were coated in a sticky residue, and the salt grinder itself was broken, releasing large clumps rather than anything resembling a controlled pour. At this stage, we had already asked to speak with a manager, as the experience had become less about isolated issues and more about a consistent pattern of inattention across multiple touchpoints--service, cleanliness, timing, and quality control. It's worth noting that this occurred at 1:30 PM on a Sunday--arguably peak brunch hours--yet the dining room was nearly empty. In retrospect, this may have been the most accurate indicator of what was to come. The manager did apologize and briefly stepped away, returning with the bill, which he described as "the best he could do." This ultimately meant full price for my husband's meal and full price for the aforementioned Bloody Mary. Whether this reflects a recent change in ownership or a broader decline in standards, something is clearly off--and until it is meaningfully addressed, I would strongly advise others to steer well clear. Regrettably, this experience suggests not a lapse, but a baseline.
