We ordered the mango habanero and the garlic parm wings, the chicken quesadilla, and the chicken cesar salad. The sauce for the wings were good, but the wings weren't al that flavorful. They were nice and crispy which I loved. The quesadilla was HUGE but the chicken was flavorless. Maybe it's the same chicken for the salad cus that was flavorless too. Best wings hands down! Yes, these wings are smaller than most places and yes their specials are pricier than most places but .40 cents a wing is still such a deal. The wings are cooked to perfection. They do charge an extra $2 for honey BBQ and they are soooo sooo good! We also ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was perfect and the sweet potato fries were so crispy and not soggy like in most places. The service is ok, they did take a little longer than expected to bring the food out. Went here on March 14,2020 to dine for a friends bday. Location: It's on the corner we and there is a decent amount of street parking. Tip: You can park in the business across the street's parking lot(Texpak). When ive been here in the past they checked IDs. I don't know if I've aged rapidly or possibly they were just happy to have customers in light of the Covid scare but we walked right in and we're seated within two minutes. We sat in the booth right by the telephone booth with the ATM. It actually wasn't cold sitting in by the door which was a concern of mine. Food: We got a pitcher of Purple Haze. It was good. Then we got individual drinks- two black widows and a LI Iced Tea. No complaints at all- delicious! Nachos: I got them without beans- very good. Cheesier than I imagined. Not real cheese it's more so like velveeta or the type they sell in jars for tortilla chips. They also were not cheap with the jalapeños. Wings: The flavors selected were mango habanero and bbq. The wings went in a flash! Mac Daddy burger: It has Mac and cheese and is a derivative of short rib. This was really good. The Mac and cheese are shells (velveeta again!). Not too cheesy (probably used it on my nachos) but it was massive in size. The waitress gave us some Irish nachos because the kitchen got something wrong for another table. It was great because I had been wondering what they were like. I wouldn't recommend. It's a bit dry and you need to eat it fast before the cheese gets hard (not velveeta!) The kitchen/bar closed early that day. They made a snappy decision while we were there to close at 11pm. (No we weren't being rowdy!) Alas we didn't get to drink more or have dessert- so the bday celebration ended by midnight. Service: The waitress was a cute girl with amazing curls (the only non Caucasian working there that day) and was beyond friendly. She was super accommodating and checking with us an appropriate amount of times and wasn't annoying like some waitresses can be. (I used to be a cocktail waitress I can say that) She even gave us a buy back because of my husbands stupid large tip. Overall: I always enjoy myself here. The food was great as was the atmosphere. YES a must visit destination! I was in Franklin Square looking for a good place to have some lunch and came across Croxley's. From the outside you'd never know what a gem this place is. Sort of a sleeper that camoflauges itself with a "typical bar" exterior. When you get inside though, completely different story. From the English phone booth, to the seating and brit mop-top pop playing over the sound system, you feel like you escaped Long Island and were teleported to England. The staff was very welcoming, warm and provided great service with a smile. The wings, well simply some of the best I've ever had. Large legs and wings with great buffalo sauce flavor, and not too wet or over sauced either, just perfect. I had a fully loaded Croxly burger with sauteed onion, raw onion, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and a pickle. It was simply delicious. Full flavor, cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had a grilled chicken sandwich with cheddar and mushroom. It was good, but missing something. Maybe some hot sauce? Subjective I know. In all I will be back! Great pub! Came in with a large group of friends and were very happy with everything. The one hang up was that they couldn't accommodate us all together or even split us between a couple of tables and split checks. This is probably my favorite Croxley Ales on Long Island! This location is a bit off the beaten path and has all the same wonderful things you'd find at any other Croxley Ales - namely, BEER. I'm not a big fan of the wings, to be honest. They're tiny and well, just like any other wings. I just come here for the ever-changing list of beers on tap. The most recent addition includes their own 20th Anniversary Ale, which has a whopping 8% ABV (but they have plenty of beers with high ABV numbers in this place anyway). I've review the Croxley's in Farmingdale because it's my favorite location due to parking, interior space, and usually never a wait...but this location is just okay. My sister visited this location a week or two ago, since she just turned 21 and had never been to a Croxley's. Parking is also a hassle. It was almost impossible to find parking. We ended up parking two or three blocks down and pay extra attention to the street signs. The wings and nachos were great, but this location is very small and there was a wait... And due to the small size, the TV and music is extra loud. I can't imagine coming here during game day. Also, I wasn't impressed with the beer and cider menu at all. While they were always known for their large variety of beers in tap, I saw more commercial beer than local craft beer, they only have two ciders (which are commercial and not the greatest, in my opinion) and they only offer one gluten-free beer, which is priced higher than other bars and also the worst one in the market. I ended up ordering a red wine with my wings because of this, which even the server laughed at my alcohol order... And I didn't blame her. I have yet to try the food (although I was salivating watching other people get their wings and bar specialties served to them) but I can comment about the drinks, atmosphere, and service. I wasn't sure what beer I wanted, especially because I had just been at another bar drinking German beers Croxley doesn't carry. After the bartender let me try a few different brews, I gave up and went with a simple Angry Orchard. I wasn't in the mood to continue trying anymore beers or the patience of the really sweet bartender. It's a bit small in this Croxleys but it feels very, very inviting. It is loud enough to feel at home in a bar, but not too loud where you can't have a conversation. The bar was a great host for my friend and I to have a 3 hour conversation. I definitely need to come here soon though to eat. I love wings and I love that they are 10 cents on certain nights, plus they have boneless which is perfect for me because I cannot eat wings without making a mess of myself (seriously, why do I even let myself out of the house?!) TL;DR (too long, didnt read version): Tons of beer choices, Bangin 10 cent wings, super busy M & W nights. Amex and Cash only. I have been coming to Croxleys in FS for a few years. Almost like clockwork Monday and Wednesdays. Hands down one of my favorite bars. The service sometimes is hit or miss, depending on the night and how busy, but usually i am too busy with friends to notice. I've had awesome nights here where i had super attentive waitresses, and others where we weren't sure if our waitress even existed. Expect wait times for tables on Monday and Wednesday nights (10 cent wing nights), esp before 11pm. Tons of beers here to choose from (over 50 on tap). I like trying a new one each time i go. The wings are pretty bangin (def shoot for the Honey BBQ), and you cant beat 10 cent wings. I'm also personally a fan of the Zucchini Sticks. Everyone always raves about the Sweet Potato Fries, also I think the food at the Franklin Square one is better than the Rockville Center and the East Village one, but the crowd and layout in Rockville Center are the best. Croxley's is great, if you can ever find it. Parking is troublesome and watch for the parking signs, some say only an hour, but don't know if they are really enforced. Wing night is a total bargain buster with it only being 10 cents, but be aware there will be an automatic 20% gratuity. Just think if you get 40 wings, which will be $4 and 20% will be 80 cents, so its not as bad as one reviewer mentioned. The reason for only four stars was the really long wait for the wings, almost an hour. I know it was wing night, but how long does it take. The humongous list of beers made the wait bearable though. Long wait for this location. I love the deal for Wings here. The Thai coconut and Korean bbq flavors are sweet and delicious here! They allow parents with their kids here but they don't allow people under 21 even if they don't plan to drink.... I feel like it's discriminatory and should not be like that. If you allow any minor with or without a family to the establishment, you should allow a minor with friends and who doesn't even plan to drink to the establishment. This happened to us, and I felt like this wasn't fair because we had called in advance to ask if know minors were okay and they said yes. When we got there, they didn't let us in. smh.... don't say yes if you weren't going to let us in!
