Crafted is a gem in Tower Grove East. You hear about this cocktail lounge turns brunch hotspot ALL the time on social media. The who's-who of the foodie scene always post about their jawdropping cocktails and delectable meals. My boyfriend and I went to Crafted on a double date with our friends Topher and Khang. The ambience offers the perfect buzz for the brunch scene. The vibe is electric with staff whipping around, serving up drinks and huge plates of food. One of the things Crafted is known for is their pressed cocktails. Such a cute idea for brunch as these warm herbal cocktails are served to you in a french press. It's like breakfast and a show! While my boyfriend warmed up with his pressed cocktail I ordered the Milky Way martini. It was more like a salted caramel martini. Would have liked more pretzel pieces to accentuate the drink, but it made for a cool instagrammable moment. The food menu is SO large. The items were creative yet approachable. My brunch was the bacon and brussel sprout tacos. The flavor combo was perfect, and the tortilla was warm and soft. Even though I was full after eating them, I would have gladly eaten another order. My boyfriend ordered the bloody mary chicken wings because how often do you see that on a menu?! The actual wings were meaty and thick. We thought they were really juicy, however the bloody mary flavor didn't really translate. Would have liked them to be more tomatoey or something? But we did enjoy the chicken wings, did not regret ordering them. read more

Upon entering, we waited in the front of a very not busy restaurant to be greeted. They seemed to be short-staffed as the server seemed to be the only one on the floor that evening. What was bothersome was that the bartender watched us waiting while she continued to just clean the bar, unconcerned about people waiting. Everything about my visit included long wait times. Long wait to be seated (should've been my first clue), long wait to order, long long LONG wait for food. I ordered the Steak Frites, and it was disgusting. Apparently, the cook had to go and shave a piece off because there wasn't any in the kitchen? I saw him saunter back and forth no less than 3 times out of the kitchen while we waited for food. The steak was like beef jerky, and I didn't eat it. I ended up asking for the check when our server finally came back around and gladly left. I'm so bummed about the experience. I won't be back. read more

Eating here was an amazing experience. Everyone's food was exceptional. Our drinks were delicious and an experience. If we weren't traveling, I think we would've gone back again. Our service was exceptional. The staff member was funny, engaging, and knew her product. It was one of those meals that you didn't care what it cost because you enjoyed the entire experience from beginning to end. read more

A group of 5 of us stopped in before a play at Tower Grove Abbey down the road. They had to push 2 tables together, as it seems more of a place frequented by smaller groups. The service was GREAT and the food was OUTSTANDING. Best of all though were the cocktails!!! Just WONDERFUL! I ordered the Buffalo Rangoon and the Flash Fried Brussels Sprouts (both suggested by our waitress), and it was perfect. I had one of the presses and an additional non-pressed cocktail. Got pics, but can't remember which ones they are! Everything was just SO good! I really neeeeeed to get back to this place for brunch! read more

Absolutely love this restaurant! Came here for dinner with my wife and sat out on the patio. It wasn't really busy this evening so it was perfect. From what I can tell in the inside it had a nice atmosphere to it. We had two apps, entrees and two drinks. I have to say everything was so good. I especially LOVED the Buffalo Rangoons. When you come here definitely try those I wanted to buy more. The hand pressed drinks were very different from what I'm use to and really like the touch this gives to the restaurant. That Chicken sandwich was on point with the heat but it was so good I couldn't put it down. The ranch slaw definitely cut the heat some and that was very nice. I highly recommend this place and I will be back for more! read more

My friend group has had Crafted on our must-eat restaurants for awhile and we finally found an evening to try it out. We were very excited after previewing the menu and the social media hype. However, we were truly disappointed. We had a reservation for 7:30pm on a Friday night and expected a busy restaurant. It was dead. It was us and one guest at the bar. We were crammed into a very small table while dozens of open tables surrounded us. Despite us being the only table, service was still extremely slow from our waitress. We actually had to get up and get silverware ourself. However, the drinks did come out very quickly and were good. I wouldn't say they are worth the hefty price tag though. The food was decent, but didn't WOW us. We all started with the Buffalo Chicken Rangoons , which reminded us of Sygoon's from Syberg's. For our entrees, we had the steak and fries, mac and cheese, and blackened chicken pasta. At the end, our server struggled to split our checks up and it was a long process to pay. They automatically charged a 20% service fee for a large group, but then tried to ask for an additional tip on top of this. Overall, I would give the food and drinks a second try, but the service and experience of the restaurant will probably keep us from returning. read more

Updated review: we had dinner here! Tried the chicken pasta... it was okay. The sauce wasn't like any sauce I've had before. It was thicker and hung to your stomach more. Can't say I loved it but the chicken on top was good! Perfectly cooked but it wasn't blending and complimenting the pasta well. IMO. The buffalo cauliflower we did not enjoy. The cauliflower was huge, not bite sized pieces. That wasn't the problem tho. The problem was the coating. Idk what that was but the texture threw us off. It resembled almost like a candied coating w/o the candy flavor. It was crispy yes, no chance off soggy ness at all but we were hoping for it to sog a bit so the texture would soften. Unfortunately we ended up sending it back. The Brussel sprouts were great during brunch. Dinner.. it was just too much lemon. Needed more char. Needed more garlic maybe? I took them home tho and reduced the lemon taste with balsamic vinaigrette, worked for me! I'm not reducing any stars though because brunch is always a hit. One of my fav brunches to this day! read more

I want to like this place so badly, but unfortunately my last visit here was not too fantastic. Came with a friend on a slow Tuesday night. We started off with a cocktail and a glass of wine that took almost 20 minutes to arrive. (I also noticed it took our table neighbors almost 10 minutes to get a bottle of beer.) My friend ordered wings and a side salad, then I ordered cauliflower wings and fries to split with her. Our drinks were good, but my cauliflower wings had almost no breading on them and were still a bit raw. I've previously ordered takeout from here, and the cauliflower wings had been very different and fantastic. Since our food had taken around an hour to arrive, honestly I was disappointed once it did come. Also note that a four top received all of their food before us even after they came in after we ordered. Our server was super nice so we felt bad about saying anything. I'd say if I did come here again I'd probably sit at the bar where the drink service looked faster and probably just get some cold apps or salad. read more

Ashley was amazing! We stopped to try the espresso and old fashioned flights, and she made our trip extra enjoyable!! The drinks were awesome and the service was even better! I highly recommend!! read more

Splitting small plates with my date is my new favorite hobby. Crafted delivered very well! Buffalo Cauliflower had a ton of flavor and was an excellent portion. The deviled eggs had a fancy name that I don't remember, but I was so glad that the server recommended that we put the candied back on top of the deviled egg when we bit in. My date has been asking when we can go back, basically since the next day. Our third small plate was a steak kebab, it was very good, but the cauliflower and eggs won out on this visit. Excellent date spot, we sat on the patio and enjoyed the breeze. read more

Stopped in for Taco Week and caught their weekday Happy Hour. Tried 5 different tacos and loved every single one! Super flavorful, and their green salsa was delicious. Happy Hour beer enhanced the experience (especially with a chilled mug). And the bartender Erica was very friendly and on top of things, even as the dinner crowd started to arrived. Great music and excellent vibes. read more

Great location for a city style brunch! The vibes were hipster appropriate and really brings city life a new name! The waitress could have been more attentive towards the end however she was very friendly! I wish they had more brunch options to choose from but that won't stop me from returning! Thank you Crafted! read more

This was our first visit. Service was excellent, - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. It was brunch and we ordered tomato juice but they didn't have it so we took Bloody Mary mix with no alcohol instead - a great substitute. Then they brought our food. This place takes plain old avocado toast to a new level with a little pork belly and balsamic drizzle. The chicken salad club was beautiful and tasty especially with the house made blue cheese dressing. Breakfast sandwich was also good and the potatoes served with it were even better. Price was reasonable. Looking forward to going back for dinner soon. read more

Was there last night, maybe the last customer. Was meeting someone for a drink I belive I arrived there between the times of 9:30-9:45pm my understanding they close at one or like before.. actually had gotten one drink was still talking to whoever I came there to meet and was definitely rushed out of there, I came there to get a drink for my birthday thanks for my only experience being here ever and I definitely won't come back, and if it's not worth staying open why would I come back ... read more

Pros: 1. The drinks were very good ranging from their take on classic cocktails to a whiskey flight. 2. Servers were friendly and service was very prompt. The servers have a tip pool which we learned when one server was leaving for the night and we offered to close out with her before another server took over. I could see this being a plus or minus for the staff. 3. The food was reasonably priced and overall above average. Really enjoyed the meatballs and the whipped goat cheese as our two appetizers. Cons: 1. The ambience was a little lacking. Basically two separate smaller rooms with high top tables. 2. I think it would be a challenge for individuals with disabilities given the aforementioned high top tables. (It is possible that there may have been some accommodations that I just didn't recognize). Overall, if I lived in the neighborhood, I could see myself intermittently grabbing a bite here. It is definitely on the more casual side. Wouldn't necessarily go here on a date night or big dinner out though. read more

Hidden gem! My friend raved about this place, especially the bottomless mimosas and needless to say, it didn't disappoint. I came here with said friend Sunday morning, May 5th, and were seated immediately. In case you were wondering, we got there at 10:15 and there was no wait. With the weather being nice, we opted to sit outside under the umbrella. One of the things that attracted me to this place besides the bottomless mimosas were the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy yet tender and the waffles had the right amount of crunch- not too soft but not hard either. Also, I love the fact that you can change up which juice you'd like for your mimosa. I opted for the pineapple, which was delicious and refreshing. Kudos to the server(s), who kept both our glasses full without having to ask. It makes the experience that much better. Will I be back? Do you even have to ask? Of course! read more

First time at Crafted and honestly I have nothing bad to say! Very intimate atmosphere that's perfect for a date night. The drinks were made well and the food even better! Ashley took care of my party and I. She is very friendly and attentive. Food was amazing!

Visiting St. Louis for an overnight work trip and got an Air BnB in the Tower Grove neighborhood. Looked up dinner places and "Crafted." showed up, it had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. My waiter, Cole, was very nice and attentive but service was slow despite very few diners. I was excited to see a vegetarian option on the menu, the Nashville Hot Cauliflower Sandwich. That's where my excitement ended. The batter on the cauliflower was sweet, which I don't believe is traditional for Nashvillle Hot Chicken. It was also grainy and wouldn't stay on the cauliflower. The hot oil sauce for the cauliflower was barely spicy, but I'll chalk that up to my NM roots and spicy green chile. The cauliflower was undercooked and about 30% of it was core and practically inedible because it was too hard to bite through. The pickles tasted like soap, but the slaw was good and so were the fries! I ordered a side salad which came out after I had finished eating my main dish. After mixing up the dressing in the salad, I found that a good amount of the spring mix was frozen and wilted/slimy. The patio is poorly lit, some Edison bulb string lights or some lanterns on the tables would have been nice. An upgrade to the decor would help improve the vibe of this restaurant so much! Crafted. is in a wonderful location but the execution is just not quite there. read more

Our stop at crafted was a pivot when the place we wanted to go for bloody marys was closed. So glad I stopped in! The places is super cute. The drinks are fantastic. Highly recommend their bloody maria. Though we didn't eat the food that came out all looked great. The bartender was absolutely awesome, knowledgeable, and engaging. The only negative was there was only one bartender and he was clearly overwhelmed. This led service at the bar to be a bit slow. Still, I'll definitely be back! read more

It's been a few months since I've eaten at Crafted so I was so excited when I got to attend an event here this week. Parking was pretty easy with street parking in the neighborhood, but I can see it getting a little more competitive in the summer when the weather is nice. It was happy hour and I had one of their signature old fashions and their seasonal sangria- both of which were great. The highlight of my night was their brussels sprouts, we had the parmesan sprouts which were incredible but when the owner, Dani, mentioned their Thai chili sprouts I knew I'd have to go back. They're working back to their pre-COVID business hours and with spring and summer on their way, brunch at Crafted is on my to-do list. read more

I had an incredibly pleasant experience at Crafted over the weekend. My friend and I were wanting some drinks and nibbles and we came to the right place. It was around 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday night and to our luck, we were able to snag two spots at the bar. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menus. The signature pressed cocktails were off the charts delicious, and not to mention strong. I ordered the Pepper Fruit Press cocktail and two of those bad boys had me feelin' good. My date had the Blueberry Smash, both were yummy. The food was equally as impressive. I picked the Blackened Chicken Pasta and OH. MY. GOD. I just about licked that bowl clean, with no evidence left behind. Highly recommend trying this pasta dish! My friend described her Crafted Burger as "The best burger I've ever had" so I'm guessing it was quite tasty as well. Long story short, we enjoyed our visit tremendously. The waitress recommended coming back for the $10 bottomless mimosa brunch, so that's happening very soon! I'm glad I found this gem. It may even be my new favorite spot. read more

I just decided to go out for a walk at night. On my way home I decided to stop at Crafted and get a beer. When I saw the burger on the menu that sounded great as well, and being a Monday night both were on special. The burger was fantastic and I will definitely be going back again. read more

This is a great little neighborhood restaurant. The drinks were yummy and fun. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. We, the adults, split a cheese burger. It was one of the best cheeseburgers I've ever had. I was blown away. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it wasn't really kid friendly. We brought 2 kids there and thankfully found something for both of them to eat. The staff was great as well. read more

Crafted. I've driven by several times and have wanted to visit this establishment for at least six months and finally had the chance to do so. The staff and patrons were extremely kind as I was able to easily strike up a conversation at the bar. The food itself was ok/good. Food: Beef kabob - Beed was tender. I didn't care too much for the sauce. Chicken wings - Standard chicken wings Cauliflower wings - Good flavor, but needs to have a crunchier texture. Crab cake - I guess I'm not a fan of crab cakes. Drinks: The Grey Lady and the Winter Solstice were both well mixed drinks. All in all, I would consider coming back to try the entre items or grab drinks at the bar, but I would never order the small plates again. read more

Cute neighborhood gastropub in East Tower grove without a lot of other places around it. Have delicious food and a creative drink list. Also have a very large bar as well as a couple seat-yourself tables I got a veggie burger and the "peachy keen" and was very impressed. Some of their drinks are served in a French press, and you get to mix the ingredients, and see the colors change, yourself. Some of their other drinks had very creative ingredients as well, such as cotton candy and hot chocolate. Also have brunch. read more

I used to go to this location frequently when it had a different name. I'm rounding up from 4.5 stars This morning, on recommendation of server, I ordered the brunch special: their take on huevos rancheros w chorizo sausage. See picture. Great presentation. My meal included: Eggs, chorizo sausage, avocado relish refried beans, cilantro lime crema, cotija cheese, tomato, onion, and breakfast potatoes. Nice amount of heat....not overwhelming. I personally would have appreciated being offered an option to make hotter...whether it be hot sauce or pepper, add jalapeno...etc. I really enjoyed the crema and relish. Pricing seems reasonable for area (around $20 for a craft beer, coffee, and food). Coffee was tasty, hot, and fresh. I also ordered Dale's Pale Ale. I lucked out this AM with parking and finding an open spot at the bar. It was fairly busy, yet I got my food in a timely fashion. Friendly service. I could see parking being a bit challenging at times, and on holidays / busy times, it may be a good idea to call ahead, as there may be a wait. I'll definitely be back. I also want to try their eggs Benedict, scramble, and hash. A patron next to me ordered french toast. They liked it...but the bread was very thin such that I wasn't sure what they had ordered (it reminded me more of a pancake than French toast from appearance alone) read more
