    Chicken House Salad - Full

Comfortable, friendly casual pub in Compton Heights area. Went for Saturday lunch and saw brunch menu as well. Hurray! Table service. Cocktails and beer, wine on menu. Their menu is marked for gf, vegetarian plates. Another Hurray! Kitchen was a little slow with orders, but food was pretty and delicious. Even had entertainment. Enjoyed!

Picked this spot as a recommendation for supporting a women owned business for International Women's day. Cozy date night spot with good cocktails. I like an old fashioned and to my delight they had a whole assortment to choose from (as well as espresso martinis). Dined on some tasty Buffalo cauliflower and ribeye steak. Service was quick and staff was friendly. Street parking but plenty of it around the neighborhood.

Crafted was the perfect restaurant/bar feel brunch spot. They have so many delicious options, the service from the crew was delightful, and overall a nice atmosphere I ordered brunch, and selected chicken and waffles! They were delicious, fresh, and I'd certainly order it again. The orange juice me and my boyfriend ordered tasted pretty weird though (like orangey water?). Nice brunch overall

Everything was great! From the food to the staff, it was an all around wonderful evening. My wife is celiac and finding places that have options for her is tough, and usually she ends up sick anyway. Not here though! They had so many options for gluten free foods that my wife got a little carried away and wanted to try them all. Truffle fries are not pictured but they were very good, I would recommend just mayonnaise to dip them in though because the sauce is good, but overshadowed the fries. I am not gluten free at all, but for my wife's sake we got a bunch of options and just shared. I honestly thought the chicken buffalo sandwich (I'm the one that did the horrible cutting job) was mistakenly given to us in the glutinous version. It was not though, it was just that good! Highly recommend!

This review is a combination of a summer of 2024 and January of 2025 visit. Service here is ALWAYS on point. The ambiance has date night vibes while allowing for imbibe with friends vibes. The drinks are always amazing. My standard is the Buffalo Chicken Rangoon. It's offered for all services, including brunch! It's the only time I like blue cheese crumbles (on their rangoon). The chicken and waffle missed the mark a bit with the chicken. I like it a bit more brown and flavorful but I carried on. Lastly, the January visit entailed garlic parmesan chicken wings and a chocolatini. The wings were fried hard and fresh out the grease. The chunks of garlic parmesan that fell to the bottom of the basket may have gotten eaten by itself. I may have ordered two chocolatinis and took the edge of my knife to scoop the syrup out from the bottom. Only my friend will know the truth behind the last two statements.

Came on a Friday night, and was seated around 8:15 PM for a party of 2. The drinks were good but came in very small portions, the espresso martini was halfway filled in the glass. However, the marshmallow espresso martini tasted very good and was a creative drink. The spritz was pretty standard. Ordered our food at 8:25. Waited around an hour for our food and got it at 9:30. Tables were empty near us and we still waited for so long. Unfortunately, we will not come back due to such a long wait time. As we got our food, the restaurant was almost cleared out. The cheesesteak was dry and oily, and the steak sides bland. Our server was very nice, and took off a drink from our bill for the wait. Service was great; just poor timing and mediocre food. Only highlight of the night was our server and drinks.

We got to Crafted right before the rush. First time here outside of brunch. Great service with three people running the show. Bartender, server/host, and owner. I ordered the Gin Blossom since it includes one of my local favorites, The Big O. It was delicious. Light, fruity, and the hint of ginger We ordered wings since it St. Louis Wing Week. Buffalo style, large wings, lots of sauce. Very good. Brussels sprouts appetizer as my entree. Large portion and very good. I'll be back for brunch or dinner!

Oh my goddess D E L I C I O U S N E S S. Dax was our server and he was so kind. I told him I was keto and he gave me all the keto options. I was so patient going over options with me. I ended up getting an old-fashioned per his recommendation, and I was not disappointed. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend. Now the food I had no idea they serve food, and I was so impressed. For starters, they had wings, and absolutely so tender, full of flavor, and just the right amount of spice. I also tried their brussels sprouts and they were toasted, but not super crunchy and had Parmesan and some other flavor on them and I could eat these every single day. No problem. These are also keto and I was so happy. I tried their vegetables as well with their feta dip, and teraziki dip, both were delicious. If you're looking for some spice, definitely get the feta dip and if you want something more settle with no space definitely get the teraziki. The inside was so nice, quant, very unique looking inside. The restaurant was very clean. Plenty of seating. I will definitely be back l, Dax was a fabulous bartender!

We came in for brunch and there was a great musician playing the guitar and singing. There was delicious food and beautifully crafted cocktails. Sunday the bartender is fantasti!

I've driven by here a number of times and I am a fan of craft cocktails so I thought it would be nice to check it out before heading to the Fox. For a place that has been open for years, it seemed to lack the finesse of one that has. We were greeted and everyone that worked there was incredible nice. That's what a saving the review. But two people came up to take care of us and throughout my time there, they had no way of checking people in that had reservations or know where to seat them, etc. So they say they do food and cocktails, but there were really only 4 entrees and 5 crafted cocktails...one which is sangria and there was no fruit and it was delivered in a small glass. I don't think St. Louis gets sangria. They also have sandwiches, which made up a whole column on the menu. We ordered the whipped goat cheese and it was probably the best part of the meal. Goat cheese, honey, cranberries and pistachios served with pita. Would eat again. For entrees we ordered the PBST (pork belly, sprouts , tomato with a pesto mayo) and the buffalo chicken sandwich. One with Parmesan truffle fries and one with regular. Fries were definitely undercooked (soggy) and I got very little truffle. While the pork belly was good, it was maybe 35% fat and could have been trimmed a little more. And it needed to be on a more sturdy bread. Wheat bread did not cut it. The mayo made it soft and it couldn't hold together. The buffalo chicken sandwich barely had any buffalo on it and could have been tossed in sauce. And they didn't share any of the available cheeses on the menu OR say what everything was battered in since it's all gluten free. The place is 90% tall tables, which is fine, but you shouldn't have to "set up" a table for diners. I didn't realize this place had been rehabbed by some TV show. It seems that maybe they got their orders from there and just kind of stuck with it. It could use an infusion of creativity and maybe some more structured service, but keep the people you have. They are all very sweet.

Stopped by during Happy Hour on a Friday evening and it took so long to get seated we almost left. However, we stayed and were glad we did. A big thank you to our server Viviana who took care of us. My wife had tripped on a curb across the street and not only did Viviana bring her a band-aid but a Tide Pen, as well. Definitely above and beyond service. Thanks Viviana!!

The cocktail list is solid, and the beer selection is seriously impressive, packed with a great mix of local breweries and unique options. There's also a nice outdoor seating area, but honestly, the magic of this spot is at the bar. The atmosphere there really brings everything together. One of the coolest touches is the large display of vinyl records, it adds a ton of character and gives the whole place a unique, almost nostalgic energy. We didn't try the food this time since we just stopped in for drinks, but it's definitely on the list for next visit. Looking forward to coming back and spending more time enjoying this gem of a spot.

'ssippi is a new(ish) wine bar set towards the western end of the collection of bars, restaurants, and shops that are the heart of the strip. The inside has a large wrap about bar and some limited seating. There is a very good selection of wine and mixed drinks and an okay selection of beer. The prices are reasonable. There is a very limited food menu which largely consists of snacks rather than proper entrees. So this is a great pre/post drink spot rather than somewhere you would spend an evening. The bartenders were fine. Nothing stood out either in a good or bad way. The mixed drink my wife had was very good. The orange wine I had was good, a bit on the dry side but overall no complaints from either of us. Without a highlight of the spot is the large patio. It is mostly taken up by large bench style seating. So you have to be okay sitting next to strangers. I actually enjoy these types of settings and I ended up chatting up the group to our right. There are a couple tables but they are few and far between. There are some overhead canopies and lights, and there was a nice vibe and energy. I was there and it was crowded. I really enjoyed it. Just two additional things to note. The bathroom line was very long. It must only be one stall. The entire time I was there it was a dozen people deep. The only other downside is that my wife and I felt old. The vibe on a late(ish) Saturday night was mainly 20 year olds. If I was in grad school or a recent graduate I would absolutely adore this place. Even if your 30s this probably is a good vibe. Once you hit 40 though you may feel a bit out of place on busy nights (or it will make you feel young again!)

I tried the Pretty in Pink cocktail, which was well-balanced and enjoyable, though the pour felt a bit light for a martini. Normally one martini gives me a slight buzz, but that wasn't the case here. Surprisingly, it still worked. I ordered the Good Burger, and it was honestly one of the most flavorful smash burgers I've ever had. I was genuinely impressed. I got the sauce on the side since it also came with the onion rings, and unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of it -- it was a bit runny and lacked flavor. My friend ordered the vegan burger and absolutely loved it. The inside of the restaurant was cute and had a great atmosphere, though there was an unusual smell indoors, so I was very thankful we were able to grab one of the outdoor tables.
