My husband and I have been here twice and I cannot recommend it enough. The food is so good - you can taste the kitchen's attention to detail in every bite. We have gotten the biscuits both times we've been, and I can't stop thinking about them. I can also enthusiastically recommend the short rib, the pastas, the lo mein, and the chocolate mousse dessert. Great cocktails, great service, and awesome vibes. Love it here.

A lovely stop for a drink and a bite before the theatre. Our bartender was attentive and not too chatty. The space has an industrial but cozy feel, like you are at a family bar. I had the Mushroom Risotto and it was delicious.

We saw a matinee performance of Frozen at The Paramount yesterday and after the show we went this new-to-us restaurant for a post-theater dinner. It was great to walk just a couple streets over to dine at Craft Urban after the musical. Someone at my Pilates club recommended this restaurant to me. So glad we went. When you walk in, there's a bar area across from the kitchen with a few tables close to the kitchen. Past the bar there's the dining room and also stairs for a second level dining room. My husband started with an old-fashioned, which was on point. For dinner, I had the butternut squash gnocchi and my husband had the pork chop. I only had about a dozen gnocchi on my plate so my dish wasn't filling. The gnocchi, though, were light and pillowy - just a small portion. My husband's pork was slightly pink but still a little dry. The taste of the pork was very good. I know, because I snagged a few bites. We decided not to get an appetizer like we usually do when we saw the dessert on the Sunday specials. We split a yummy ice cream sundae made with Graham's cinnamon ice cream with apple pie filling and chunks of pie crust. Yes, please! We had great service from Masha, who was attentive and friendly. I liked that the manager Stephanie came by our table for a chat. You could tell she cares about her customers as I saw her going about the restaurant visiting tables. It really matters to me when management takes the time to stop by. In reading other reviews, portion size is an issue with others and also the restaurant charge. I can agree with the portion size, but read your bill as it clearly states you can ask them to remove the small restaurant fee. I'm happy to have another decent restaurant in downtown Aurora to go to after we enjoy a performance at the Paramount. I'll definitely be back, and I do recommend it for your pre-or post-theater dining.

New drink specials. Delicious!

First time there. Squeezed us in on a Saturday night without a reservation. Will return. Great service. Friendly. Everyone passing by was attentive to our table. Delicious cocktails and nachos. I can't handle a ton of spice. Nachos a little messy to eat without melted cheese to hold stuff on. Beans wouldn't stay on nachos. Chunks of meat flavorful. Pickled peppers and onions weren't overpowering. I normally hate a cheese sauce on nachos but this was delicious. Salty in a great way. Very fresh chips. Seasonal cocktail specials delicious $13 each. Reasonable for strength and care to prepare. An apple a day and chicks before pricks were my favorites. My husband enjoyed the Clare witch project and the espresso martini. They were good I just don't like whiskey or Tito's. Looking forward to returning for entrees. Great outdoor patio for when weather warmer.

So tasty!! Def try the buffalo cauliflower! Soooo delicious! And the Korean chicken tacos were also great! Our server Katie was amazing! Def make a reservation, and give yourself plenty of time if you are catching a show, as the kitchen has trouble keeping up with orders. But my friend and I had a great well-paces dinner, 1 hr 40 mins, made our show, and didn't feel rushed!

Made a reservation and were seated about 10 mins later. We asked to be seated outside so maybe that's why we had to wait a little bit but no big deal. Restaurant was about 50% full; maybe less. I liked the vibe of the outside, the patio was very nice and the music got progressively better as the night went on. Overall the food was pretty good. The tacos were a bit watery though so the tortillas were a bit doggy. The drinks were good - I especially enjoyed the High Five.

Great burgers, friendly staff, awesome decor and art. This is a wonderful date night. I went for the Monday 1/2 price burgers and finished with the seasonal sundae. This one was a chocolate strawberry. Delicious!

Over the past summer I discovered this location and the one in Geneva by biking past it. Last night we had a chance to stop and give it a try. Seemed like fate as I had gone on two rides during the day and I was damn hungry. The menu here isn't very big, but the dozen or so entree choices have a good range - most will find several dishes that they enjoy. Brisket is my thing and a brisket burger isn't something that you see on many menu's, so I went with it. This was mouth-wateringly good..so much so that in my hungry state, I could have had another. Well, probably not, but it was that good! The dish came with a side of fries but I believe they had other sides to choose from. I also learned that burgers are half off on Monday's..so I can tell you when I'll be back. My wife had the "The World's Best Nacho's" as they were called on the menu. She wasn't ready to give them that much credit, but did really enjoy them. They have a solid beer beverage menu here with a full bar where they can make just about anything. I'm a beer guy and found an Oktoberfest Marzen by On Tour Brewing in Chicago that really hit the spot. Really loved the atmosphere here. I enjoy art and really enjoyed the large wall mural with several pieces of art hanging throughout the restaurant. Service was great and quick. I'm really looking forward to our next stop in. Cheers!

Food tastes great and drinks are good, however not enough bang for your buck. Left still feeling hungry after spending $35+ for one person.

Look at some art while sipping on a few cocktails. The prices aren't bad especially at happy hours. Checked it out before going to see a play and it was big time ass busy. It's one of the nicer bars in town to be certain. There's all kinds of fancy cocktails such as the namesake obviously. Go at the happy hour and save a few bucks. It's $6 for any of the French 75 variations. Happy hour is Tuesdays through Fridays 4 to 6 in the evening. The Blanc is Bombay Dry Gin, Brut, lemon juice, and simple syrup. It's about $9 for appetizers. The Marinated Olives are nice to munch on. Also they have charcuterie boards. These are great for groups and parties. Has quite an interesting combination. It's open every evening with plenty of art to check out. They have a happy hour weekdays and are open later Fridays and Saturdays.

Absolutely fantastic! I originally didn't think much of this place when checking out the menu…read moreonline because the food choices didn't look super interesting and the prices were a bit on the lower side. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was completely wrong --- the portions are enormous, the textures are great, the flavors are incredible, and everything I tried was done very well. This is on top of fast friendly service, and a very unique interior. I went here with 3 friends and would absolutely love to come back again soon with even more. As I mentioned, the food here is just awesome. It's clear how much care is put into every single dish with the great presentation, attention to small details, and refined product. I highly recommend the tuna poke, maybe one of the best versions I've ever had of this dish. This has plenty of fish on top of extremely crispy wonton chips. The mix of creamy avocado puree, jalapeno salsa, honey wasabi, and sriracha aioli is incredible. This reminds me of the bold flavor combinations at Girl and the Goat at a lower price point. The bang bang shrimp was another winner with super crispy tempura shrimp served with a delicious sweet chili sauce and cabbage slaw. For anyone who's ever had this dish at Bonefish Grill, you'll be thrilled with this version as well which comes with a very generous amount of shrimp. The burgers were also on point -- both enormous in size and full of flavor in every layer. In addition to perfectly cooked patties (this was great for both the beef and bison I tried), I was pleased that all the components of the burger were very flavorful and well done. That is, the brioche bread was slightly toasted inside, the pickles had just the right level of acidity and texture, the pork belly was super flavorful in itself and cooked great without making the dish feel too fatty, the egg was slightly runny, and the vegetables were all super fresh. Unsurprisingly, their sides were prepared to perfection as well -- with crunchy onion rings and super tasty fries. Overall, this restaurant is worth a special trip and I aim to try every single starter they make soon. It's not often that I'll be thinking about a restaurant long after dining there but the excellence displayed here has left a lasting impression both with myself and my friends that dined here. The excellent meal here definitely made for a very memorable birthday dinner for the party.

The poached pears were exquisite. The fresh spinach and thin-sliced pears were the perfect bed (better than arugula would have been) and the crans, feta and crushed nuts were great for balance and texture. But let's talk about that chicken's agave marinade. It was zesty with a slight acidic citrus to balance the sweetness from the pear. The whole deal was delicious. And with the maple-dijon vinaigrette to top it off - well, that topped it off! My buddy got a Hippie Chic sandwich and he liked it very much too. I don't usually write reviews on first visits and certainly never before for a salad but the Vault is a gem that should be on full display, not locked away!

There were two waitresses in our area and it was clear ours was not as serious about their job as the other. We waited long enough after being seated to start to wonder id we had been forgotten. Two other tables (seated after us by the other waitress) had been seated and got drinks before our someone came to our table. When I did get my water it had plastic wrap in it. The other waitress took it from us to get a new one. No sorry, nothing. Acted like nothing happened. Our waitress delivered the new one 10 solid minutes later. It was Not super busy at this time. Why so long? And again no acknowledgement of the plastic.. couldnt get myself to drink anything else with worry of contamination of the ice box. Order the california chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts. My mother had the smash burger. She seemed to enjoy it though both sandwiches were stacked super tall and mine had two huge thick red o ions on it. A bit overpowering but mine was good after that was removed. Brussel sprouts were significantly salty. Wasnt able to get through them. My mom got the fries and tho were standard. She also got a bloody mary. It was alright she seemed to enjoy it. Waitress was a little sarcastic with us for no reason and the plastic and just overall service was unfortunate. It was enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth and I dont plan to return.

Altavida is a new addition to the downtown Naperville area as they have only been open for 3 weeks…read more It has taken over The Craftsman building which offers three floors. Altavida's concepts for the three levels are Publico, Rumba, and Altura. Publico (1st Flr)- A South American fusion of food and drinks that will be rotating. The cocktails will be more tequila and mezcal based and food will be subtly rotated based on trends happening in South America. The food menu currently offers tapas, empanadas, ceviche, guacamoles, larger format meat/seafood entrees, and more. They will have a front of our bar as well as a back bar that will specialize in more coffees/coffee cocktails. Rumba (2nd Flr)- The entertainment floor! There is a separate bar on this floor that will specialize in more Rum based cocktails. Additionally, they will have a wine bar area with wines in tap. Lastly, they will have an open area for live music as well as dancing. Their hope is to have a mix of jazz, club music, salsa dancing options available. Altura (3rd Flr)- This floor is still under construction but will have a rooftop patio. The hope is that this space will be an event space both for public and private events. Back to my experience! My partner and I stopped in for a cocktail and to see what Altavida was about. Our first bartender was very nice but was still getting used to the drink recipes and was leaning on their cheat sheets. While we waited, another bartender kindly told us all about the restaurant and its focus on hospitality. Unfortunately, each bartender had a slightly different explanation of the restaurant's goal concepts which was confusing. We ended up ordering the El Toro and Vaquero (both mezcal drinks). Both were VERY spirit forward to the point that it may have needed better balance. Both drinks had a nice presentation with garnishes, color, and a skull feature at the bottom of the glass. Lastly, we saw many people walk up and look confused as there was no formal host stand. They didn't know if they should seat themselves or wait for someone. Overall, there still seems to be some kinks needing to be worked out as well as some conceptual editing. I feel they are trying to achieve too much and it ends up being confusing for staff and guests. I hope with time, Altavida is extremely successful in the Naperville area and I hope to circle back after some time passes.

I loved the modern decor and lively music being played. The place is truly colorful and has a very energetic vibe. The service was excellent. Everyone was extremely kind and happy to help. Edwin, the general manager was so friendly and accommodating by making sure that everything was to our liking. He is a gem. My husband and I ordered a few different tapas to share. We started with the empanadas and they were truly 10/10, highly recommend! We had the beef and chicken with the chimichurri sauce. We also tried the papas bravas and those were delicious as well. They are spicy and have a nice kick. The portion is pretty big and shareable. Last, we had chicken en mole. Omg, so good! They knocked it out of the park with this one. The presentation is very pleasing and the flavor is 10/10! I'm a hot sauce girly and even carry it in my bag just in case. The sauce they had in the dish was so good that I didn't even think about adding hot sauce! The rice and chicken along with the sauce is chef's kiss. I also tried the Brussels sprouts but they were my least favorite of everything. They should go back to the drawing board on that one. The drinks we had were solid. My husband had an espresso martini and dragonfruit margarita, while I had a mango margarita. All were good. Needless to say, I had an amazing evening at Altavida! The dancing on the second floor was also very fun and entertaining. I will definitely be a regular here!
