Expensive but usually worth the extra few dollars. This is one of the few places I'll go get a mixed drink instead of beer, though they have both + plenty of wine (looks like they actually invested quite a bit of money in a wine distribution system behind the bar). Atmosphere and service are 5 stars easily; their bartenders I'm sure have to put up with all sorts of picky drink orders and help people who don't know the first thing about cocktails (such as myself) find something they like it, but they seem to actually enjoy it. Their menu is limited but good; I have snacked on pretzel bites at the bar and sat down for a wood fired pizza. Don't waste a trip to Craft & Vine if you're hammered or you want cheap greasy food - start the evening here, take your time, try something new. read more

Craft & Vine used to be a good place to get a drink and a bite to eat but those days are gone. The bar is now staffed with pretentious hipster douches that are rude and confrontational. A few friends and I (all in the Navy and in uniform) decided to stop in for a drink after our yearly Khaki Ball last night (9/23/16). After ordering drinks and food the bar tender, a bearded fellow who thought highly of himself, accused me of pouring liquor from a flask in my pocket into my glass (full disclosure: I did have a flask in my pocket, brought to our Ball but it was empty). As I tried to explain to the gentleman that he must be mistaken, I did not pour anything out of my flask and could not because it had long since been emptied, he called me a liar, got the manager and they both threatened to have me removed from the bar. No need to have me removed as I was more than happy to take my business elsewhere (down to the street to Whiskey Bar Kitchen) as were my friends and their spouses after the treatment we received that night. To be fair, the drinks were not bad (I had an Old Fashioned that was decent) but the rude staff (including manager) killed it for me and my friends. Will not be going to this place again and if you are a military service member and choose to go here, I would not suggest wearing your uniform (not a military friendly joint). read more

Great service, great atmosphere, beautiful restaurant. Unless your seriously rich, don't go. You will need to spend a lot of money to feel satisfied. The food was good, not great. I really have no complaints other than its pricey. It's nice to splurge every once in a while, and if I feel like splurging again (when I win the lottery), I will be back. read more

Manger doesn't care that the other drunk customers (Who seem to be her personal friends) are acting out and screaming and obviously drunk and should be cut off are disturbing the entire restaurant. Will not come back. As a business owner I would never allow this behavior of others just because there my friends. So if you expect to take your wife out for dinner and be able to talk this is not the place! Hell a night club is better than this environment. read more

The atmosphere is superb with a great attention to detail - the waiting area is comfortable and the staff serves drinks to those in the waiting area. The staff is professional and knowledgable. We enjoyed the table-side conversation with the mgmt staff. The menu was quite a bit more limited than I expected, but everything's we ordered was cooked perfectly and was delicious. We were extremely disappointed when we received our bill for two glasses of wine that totaled $42.00.My wife asked for "A Riesling " and I ordered a $12 Cabernet.That made the cost of the Riesling $27 per glass! including tax to equal $42.00. I guess it's our fault for generically ordering "A Riesling " but it seems unethical to bring an expensive glass instead of a moderately priced option. By the way we couldn't find the Riesling on the wine menu that cost $27.00-of course we understand that wines can be expensive but didn't expect to have one of this cost per glass as the option bought out to us. We didn't want to cause a scene so we paid and left .Very disappointing-we had enjoyed our previous experiences at this restaurant.Hope this wasn't related to Masters price gouging. read more

So glad we found this place. Great ambience, amazing food, and the nicest people around! We had the pretzel bites, that come with a beer-infused cheese sauce... Simply delicious. Next was the fried rabbit legs... WOW! Get this, don't ask questions, just get this. I can not say enough good stuff about this place!!! I have not had a single bite that wasn't out of this world. This is the BEST place to get pizza I've found in the area (and that's not even their specialty). I love how the menu changes often and they use only fresh, seasonal ingredients. Mad the DRINKS!! Every person that works behind that bar is a genius. Calling them bartenders would be demoting them. I always try something new and I'm never disappointed. My Husband and I have lived in Augusta for 2.5 years. We've tried Craft & Vine 3 times over the years. It's absolutely amazing. We use this place for our Valentines Day and Anniversary dinners. Though it's honestly good enough to eat there more it can get expensive simply because you want to try everything lol! Please give them a try though! My husband and I went here for a date night and we could not have been happier with our decision. We knew that we loved the other restaurant, Farmhaus, but we didn't realize how much we would love this place too. When you first walk in you know that this is a modern, beautiful, great place to be. Everything from the décor to the antique drink glasses shows the attention and heart that has been put into this place. The food was amazing! I was a little taken aback by the prices at first glance (because I normally frequent cheaper places) but when our check came at the end of the meal I would have paid even more than I did for the food and experience. We got a delicious cheese and meat platter for starters and then we each got a regular entrée to share. The meal was divine. They also have amazing cocktails that you can hear the bartender shaking like a champion. Everything was fantastic and we will definitely go back. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. Everything was fantastic. First, the ambiance of the restaurant is perfection. It was perfect for date night and I can't wait to have a girls night here as well. The bar service was wonderful. All of the bartenders were very knowledgable. The drinks were absolutely phenomenal and everything was so fresh. My husband enjoyed an old fashioned and a hemmingway (the hemmingway was amazing!) and I sampled a few wines and ended up with the cotes du rhone which was delicious and impressive. We also had the pretzel bites with beer cheese at the bar and it was phenomenal as well. The beer cheese was really just too good. We then sat at our table after waiting for about 35-45 min (we arrived early, just before 6. On a Saturday.) and we knew what we wanted already since viewing the menu at the bar. We ordered 3 items off the charcuterie & cheese menu- Italian prosciutto, Gouda, and cheddar. It was all very, very delicious but we honestly could've done without it since we ordered even more food. (and it would've saved is $15. I didn't feel like that plate should've been $15.) Then we ordered the meatballs with criminis and parmesan. Oh my goodness, just so delicious. And it was a fairly good portion- three bigger meatballs and lots of mushrooms. The sauce was so delicious. THEN we got the pig & fig pizza (see.. Too much food!) and IT. WAS. AMAAAZING. We were just in awe of how delicious it was. (We consider ourselves "foodies" and we've lived in some delicious cities so Augusta has been quite sad for our taste buds.) The prosciutto was perfect, the figs were just too good, the arugula was of plenty and perfectly dressed in balsamic. It was just so good. Wow! The best place on Broad Street. This craft bar could hold its own in Dallas or New Orleans. Not only great drinks & decor, but food is fantastic. I personally prefer their menu & drinks to their related establishment Frog Hollow. Very friendly staff...not stuffy. The folks tending bar know their stuff. Step out of the beer and wine rut and let them work their magic. I knew I was home when the bartender launched into a discourse on Absinthe. And the food is exceptional. On our first visit we tried the oysters, charcuterie & meatballs. The meatballs were ordinary, but the oysters won us over. Perfectly fried and seasoned. Second visit even better...pretzel bites with a tangy dip to get us started, then the oysters followed by the duck confit and Brussels sprouts pizza...sounds weird but definitely not to be missed. Cooked to a perfect medium well state, I could argue it to be the best tasting piece of cuisine I had in a while. This place was beautiful! I loved the ambience of it. I went on a Wednesday evening before 6 for my birthday and it was nice. Crowd hadn't yet come n and the atmosphere was nice. I was just loving it. Great place for a one on one with your significant other to go out, get semi dressed up and engage n conversation. At least thats what we did. Lol! The pork grinds were a treat! Very unexpected. Light and airy and nicely seasoned. Not like the bag for sure. The waitress was very helpful and everything she suggested was great tasting. From the drinks which were the Georgia Sour and another I can't recall were delicious!. Whiskey based so may not be everyone's cup of tea. Had the Trenton pizza based on our waitresses suggestion which was really good had a cheese and meat charcuterie which wAs very well blended, again becuz our waitress was awesome. Great place a must to check out. As the evening grew so did the crowd. Didn't get loud or anything like that. Definitely will visit again. Highly recommend. Bathroom was a bit dark tho. Since when do "samples" cost $7-8??? So dark the waitress carries a flashlight for reading the menu. I was more than pissed off when I got the bill, as the two "samples" I received were a charge, and then the glass of wine I liked was $30!!!! Since I couldn't read the "fine print" on the menu, I thought the price of samples was the cost of a glass. So, my bill for 2 tapas and the wine was, wait for it, SEVENTY TWO $$$$. When I approached the manager, he simply pointed out the prices on the menu, in bright lite, and not even an apology. This ruined my visit. read more

Typically when I go to a restaurant I have to choose between one that has good food, good wine, good beer, or good bourbon. Not so here. They have the gamut covered. Sat at the bar and ordered the specialty deviled eggs. They tasted fine but the texture was way too mushy. Followed that by the pork rinds which were excellent. Home made, well cooked, and tasty. So good I think some vegetarians would like them. When refilling my drink, the waitress bumped the underside of the bar with the glass and immediately replaced the glass. She stated that it would be weird to serve it after touching something. Very nice. No fewer than 4 staff members engaged me while I was there. I also enjoyed that they automatically brought cold water to all patrons and kept the glasses full. Very cool. Very responsible. There was a very large wait between the appetizers and main dish but they recognized it and adjusted the bill accordingly. Excellent waitstaff and excellent management. The only negative about this place is that most of the locals that I spoke to were, well, stuck up. Don't suppose I should ding the restaurant for that ... or should I? I went in skeptical and came out blown away. Although pricey, Craft & Vine is phenomenal. From start to finish the service was awesome. Everyone was very friendly and genuine. The drinks we good, I had the champagne cobbler, little too sweet but good. My husband had the Cuban and it was very fresh tasting. For our food we first ordered the pretzel bits with smoked beer cheese. AMAZING! We then got a meat and cheese tray, also great. We ordered a second helping of the pretzel bites and cheese because it was so delicious. We will definitely be going back again. Wonderful date night spot! Typically, this is one of our favorite restaurants. Some weeks ago on a weekend night my husband and I came to dine here and found a "Closed for Cleaning" sign on the door. So we went elsewhere...Come to find out they were closed because of a fire. Tonight we came to dine again with our kids (as we have many, many times). After being seated we were told of the fire by the server (rather than by the hostess which would have been better timing) and that they had no pizzas (a major part of their menu). We looked over the menu and found minimal options for kids as well as unexciting choices for the adults. In the past, they're very strict about no substitutions - only subtractions. Sadly, even on a limited menu they offered no flexibility. We were informed by our server we'd still pay $18 for a "side of fries" because it'd be the poutin fries menu item with nothing on it (in addition to other menu items that were altered). We left the restaurant without ordering. It's unfortunate they're not more flexible during this time of a limited menu for their regular patrons. read more

I love to visit Augusta and this used to be my favorite place. But unfortunately each time I have visited, the quality has continued to decrease. This last visit will probably be my last. We ordered the cheese and charcuterie plate and it was made for the birds. Living in NYC, if I can get a bigger cheese plate for the same price - something must be wrong. In addition, the chips in the Salmon and Chips were slightly soggy and the Strip Steak was cold upon arrival. After paying almost $200, I left feeling mediocre after a lack luster experience. I'm not sure if this is related to the recent change in Executive Chef or not. With that said, everyone is always VERY friendly and the service is good but I'm not sure that is enough to convince me to return. I'm very excited about the growth of Augusta, but as it gets more competitive, options will become more abundant. I wish Craft lots of success and hope they improve. read more
