Went for lunch on Wednesday and ordered a 10 inch GF vegan pizza. Menu price was 10.95 Ordered a few other toppings. Pizza was just OK. Got the bill and with taxes was $21.00. I will never be ordering a pizza from there again read more

Great atmosphere, great service, good beer, terrible food. Nothing seemed to have any flavor and the nacho meat tasted like cafeteria ground beef. read more

I went there last night and ordered a vegetarian pizza and my husband ordered a hamburger, they both were outstanding ! The service was great and it was nice to sit outside. I will return . The restaurant is beautiful . read more

CHEESEBURGER TOTS!! So good. Our server was Anna- very vivacious and full of personality. :) I got "Steve's favorite" and my husband got the Carolina burger. Both were delicious.... We honestly would come back for the fries, too! We live in Norfolk but we'll make the drive to come here again! read more

Excellent all around, Elise took great care of us, the pizza was superb and the BBQ brisket sandwich was excellent, was as good as most BBQ places I've been too. Great service, price and the location means it will be a local place and not turn into a tourist trap. read more

Craft 31 - Pizza Near Me - Williamsburg, Virginia

Waited until my third visit to write anything but still gets mixed review from me. I have had burger, pizza and a couple of the appetizers. Let's start with the overwhelming positive - we received extraordinary service. The waitresses we have had in all our visits have been wonderful, attentive and very knowledgeable. The location itself is great as is the atmosphere. The food has been good but certainly not worth the price. The burgers are prepared as requested but by the time you add a couple items it can be quite pricey - they call them gourmet burgers but their not that special. The pizza is good but definitely overpriced for the sized and the quality - there are pizza places within a 5 minute drive that certainly much better and definitely not as pricey. For appetizers we have tried the hamburger mac and cheese but certainly nothing special - think Three Cheeses Hamburger Helper in a small bowl. The beer list is pretty impressive BUT again, they are overpriced - maybe at peek times they can get the crazy prices but there are bars in New Town and in CW that have similar selections at lower prices. Perhaps a happy hour or something would help but there is nothing at this location that justifies the prices. We really really want to see this place do well as it's VERY convenient for us but they need to rethink the pricing. read more

We've been coming here for two years a few times a month and it seems to be moving from a great restaurant to an average one. We were in tonight and the manager was vacuuming during the dinner time. Our table as well as many others weren't cleaned up from lunch. The waitress who delivered our food swung her hair over the tray. It would be a shame to see this continue as the restaurant use to be great. Seems a little too loose where they are not paying attention to the details the use too. I was in a few days ago and the kitchen left the chicken off my salad. These aren't big things but they seem to be trending downward. We need a really good restaurant like it was two years ago. Hopefully they'll turn it around. It's definitely turned in to an average restaurant. Been in a couple times since original post and it's been good but not great like year 1. There's a bit of an identity crisis as they are owned by people who own opus so there are good touches but then it's just like another Paul's deli. Not sure what it wants to be. read more

Absolute best burgers in town! And ask for their truffle fries! Brunch is also quite nice here, with a fun Bloody Mary bar. Definitely on the more expensive side if you're ordering things other than burgers and sandwiches ($20-30 entrees). Beer is overpriced, so don't come if you're looking for that. Cocktails are nicer, and the bartender is willing to surprise you with something to suit your tastes that's not on the menu. Atmosphere is perfect for dinnertime conversation. Gave it five stars for wait staff, burgers, brunch, and atmosphere. Would give three or four if just considering alcohol selection l and prices. read more

Had a great IPA with my Peoples Crunch Burger. Very enjoyable. On vacation and just stopped in. Mid afternoon was a great time. Not crowded at all read more

Ordered take out. I literally showed up when my app said it was ready. Walked in, got my food. No problem there. The guy working had on a mask and gloves. But when I got home...(keep in mind we live 6 mins away) our food was not only cold but our hamburger had burnt cheese on it. It was well done and cold! I would have rather have gone to McDonald's then to eat that. At least I would have got my money's worth. It was the worse food that I've had in a long time. So much for supporting local businesses. Yuk. read more

Ny husband I stopped in for a late lunch while visiting Williamsburg. They have a very good selection of beer. We had the oyster for an app and rhey were fresh and tasty with the sauces offered. We have been here several times since they opened. It's extremely hit or miss....mostly it's just "eh". Nothing really great or absolutely horrid but, we probably won't return based on our previous experiences. read more

While visiting on vacation, my husband and I were looking for a brewery and this popped up so we gave it a shot. We went around 12:30 on a Saturday and were sat promptly. While it is not a brewery, they have a fantastic beer list and we were not disappointed with the local selection. We had the smoked wings and raw oysters as appetizers. The smoked wings weren't super smoky tasting which was a huge plus for us. They were cooked perfect and the sauce was great. Oysters were good, but they were smaller than I'm used. My toddler had the chicken fingers which she loved. For lunch he had The Peoples Crunch Burgher which was delicious and cooked perfectly! I built my own pizza and it was absolutely fantastic. Their white sauce is perfect. Cheese and toppings fresh, and dough crispy. Our service was fantastic too! Thanks, Alissa. (I hope I spelled that right!) they give you cards with your servers name which is super helpful, but I forgot to take it! We will definitely be back in August with our extended family!! read more

First visit to this restaurant on my husband's birthday. I reserved a table on OpenTable and made sure to mention that it was a milestone birthday for him in hopes that some acknowledgment would be made at the restaurant. When we arrived, the restaurant was virtually empty, although I have seen it very full in the summer with a long wait. When my husband stepped away I asked the hostess if they acknowledge birthdays and she abruptly said "no we don't really do anything". That was a bit disappointing since I had mentioned it on my reservation, I assumed they would acknowledge it in some small way. Looking at the menu it is not much to get excited about. What you typically would expect in a chain restaurant or bar like atmosphere. Our waitress was young and inexperienced, so my asking to have a couple of items removed from a salad on the menu threw her. I had asked for two items to be removed and asked what they could add in their place, to which she replied I don't think we do substitutions and there would be an "upcharge to add something." For simplicity's sake, I ordered something else but as a vegetarian there weren't many options. The food was OK and the portions generous. I guess my overall impression of this place is that they don't particularly value their dining guests and are mainly interested in selling beer. I give it a "meh". read more

The food is really good and the servers are friendly. The burgers are always cooked right and the potato chips are made from scratch and are always amazing. The pizzas are good and large for the price. read more

This restaurant was recommended by an employee at the Powhatan resort at which we stayed; if not for ONE glaring incident, the rest of the experience was positive. However, we are incredibly disappointed with the poor customer service experience and double standard. Visited yesterday and attempted to sit with my husband while he ordered a full meal and two beverages for us. Because of a medical issue, I brought in my food - yes, from the outside. Rather than directly address it with me or inquire, the [new] manager ran to the back, called the owner, and inquired about whether or not it was "allowed." I was a half dozen bites into my meal when he came out and informed me in front of the other patrons that "outside food isn't allowed...for health policy." Meanwhile, the table beside us had brought in outside food for their toddler. Even if it's policy, how about one standard instead of a DOUBLE STANDARD? I brought in my food because of a medical issue and was also asked what my medical issue was...due to HIPAA, I didn't have to answer him, but here's the photo for reference...THIS is what happens when I eat processed foods, and I'm currently on an elimination diet to try to figure out the cause. All I wanted to do was enjoy a meal with my husband...the restaurant would not have been screwed out of my money because I wasn't going to be eating the restaurant's food no matter what. And my husband ordering and paying for a full meal was still better than them us not visiting at all, correct? I wasn't taking up any seat that another, higher-paying customer would've taken...and I believe we paid for my hot tea. Am I also to believe that it's not ok to take up a seat for one beverage? It was a missed opportunity for a great customer experience, and we will not return. It was no fun to be singled out in front of others and basically health shamed. For what it's worth, my husband did enjoy his meal, and our server was excellent! read more

For our meal we got the Carolina burger and the diner burger which far exceeded our expectations! We're new to the area and didn't know what to expect, but our waiter Joshua made the whole experience. After ordering, our burger came out within 5 minutes and josh diligently checked in to ensure we were being taken care of throughout the meal. We will be back again soon :) read more

Went with a group of friends. Waitress was very friendly,y and he,Paul as well as the floor manager. I ordered the Waggu Hotdog. What a disappointment. The chef over "elevated it." I was hoping for a larger hotdog, with simple Chile WITHOUT beans and vegetables in it, onions, and mustard on the side. What I got was a greasy fried split hotdog with soupy chili with vegetables in it. The bun was stale with black poppy seeds. I could not eat the hotdog in my hands as it was too sloppy. So, I ate it with a knife and fork. I tried the bun but it was mushy and disgusting. The side of tater tots were good. Do NOT order this hotdog. Chef needs to keep it straightforward and simple: nice bun, good hotdog, chili without the etc... the chili was the chili soup not real hotdog chili, onions, etc. you should be able to eat the hotdog with your hands. One of my friends got the fish and chips. That looked good and he said it was delicious. My next visit there, I will order that. A OID the hotdog as it presently is. read more

Fantastic beer selection. Wish they did flights but they do have smaller ounces so you can try a variety so no big issue. We had the BBQ totchoes which were fantastic. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was very very good. The other meal was veggie burger on Texas toast. Wish the toast was a bit more crunchy with more butter but the flavor of the burger was there. For dessert, mixed berry cobbler. Tasted closer to a bread pudding but wonderful none the less. Over great meal and wonderful value. I'll be back read more

The burgers are definitely 5 stars, as I've never been disappointed with any selection I've tried. I recently tried the Virginia burger and loved every bite. The crab cakes added a great flavor to the burger, and it definitely does not have that gross over salty flavor you get with low quality crab cakes. The sweet potato fries have a hint of cinnamon and sugar, and have a nice crunch to them (not like a potato chip, but just a slight crisp). I also enjoy the truffle fries, and when they are not over cooked the new bay chips are great (if you like old bay seasoning). The cheese bread appetizer is served with marinara sauce, I think it's ok but my wife loves it. I'd rather have another helping of sweet potato fries! read more

Great burgers. Staff still learning the ropes so it may take a while to get your food. Give them a break, I'm sure you will love it.

Awesome restaurant. The food was superb and the beer was great. Best of all, the staff was super friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Shane was very helpful with beer and food recommendations. The manager stopped by several times to check on food/service. I highly recommend and would certainly return again! read more

Not ready to give it a 5 star yet because while I loved the burgers, the pizza was just okay. Priced according to size, splitting one for two people just left me hungry. Now, the burgers and the wings are a 5++. Great portion and taste. In fact, the best wings ever. I Staff attentive and very beer knowledgeable. Keeping them on our list. read more

Of course this place has an amazing selection of beer, I don't have to tell you that, I mean the name says it all. I am here to tell you about something very important, the sweet potato fires! I am not kidding as soon as I left I called my mother to tell her they were he best sweet potato fries I have ever had! First they are waffle fries, who doesn't love a waffle fry? Waffle fries are just better. Second they are made with cinnamon! I love them! I wanted to share them with everyone at my table so they could enjoy the delicious taste I was experiencing but at the same time I wanted to be greedy and keep each delicious little burst of flavor to myself. Honestly that is what I did. I kept them all for myself and I don't regret it for a second. read more

We were not really impressed. We were visiting Williamsburg from out of town and wanted to try it because it was on the list of recommendations from our Airbnb host. She was spot on recommending another local place that we enjoyed, so we had high hopes for Craft 31 but were disappointed. The service wasn't very good, the server wasn't friendly, and we felt the menu items were overpriced for what we received. We thought the restaurant was clean and decorated very nice, and the food was pretty good. However, we have dined in many restaurants we enjoyed more and paid less for, so we won't be returning. read more

Blue cheese burger wasn't what I expected (blue cheese was on top of burger instead of blended into patty) but it was a decent burger. The crab pizza was AWESOME and the beer offerings were great. Decent kids menu and the bathroom was very clean. read more

Burger is good with sweet potato waffle fries. Friends had pizza and BBQ sandwich - both said they are tasty. Good service and atmosphere.

The atmosphere is my favorite thing about this restaurant. The porch is so relaxing, and the inside is adorable. The menu has some great options and the alcohol menu is even better. The wait staff has always been helpful, and they do a good job with accommodating large parties, especially if you call ahead. My only reason for a 4 rather than 5 star review is the inconsistency with food. There's some dishes that I've ordered and been in love with, while others left me slightly disappointed. The appetizers are to die for, however, so a night of appetizers and beer is definitely a winner. read more

During our recent trip to Williamsburg we found this place. We travel a lot and normally never go to the same place twice....well.....till now! This place is amazing! They have a great beer selection and the service is on point. Rick and Maddie are the best bartenders around. Their friendliness and personality is the backbone of the bar. Now the food.....shrimp, pizza, wings, everything is amazing. If we ever come to Williamsburg again this place will be our first stop! read more

We found this place here on yelp while visiting the area. Had a late lunch on a Thursday. Not a lot of traffic as expected around that time of day so we were seated right away and the server was at our table within minutes asking for our drink order. Very decent craft beer selection. I wish I could tell you everything we tried but a few days have passed. Beer prices were very reasonable. Food - was - amazing! I got the Carolina BBQ sandwich, two shared a Hawaiian pizza, and the youngest got the cheesiest mac-n-cheese I think he has ever gotten. It was enough that he could not finish it which is a feat in itself. Service was spot on, courteous and knowledgeable about the beers and food. If we are ever back in the area we will be sure to visit again! read more

We were excited to finally try Craft 31. Service was slow but we weren't in a rush. My husband ordered a burger (medium), I got the brisket sandwich and we ordered Chicken strips off the kids menu for my 3 yr old. My husband's burger was WELL done and we let waiter know who offered to replace the half he ate. Ha! The reason I'm writing this first ever Yelp review is because my 3 yr old was served RAW chicken. Fortunately we caught before he ate too much but still not sure what effect it will have. I requested to speak with manager and he offered to recook but we had been there almost 2 hours and were not interested in giving them another shot. He did remove their meals from our tab but still charged for my food which I barely ate after realizing my son had been served raw food. Very disappointed in how this was handled and will definitely not be back. read more

Delicious food and good service! The balcony is a nice place to sit. Oysters are ok and burgers are delicious.

Good solid place for brewpub-y food. We came by for a late bite so the restaurant wasn't super packed, and our service was pretty good - a little slow, but they were likely trying to clean up and skedaddle. One tick off for cleanliness - our booth was a little dodgy and clearing dishes took a while. Pimento cheese was ok - a bit runny and tasted like roasted red peppers from a can. Pizza was tasty, fresh, and crispy. NC BBQ sandwich was passable - over-smoked chicken was dry without the addition of sauce. Lots going on with the menu, but altogether a solid standby for beer and pizza! read more

This restaurant professes to be known for their burgers. They say we serve them pink or no pink..(well or medium). I ordered blackened blue cheese burger, pink. It came to me with "no pink". I sent it back. The second time it came to me charred on the outside raw in the middle, red not pink!! The third time it came to me, no pink! I just gave up. The manager gave no apology or took it off the bill. Which is what a good manager would have done. We were a party of 5 from the Chicago area and I can tell you this isn't how any reputable restaurant in Chicago runs their business. If a restaurant says "We are known for our burgers" then for God's sake KNOW HOW TO COOK A BURGER!! The only reason I didn't give 1 star is because our server Taylor was EXCELLENT! read more
