Food and service were excellent. They treated us very good. The only thing I would complain about is that we felt that we were being ran out of the place. I would have loved to hang out a bit after finishing my meal. read more

Solid choice for mid level meal. Great beer selection and a good mix of specialty burgers and pizza. Awesome cobbler for dessert!!

My husband and I went there for the first time today July 8,2018 and we were very impressed. First off, we were driving on our way back to MD from VA Beach so our decision to stop at Craft 31 for lunch was an unplanned one. Be that as it may, immediately upon entering I loved the decor and the ambiance. It was a Sunday late morning (around 1130) and there was some excellent live guitar music playing. Very inviting and relaxing. Plus, it wasn't crowded which also made it. Our servers were excellent all throughout. The manager came by the table twice to mKe sure everything was ok. That's refreshing. The craft beers list was awesome and focused on local craft beer. We were very happy with our beer choices. My husband and I both had burgers. I had the "Diner burger" with sweet potato waffle fries and it was amazing! My husband enjoyed his "Lone Star" burger as well. We very much appreciate the service, food and drinks! We would definitely come back! read more

We waited until later to go eat because we wanted to try this restaurant and some reviews noted issues when they tried to go at their busy time of 6:30. We showed up this evening, around 8pm, and were told we could be immediately seated but we'd have to wait 45 mins to an hour to get our food because the kitchen was "super busy". Unfortunately, we left because we didn't want to wait the hour to eat. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped here on the way back from Williamsburg. The service was fantastic! We sat at the bar and both the bartender and the manager chatted with us the whole time--they were so friendly and attentive and knew SO much about all the beers. They have a fantastic selection of beer, and I love that most of them are from Virginia breweries. The IPA that I got was awesome. The second time we went here, we got the crab dip. Ohhh myyy gosh it was heavenly. Huge chunks of crab meat. We will be back most definitely!! Thanks for making our experience so lovely! read more

EXCELLENT place! We stopped here for lunch and had a few beers and the margarita flights! Food and service was amazing! Would HIGHLY recommend. We sat on the Super cute enclosed patio with a fireplace. read more

The margaritas flight is soooo good. The fried shrimp was delicious. Service was great.

Best Caesar salad with anchovies in Williamsburg...tonight's meals were top notch...I added fried oysters and my husband added grilled shrimp...also enjoyed a huge serving of chips and salsa...draft beers are microbrews and lots to choose from...Jusuf was our server and he was so efficient and pleasant.. read more

Great waitress (Shae) was very personable. The pizza with crabmeat was amazing. I can't remember the name of it. Maybe Chesapeake. I even heated it in the microwave the next day and it was delicious. Highly recommend it. read more

Food was excellent, margarita flight was yummy, and our waitress was on point and great the whole time!!

The crab dip was really good! And you can split for $2 and have a separate portion on fries.

Great food and drinks. Incredibly friendly staff, I love going to this place, we take the whole family.

Great seating options. Indoor, outdoor and enclosed patio with fire. Great selection of foods and desserts. Large selection of tap beers. Enough wines and cocktails to please most. I've enjoyed the fish&chips, pizzas, and burgers on several occasions. I've visited for business lunches and dated. I've frequented for dinner for dates and larger gatherings. read more

This place is outstanding! I had the Peoples Crunch Burger. It was the best burger I have had in ages. The chips are seasoned with Old Bay seasoning. It adds a little flavor. We will be back the next time we are in town. read more

We had great server, but the kitchen took way too long for our food. My kids waited an hour for macaroni and cheese and a cheese pizza. My wife and I waited an hour and a 20 minutes for Luke warm burgers and burnt bacon. Needless to say, while the place looks great and our server was amazing, the food service was terrible due to a lack of organization in the kitchen...and no matter how good the place looks...if the food sucks, it's really not the place to go...your money is better spent elsewhere...until they clean up what's going on in the kitchen. read more

Very pleased with the ascetic of this restaurant as well as the food choices. A great variety of sea and land foods and the whole family was pleased with it all. The service was wonderful and the manager even came over to chat with us, and we realized we had some mutual friends! The raw oysters were spectacular as well as the crab cake sandwich and the crab cake eggs benedict from the brunch menu. read more

Great stop after a hot morning at Jamestown. Great beer selection, oysters, clams, burgers. Delicious.

Craft 31 is our favorite neighborhood spot to sit at the bar, have a beer, share a pizza and salad, rinse and repeat. Some nights it's a burger and salad, or the Monte Cristo special. In Williamsburg it's tough to find a spot that's a step above a deli, but not Fat Canary. We head here for lunch, happy hour, dinner with the family and dinner with the two of us. Craft 31 offers tasty food, a great selection of beers on tap and friendly bartenders. The only disappointments have come when we have decided to sit at a table instead of the bar. Two out of three times we have been let down by the service, which was slow and not particularly friendly, once it was stellar. They have a large bar area, but are still family friendly. The bar area is both inside and outside and they have a large enclosed patio area that sometimes features live music. The pizza is always, predictably delicious, so we order that pretty regularly, several different kinds. I adore the green goddess dressing, their "Crunch" salad isn't that great, but that dressing makes it amazing. read more

Food was excellent! Ate out on the patio, which was nice. Not sure what happened but there was a huge delay (around 45 minutes) between our appetizers and main course. Waitress apologized for the delay, and there were two other groups on the patio that were experiencing the same issue. Only complaint was that they closed the patio doors while we were waiting on our food and turned off the fan. I understand they were closing, but the if the kitchen was backed up, they should have waited. Made us feel like we needed to hurry and get out once we were finally served. The quality of food was excellent as was our waitress. Will return next time we are in the area. read more

One of my favorite restaurants since we moved to Williamsburg over a year and a half ago. A little loud but service is good and the food is excellent. We've gone several times and ordered different things and haven't had a bad meal yet. read more

A very nice place for a delicious burger and great beer! Everyone was pleasant, and attentive. There is outdoor seating as well as indoor. read more

The pizza and beer selection is great!!! We loved the karen pizza (spinach, ricotta, italian sausage...) Great selection of food.

This was Hands down the Best Burger I've had in town. I surfed through tons of spots to take my girlfriend to eat and I'm glad I chose this one. First off the atmosphere and the design is beautiful, I figured since it served beers burgers and pizza it wouldn't be fancy but I was wrong. Very upscale and classic music playing in the Room. I ordered the diner burger with a ceaser salad Which was great in itself and my girlfriend order her own made pizza, we also got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Shaketail Which was delicious. The burger was amazing, perfectly cooked and great taste My girl loved her pizza, overall an amazing experience. And At the end of the night it didn't hurt as much especially with all we ordered. Loved this place and will definitely come back in the future! read more

Service was bad! Food was either severely under cooked or burnt either way it was not editable! Will not visit this place again

Just stopped in for a cozy ambiance to enjoy a rainy day soup and salad... Seafood chowder was chunky, flavorful and satisfying... nicely done. The Caesar salad was larger than I was expecting for $7.95. I loved the pickled red onions. Definitely a hidden gem. read more

Decided to come after reading the great reviews. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. I went with the bottoms up pizza which was amazing. Definitely would come back and recommend you to give it a try read more

We have been coming here since moving to Williamsburg from northern Virginia 7 years ago. We bring our guests here because it's a reliable nice environment and menu. We actually came here for our wedding anniversary on a beautiful October afternoon for lunch. We were comfortable sitting on the outside porch. One of the only times we had been to a restaurant during the pandemic. We are in our late 70's and early 80's. Today's visit was a real disappointment. We arrived exactly at 5p. Although there were open tables for 4 (we were 2) we were told there was nothing available except the bar. Our first choice was by the kitchen door. Now we are in the hallway once I refused the kitchen table. The hostess had NO skills. I know it is really difficult finding good employees right now. This is one of THE BEST relaxed restaurants in Williamsburg. They are now ACCEPTING RESERVATIONS. That wasn't the case before COVID. We have to get accustomed to the new way of things after the pandemic. The new dining out. Make reservations at Craft 31!!! I promise you will enjoy your evening! read more

First time at Craft 31, the beer my husband had was good and the kids meals were good but my husband got a Reuben that had so much fat on the corn beef that my husband had to pick his sandwich apart. My burger was missing ingredients and was cold. The fries were cold. read more

Ordered delivery from Craft 31. Smoked garlic Parmesan wings, blue cheese burger, chili dog....all delicious! We will going to eat inside the restaurant soon! read more

Craft 31 didn't wow me but everything was on par. Service, food, look and feel inside. We didn't have a reservation so we were told we could not sit in a booth. We sat in the middle of the restaurant. All the other patrons were seated in booths. Another family came in 15 min later and were about to be seated at a table like us but the gentleman said a few things and was then moved to a booth. Maybe I needed to fuss a little more. But I didn't want that to sour the entire experience. Our server was very nice and made sure we had what we needed and made suggestions. They sell Bottoms up pizza, same as in Richmond. Same owner I was told. We each had a drink with our meal and that was good. I had the jambalaya. They use colossal shrimp, chicken and andouille sausage. It was very tasty. One the best I've had. They split the place up front bar area and then a dining area. That's nice In giving you an option to what you're looking for in a dining experience. Will give them another shot. I think the first interaction from the lady seating us could have been better on her part as that's the first impression. Being in Williamsburg and a heavy tourist place - asking if it's your first visit, out of town etc would be a great ice breaker versus just grabbing two menus walking off and then the first interaction being you can't sit here or there and it's pretty empty. First impressions!! read more

I've been wanting to try their veggie burger and it didn't disappoint. Hearty and tasty with just the right amount of spice. The sweet potato waffle fries were wonderful. Their Craft 31 sauce made this a lunch I'll come back for. The pickle on the side was a nice addition. read more

Craft 31 - Hearty veggie burger with sweet potato waffle fries. - Pizza Near Me - Williamsburg, Virginia

My mother and I arrived without a reservation. It was 3:35, I was told to come back at 4:30 because they weren't taking walk ins until that time. I walked outside, made a reservation for 4, waited 10 minutes and walked back in at 3:50. The same hostess asked if I had a reservation, and I said yes I walked outside and made a reservation for 4. She said, well that was probably a good idea and we were seated immediately. The bar was empty only the booths had people at them and the entire center section was empty and I have no idea how having a reservation at an empty restaurant makes sense. We ordered food, the chili dog and the BBQ sandwich. Regular fries and truffle fries. Our food was lukewarm. We didn't even bother sending it back as multiple other people were sending food back. The chili cheese dog literally looked like canned hormel chili with black beans added to it and queso sauce poured on top. Nothing exciting for $14 even though it was Wagyu beef. The BBQ sandwich was fine, nothing amazing. I also had a margarita, it was a little sweet, but not awful. I didn't want a second one. The sweet tea that my mother ordered wasn't sweet. Our server was great, very sweet and attentive. The sweeping going on next to everyone eating was gross. There were more bus boys than servers and the servers were also helping out with seating which made no sense when there was a hostess. Needless to say we won't be back for over priced food that's mediocre and not served hot. read more

Craft 31 did us right for our intimate wedding reception. My guests were all raving about the experience! I couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. The organization and communication was outstanding. Jessica, the private event coordinator, was incredibly easy to get a hold of, whether it be email or phone, since her position is fully dedicated to private events. Other restaurants in Williamsburg had no such person, and I got annoyed rather quickly at coordinating a time to even get on the phone with a manager. With Jessica, no request went denied, and she made sure that the experience was as stress-free as possible. Instead of a limited menu, I decided on a buffet-style dinner. I had so much fun picking whatever I wanted from the main menu to be pre-made for the reception. I picked tons of appetizers, some pizzas, deep-fried Oreos, and a build-your-own burger bar! This set-up made our reception care-free, so that everyone could walk around and there was no fixed seating. The venue was the coolest part! I planned the entire reception without visiting Craft 31, and arrived pleasantly surprised! We did not need to decorate a thing. The staff set up the buffet tables with rustic burlap and mint-colored fabric. Heated patio, a fireplace, TVs on the wall, bathrooms located on the patio, cute mason jars on the tables with candles inside. The restaurant itself has lots of fun interior decorations. The wait staff was incredibly attentive! They constantly ran in and out with our drink orders and they were busing tables so nothing was left dirty. According to my guests, the food was great! Unfortunately, being the bride, I spent too much time talking to guests and not enough time enjoying the food. Many of the guest, including the groom and myself, arrived later than 6pm, and the general manager allowed for our event to run longer than 9pm, which was so accommodating and kind. Every one of my guests had a blast! I'm so impressed! read more

This place was DELICIOUS!! We got some shrimp as an appetizer. My husband got the Southern Comfort burger, I got the patty melt. He tried some new beers and I got a pomegranate mojito. It was amazing. The kids meals were decent size. My daughter got the pizza and my son got the Mac & cheese. We lived everything. Service was great and the place was clean and nice. read more

Monday night dinner in Williamsburg. Decided to sit in the outside area that is closed in and has fireplace, which was warm and cozy. Crab/spinach/artichoke dip was delish followed by burgers. The burgers were just so-so. Overcooked and dry and cheese wasn't close to melted. sweet potato fries were good, and had a sweetness to them. Staff were very friendly and Tinley. Beer selection was impressive. Will definitely give them another visit. Lots of potential in this off-the-beaten-path establishment. read more

We went there on a Sunday evening for our wedding anniversary dinner date. We both ordered the Cast Iron Tuna Steak, with cheese grits, and broccoli. We ended with the fruit cobbler and vanilla ice cream. The entire meal was excellent. We sat in the outdoor patio dining area (which is closed in during cold weather, and it was quite chilly that evening). The wait for our order seemed a little long, but the food was worth it. Our server, Carissa, was great, too! read more

The good: 3 stars because our greeter was friendly, we were seated quickly, our food came out very hot, my turkey burger was EXCELLENT and our waiter accommodated my every request. The bad: The Cucumber Lemon Drop was not good AT ALL and the diversity in this place is completely non-existent. The managers went by at least 3 tables and conversated but never once spoke to us, which was disappointing. As we departed, the only person that did bid us farewell was a different waiter who was getting off of work and walking out of the door with us. The verdict: Since its only been open 2 weeks, I would probably give them one more try if I'm in the Williamsburg area again. Perhaps at a different time of the day, to see if I get a different vibe. read more

Came in for lunch yesterday, second day in week's time. It's a good locale and facility. But, first, why does it seem like the hostesses most assuredly want to steer you to the right and exile you to sitting across from the bar? Back of the bus for solo diners, even with plenty of main dining area space available? (Also, on prior visit, was ignored for ten minutes till black waiter asked offhandedly, had I been served? Docked them one star for this.) Then, Shawn, the bartender was friendly and asked did I want a regular spicy Bloody Mary, or his extra spicy BM? I took his suggestion, but, surprise, "his" was nearly $11 per BM! I didn't't learn it was this pricey till after the bill arrived. What a pleasant surprise-NOT. $35 bucks in total for lunch! For 8 medium to small fried oysters, a cup of fries, and the BM. Ouch! (Bye, bye second star!) Solo diners beware! I also found the waitresses chillily efficient, but mostly lacking much in personality in serving. read more

DELICIOUS food- We shared the blue cheese burger and the Greek pizza with white sauce--oh my!! Yummy lemon drop martini for me. Good beer selection for my husband. Craft 31 - The Greek pizza with WHITE sauce is BURSTING with flavor! - Pizza Near Me - Williamsburg, Virginia

I moved to Williamsburg several months ago and have been in this restaurant once or twice a month. It's very close to where I live and I like the ambience because of the outdoor seating section. However, i've never had a particularly good experience there. The host/hostess team is completely unfriendly and uninterested, the waitstaff is usually slow, overwhelmed, and doesn't know their menu well, and if you don't know the bartenders personally your way to long time for drinks while they tend to the people they do know personally... Even if you were there first waiting with your money out. This week I had family in town and took them there for dinner. As usual, the hostess was borderline rude and sat us at a table where we waited 20 minutes with no service. I finally went to the hostess stand to let them know we had not gotten a server. The manager came to the table to apologize and take our drink order and set a server would be right with us. The manager was back with the drinks and still no server had come. The manager said the server would be right over, five minutes later a server finally came... We were at the restaurant for 30 minutes at that point. The rest of the dinner was average and the food was fine. However, this example is no longer an outlier to me, it's a trend. I will no longer go to this establishment and would not recommend it to anyone. There are other places you can go in town that have a comparable beer selection and much better service. read more
