Housemade Pimento Cheese
Ali C.

My mom has been living around the corner from this place for a number of years and frequents it often. They all know her very well. She has told me about it for a long time and today I got to go and experience it for myself. Monday through Friday they have a great lunch special for about $13 that comes with a super salad and then a sandwich. It is a great deal, I have the fish sandwich which was cod. We also split the pimento cheese with freshly fried pita chips. They make the pimento cheese and house and you can tell for sure! The bartender Renee was so kind as we're all the staff we encountered.

The restaurant looks absolutely beautiful inside and out. We walked in and the hostesses gave us funny looks. Our waiter was great though. The manager came to check us on multiple times and was super sweet. The food was delicious. The appetizer came out quietly. We had to wait a bit for our lunch but they communicated well about where we were in the line up. It was a Sunday afternoon right after church so it was expected. We will definitely be coming back to try different meals and drinks!! The menu had a lot we want to try!!

Very clean and delicious place! Service was attentive and our server Patrick brought our drinks out right away. The menu had plenty of options to chose from, to the point where you can't decide because everything looks so good! The workers were very on top of everything and the food came out fast. I ordered the bread tracks for an appetizer, and I thought it would be like little breadsticks. But no! Two whole medium sized loaves of bread! The chicken sandwich was so big that it could walk off of the plate! Patrick was SO SO friendly. A cool addition that they added since the last time I was there was little name tags with the servers name. Overall, very well kept place with magnificent food! Would definitely recommend!

Food was great, service could be better. I felt rushed by the server to order came to my table three times in less than 5 minutes aprox asking if I was ready to order. The hostess had very low energy wasn't welcoming at all, luckily decided to stay because food is great. However, ambiance wasn't as great since their local has terrible echo and it gets terribly loud. Every conversation and laugh echoed and made it terribly noisy.

Pub Burger with a veggie patty and fries

For my first visit to Craft 31, I ordered the Pub Burger with a veggie patty. Although there were several beer-infused components of the sandwich, I didn't pick up any noticeable notes of beer. That said, the burger was delicious. Veggie patty are usually blended to a degree where I can't tell what I'm eating. However, this had small chunks of vegetables which I really liked. The braised onions paired well with the tangy "31 Sauce." The American cheese on top contributed a layer of creaminess. Even though its flavor profile wasn't beer-forward, the bun was fluffy yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. If you're a fan of honey mustard and spicy dips, this one will clear your sinuses. The service was great and I liked the laid-back atmosphere. I would definitely return to explore more of the menu, specifically the pizzas.

Tasty food, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere. The spinach & artichoke crab dip with lots of cheesy pita bread pieces is very good--great way to start off. I enjoyed the fish n' chips (main course) that comes with a lemon-pepperoncini tartar sauce (subtle yet some punch to it). Also partook of the diner burger which is nicely prepared. Apple cobbler served with a mound of vanilla ice cream was the coup de grace for my dessert. No way could I finish all that food, so, "to-go" boxes were used, and got a second meal out of it the next day. Fabulous. Crystal (waitress) was superb and the rest of the crew at the bar and those helping out on the floor were fun and friendly, made me feel at home. And encouraged me to watch all of the Caps versus Les Habs game that evening, if I wanted (and I did), long after my meal was finished. What more can one ask for?! I'd come back for sure.

Cheese Medium Pizza with extra Tomatoea

I actually ate at Craft 31 twice with five days recently. The first time was to experience their 2025 Winter Restaurant Week menu and the other was for Happy Hour to try their pizzas and Ground Beef Tot-Cho's. Both visits were quite enjoyable. I learned that Craft 31 also offers a $12 express lunch menu that includes a soup or salad started then an assortment of lunch choices. I ordered the starter salad with peach dressing and the fried fish sandwich, which also came with a side. I chose the house made chips, which were really good! When we went for Happy Hour, we ordered the $10 medium pizzas with one topping from the Happy Hour menu, as well as an order of Ground Beef Tot-Cho's. The star hands-down was the Tot-Cho's. They were flavorful and not at all greasy. I highly recommend them. The pizzas had too much cheese for our liking. I don't know if you order more toppings there would be less cheese. The crust was thin and crispy. The red sauce was sweet and smooth. In addition to seating in the dining area, they have a bar area as well as a year-round enclosed patio with a fireplace. While it was 26 degrees outside, the patio room was very comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. The servers stopped by to check in for refills, but they were not intrusive. They represented the establishment very well. Craft 31 is tucked away off 199 on Strawberry Plains Road. They have lots of parking.

Ordered the 31 loaded pizza and the Mexican - Both were good. Our waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We sat outside on the patio next to the beautiful fireplace. I look forward to trying some of the beer on my next visit.

what an awesome restaurant here in the burg. I got a burger (so many to choose from on this menu!) and it was DELICIOUS!! definitely in the top 5 best burgers i've had. can't wait to go back

I've been here a couple times on a lunch date with friends and family which is always really good but we choose to eat here this year for Thanksgiving! We got the traditional plate but they had other limited options on the menu if that wasn't your thing. The service was impeccable and everyone was super friendly and nice. Going to comeback for dinner soon! Oh did I mention the plates where VERY generous! We had the Thanksgiving itis.

Tried this place with my sister's family and her friends. There was a lot of us so a bit chaotic so I forgot to take a photo of what we ate lol. I did with my drinks though since my sister and I decided to try the drink flight that they had. It was nice that they were able to sit us all together on a big table. It was a fun time!

The brewery is large, clean, colorful, spacious and inviting. It's uniquely decorated. Think taxidermy animals on the wall but half car couches. My family really enjoyed out trip to SB. First off, it was a quiet day. The bartender, a young guy, was super helpful. Flights of 10? Made my husband happy. I can't lie, there were 2 beers I wanted to taste. I like sours. The more they are reds and green, I usually like them. I can share the lucky charms one was not for me. The Welch's jelly sour was a win with me! Lots of merch to choose from. My husband got a really interesting scientist hat. Another win- they sell juice boxes for kids! All this place needs is some food. True score: 3.75

There were a lot of drink options, but not many snacks, so if you come here, eat before or have a plan to grab food after. I got the Sapphire Robot, which was sweet without being overwhelming. As someone who doesn't like beer that much, this was perfect. The decor was strange, which works for the name, but it put off my friends. If a ton of taxidermy bothers you, maybe skip it.

The food was a bit dry though. I had gotten the classic burger and some truffle garlic fries. Second visit (last Sunday) was a bit different. Waitress didn't frequent us very often. Took about 15ish minutes to get our orders taken. Food still came out quite quickly for how many people we had in our party. This time I got a different burger and liked it a lot more. It was still pretty dry. I got the morning after one this time. Same fries, still kinda dry under the garlic and cheese on top. Not spread along all the fries very well. A small complaint to add is my plate was chipped. Shown in the third picture. Not a big deal I just found it interesting that they served food on not the best looking plates, but everyone else's at the table were in pristine conditions.

Well, back from the cruise and REALLY not feeling the whole "cook our own meal" after being so…read morespoiled, we decided to venture out and try something new. I was tasked with phoning in the reservation (thankfully the meal went better than that debacle)and since we were dining early it wasn't an issue. First of all, there are two places in the property; the Tavern and 5 Fields pizza and beer. We dined at the Tavern. GORGEOUS garden lining the old farmhouse! We went in and were seated inside right away. As it was almost 100 today it was ideal seating. The decore is well.... different. Where we sat was a truck grill from 1928, and there was more of a sports motiff. (If you go and sit in the same room, let me know if you can spot the crooked pic!) Once again, my curse at remembering names of the servers has hit again which is a real sham because she was beyond AWESOME. She was VERY patient with my extremely frustrating mum which was nice. We both got this truly genius idea of an appetizer to start; a veggie boat with a ranch style dressing. Omg it was perfect. Warm day, cruciferous veggies, ice cold drinks. Heaven. Next came the burgers, she got the Tavern burger, I got the Charles City burger. The Tavern has cheddar cheese and bacon, the Charles City has bree cheese and this creamy mojo ajo aoli along with fried shallots....there is probably more but all I know is that I feel like an idiot never having triple creme bree on a burger before. I have to take a moment to also inform you that they make the BEST Cosmo outside of NYC. Perfectly blended and chilled, and just strong enough to celebrate a Friday night. Yowza! One.more thing. They tempted me with a scoop of their home made butter pecan ice cream. I just want to move in and become one with this place it was so good. I haven't had butter pecan this good in 50 years!! After this essay I guess you could say that I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It's in a beautiful area, lots of parking, great food & ambiance. I couldn't find a single fault.

This is the first time here and plan to come again in the future. It also next to a bike trail from Richmond to Williamsburg so we saw some bicyclists here too.
