Food was great, service could be better. I felt rushed by the server to order came to my table three times in less than 5 minutes aprox asking if I was ready to order. The hostess had very low energy wasn't welcoming at all, luckily decided to stay because food is great. However, ambiance wasn't as great since their local has terrible echo and it gets terribly loud. Every conversation and laugh echoed and made it terribly noisy.

Pub Burger with a veggie patty and fries

For my first visit to Craft 31, I ordered the Pub Burger with a veggie patty. Although there were several beer-infused components of the sandwich, I didn't pick up any noticeable notes of beer. That said, the burger was delicious. Veggie patty are usually blended to a degree where I can't tell what I'm eating. However, this had small chunks of vegetables which I really liked. The braised onions paired well with the tangy "31 Sauce." The American cheese on top contributed a layer of creaminess. Even though its flavor profile wasn't beer-forward, the bun was fluffy yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. If you're a fan of honey mustard and spicy dips, this one will clear your sinuses. The service was great and I liked the laid-back atmosphere. I would definitely return to explore more of the menu, specifically the pizzas.

Tasty food, excellent service, welcoming atmosphere. The spinach & artichoke crab dip with lots of cheesy pita bread pieces is very good--great way to start off. I enjoyed the fish n' chips (main course) that comes with a lemon-pepperoncini tartar sauce (subtle yet some punch to it). Also partook of the diner burger which is nicely prepared. Apple cobbler served with a mound of vanilla ice cream was the coup de grace for my dessert. No way could I finish all that food, so, "to-go" boxes were used, and got a second meal out of it the next day. Fabulous. Crystal (waitress) was superb and the rest of the crew at the bar and those helping out on the floor were fun and friendly, made me feel at home. And encouraged me to watch all of the Caps versus Les Habs game that evening, if I wanted (and I did), long after my meal was finished. What more can one ask for?! I'd come back for sure.

Cheese Medium Pizza with extra Tomatoea

I actually ate at Craft 31 twice with five days recently. The first time was to experience their 2025 Winter Restaurant Week menu and the other was for Happy Hour to try their pizzas and Ground Beef Tot-Cho's. Both visits were quite enjoyable. I learned that Craft 31 also offers a $12 express lunch menu that includes a soup or salad started then an assortment of lunch choices. I ordered the starter salad with peach dressing and the fried fish sandwich, which also came with a side. I chose the house made chips, which were really good! When we went for Happy Hour, we ordered the $10 medium pizzas with one topping from the Happy Hour menu, as well as an order of Ground Beef Tot-Cho's. The star hands-down was the Tot-Cho's. They were flavorful and not at all greasy. I highly recommend them. The pizzas had too much cheese for our liking. I don't know if you order more toppings there would be less cheese. The crust was thin and crispy. The red sauce was sweet and smooth. In addition to seating in the dining area, they have a bar area as well as a year-round enclosed patio with a fireplace. While it was 26 degrees outside, the patio room was very comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. The servers stopped by to check in for refills, but they were not intrusive. They represented the establishment very well. Craft 31 is tucked away off 199 on Strawberry Plains Road. They have lots of parking.

Ordered the 31 loaded pizza and the Mexican - Both were good. Our waitress was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We sat outside on the patio next to the beautiful fireplace. I look forward to trying some of the beer on my next visit.

what an awesome restaurant here in the burg. I got a burger (so many to choose from on this menu!) and it was DELICIOUS!! definitely in the top 5 best burgers i've had. can't wait to go back

I've been here a couple times on a lunch date with friends and family which is always really good but we choose to eat here this year for Thanksgiving! We got the traditional plate but they had other limited options on the menu if that wasn't your thing. The service was impeccable and everyone was super friendly and nice. Going to comeback for dinner soon! Oh did I mention the plates where VERY generous! We had the Thanksgiving itis.

Tried this place with my sister's family and her friends. There was a lot of us so a bit chaotic so I forgot to take a photo of what we ate lol. I did with my drinks though since my sister and I decided to try the drink flight that they had. It was nice that they were able to sit us all together on a big table. It was a fun time!

BBQ sandwich

Such a simple thing is to refill a glass ? One star deduction immediately for not offering me a refill. We got the tater tot appetizer, which seemed a little strange but was pretty good. I ordered the Carolina not burger sandwich and I had to ask what it was as it's not described on the menu as pulled pork. It does say barbecue sauce but funny enough mine didn't come with the barbecue sauce? Looks like a nice place. We'll try it again. I'll be scouring reviews as to what to order.

The daily special. . . Well worth the visit. If we lived here this would be our regular watering hole.

The food was amazing the micro brews here are top notch. April was our waitress but it was the team work of Bella and April that caused us to call the manager over and brag about our experience. The ambiance is nice for a craft beer place but the food deals like and appetizer and entree for $12 was enjoyed by each member of our party of four. If we could give this place a 6 star review we would.

Everything was amazing!! The pizza, sub, sweet potato waffle fries with the glaze and bread tracks were just so delicious!! Cheyanne was very attentive and we never had to wait for anything. She was always smiling every time we saw her!! Very appreciative of the great service we received on our anniversary lunch/dinner. Thank you Cheyanne!!

They also came with fries or onion rings, funnel cake fries, and a drink of your choice. Two of the guys had the root beer and said it was pretty good. Now as for the dogs, the two guys that had the coneys were happy with them, although one was hoping for a little more spice from the chili, but it was by no means bad. The burnt ends dog was said to be pretty freaking good. As for the American dog, we'll that was a different story. It wasn't a bad dog, but it tasted like it had been boil cooked and not cooked on the griddle. Additionally, it wasn't really that warm. I guess warm is a good description for it. It would have been better if it was hot and you could see some cooking marks on it. Alas, it was and had neither. But again, it wasn't a bad dog, but it could have been much better. The onion rings were pretty tasty though, as were the funnel cake fries and crinkle cut fries. This night was Wednesday, so it was trivia night. At 6:30. At about 6:00 people really started to come in, and by 6:30, the place was packed. Guess trivia night is a big hit... The people working there were super friendly and you fealt as if they were happy to be there. I would have given it 5 stars, but tbe warm dog just brought my experience down a bit. But don't let that stop you from going there, because you'll probably have a good time with good food and good people.

As a person who loves malt vinegar, they're quick to bring it out when requested. The VA moonshine lemonade was strong, sweet and tart. It helped cut through the fry and burger flavors. The patty melt was good, though greasy and the brisket burger was rich. Both were cooked very well. The fries are also very good. The sauce that comes with them is reminiscent to Chick-fil-a sauce, which others liked, but I opted for the malt vinegar, which worked better in my opinion. They're cooked in tallow, which gives them a more complex flavor than other fries. The pub cheese was also good. The pretzel topping was odd but the sweet pepper relish was a delicious addition. We wished the pretzels came on the side like the crackers and wished that there were more crackers. It can get a little loud, but that's expected for a place meant for hanging out, having a drink and enjoying good food.

So, we get the wings, and the only heat they had was the warmth from the chicken. No flavor at all. It definitely wasn't sweet, and it wasn't spicy. By the third wing, we were still trying to figure out if the heat was going to kick in, and it did not. So, he's like, "OK," and I ordered the jalapeño and Swiss burger. You know me, I love jalapeños, so I'm thinking, "Okay, maybe it'll have some good savory flavor." I've done those kinds of burgers before. The flavor was mid. You could tell they just hand-patted the meat, threw it on the stove, and called it a day. No salt, no pepper, no flavor. Bland as can be. And the jalapeños weren't even hot. I was like, "What?" I grow fresh jalapeños, so I know what they're supposed to taste like, and these weren't it. One of our friends got the bourbon barbecue wings, and she said they tasted like somebody mixed a ketchup packet with some tomato paste, and that was about it. The only thing that was even decent was probably the sweet tea. And then, our friend had to order another meal. I think she got the chicken Philly or something like that, and that actually had some flavor. But here's what got me: how do the French fries have flavor, but my burger and wings don't? I will not be going back. And I'm gonna write a review, because that made no sense., they had pulled pork too. You know pulled pork is supposed to be savory, maybe with a nice sauce or two. This pulled pork they gave me? Dry. They barely gave me any sauce. No ma'am, no sir, it sucked big time. Not going back, not at all. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price, because I would've been mad.

The fresh catch meal included a simple house salad, and it took 30 minutes for the salad to arrive. Shortly after the salad arrived, our meals came out, and they were lukewarm. I had the grilled mahi mahi with lemon dill butter over some roasted fingerling potatoes and corn. While the fish itself was a nice piece and well prepared, its not-quite-warm temperature made it less appetizing to eat. The same was true for our other meals: the seafood pot pie and the mahi mahi fish tacos. While our waitress offered to have them all reheated, we both didn't have time as we had theatre tickets and reheating the tacos with their toppings, the pot pie with its pastry crust, and the seared fish didn't sound appealing. We went on a Sunday afternoon at 3 PM and were promptly seated. The atmosphere was fine, pretty open and unexceptional, but modern and new. Big screen in front of us playing the Sunday football game. Server was quick to get drink orders in, 12 oz. Commonwealth Modern 'Smores stout for $8 and my wife got a $16 Peppermint Espresso Martini. I appreciated the nice Commonwealth stout and the price was fine. The Peppermint Espresso martini was mediocre and very overpriced considering that. Our food took a long time. Like 3 apologies from the server long. There were 2 parties of like 10 that were in process when we sat so I get it. But I do feel like something should be given when it's 45 minutes plus on food. Anyway, on to the food.... My kid is not much of an eater and they did not have any type of kid menu. Ended up with a soft pretzel for $13. Add cheese fondue and it's $16. It was very big and delicious.... At $16 it's hard to be excited about it though. The cheese fondue definitely made the pretzel. I was not overly hungry and got She crab soup $8.50 for the cup and a Caesar salad $5. The soup was good, they add the crab on top so you can see they give you about half a cup and for the price it was good. Definitely not the best she crab soup in the area, but good enough. Caesar was just croutons, Parmesan and dressing and was fine. My wife got the "fresh catch" Chilean Sea Bass for $33. It was kind of fishy tasting. Fresh fish is rarely fishy. It was overcooked, horribly plated and the blackened seasoning had minimal flavor. It was bad. We asked for some tarter for it and it made it tolerable. The server offered to replace it, but having just waited 45 minutes for food we weren't going to chance something else, particularly since we were with another couple. While we were waiting I had 2 $3 special Budweisers and my wife had a $14 Snowflake Margarita. They were all fine. My kids sprite was $4 which feels outrageous, but I don't know what places are charging these days for sodas. I normally don't pay attention. Bill came with another apology for all the waiting and no discount. Tough to make it as a seafood restaurant when you are struggling with your seafood. I heard their seafood nachos are excellent.... Maybe I'll give them another chance for those. My first experience was not a good one.
