Must try, if you're in the area. Good food, great servers, large parties do reserve as they book out quick. Fun beer!

We waited over 20 Minutes to order a drink at the bar and only after I asked twice for a drink menu did one of three people behind the bar come over. She seemed put out about us ordering a drink. When we were seated at our table I had to clean all of the glasses and silverware at the table with paper towels from the bathroom and tap Water because there was residue and food on everything. The food was overpriced and my husband's $13 pizza ended up being $26 after he added three toppings at $4 each. Our server was personable, but other than her, this place was not good at all. I never saw a manager anywhere the whole Time we were there. . It is evident that this place is surviving on volume based on the fact that everything else is closed on Mondays. Our table was also surrounded by fruit flies and houseflies which makes me wonder how the kitchen must look. read more

Well, the service was great. Very accommodating. The food was hit and miss. I loved the fried oysters, which wasn't enough for the price. Lol. They need to serve with cocktail sauce and not tarter. It was an appetizer. Truffle fries were good, so they were cold and hard. Jambalaya was an absolute no. It was unseasonably looked old. Crab disease also a no. It was so white where is the seasoning. Asked for, obay, but it didn't help. I know my seafood how to cook it, etc. Please find some one to add some flavor. read more

Was getting very upset that after being seated I hadn't had anyone at our table in 20 minutes, (not even to pour water) but when I pointed this out to the hostess, our server was all over us & the food was excellent; awesome smoked flavor on the wings, poke was great & southwest chowder even better than I was hoping. The poor server was attending to three different things at once & we had gotten lost in the shuffle when our table was expedited (and she seemed stressed: they must be suffering from staffing issues like everyone else) but she made up for it by double timing for us with a kick-ass make-good effort; thanks a million! Will definitely come back! read more

Fantastic first time experience at Craft 31. Clint (our server) is phenomenal. The poke and oysters are some of the best we have had in the thousands of restaurants we have reviewed. We will be back. Looking forward to experiencing Jazz Brunch and Wednesday night music. read more

We were excited to try this place due to good reviews and recommendations from friends. However, it was over priced basic food. It was good but nothing special, I doubt we'll go back. read more

3.5 stars really. Good drink menu, good food. Generous portions. The server was unattentive, and we had to flag down someone to eventually get the check. I would try it again. read more

I came in on Friday night with a dining companion. We really enjoyed the dishes we ordered. My companion had the burger with the crab cake and Moscow mule. I had the brisket sandwich with potato salad and an IPA off the draft menu. My sandwich was yummy! The smoked brisket was delicious, I would only change the bbq sauce and put it on the side. My companion really enjoyed his burger and especially raved about how good the crab cake was. I definitely recommend this place to Williamsburg visitors. I will be back in the area and will dine here again when I do! The service was great as well. read more

First off... Love the ambiance and decor, simple and calming while also being welcoming and upbeat. Secondly... The staff is youthful but not uptight. Our server was Quinn, and I have to tell you; he had an uncanny ability of being at our table at the perfect time to refill or reassure us of our order's progress. Third And FOREMOST!!!...!!!...!!! THE FOOD!!!!! I ordered the Blackened Blue Burger!... But I was unaware of something... Something Life Altering! I hadn't just 'ordered'; NO! I 'INVITED'!!! I invited The type of Holiness that even Angels find beyond the realms of Heaven. I had a feeling the food would be good when Quinn let us know how long of a wait it would be for our food. I Was Not Prepared. My spine Sweated after two chews. I had hair standing and taking bows all over my body. I had feelings for a man I have never even met, only know of as The Cook! The BEST Burger I've ever eaten in my LIFE!!! Oh the love I devoured!!! Do Have One! read more

AMAZING food!!!! Highly recommend! A bit of a wait but so worth it; the sweet potato fries were incredible! read more

The food was OK. They were busy, but the service time was reasonable. The server took a little more time than she should have returning to take our order and get our check. This might explain a lobger wait time. I would have given it 3 stars, even with them not letting us sit near the fireplace on the fully enclosed indoor patio on a rainy night, siting reservations. The people who sat there brought 2 large wet dogs that took up the floor space of the table beside them and barked a few times. If I wanted to eat at a zoo or dogpark, I would have done that. Oh yeah, and the water still smells and tastes funny. read more

So I have found a new home lol..... the menu is full of options the atmosphere is laid back but classy with music from the 80s / top forty hits .... the food was awesome and the craft beers are tasty and easily affordable !!!! 3.5$ for a 16oz local craft beer are you kidding me?!? I had a mahi mahi sandwich with park and truffle fries and a craft beer for 15$!!!! And it was so good I even ate it with MAYO on it (I despise mayo and won't allow it in my house) Atmosphere 5 Taste 5 Service 5 (james great job buddy!) Price 5 I'm coming back in a month just to see if this was a one time shot or it's normal ... read more

This place is located in Strawberry Cove, you might miss it because it's slightly set back from the road. I was pleasantly surprised by the interior decor. It has a contemporary, clean, industrial, quasi beach feel. Staff immediately greeted and attended to us as we entered. We had made reservations for lunch on "open table" as we figured it may get super busy on a Friday. Service was fine and they have a carafe of water at each table. They have numerous craft beers available, a plus for me was they had at least two ciders. They offer different sizes. I didn't want to commit to a pint so I ordered a 3.5oz pour for a $1.75. If you have an affinity for sweets such as myself and are looking for a boozy, creamy sweet drink- I highly recommend the salted caramel drink with a candied bacon straw. Definitely one of their drink highlights! Usually, I try to order something that's not offered elsewhere but I haven't had pizza in a long time. I have a gluten sensitivity and well they offer gluten free and vegan pizza!! This is definitely a plus for those with food sensitivities/allergies. I probably should've went for the vegan pizza which of course doesn't have dairy, but uses vegan cheese but I didn't. I figured I'd already went full force with the dairy with salted caramel so I was already past the point of no return. I had the gluten free Greek pizza and added pepperoni. It was pretty good. Overall it's a pretty solid decent place. But they get mad props for offering gluten free pizza and vegan options and for the phenomenal tasty salted caramel beverage. read more

Came in from out of town and picked this location based on the wonderful reviews. While the staff was friendly, hardworking and attentive, the food was lackluster. Well done cheeseburger was more or less a hockey puck and inedible. While pizza was ok, it was nothing great. I'm giving it 3 stars because the beer was wonderful along with the staff. read more

My wife and I visited the restaurant on vacation with both of our mothers. 3 out of 4 meals were excellent but my mother in laws meal was just ok due to the apple carrot cabbage slaw with vinegar dressing was drowned with vinegar to the point it was inedible. The rest of her food was good but her palette was ruined with the vinegar. We also tried the slaw and concurred with her. The music selection was also great that night except it was cutting in and out but song selections were great! Waitress we had was very attentive and nice! read more

What a great bar and grill place right in the neighborhood! Excellent service, great atmosphere and amazing selection of BEER. Definitely will be come back with family, friend and colleagues. Let me start by saying the service was awesome. Wish I would have wrote the review when we went a few weeks ago so I could shout our waiter out but I don't remember his name. My husband and I sampled a lot. Lol we ordered the loaded fries and steamed shrimp as an appetizer. The shrimp were steamed to perfection. I ordered the smoked hot wings and my husband had the Dr. Pepper wings. The hot wings were okay, I wasn't too big on the sauce. My husband really liked the Dr. Pepper wings though the taste wasn't what he expected. He also ordered the Dill fried chicken Sandwich and truffle fries. He really enjoyed both. My favorite part of all was the Margarita flight. I would come back for that alone but luckily the food was great overall too. We will definitely go back. read more

Food was great! Nice beer selection, too. Try the chicken sandwich, but all the fried food was good!

We stopped by Craft 31 for a late dinner on our first night in Williamsburg. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor seating area as well as dine-in available and it feels like they are taking the appropriate precautions given our current environment. Pros - the craft beer list is great! We found some fantastic local brews and were very excited to try something new. Also, the service was great. Our server was friendly and on the ball. The kids menu was also very fairly priced - a definite plus in my book. Cons - the food was just okay - the wings were TINY and quite pricey, especially given the size. Our burgers were also super tiny so the bread to burger ratio was off. It all tasted good, but sizing was way off. read more

Honestly if I wouldn't have been told such great things about here I wouldn't have gone. But here I am throwing up my dinner regretting everything. We started off by getting 1 drink each the waitress brought the wrong drink for my friend and they were both so nasty we stuck to waters afterwards, the appetizers were good but dinner came and I got the shrimp and at the time it was decent but now I think not so much. The waitress was inattentive for about 30 minutes and we had to go to the bar for our waters to be refilled. We will not be going back and giving them a second chance. read more

Excellent service!! It's a place that cares top to bottom. From making a reservation with a special request to good food to friendly staff. It's a great place. read more

Had a great experience here last night. Our waitress was amazing, she checked on us multiple times and was very attentive. Food came out fast for how big of a party we had. The only negative thing was our burgers not being cooked correctly but overall we had a good time. Even the manager came to see how everything was, definitely coming back! read more

Service was a disaster. Wait staff are dressed for a casual experience but hostesses are all wearing plunging shirts with exposed chests. I also felt bad for the hostesses as they were bussing tables, seating guests and bringing out food. We needed a few extra minutes to decide on food so we politely told Maya, our server, this and she said no problem and walked away. Problem was she didn't come back for nearly 20 minutes. Once we ordered we didn't see here again until the kitchen manager dropped off our main courses. Then when it was time to leave I had to get up and get the hostess to find our waitress. She spent so much time with guests who appeared to have ordered alcohol (I assume because statistically they tip well) that we saw her three times in a 1 hours and 35 minute dinner at the place. This place was half full so it wasn't like there was a lot of people in there. Food was average or below average. My burger, which Maya specifically asked if I wanted pink, was in fact well-done or even over that. Why ask if you don't care? Kids pizza was so salted my kid downed 3 glasses of water to eat two pieces. Wife's fish tasted frozen and had a strange gritty texture. Would have loved to talk to Maya about it but never saw her. The decor of this place it was weird. Strange dirty patterned wall paper that doesn't match the seat or the strange layout. I get the partition between the bar but the center section is also a section? Then the club music in the family section added to the mix of mayhem clumped together. Bathrooms were a disaster with urine everywhere and you had to help yourself to rolls of toilet paper stuffed under the sink. Everything made sense from food to poor service once we left. A large portion of the kitchen staff was out back smoking weed and laughing as a group. I don't care that they were smoking weed but that fact that it bled into the service provided is kind of lame. I see they respond to customer feedback on occasion but reading the reviews it all kind of lines up so they don't change anything. (I won't be back so management, save the words and don't worry about the reply). Just save the time and money and go to Old City BBQ up the road or Blue Talon in the main city center. read more

Food was excellent for pizzas, fish and salads. Staff were friendly and nice. Atmosphere were a bit loud on the bar side. Lots of parking.

First visit and it was amazing! Food was excellent, and our server Clint was exceptional! Had oysters, two types and both local, they had just come in and were perfectly shucked. Next was the tuna poke, generous portion of tuna and really yummy! We then split two sandwiches, the Carolina burger and spicy dill fried chicken sandwich. Both were really good but the Carolina burger, cooked exactly as ordered, was our favorite of the two. Toward the end of our lunch the manager, Nick, stopped by to ensure everything was satisfactory, something that doesn't often happen at other places. Looking forward to returning here and trying more of the menu and certainly the Sunday brunch! read more

Overall, Craft 31 is reliably solid. Their burgers and pizzas are always unique and very tasty, their draft selection is stellar, and they have a great margarita flight. It's a hidden gem that my family discovered not long after moving here four years ago. Have there been some missteps in four years? Missed/forgotten items in orders, wrong topping, that sort of thing? Sure. It happens. But they've also gotten it really right a lot of times. read more

The patio was so nice with a fireplace- the drinks were excellent (bloody Mary's and margarita flight) the food was excellent but the best part was the service! Matt was an excellent waitstaff and he was so attentive to our 7 year old grandson! He made him feel so special! You know most restaurants and waitstaff tend to over look the kiddos but he was so over the top special! Would definitely comeback if ever back in the area! read more

After a 5 year absence, I took my wife to dinner at Craft 31 for her first night in Williamsburg. She ordered a cheeseburger with pickles, mayonnaise and lettuce. The burger came out a beautifully medium well, as requested and she would have eaten an entire jar of the dill pickle slices on the burger. She ravenously ate the burger and it was gone before I barely got started on my dinner. She commented that it was so much better than any burger from Red Robin. Speaking of my meal, I ordered the Southwestern White Pizza. It comes with bell peppers, onions and Italian sausage. The thin crust was a crisp and the sauce was delicious. The sausage was a much higher quality that your average pizza topping sausage. Despite getting a medium, I ended up bringing half of it back to the hotel. We both ordered dessert after our delicious meal. My wife got the triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, which she loved. I ordered the apple cobbler, which was the only reason this review is getting a 4 instead of 5 stars. The apples were seasoned with too much nutmeg and not enough cinnamon. There was little or no bottom crust. I ended up only eating a small portion of the cobbler and opted not to bring home the remainder. Regarding the service, we made a reservation and despite arriving early, we were seated promptly. The waitress was very friendly and checked in on our status regularly without being obtrusive. We definitely plan to stop in again before we return home from our vacation, but will avoid desserts. read more

We were visiting Williamsburg for a week from Florida. Found this place through Yelp search. They have a very extensive selection of craft beers most of them local to the area a few from out of state. The beer was icy, cold and well carbonated. Both nights we had the Hawaiian pizza with red sauce with a dinner salad with homemade ranch. The crust was great toppings were very good, the service was very good as well. We sat in the bar area which was very casual. However, there was another section that was more traditional, and the ambience seemed very nice, tasteful, decorations, clean, excellent food. read more

I ordered a 16 ounce beer while it may have come in a 16 ounce mug, it was exactly the same amount of beer as my wife's 11.2 ounce bottle of beer in a 16 ounce glass. I asked for the manager who arrived and tried to rationalize charging for 16 ounces when they were only pouring 11 ounces. Following his rationale they could have sold customers 4 ounces and charged for 16 since it was in a 16 ounce glass the explanation was so desperate and pathetic, I was embarrassed for the guy. I told him I did not care if they deducted the beer from my bill (which they did) What I wanted was for them to discontinue the UNETHICAL practice of misleading advertising. Incidentally, the waitress indicated that others had similar complaints. read more
