We love this place. It's just a casual shellfish restaurant but the clams are fantastic. This place is much better than "The Boiling Crab" in Westwood. This is a great seafood resturant. Very messy but fun and yummy. The shrimp was tasty and the crab was huge. We will be back. Don't bring kids under maybe 10 years old until you have gone first. Whoa! I've tried the hype beast crab places around LA and this places seasoning is the best. Grabbed the king crab, shrimp, and raw oysters, and they were all delicious. This place is ok from my experience. I've been to other places like this before and it seems to me a sort of knock off version? I mean it's a place you go to so you can eat seafood with your hands. I don't feel like I was very impressed with the food I ordered but I also don't feel like it was terrible. What I ordered was some shrimp and also some popcorn lobster. The popcorn I really can't say much because it's fried and I like anything fried. Shrimp was okay. My favorite boiling seafood style restaurant. We tried all the sauces mixed together and it surpassed the flavor of all the other similar joints. The food was reasonable in price, and the fish was not overcooked. Snow crab was amazing along with their shrimp. Will try some more items next time. Artisan soaps and fine jewelry are every where. A great place to take a date for a casual Sunday strole with shopping, good food and friendly people. Now to the food. Shrimp is very similar to other same type eateries. Service is excellent and all servers kept checking on us. Again not very crowded since it's fairly new and does not have a huge following yet. Take advantage of this if you love shrimp in that spicy and buttery sauce. Plenty of public parking as well. The menu is not too cumbersome as the focus is the seafood. The fried Calamari was good and so were the Cajun fries. Drinks are bottomless...sodas that is. And, this place is cleeeeean, if your girl is a clean freak. 5 TVs are great to watch scores on ESPN. The table spacing is also nice and wide. You don't feel crowded eating. Price is comparable, food is good, location and stuff to do after makes this place a destination and not just a place to eat. The spices are amazingly savory and carries a nice kick to your taste buds. They are generous with their portions and IMO serve the biggest shrimps compared to all other cajun seafood joints. Let me start by saying if you are thinking you are going to get the typical "Louisiana" style, you are not. But you really need to try this place. My husband and I just ate here. It was soooo yummy! He got the shrimp with the mixed seasonings. Very tasty. I ordered the snow crab legs with the Cajun seasoning (mild). It was just perfect for me. Just enough spice. We also had the Cajun fires that had enough seasonings on them. I had read that there was not enough on others but ours did. The iced green tea was good too. The service was good. Everyone there was nice. The only thing that was off was our waitress didn't know what Splenda or sugar substitute was. I like the open atmosphere and even when it's crowded, you don't get that claustrophobic feeling like The Boiling Crab (at least I do). Food is ok but customer service is awful! I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Today, my wife went to the store and brought a coupon. After the transaction was finished and the credit card was charged, the cashier, Yoo Jean, looked at the coupon and noted that it was expired. She then gave my wife a cold response and asked, "Did you know that this coupon is expired?" She then canceled the transaction and the charged my wife the full price. I guess the 10% is more important than happy customer. Another time, I brought a coupon and another cashier forgot to take 10% off the price. Rather than redoing the transaction, he told me to use the coupon another time. What's also sad is that when you bring a coupon, they rip a piece of it off so you can't use it again. Talk about petty! Sheesh! I also went home and weighed the crab. They charged us for 1.7 pounds and it was only 1.4 pounds. Nice business practice. This place is dishonest. Every time I order shrimp from this place, the seasoning gets more bland and less marinated into the shrimp. You could barely taste the seasoning in the shrimp. I think they need to marinate the shrimp within the seasoning longer before it's served. I always need to have lime when I eat from this place to bring out more flavors. The portion of the garlic bread is disappointing. You can actually taste the seasoning on the cajun fries. I do like that the restaurant provides peeled shrimp. Comparing to the boiling crab, I think the price was more reasonable and food were served much faster. For someone who used to live in Louisiana, I have to say the cajun sauce was so-so . I think they mixed the sauce with something else that actually degraded the flavor. However, the crawfish was very fresh. and the crab legs were delicious. make sure to order snow crab legs rather than the king crab legs. The king crab is twice more expensive and has almost the same amount of meat. Also, dont forget to order corn and potato. Taste so good with cajun sauce. Most of the food is market price. Crawfish is 13.95 per lb and snow crab leg is 15.95 per lb. Street parking is available outside. You can also park behind the building. Really good. Worth not driving all the way to Alhambra for this kind of crab/shrimp fix. Their staff is super nice also- from their hostess, bartender, server, busboy and even manager who ran the food to the table. Our server Sean was super attentive - made sure I had a bib and even tied it for me and kept coming back at the right times to make sure we had everything we needed. Prices are nearly the same as Boiling Crab and Boathouse. Their "cracking sauce- spicy" is a lot more spicier than the first two though- I couldn't slurp the sauce like I usually do. But the food itself- the crab & shrimp- were succulent and tasty. We'll be back...I saw a clam chowder on the menu board and want to try that out next time. read more

Craving lobster all week so I yelped it! Totally amazing. I can't believe I ate so much but everything was so good. Oysters, bacon covered shrimp and scallops for appetizer. Then lobster and king crab legs for entree with garlic noodles and garlic bread as sides. Everything was amazing I don't know why this place doesn't have a line out the door but I did come in before dinner rush.
