Free and easy parking in their shared lot in front. I got the Chicken Burrito ($13.00) and my friend Carne Asada ($20.00). I tried the Carne and both dishes were very good. The Carne was nicely seasoned and easy to chew. My Chicken Burrito had high salt content though--so if you get the Chicken Burrito--must like salt. The homemade salsas--all 3 were excellent and I dowsed my Burrito in the most spicy one. Place is clean and they have a separate men's and woman's restroom--men's was fine and I liked their urinal that prevents splashback. During your meal they play LOUD Mexican party music in the dining room--really gives the place a fun atmosphere. My husband and I were driving past In N Out and the line was LONG (as usual) so we ended up Lichis next door! The restaurant is actually quite cute inside! It is very clean and I loved the deco. The menu is minimal, but I actually prefer that since I'm not a fan of large menus. I got the bowl with carne asada. I thought for $14, the portion was great. The green sauce that came with it tasted very fresh. I'd get this again! My husband got the nachos, which were just okay. It felt a little lack luster especially since that's what he ordered for dinner. We will probably come back to try other things but skip the nachos. The staff were really friendly and kind! I went yesterday for some tacos and was so pleased (not a surprise!) with both of these: birria and pastor tacos. They were both meaty, not greasy at all and with great flavor. The menu has good options and I've tried most of them and they are all very good. The restaurant is casual and quick but it's clean and comfortable. I'm sooo glad we decided to stop by Lichis Mex! We had been driving around with our kids to see a few new spots and decided to try a new place to eat while we were at it. It's right next door in the shopping center to the In N Out Tujunga. I wish I had taken more pics of the food but believe me when I say everything is excellent and fresh here. We did dine in which also comes with free chips and salsa. We tried two burritos, street tacos (lichis way), asada torta and freshly made churros. Omg it's been a long time that I've found a delicious and authentic Mexican food place. Thank you guys!! The meat is fresh and tender, spiced perfectly, put me in such a happy mood. Oh yes, I loved it so much I'm typing this while I'm sitting in their restaurant. They have awesome music, plants and sombreros everywhere and all around super clean place. The front of the house staff are friendly and welcoming when ordering on the phone or at the restaurant. When an issue came up with my family's order, the staff and manager made effort to resolve it in a timely manner and we got it worked out. I appreciated that! Food: Aguas frescas are refreshing just a tad sweet for me. Grilled tacos de pescado (fish) and camarón (shrimp) as well as fiesta bowls and tostadas de ceviche were a hit. The food tastes high quality and pinto beans and Mexican rice are freshly made and made right. When ordering veggie fiesta bowl, make sure that you confirm all the ingredients before ordering since grilled veggies were not included in last order and I got extra corn instead. I hope they'll continue to have more vegan / plant based options in the future. In the mean time, here are some tips from my experience: 1. We were not impressed!! They put refried beans which oozes out when you take a bite. The breakfast burritos are better down the street at Everest AND much cheaper! Husband had the French toast. He said it was good, but not extra ordinary. Especially for the price. If you're going to charge these prices, then the food needs to stand out and not be just another order of French toast. Cashier didn't seem to care and was very unfriendly. When she served the food, she didn't even put silverware on her table. I had to go and request it from one of the cooks.
