No sense of care for the customer experience, just sit back and wallow in a poor operation...
David W.

The service was extremely slow for our basic lunch special meals. The food was very poorly prepared. What's worst is that the store management were sitting lazily playing on their laptop at a table in the dining room while customers were waiting for the mediocre food being produced. Save your time, and money!

Maybe three forks worth for 3.19......what else can I say?
Susan H.

Ordered take out. Yes they were swamped but I'm tired of getting ripped off when I get take out I added a serving of coleslaw to my order. I wonder how much you get in the restaurant? Barely three bites.

The service was fast and the food really good. Tonight I had the hamburger steak plate and I think it was the best I had in along time.

Traveled all day and looked for a place to eat and get drinks. We happened on a jewel! The steaks…read morewere the best we had in a long time 8oz Filet cooked to perfection; we have eaten at fine steak houses before and this was one of the very best! The lady that waited on us, Heather, could not have been more pleasant and efficient. What a pleasant way to end a long driving experiece. Barney's Roadhouse is a gem off the beaten path.

And for one of the very rare times, I wish I could add a sixth star to this place. I think my bartender was Erica, nice older woman. At least that's what it was on my ticket. Top notch hospitality. Place was super clean, they had sports playing on one TV, and had enlightening music playing on the other. This is the way all of America should be. I'm on my no carb kick, so I ordered two grilled pork chops with a side of their signature Brussels, and turnip greens. Hold on for a second, I just got done eating about a half an hour ago, and I just had to wipe the saliva off of my mouth while writing this. First of all, my entire meal was under $18. How these Alabama restaurants give you insane portion sizes, and still make a profit is beyond me. The rest of these restaurants in the country need to take note. My plate was huge, and even though it was my only meal of the day, I was still able to take a portion of my second pork chop back to the truck to enjoy tomorrow with my breakfast. The bartender told me that they hired her son as a cook. If this kid keeps slinging these skillets the way that he is, No doubt he will end up being legendary. My brussel sprouts were super good, my turnip greens were OFF.THE.CHAIN. I make collards at home, and this is the very first time I've actually had greens better than my own. I'm actually considering going in there and buying a quart to have on the truck with me. My pork chops? mannnn, If you know me, you know I cook, and these pork chops were nothing short of amazing. Crisp and crunchy on the outside, super super juicy on the inside, seasoned to perfection. This is the food that dreams are made of ladies and gentlemen. I wasn't going to have supper here tonight, because I still have leftovers from last night, but this is the south. If you have a little bit of intuition, you got to go all in, and then thank yourself later. One of the best meals literally that I've had, since early May. I hope this place keeps cranking out the caliber service and food they have, and I certainly hope I'm back in this part of Bama, Because I will definitely be returning. Five stars, just isn't enough. ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Weeks in advance, reservations were made for six persons at 4:30 p.m. in the main dining room…read more When I arrived, I was shown to a table in a small room adjacent to the service area; nevertheless, the table was too close to a naked wall for my visitor to gaze at throughout supper. "Well, if you want to wait, I can seat a table in the main dining hall at a much smaller table," the hostess said after asking. There goes the first item. I had boasted to my guest about how the restaurant was decorated. Then came the seating. No server, no server. Finally, STOPPED two of the many servers rushing past just to ask for water. The first server told us it was not her area. The second server rushed through, saying, "Yes, I will get you drinks." We asked if wine or cocktails were available; the response was that she would need to get an "adult to help." No adult ever came to help. No information/greeting of any type to welcome or on how to proceed with getting the food. Now for the $40 food. The appetizer of boiled shrimp tasted mushy, as it had just been poured from a container of water. Buffet: Did not know it would be an almost attempt at a country-type food buffet. Failed at that attempt, and not what would be expected from a fine dining restaurant. Black-eyed peas tasted like they had just been poured from a can, with no flavor. Dressing and mashed potatoes were good, and BBQ ribs were good. The ham had a large bone and gristle, the turkey was thick but dry, and the grease was starchy and had no flavor. The dessert was good, but we did not believe it was made at the restaurant; we ate some from Costco, and it tasted and looked the same. Very rushed and chaotic atmosphere. Staff running past 5-foot aisle along the back of our table and not once looking our way, without us waving them down to help. Used plates on the table were picked up much faster at other buffet restaurants. Maybe just a bad day for their business, but the customers paid for the fiasco. Not sure we will return; it was very disappointing and embarrassing for me to have guided my guest to the restaurant. Made me look and feel embarrassed. Do not believe this is the fine dining restaurant the Mashburns had intended. Classic on Noble Street in Anniston, Alabama, is closing permanently at the end of 2025 after 30 years in business. Owners Cathy and David Mashburn announced the decision on October 30, 2025

Service was quick and cheerful from all the staff. I had the fried catfish, baby lima beans, fried okra, and hush puppies. Spouse had shrimp basket, hush puppies, and homemade potato chips. As you can see, multiple fried foods. Fried okra is how I test "country" cooking. This was the best fried okra I have had in years. The catfish, shrimp and hush puppies were all excellent. It seems like they use a very light oil, but however, they do it the results are crunchy, non-greasy and bring out the flavor of the food. The way frying is meant to do. Very light breading but just enough. The baby lima beans were excellent. So many times I've had side orders that tasted just like they were scooped out of a 5 gallon can of Sysco product. I could be wrong, maybe it was the very very mild seasoning, but these did not seem commercial. A few caveats. There was a single catfish fillet and it was quite small. I recall getting the catfish fillet meal at the old Gibson's on the Parkway before it burned down. Two large fillets. But actually they could not compare to this. Hush puppies were excellent, I like more onions in them. But that's my preference. But for me, this does not takeoff from the overall five star rating, which I rarely give on a first visit. If you like country food, by all means go here. We will be back.

Our parents have known each other since before we were around and it was a homecoming of sorts. We opted to come here for a good ol' fashioned meat and three. The place is super cute! It's literally like a Grandmother's house! The menu covered all the bases. When we ordered and got our food, it was all tasty and delicious but truth be told, it tasted like the food I served at work! Literally carbon copy. That said, my job served good food too! I was just hoping for something that set them apart from the rest but I guess you can't complain about tried and true!
