Drunken chicken biscuit. I think that was the name. Phenomenal and the loaded hashbrown was the perfect addition!

This place is fantastic from the food and ambiance to the service! Highly recommend the drunken chicken biscuit and this loaded hash browns! I'm so glad I don't live close by I'd eat here everyday. Wish we would've been staying in the area longer so we could've tried more stuff!!

Clover on Court was a fun experience, and our server Braxden was great. The food was a little underwhelming, but it was good non the less. We had the pork belly special appetizer, chopped steak, shepherd's pie, chicken and waffles, and Pasta Sicilian. The shepherds pie was amazing. The salad made the shepherds pie. It was fresh and a perfect accompaniment to the rich potatoes and beef. The pasta Sicilian was not good at all, pasta needs to be left to the Italians. All 6 of us tried it, and not a single one of us took more than two bites each. (We all tried to see if we would be willing to swap plates with the one that ordered). The restaurant is cute, but loud. Not a date night kind of place, but nice with friends. Would I come back? absolutely. Is it the best I've ever had? No. All in all. 7/10.

My wife and I were passing thru town on a Thursday night and decided to try out Harp & Clover. Our visit was prompted by the intriguing reviews of this downtown pub and eatery, which proved to have a warm and friendly vibe ensconced within a tasteful upscale environment that seamlessly blended both traditional southern and Irish themes. Although a weeknight, the bar and adjoining dining rooms were pretty much full and although a little loud the overall effect was both trendy and welcoming. We started with a black eyed pea hummus and homemade onion dip appetizer, served with both veggies and homemade chips. My favorite was the hummus, my wife's the onion dip. Both were very good. I had the signature shepherd's pie. It was traditional and savory with an excellent crust and served with a fine soda bread. My mate had the Reuben sandwich and tomato soup. She enjoyed both. We passed on desserts because our meals had been portioned so generously, but plan to try the bread pudding next time, as it looked great being served at a table nearby. One other thing. I enjoyed a Guinness with my meal and it was served at the perfect temperature to bring out its hoppy goodness, cool but not icy, which is a detail missed in many establishments in the USA. Hopefully, we can return. Harp & Clover is highly recommended!

Awesome brunch today!!! We were going to go to an out of town restaurant, but decided to keep it local and so glad we did! It was a beautiful morning, nice and cool, and the staff propped open the doors letting in a cool outdoor breeze! It was a great idea! I had the chicken and waffles, and that was the best waffle I've ever eaten! Putting the candied jalapeños on them was a great touch! My chicken was fried perfectly and the bacon was cooked just right. Not too crispy! I highly recommend the tater tot casserole!!! It was incredible! The rest of my group all enjoyed their meals very much! Such a good choice today! Thanks so much! We'll be back!

Service was attentive. Food was not like other reviews and pictures. We got the fish and chips and burger. It came with a HUGE portion of fish. Fries could have been crispier. For appetizer we had loaded chips and bangers app. Honey mustard was very good.

No photos of food because we demolished it. Lol. But Spiderman said hey.

Me and Spiderman stopped in for some grub. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. And the food. Omg the FOOD. SOOO GOOD. I ordered the chicken ans waffles and he got the kids pasta and fries. He decided he wanted my chicken instead Soni aye his noodles and the rest of my chicken and waffles. Everything we ordered was sooo delicious. I'd come back for the chicken and waffles, alone. Also, the Playlist was cool, too. Kudos to whomever is in charge of it!

The pub itself looks like one you'd find in some forgotten little village in rural Ireland -- a place that time left behind from the 60s or 70s. It reeked of cigarette smoke (which is still allowed in bars in Alabama apparently). The bartender/owner was very nice and seemed genuinely happy to have customers on a slow Sunday afternoon. He was helpful in recommending some beers (they have a good selection on draft -- most from regional breweries). We ordered the Irish spice bags of course and enjoyed our beers while we waited. The fried chicken pieces and French fries came in the bag, well seasoned. On the side were the fried green peppers and fried onions and the golden curry. We added the peppers, onions and curry to the bags, shook them up and tore them open to dig into this hearty Irish treat. The chicken pieces were tender and nicely breaded (the breading did not fall off). They were quite tasty on their own. The fries were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside. The peppers and onions were fried to light brown and had just the right amount of softness. The golden curry was only mildly spicy with a great curry flavor. All mixed together, it was everything we hoped it would be. Well worth the trip to a smoky dive bar in a strip mall (we didn't even notice the smoky smell once the food came). If you've never had a spice bag, this place does them well. Food and service 5. Atmosphere 3. That accounts for the 4 rating.

Before we even ordered, my son looked across the restaurant and said, "Don't we know that guy?" Sure enough, I turned around and there was an old friend I hadn't seen in years. Funny how life works sometimes--you go out looking for supper and end up catching up with someone you haven't seen in forever. I ordered the O'Brady Burger with fries, and my son went with the wings and fries. The food came out after a short wait, hot off the grill and looking every bit as good as it tasted. That first bite of the burger sealed the deal. It was juicy, flavorful, and honestly one of the better burgers I've had in quite a while. The fries were hot, crispy, and exactly what fries ought to be. Between the great food, friendly service, and unexpectedly reconnecting with an old friend, it turned into one of those meals that reminds you why local restaurants are worth supporting. I don't make it over to Hoover as often as I'd like, but Beef O'Brady's is definitely staying on my list when I'm in the area. And with a Tuscaloosa location reportedly on the way, I'm looking forward to making it a regular stop a whole lot closer to home. Sometimes the best nights aren't planned--they just happen over a great burger and good company.

She enjoyed two lovely cups of their coffee and then I think water, and I had some vino since she was driving. We split a 10 ounce filet mignon (which is not on the lunch menu but is available if you ask for it) and it was beyond delicious! I trusted our excellent server (I think her name was Holly) to select the cut of meat for sister and me from the butcher shoppe, Corkshire, and it was beyond excellent!! It was just as good, if not better than the filet I split with my Sorority Sister when we came here for my birthday in February! Sister and I also shared their take on a bruschetta. It was good; however, for me, it was the "weak link" - I like a traditional bruschetta with buffalo mozzarella, balsamic, fresh ripened tomatoes, etc., and this was more akin to a charcuterie board on toasty bread slices. It looked beautiful! The meat topping was plentiful and lovely, it had more fat on it than I care to have. There was a sort of berry relish on another layer and that's where I called it quits on the bruschetta. My sister did enjoy it, though, which is what mattered! We ordered two mac and English cheddar cheese fritters for Sister, and she really really loved those! They were presented wrapped individually in their to go box, to keep each one warm, and again, Sister, loved them! Neither of us had room for desert which, since Salty Cod has a separate bakery/gelato shoppe, would have offered some delicious options! Thanks, Salty Cod, for another memorable, relaxing birthday celebration!
