We made reservations for a Saturday night at 5:00, since we were going to see the light festival at the park. We did not know there was a pub crawl for St Patty's day happening on the day of our reservation. We were the first to be seated in the restaurant since it opened at 5:00. Once we sat down we found out there was a limited dinner menu. The waitress took our drink order right away, but it took 20 minutes for the drinks to be delivered. While waiting for the drinks the waitress took our food order, took our food a good 40 minutes to be served after we ordered. The waitress told us our food was delayed because one item was burned in the oven and had to be remade. When we finally got our order one of the entrees was cold and the other was luke warm. We had ordered both entrees medium, but they were also over cooked. I understand they were busy with the pub crawl, but that should not have impacted their service as much as we experienced. What really disappointed me that the restaurant did not make us aware of the limited dinner menu and that they also were hosting a pub crawl when we made reservations. We could have made a decision to cancel the reservation before we traveled to the restaurant I hope the owners of this restaurant will plan better in the future and make their patrons aware of special circumstances affecting the menu. All I know is that I will not be returning. read more

Clover on Court was a fun experience, and our server Braxden was great. The food was a little underwhelming, but it was good non the less. We had the pork belly special appetizer, chopped steak, shepherd's pie, chicken and waffles, and Pasta Sicilian. The shepherds pie was amazing. The salad made the shepherds pie. It was fresh and a perfect accompaniment to the rich potatoes and beef. The pasta Sicilian was not good at all, pasta needs to be left to the Italians. All 6 of us tried it, and not a single one of us took more than two bites each. (We all tried to see if we would be willing to swap plates with the one that ordered). The restaurant is cute, but loud. Not a date night kind of place, but nice with friends. Would I come back? absolutely. Is it the best I've ever had? No. All in all. 7/10. read more

We just stopped in for dessert and we were really glad we did. Wanted the Bailey's cheesecake but saw they also had a molten chocolate cake. Couldn't decide on which one to get so we got both. Both were absolutely delicious!! Nice ambiance too. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Great service despite the prom crowd. Food was great! Chicken was a little dry in the voodoo pasta was our only dislike but the pasta sauce, shrimp, and sausage made it great!! Fish and chips, the fish and tartar sauce are seriously so good!!! Molten chocolate dessert wasn't our fav but definitely not bad. read more

My wife and I were passing thru town on a Thursday night and decided to try out Harp & Clover. Our visit was prompted by the intriguing reviews of this downtown pub and eatery, which proved to have a warm and friendly vibe ensconced within a tasteful upscale environment that seamlessly blended both traditional southern and Irish themes. Although a weeknight, the bar and adjoining dining rooms were pretty much full and although a little loud the overall effect was both trendy and welcoming. We started with a black eyed pea hummus and homemade onion dip appetizer, served with both veggies and homemade chips. My favorite was the hummus, my wife's the onion dip. Both were very good. I had the signature shepherd's pie. It was traditional and savory with an excellent crust and served with a fine soda bread. My mate had the Reuben sandwich and tomato soup. She enjoyed both. We passed on desserts because our meals had been portioned so generously, but plan to try the bread pudding next time, as it looked great being served at a table nearby. One other thing. I enjoyed a Guinness with my meal and it was served at the perfect temperature to bring out its hoppy goodness, cool but not icy, which is a detail missed in many establishments in the USA. Awesome brunch today!!! We were going to go to an out of town restaurant, but decided to keep it local and so glad we did! It was a beautiful morning, nice and cool, and the staff propped open the doors letting in a cool outdoor breeze! It was a great idea! I had the chicken and waffles, and that was the best waffle I've ever eaten! Putting the candied jalapeños on them was a great touch! My chicken was fried perfectly and the bacon was cooked just right. Not too crispy! I highly recommend the tater tot casserole!!! It was incredible! Inside had several empty tables but we were told it would be about 30-60 min. wait to be seated inside. We were offered outdoor seating at a covered picnic table that was difficult to sit down at. Waitress was cordial, but apparently indoor diners were a higher priority. Service was very slow - took over 30 min to get drinks once ordered with no ice was brought out with ice. When it was sent back, it was obvious the just dumped the drink in another glass because it was less than 1/2 full. Food choices were limited and so-so. My party and I were having a nice time at dinner. The food was good but our drinks, two long islands and a margarita weren't great. One of my friends asked us to try their drink because it tasted like gin instead of tequila and it did in fact taste like gin. We had already paid and weren't asking for anything but I wanted to our server, Jes, know so she could let the bartender know margaritas should be made with tequila instead of gin. I get Jes's attention and let her know but instead of receiving an apology or an affirmation that they'll let them know she gets an attitude and tells us she watched the bartender make the drink and insist that it was tequila. If it was tequila, it's some of the worst tequila I have ever tasted and you'd think that the restaurant would want to know that. But instead Jes just decided to get an attitude with us which was totally uncalled for. Thanks for ruining what could have been a nice experience, Jes. I don't care how good the food might be at a restaurant. If the staff are going to treat you like crap I would not recommend going there. read more

The ambience is that of a pub. Food was served very quickly and order was accurate. The appetizer "Banger Bites" was awesome with one little downfall....most of the cheese sauce was on the plate and not on the chips. The Pan Seared Halibut was flaky and very savory. The J&D Chicken Platter could use a little more seasoning but the texture was great and very juicy with every bite. Overall, I am very pleased and will return and try a different menu item next time. I really like it here and wish the Gadsden area had more restaurants like this. I've probably been about 4 times and my food has always been amazing (except for one time - we'll get to that). Pictures attached are from the brunch we had. Loaded Brussel Sprouts, - charred perfection (but that's how I like mine) - Chicken and waffles with covered with Egg and Bacon - My wife liked this dish, but it wasn't her favorite she has had here. Waygu Burger - Spot on - this is how burgers are meant to be. Also, $3 mimosas weren't a bad way to top things off. Previously I've tried a few things. The only problem I've ever had was when they had the Waygu Steak, which was a special menu item. I ordered mine medium and it came out rarer that rare. Now, they took care of the problem quickly and also made up for it by providing us with a dessert. Also, it was really good when they got it back to me a couple minutes later. Staff are always friendly and take good care of us. I'd recommend them if you've never tried them. In case they forget to tell you, make sure to find out what the current specials are. read more

Went there for a New Year's Eve dinner with my husband. We were looking forward to a special dinner in celebration of another year, we were so disappointed! We wanted to have a nice celebratory drink with our dinner , after asking for three different drinks one was captain Morgan rum , didn't have , second was Jameson and ginger ale , no ginger ale, third honey old fashion didn't have ! Now we have been to this restaurant several times in the past and loved it food was great and service as wonderful but this time was just miserable even the specific menu for the day ( which I completely understand) wasn't anything special. I can't understand when you have a nice restaurant with a full bar that they can't accommodate. If I ever go back which I doubt I will definitely lower my expectations all the way around . read more

We waited for over an hour for our table, and another hour and half for our food. Glasses were dirty. I'll probably try it again - maybe they were having an off night. If you have a large group like ours there's a service charge that goes directly to the server (we asked). But read carefully - it's not an Irish Pub. The service and ambiance was wonderful. We sat outside on a beautiful day and it was very relaxing. We went there for lunch. The waitress told us that the fish and chips was probably a good choice. However, I noticed some of the specialty items on the menu that were highlighted were more of my liking. I ordered the Belfast beef, which was a shaved roast beef sandwich with dipping sauce. I got a mixed salad as a side. The dipping sauce, which was a horseradish sauce, mixed with maybe a sour cream and dill was delicious on my sandwich but I was a little disappointed as I had expected the roast beef to be more like a fresh roast beef, Instead, it reminded me of a packaged thin, sliced beef like a steak umm. my salad wasn't as fresh as I hoped it was a little bit withered. I will say that I would pay a few more dollars for a better quality, sliced roast beef on a fresh roll with fresh salad.
