We're visiting from Out Of State and we love going to Cracker Barrel's when we're traveling. We had the senior chicken dinner and it was perfect. I love the green beans and mashed potatoes with a single fried chicken breast. The corn muffins are so good! Our server was really sweet and very quick with refills and brought out our dinner very fast. It is a nice bright restaurant. It's always fun to do a little shopping when we're done. This is literally the worst Cracker Barrel that I've been to. If it was not for our server, Candace, I would give them zero stars. I ordered something simple, which was the old time's breakfast. My bacon was way too crispy, although I asked for it not to be. My turkey sausage was burnt on one side, and I had to send that back. The hash brown casserole was cold, and so were my eggs. I'm not sure what is going on in the kitchen here, but if there's another location to visit, I would much prefer to go to that one. Unfortunately, I was in town for an event and did not have a rental vehicle, so this one was within reasonable distance from my hotel. Candace was amazing and I believe she said that this is only her fourth day working here. She clearly has experience working hospitality and was beyond accommodating and apologetic. This Cracker Barrel location was just West of I-71 on Turfway Rd. I stopped in here for an early lunch on a Monday before heading over to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport to catch my flight. After I was seated, I started things off with some black coffee. We stopped at Cracker Barrel on our way to a Cincinnati Bengals game.I was there with my dad, my cousin, and my daughter, so it was one of those meaningful family moments and Cracker Barrel absolutely delivered. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, exactly what you want when you're traveling together and getting excited for a big game. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of without feeling rushed, which is always appreciated when you're with family. The highlight of the meal was definitely the biscuits and gravy--they were outstanding. The biscuits were soft, fluffy, and fresh, and the gravy was rich, flavorful, and comforting in that classic Southern way Cracker Barrel does so well. It was the kind of meal that leaves everyone at the table happy and satisfied. My daughter really enjoyed her meal and I got to eat her eggs because she don't like eggs so that was an added bonus for me. This Cracker Barrel location is under construction, the sign is down, and I wasn't even sure that it was open. But the parking lot was full and a sign near the door said they were open during remodeling. I placed an order to go, two eggs over medium, three pancakes, and a side of hash brown casserole. Not the healthiest breakfast I realize, but was an occasional treat. One reason that I don't usually order pancakes at restaurants is because I prefer a real maple syrup with my pancakes. Few restaurants actually serve real maple syrup, and I would be willing to pay extra for it, but usually it isn't available. However, I noticed that Cracker Barrel has been advertising 100% pure natural syrup, so I took that to mean real maple syrup. My order was well packaged, and complete with everything I had ordered. The eggs were perfectly cooked to over medium, as I had requested. Hash brown casserole was tasty, as always, and the pancakes were good. The "100% Pure Natural Syrup" turned out to be 50% Vermont Maple Syrup and 50% Cane sugar. It tasted very good, much better than the typical artificially maple - flavored corn syrup and water that passes for pancake syrup at most restaurants. So although the "100% Pure Natural Syrup"wasn't truly 100% real maple syrup, it was very good. read more

It had been a long time since I'd been to this or any other Cracker Barrel restaurants. It's always been one of my favourites since childhood and they still do a lot of those same things that I loved as a kid. They still have the store at the front of the restaurant with all sorts of cool merchandise. Once you get past that we got a nice seat not far from the working fireplace which makes it feel like home for sure. They have modified their menu over the years but they still have all of the old favourites like chicken and dumplings and some the hashbrown casserole. I do wish they would bring back their beef stew but that's been gone for a long time. On this occasion I got the Chicken Fried Chicken which was their crispy homestyle fried chicken covered with sawmill gravy. Their white gravy is some of the very best that I know of and was absolutely delicious on top of the fried chicken. I got corn, steak fries, and extra biscuits for my sides. The corn was corn, the steak fries were excellent, and I absolutely LOVE Cracker Barrel biscuits. Put it all together and it was a tremendous brunch. The service was excellent, the restaurant made it feel like home, and the food was excellent. We couldn't ask for anything else. read more

It is everything you'd expect in a Cracker Barrel, but backwards. Backwards as in the layout of the restaurant, first time I walked in to a location and didn't go left into the dining room. For Van lifers, they have a separate parking lot that was quiet and clean. I would recommend this place, great location. Staff was friendly and food was good. read more

I just wanted a nice breakfast but instead me and my wife had to wait 15 minutes just for drink orders and 30 minutes for food. When food finally got here my pancakes were crispy, my bacon was soggy, my eggs were rubbery, and my wife's dumplings were all just one nasty clump. And the new design? It's awful. read more

They didn't answer their phone after 5 minutes so we tried the mobile app. One screen said the food would be ready at 5PM while another said 4PM. Once we arrived, we noticed that the pick-up area doesn't even have warmers. Registers weren't even working and it seemed very chaotic. Also, the corn bread muffins tastes terrible. read more

I've never been to a cracker barrel until now. Being from California, there weren't any so apparently this place is like a big deal. Lol. There's a lot going on at the entrance because it's a gift shop and I have to say that's a really interesting setup. I do love the fact that they have a roaring fireplace going in the middle of the restaurant and it gives such a nice cozy vibe. The wait wasn't too long for a Sunday and we got a seat probably within 10 minutes. The staff were really friendly and informative - if we had any questions on the menu. Since this was my first time, I went big! Lol I ordered the grandpa's country fried breakfast which included a country-fried steak, two eggs, biscuits and gravy, and the potato hash casserole. To be honest I didn't have an expectation on the potato hash casserole, but holy crap that tasted so amazing. Everything was super good and I honestly can't believe I ate the entire thing. This place has been a hit or miss with having more misses. Table would be half cleaned and or utensils having stains. I used to come here for the cheap and delicious food with large portions but now it's gotten expensive and significantly smaller portions. I stoped in at 6:15 am and they were up and running. My daughter had the beignet's and I had the steak and eggs. Both were outstanding.

Staff seemed friendly and quick. Food wasn't so great. I guess a lot of restaurants have cheapened their ingredients. I ordered a pot pie. It was ok, but I've had Stouffer and Marie Callender pot pies that were slightly better. The crust is a thin square layer that gets mushy when you eat it. Not at all like a pie crust. Normally when you come to a place hungry it doesn't matter how bad the food taste you still enjoy it. Well not in this case. I ordered the pancakes and bacon. And my husband order the chicken plate. Well you can tell the chicken wasn't fresh and the food was only lukewarm. Mine (the pancakes and bacon) the pancakes had been sitting for a while and the bacon was as close to raw but cooked and both were also only lukewarm. I got one small container of syrup and had to ask for more, more than once. When I got it the syrup was ice cold which only made the pancakes even colder. This was the worst experience I have had at a Cracker Barrel. It sucked because I came here from out of town and stopped here for just the pancakes. read more

I was in town for work and came in for breakfast after finishing up an early day. I hadn't been to a Cracker Barrel in probably ten years, but these restaurants haven't changed much at all. Decent Southern-style breakfast food. Solid biscuits and gravy! Service was great, but the food here is just not enough of my taste to keep me coming back. I wish they added in some healthier options to their menu. There is a way to re-vamp your menu without losing your original charm. read more

I've eaten here at Cracker Barrel a few times in my life. It's ok. This wouldn't be my first place to come for breakfast. My cousins loved this place. So, before we hit the road to return home from our weekend stay in Cincinnati. My vote was over ruled and Cracker Barrel was where we landed to eat for breakfast. The wait for a table wasn't long and we were seated in no time and was ready to order. Our waitress was nice and friendly. She made sure we had glasses of water with lemons and condiments. The food was decent. My eggs were a little under cooked. I could still see the yellow yoke in the middle of my eggs. I certain said to make sure my eggs were scrambled well done. Apparently this place is known in the Midwest. I ordered their pancakes and country fried steak, it was good. It's always busy here so I couldn't tell you what's a good time to show up when there's no crowd.
