You cant ever go wrong with Cracker Barrel in my opinion. And just to show off I even posted the one golf tee remaining on the famous puzzle they have here. I was in the Brennan Georgia location near I -20 yesterday . I went in with the hope all was back to normal. Sadly it was not . While my server was great at her job the food was well below the standard I was used to having . I ordered meatloaf / chicken fried okra mashed potatoes and gravy and biscuits . The meatloaf was fine the biscuits good as normal but the checkin failed the taste test as did the instant mashed potatoes well I hope they where instant if not you guys have a serious produce supply problem. Let's start with the chicken . It was dry to salty and the batter it was dipped in had little if any flavor among other things. The mashed potatoes had a strange flavor I can not describe . The gravy was fine except to little of it . I drank unsweetened tea which was fine . I tipped the server on service not the food other wise she would have rec nothing . Hopefully with a new person in charge you work on your food not the looks of the place. Most of us are fine with the old look and the good food you once served . read more

This is the third time I've attempted coming to the Bremen Cracker Barrel in the last 6 months and each time the establishment and their cleaning habits have become noticeably worse. I am one for giving chances and understand some places just have "bad" days but after today having yet another terrible (and probably the worst) experience so far I think I'm done with this place, The picture of the silverware on the plate was the first set brought out to us. The second silverware is what they brought out to "replace it"... I eventually just ended up asking for plastic silverware. Upon getting to our table we witnessed the host wiping a dry rag across the table and knocking crumbs from the last guests table off into the floor (no cleaning sprays were used) while we waited for our food we also noticed this happen to many other tables as guests were being seated they too were waiting as the host just wiped "at" the table, not cleaning it. The cups and plates had fingerprints and food residue leftover. The food itself was very salty (pot roast), Other persons food was old fried up bacon pieces and a piece of sausage that was also dried out with a portion of it missing !!? ( food not pictured because at this point I was just bamboozled at how bad the experience was going yet again) spoke with manager and she listened to the same complaints written here and gave a gentle "sorry" and said the hosts should be properly cleaning and would speak to them.. Not sure how a manager can't see with their own eyes the problems in their own place of work. It doesn't appear she's really managing anything at all other than some potential lawsuits from when people start suing for illnesses brought by how disturbingly disgusting this place really is. read more

Cracker Barrel has changed so much. The food wasn't good at all! I had salad, potato and fried pickles. The salad was premade and very very cold, as was the potato. The fried pickles were clearly frozen, not fresh made and the breading was awful. My daughter had fried fish and didn't like it either. The biscuits were good. Literally a on going joke with my family. Every time I come to this place they forget to bring my order. Everyone gets their food except me, the one that is paying for it. My daughter wanted to come here for her birthday dinner, and once again my food never came, everyone had finished before they even came to check on us. 3rd time this has happened to me. Mmmmm.... So sooo good. Came for breakfast on a Friday- around 1 pm. Yes! Breakfast at 1 pm. Don't judge me. Lol. I was on vacation. And luckily you can count on Cracker Barrel to serve it allll day! We had Logan as our waiter and he was amazinggggg!! Such a great, wonderful, hospitable attitude! Service was just excellent ! The food was delicioussss, too! I got a breakfast that included 2 eggs, loaded hash browns, bacon, cinnamon apples, and biscuits. My sis got a meal that included pancakes, and omggg. Her pancakes were sooo good. I couldn't get my fork out of her plate!! I was craving biscuits so bad and they were so soft and warm and buttery and fluffy! Mmm! Hit the spot! Staff in the store were so nice and friendly. Offered me a bag for my leftovers while I was shopping around. Offered help with anything. Very nice. Loved my experience here and am dying to return soon! read more

Just don't seem to have enough people. Told wait time was 15-20 minutes but it was 35. Should be able to estimate better. I would not have knowingly waited that long. Once at table - just 2 of us - took 20 minutes just for rolls after asking for them. Bought salad and hot food together 40 minutes after we sat down. Use to love Cracker Barrel. My kids liked their food, but mine was terrible. I had the Apple French Toast with bacon, and I asked for my bacon to be extra crispy. The bacon I got was not extra crispy, as pictured. I asked for new bacon, and they gave me bacon that they cooked then microwaved. Crusty and gross. The French toast was so burned on the outside that I couldn't cut it. They comped my meal, but that was only fair since it was basically inedible. Would not retry this experience. read more

We travel a lot. This is the worst location I have ever been to. We love Cracker Barrel. We were served a rotten steak that had tried to be microwaved. Asked for manager and he was beyond rude. Said that they open the steak as they cook them..ok that's great but the steak inside the packaging was rotten and stunk when cut open. No sorry nothing he went into defense mode. We were letting him know that this could potentially be a bad situation if the others are ruined as well. We own a brunch spot so we know health codes and protocol and if this happened at our business we would like to know. He was not having it. The biscuits were burnt and the service took way too long for breakfast. The health department and corporate needs to step in at this location. read more

We are on the 8th day of a bus tour. We've eaten at 12 Cracker Barrel's. The one in Bremen #613 was contacted about seating 33 customers in 30 minutes. The Mgr agreed that they could accommodate us. When we arrived she said we would need to wait about 1 hour to be seated. This is ridiculous. She had agreed and then changed her tune when we arrived. All the other Cracker Barrel's were accommodating and pleasant. This Mgr was snippy and rude. She ask if we didn't know it was Sunday. Of course we do but she had agreed to seat us in a certain time frame, then turned us away when we arrived. She lost 33 customers for Cracker Barrel and the tour company of 150 buses. read more

Not impressed at all. Seated immediately to a table for 2 with trays and pitchers on it. Greeter moved them then put our menu and utensils on table and walked away. The table obviously needed cleaning so I had to pursue the busboy to clean it. Not the way to treat paying customers and expect return visits. This was bad. I was coming here for that good ole southern charm food. That food that reminds you of visiting your mee maw in South Georgia. That good ole charm that brings you back to ridin that horse and carriage. The kind of restaurant that brings you bliss every time you walk in and see all of your southern charm friends. Well it's not. I walked in and nobody had that charm. Waitress said "find your own seat I can't deal with slow elders right now." I sat down and cried for a few minutes. She handed me a Menu and it was NOT that nice sweet honey nectar Southern charm. The menu went vegan. They only offered veggie burgers, avocado toast, and plain tofu. A bit ridiculous I would say but whatever. I ordered a veggie burger because what's to lose other than my dignity. She sat the plate down and I took a bite, or tried to at least, it was frozen. After overcoming a recent Staph infection and an E COLI. Scare, this was so upsetting. I threw the burger at the worker out of rage. They escorted me out of the store and I got arrested. OMG this is the worst Cracker Barrel I have ever been too. We stopped here this Morn but we very quickly realized we shouldn't have. 1. The host was not there to greet us and we had to wait okay strike one then we ordered 2 grandpa breakfasts w/ country fried steak. Well as we were waiting we looked around and saw a group of women who looked like they had been there awhile- they were getting agitated (no food) , a older couple same( he finally got up , found someone and said Do you have people working here. )Next one of the women when the waitress came to fill coffee asked how much longer will it b and the waitress tried to placate her with its on its way. We know its not on the way. Stop the excuses. The woman then says will it b 5 min or 15 specifics please. Well through the fiasco unfolding before our eyes we had sense and left after about 15 min.. we did go a bit farther down to oxford, al and we had a nice, super quick breakfast(as it should b) Before we left my husband watched the pass(where they stack the food for it to go out) . He timed how long just one plate sat there over 10 min til someone finally got it. Another tray of food was shoved up there and still the first one was still there. Then another one was put on there. I dont go to restaurants for cold food neither does he!! Here's the thing my money is valuable /his too we dont give our money for poor service and cold food . By the way on the other side there were other people who didnt have their food either. Here's a thought 1. Hire more employees - the ones you do have came in entirely too late to help the one poor waitress who was there from opening then they didnt help her put the food out. 2. It's a Cracker Barrel. Good for long road trips when you don't want a burger. It's a big place, all Cracker Barrel's are. It doesn't exceed in one thing. It just does average at anything. But it's a good change up. I like their meatloaf. Is it the best, no. But it's good and it's not a burger and fries. It comes with three sides. Variety is the spice of life, and most of their food is a little under spiced. But you've been on the road. It feels good to sit down to a hot meal of some home cooking. The macaroni was pretty good at this one. The meatloaf was standard. The potato hash or whatever it was wasn't bad. It served its purpose. You meet a lot of interesting people in life and you can be having a bad day. But when you go into this restaurant you are greeted with respect and a smile. I was having a bad day and my waiter was nice and smiled and put up with my attitude without hesitation. I'm not saying that i should have given an attitude and i regret being so ill mannered but he changed my attitude i was smiling and enjoyed a great meal. He is a really big and tall guy so I'm extremely happy he had a great attitude and seemed to understand that i was having a rough day. He also told me the only way to pick my spirits up was to have some of there chocolate coke cake and icecream. Well i tell you it was great and so was the server . One thing for certain, is that when you go to one Cracker Barrel, you've gone to most of them all. The service is always excellent, fairly priced and the food is good. Not great, but good. First you pass through a sea of country decor, clothes, foods and housewares. Then you meet the hostess, who will seat you. Your waitress/waiter will take your order and deliver it in a timely manner. They will check on you if anything else is needed, once. I have occasionally had slower service, or wait listed for a table. But that is more the exception than the rule. For the traveller, it's not fine dining but it is good food, and is consistent. I have grown up eating at Cracker Barrel since I was a kid and I think this will be my last visit. It took over 1.5 hours for my family to get food. We frequently sat with empty cups, asked several times for syrup since my daughter's pancakes came without any, and could never find the wait staff. We were told multiple times the kitchen was just backed up with to-go orders. Perhaps if you get it to-go you'll have better luck. read more
