I was in the mood for fried catfish and decided to try Louis Cajun Seafood…read more I can honestly say, I wasn't expecting much. However, I was happily surprised. Louis' Cajun Seafood offers seafood boils, fried fish (Whiting, Catfish and Tilapia), fried chicken and sides. I ordered the Fried Fish Basket with 3 Pieces of Catfish and a side of fries. When I got my food, it was hot and fresh. The catfish was fried and had just the right amount of crunch. The fries were crispy and everything was well-seasoned. The flavor, the portions, the entire meal instantly made me a fan. The only problem I had was the sauce I had ordered on the side was placed on top of the food...making the sauce hot. I highly recommend Louis Cajun Seafood to anyone who loves perfectly cooked fish.

No apologies. Went to my car to make a quick call because the music was loud even outside. The 2nd order was there when I got back. After eating about two bites, I realized there was a bone in the chimi - about 2-1/2" long and I became upset. We asked for the waiter, he finally came but went to check us out 1st. When I asked politely to see the manager, he walked away and came back said "he's gone..." I pointed the bone on the plate to him and I said that "it could have punctured my throat", he said "I could write it off" and I asked if there's anything else. He said "I'll take it off the bill" No apologies. Then he blamed it on the kitchen. After that, I told my son I was gonna wait in the car. Later the waiter pointed on menu to my son that "small chicken bone or pieces...might be present." He told him "It was a big bone!" This was my favorite restaurant and ate there often. Won't recommend to anyone eat there...until things improve.

Here is what they did well: - great bread, truly amazing as house made - gelato was fantastic - pretty inside/decor - sides were pretty good Here is where it went south: - our serve was very casual and almost seemed put off by us. Not attentive, not overly welcoming or friendly - my girlfriend stated it was my birthday, an our waitress saw me with a birthday gift and no acknowledgement no asking oh is it your birthday? Meanwhile 2 other tables received a happy birthday, with a candle and dessert - when going to a "steakhouse" is that you go there expect to have an amazing steak. Not the case, my "medium" steak was cooked half medium half rare. For a filet it was also very fatty. when I asked the server (probably 25 minutes after our food was served) she said it didn't look medium and offers to put it back on. no apology Overall it felt very underwhelming and when you pay $70 for a steak you expect it to be right. On top of that celebrating a special occasion, for a $200 meal for 2 people, it Was a bland experience. We've heard amazing reviews so hopefully your experience will be different than ours! We said we'd give it another shot but not going with steak.

They did have one or two carry out orders. The Fried wonton appetizer was excellent, The rest of the food was good, not great. My wife's noodles with shrimp was good. But my szeschuan scallops were only OK, but not great. The price was very good and the service was as well. But with no other customers, I would expect good service. We had plenty of food and both took home 1/2 of the meal. They do not serve alcohol, and that may be an issue for some. There were several televisions on with one having the volume up loud enough for us to hear. It was tuned to a news station. Neither of us care to have a television on when eating. It is unfortunate that the neighborhood has deteriorated over the years. That may hurt them. There was a group of us, friends, that used to eat there around 30 to 40 years ago when they had huge crowds of customers. Not so now. The building is in need of a major do over. I do not know how long the restaurant was closed, and the building shows the lack of attention. The 3 star rating is due to the condition of the building and parking lot. The food was easily a 4 star. All in all it was a good meal and served relatively quickly.
