Ambiance is great. Feels like you're in a cabin in the woods. Service is prompt and friendly. Food is solid. Shrimp tacos hit and were absolutely packed with shrimp. Cocktails were tasty and followed the theme well. Will be bringing friends next time for sure!
Went in on another weekday night and were able to accommodate us without a reservation. Got the camp anawanna, still delicious with toasty cocoa notes. And also got the seasonal margarita-prickly pear. I thought it was delicious but my partner thought it was a bit too sweet. Ended with the lava chocolate cake. Yummy but not worth $14, a bit small for that price. Ambiance is impeccable as always, it seems they change the decor ever so slightly? This time there were whispers of skulls, maracas, reminiscent of Dia de los muertos.
Tracking down a solid drink in Orange County without stumbling into a sugar bomb takes some effort, but Cozy Pine totally nails the assignment. The space itself has a genuinely cute campground aesthetic that sets the ideal backdrop for a relaxed afternoon or evening out. We went with the Outdoor Oldie and the Lycheed & Loaded cocktails, and both were balanced and delicious. You obviously need proper snacks to anchor drinks that good, and their BBQ Shoestring Fries hit the exact right note of crispy and salty. The environment is effortlessly chill, but the bar program absolutely means business. My idea of camping.
Cozy Pine feels like a hidden gem I almost don't want to share. But after the evening we had, I can't help but spill every delicious detail. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in warm, cozy pine--wood-paneled walls, soft amber lighting, and that unmistakable speakeasy charm. Its very small and cozy, resembling a night out camping. And then there's Angelina. From the moment we sat down, she made the experience absolutely unforgettable. She knew the menu inside and out, recommended a smoked old-fashioned that came with a toasted marshmallow. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does--and it shows. She's the secret ingredient that turns a good night into a great one!
Who'd expect a pretty small restaurant to add a small speakeasy to their location? I think it's brilliant as we all love speakeasies and it was packed, while the restaurant, Bacchus, was empty, on a Saturday night. It was rainy So Cal day so that could explain why no one was dining out. We put ourselves on the wait list which was about 30 mins or so. When we got there, they didn't really check our name. The gal said she only has barstool seating for two. We said, ok. The place is so tiny, but cozy, as the name implies! I found the my drink good, but nothing too crazy special. I had the Camp Anawanna which is a graham cracker infused bourbon and a torched marshmellow drink. It was good, but not for $17. I also didn't care for the service. I don't think I'd return.
I tried the camp anawanna with marshmallow cocktail and apple pie shot, which were both tasty. The bourbon tasted like fireball, missing the "graham cracker" note, and the apple pie tasted like green apple and no cinnamon. Both had a good balance of liquor and sweetness. The decor makes it a cool place to grab a drink and has a chill cabin vibe. Service was fine, as they made sure to announce last call for the bar and food, but didn't check up on us for anything besides for ordering.
genuinely was amazed by how cute this spot was! it's definitely smaller than expected and it really is hidden but worth it! I loved the camp theme and the little cabins that you could sit in. the food and drinks were also amazing! I got the lychee drink which tasted delicious and it was strong. for food, definitely get the bbq fries, the flavor was amazing and addicting. we also got the glamping plate which is like a charcuterie board and I got shrimp and fish tacos. bartender was also super nice and shared with us some PBJ shots! service was great
I have visited Cozy Pine twice now and only have good things to say. Firstly the service is great, all very nice and I got a complimentary smore tart plate from my server the last time I visited. The location is also good, there is tons of parking available and I have never had trouble finding a spot. The drinks here are STRONG which is good, but bad if you're driving, so get a couple snacks to sober you up haha. They usually require reservations due to the small capacity of the Cozy Pine room but I think it is definitely worth checking out!
In search of a fun spot for good conversation that was unique. This place seemed to check all the boxes so I made reservations. It's located in a shopping center so plenty of parking and the cozy pine is located in the back of Bacchus Bar and Bistro so that's where you enter. It took me a second to figure it out. Once you enter you realize how small it is with very few tables so not great for big parties so recommendations are the best. The drinks selections are pretty fun and tasty as well as the fries. Definitely try the fries!!! Service was great and our server always made sure we had what we needed. If you're looking for a cool fun place to get a drink with a couple friends or date night this is definitely a spot to try out. There are amazing food places around as well.
We came for apertifs and all of the drinks were soooo good. We tried lychee, dirty Girl Scout (minty whiskey), and a Smokey mezcal. We LOVED their crispy fries. It tasted like Lays BBQ chips.
I don't go to speakeasies or bars often and my friend wanted to try this spot so we made a reservation to come. Personally, I have never heard of this place before, but my friend said she had seen a lot of tiktoks and it was hard to get a spot. After trying it, I can see why! The inside is very small. The largest party a table can fit is 4 and the whole place can fit maybe 8 parties of 4 max since there's 6 tables and 1 long bar area. We made a reservation for a party of 4 on a Monday at 6:30 pm. Both "tents" which are more intimate tables, were taken already. Food was okay. My friend got the BBQ Shoestring Fries ($12) and my other friend got the Campfire Guacamole ($14). They accidentally gave us the glamping plate ($15). We ended up sharing the Chocolate S'more Tarts ($14) as well. For drinks, my friends got the Camp Anawanna ($17)and Devil's Postpile ($17). I got the Lavender Fields which was a lemon drop which wasn't on the menu. I liked my drink as it was sweet as expected. The server said the Camp Anawanna was one of the sweeter drinks on the menu, but my friend disagreed. She ended up getting a different drink and the server was nice and changed her drink at no extra charge. Overall food and drinks weren't anything crazy, I did enjoy the fries and my drink, but I wouldn't come back specifically for them. The theming for the place is very cool though! Service was a little slower. Since the speakeasy is inside of Bacchus, and in a whole separate room, you can't see when tables need assistance. We found it difficult to get their attention and it got pretty busy in there. They were very nice though. As I said earlier, they changed my friends drink and didn't charge us for the glamping plate since they accidentally gave it to us. For ambience, this is where Cozy Pine excelled. It truly feels like you're in a cabin and the vibes were great. Very cozy and comfy. Perfect for couples or for a girl's night out. I love the decor and even the mugs for the water. The menu is also well curated for the place. I would definitely be back, but give myself some time to enjoy the atmosphere!
Highly recommend making a reservation when you come! It's VERY tiny and cozy inside (much smaller than we anticipated with only few tables). The interior is SUPER cute and cabin themed with dimly lit orange/firey lighting. It's located inside Bacchus Bar. They have a good selection of finger food here - we ordered bbq fries which were delicious and tasted like bbq chips - the fries were thin and crispy which I love. We also ordered the smores which were more of a cold chocolate pudding inside a cookie wrapped in toasted marshmallows - it was super delicious!! The drinks here are yummy and they have mocktail options available as well.
Pricey food and drinks for the ambiance. We came during the World Cup and since the Speakeasy is not fully enclosed, we could see the big screen projector above the "roof". There is a window at the entrance and we thought the food and drinks would come out from there, but instead servers kept opening and closing the main sliding door to enter. Kind of an annoyance since people outside can see in, and people inside could see out.

The cozy pine is so cute! An experience you have to try at least once. I went on a weekday and it was perfect, no wait and quiet inside the speakeasy. Service was quick and waitress was attentive. Food and drinks were yum but I would say a little over priced. read more
So cute! Best ambiance had a wonderful time!! Only bummer is you reserve a booth and someone can sit there for hours and drink water while you are wanting the experience and they don't turn tables. There should be a 2hr limit so everyone can enjoy! read more
Cool spot to check out, but not worth the hype. As much as I love the theme and decor of this place, I felt the overall execution was lacking. For instance the walls were not sealed all the way to the ceiling, so you can hear the restaurant chatter. The drinks were fun but subpar & the food was okay. Even the space was cramped and small, felt like they took a tiny portion of the restaurant, built a box and threw the theme together. The service was friendly. Overall wouldn't come back, but fun to experience if you've already explored everything else. read more

My friend and I found this place to grab a drink and blow off some steam from the week. We were the first reservation and it was a cozy time. We love the drink, the food, and the ambience. It was a small space and it felt like we were out in the mountains in a cabin. It was a very cozy time. I recommend giving this place a try! read more

I know I start off all my speakeasy reviews like this, but some times you've just got to flex your credentials up front I have been to 272 speakeasies/tiki bars across the nation. Thus when I talk about a speakeasy, I know of which I speak. With that said... Cozy Pine is absolutely adorable! This place wins out on ambience alone. I bit cramped to earn the "perfect date night" designation, but pretty close none the less. The service was great and the munchies were a welcome addition to the menu. As for mixology... it was pretty straight forward and safe, but damn tasty. We sampled everything on the menus and The Camp Anawanna was the clear favorite. Had such fun that I'm already planing my next trip to the Great White North... in Irvine. read more

We checked in with the host at Bacchus and were led through a bookcase into a very tiny, intimate space with just enough room for 6 tables and four bar seats. The decor gives cozy cabin/forest/camping vibes with old country music softly playing in the background. We ordered the salt and vinegar popcorn and corn dip with chips. The chips were so crunchy and delicious, and the dip was prepared with fresh ingredients. We tried the Scout Troop 55, Death Valley, and Ruby's Expedition cocktails. They were all well balanced (definitely not spirit forward). I expected a pour that justified the prices, plus it is, after all, a speakeasy, so drinks should have been more potent in my opinion. The Scout Troop 55 was my favorite. Ruby's had a nice presentation, but it was too herbaceous for me. I tasted pine needles as opposed to rosemary. Our server was friendly and helpful in answering our questions. From start to finish, we were at Cozy Pine for an hour, and that was sufficient to soak in the ambiance and try several items on the menu. read more

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I've been seeing this place pop up on instagram and I've been to the old Bacchus lots of times. This place is the same spot but SO NEW!! Totally different look and feel. The food and drinks were always good but somehow they got better??? The Cozy Pine speakeasy is my jam!! Jenny was our super amazing waitress. She shared cool insights about the background of the bar and really took pride in the business. Definitely make a reservation ahead of time. I made that mistake and waited around three hours to get it but it was well worth it. It's a completely different drink and food menu inside and it gives a disney'ish vibe once you're inside. Cloudy with a Chance of Cocktails! I really enjoyed my visit tonight. It's a lot smaller inside than I thought (maybe 25 or so seats), but it keeps the experience intimate which I appreciate. The cocktails were well crafted and balanced. RUBY'S FIRST EXPEDITION was a lovely, light gin drink with some burnt rosemary that wet my whistle. SCOUT TROOP 55 was a delicious vodka based drink that has some sweetness to it. The mint inside was really aromatic and fresh. CAMP ANAWANNA was the one that blew my socks off. The graham cracker whiskey and burnt marshmallow with the light sweetness of the licor 43 was really well balanced. I got hints of vanilla, chocolate and orange in this old fashioned cocktail. Food: we split the DEVILED EGGS, SHISHITO PEPPERS and FRIED GOAT CHEESE BALLS. The fried goat cheese balls were my favorite with some drizzled honey over the top. Here for: food, drinks, ambiance Food - The menu was pretty limited, but we ordered the corn dip, goat cheese balls, and skewers. The food was okay, nothing special and small portions. Drinks - similar to the food, also a small menu. Ordered the first expedition, and it was light/refreshing but didn't have much depth. Ambiance - Cute and cozy as the namesake. Pretty tight space, but that's to be expected. Service - Overall, the service was okay until I asked if I could order a drink off of the Bacchus menu and the server said no we could only order off of Cozy Pine, which I was okay with until I saw other parties ordering wine and beer off of the other menu. 3.5 stars. Absolutely nothing bad about this place. Just not my favorite speakeasy. It opened very recently. My best friend saw it on ig and it was already booked so we made a reservation for the Wednesday after next. It's inside Bacchus. We walked in and must have looked generally confused cause the guy pointed us to a table at the back to wait at. It was less than a 10 min wait for our 8pm reservation. It is tiny. The bookshelf is the entrance. Two covered wooden booth tables that seat four. Two open beach style tables that seat four. A thin bar top along the side that seats four. And another bar top along the other side that seats four. One server for the whole thing but he was pretty good. The decor is cute. Very cozy cone motel at Disneyland. Def felt like someone's passion project. Not that it feels super unfinished just not the highest quality grade. Food is all small bites reminiscent of camp food. my friend go the tomato soup for one and it came in a camp cup that was less than half full - for $14. My other friend got the corn dip and it was fine. Her boyfriend got the skewers and said it was good - but not $20 good. I got the deviled eggs (4 halves) for $9 and that didn't feel outrageous to me, I enjoyed them cause I love deviled eggs. Drinks. The Apex Predator is a pretty purple drink. I actually didn't hate it but I'm not a fan of orgeat so I probably wouldn't order it myself. The Ruby's First Expedition was nice - very refreshing. I *loved* my Smokey's Night Out. The vegan chocolate cream was amazing and as a lactose-intolerant person, I'm a huge fan. I'm not a fan of old fashioneds or whiskeys in general but the Camp Anawanna was surprisingly good to me. All drinks averaged $18. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves. It was cool just to check something out. Not super high on my list to come back to though, except maybe to see how it changes in maybe a year compared to their first month open. read more

Cool little speakeasy that honestly was in an unsuspecting location. The inside is very small with dim lighting, but fitting for traditional speakeasy style. Food and service were good! Only reason for 4/5 is the drinks were only okay & the fact that the door had to constantly be opened/closed from the main restaurant, which takes away a bit. Overall, worth checking out! read more

Cute and creative little space...and we mean little...cozy space to hang in. It is surprisingly the amount of people that fit in that tight small space. The atmosphere is fun and makes you get away from the normal oc vibe for a little. Drinks are creative and the food was good but over priced for the amount. Service was wonderful and well paced for us to enjoy our little get away! Definitely a place to go to if you're into different speakeasy themes! read more

It's tucked in the corner of an established restaurant. Reservations are definitely the way to go. Cozy Pines ambiance is wonderful and the drinks are amazing. The food options are more snack foods than actual entrees so don't come expecting a full meal. The only comment I'll make about the service is that while the staff is super friendly, it got progressively slower throughout the night (& the restaurant itself, nor Cozy Pine were super busy). It became difficult to get the attention of a staff member of we wanted to order more. read more

Cozy, warm ambiance! We were seated very fast on a Monday night. Service was great- we weren't familiar with the drinks beforehand so our server explained each drink to us which was very kind! I recommend the corn dip and their Apex predator drink. It's fruity and sweet. If want a more refreshing drink, try the Scout troop. Ruby's first expedition is also a cool drink since they bring out a blowtorch to roast the rosemary garnish. If you like small cozy spaces with warm lighting, great drinks, and a unique overall experience, definitely try this place out at least once!! read more

We had a reservation but waited 30+ minutes to be seated after our reservation time. It's crazy because almost all restaurants will discard your reservation after 15 minutes, so to make you wait 30 minutes without offering you anything to make up for it.... We were offered to order cocktails or appetizers in their restaurants but we came here for the speak easy. A cocktail or appetizer on the house to make up for the wait would have been enough to create a good evening. They also had a completely different menu than advertised. Newer place, so I might give it another chance, but I was not impressed, especially when comparing it to other great OC speak easies read more

The music in here is so unhealthily and obnoxiously loud.. it is 100% unsafe. The tomato soup was good. Service was kind. We told the manager and he said ok thanks. Not coming back. read more

We went to Cozy Pines this weekend. We Had a wonderful time and the ambiance was perfect. The best part was the amazing customer service. We truly appreciated the kind staff and accommodations. I highly recommend coming here. The food was small and eclectic but it did the job. The best part was how much effort the owner put into the wood work of the spot. Definitely a 10/10! read more

We had made a reservation at 9 and were seated a few minutes after. Our host was very lovely and was managing the whole section/room. Overall great service for how busy it was. The interior is so fun and charming! We loved looking around and seeing how many birds we could find in the decor. Our favorite was the singing bass in our booth. We did not order food but the drinks were very delicious and a bit strong! The Apex Predator was delicious! Overall this is such a cute spot and I can't wait to see how it evolves in the next few months! read more

There was about 6 booths and could fit 2 -3 people in each one and there was a couple high chairs. So maybe around 20 seats
How far in advance can I make a reservation? I see that it's only an available thru the beginning of December right now.
They book out 2 weeks from the date you want to reserve.
Is the food offered enough for dinner or just to accompany the drinks as appetizers?
It's a super cute place and the snacks are good, but I wouldn't say it's enough for dinner personally. There's a restaurant outside of it that has a much wider menu so you could always eat there if you're still hungry.

The Cozy Pine opens at 5:30pm everyday. We close at 9pm on Sundays and 11pm the rest of the week.

A lot of their small bites is vegetarian, and they use a vegan chocolate sauce in some drinks.

Hi, we are currently working on curating one to be on our menu, but our bar team will happily shake or stir something up for you according to your preference!
Do you need reservations or are walk ins allowed?
You can walk-in, but might have to wait if it's full since it's small inside. Reservations are easily made on Yelp as well.

Hi, we have a full liquor program. The cocktails are made to order from the main bar at Bacchus, but the space is its own enclosed experience. We hope to see you soon!
